So I was pondering why Buddy's secondary interest is Tasty (if there's any rationale behind it) and I have two theories/headcanons as to why that is:

Being the sole employee left at the hotel, he presumably has to handle the other duties besides being the bellhop... including cooking the meals when guests order room service. After all, there's a whole minigame in Party DS dedicated to handling room service. If we're to assume it's Buddy cooking the meals as well as delivering them, he must have some cooking skills that are at least decent.

On a slightly sadder note, going back to him being the only employee, certainly he's extremely busy and rarely gets a proper break. He might be constantly hungry cuz he doesn't get enough time to properly feed himself. Poor guy. :(

buddy my best friend buddy (the guy who i was sorta thinking of)

i love stories where a character is like a really important and cool guy in the narrative, like they're the main character of the universe, they move the story forward and the action happens around them, and their sidekick/partner/best friend is just a Normal Guy (gender neutral) that doesn't seem to be doing anything particularly serious (besides sometimes maybe helping the main character) and they love eachoter so much
