This morning, DC announced DC FanDome, a 24-hour virtual event to be held in August. The event, which seems to be fulfilling the role usually served by the company's Comic Con International panels, will be "the largest virtual gathering of talent announcements and content reveals in the history of DC," the company said in a statement. DC FanDome will not be just for the publishing side, but will include announcements for TV, film, and video games -- something that will inevitably raise a lot of questions from fans. With no new production likely to be underway for DC's TV series by August, what will be shown?
DC describes FanDome as "an unprecedented opportunity to hear from the casts and creators behind your favorite feature films and TV series, including: Aquaman, The Batman, Batwoman, Black Adam, Black Lightning, DC Super Hero Girls, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, DC’s Stargirl, Doom Patrol, The Flash, Harley Quinn, Lucifer, Pennyworth, SHAZAM!, the Snyder Cut, The Suicide Squad, Supergirl, Superman & Lois, Teen Titans GO!, Titans, Watchmen, Young Justice: Outsiders and, coming this fall to theaters worldwide, Wonder Woman 1984." All of this content will be virtually housed in 6 different, fully-programmed areas inside the virtual DC FanDome: “Hall of Heroes” (Main Hall), DC WatchVerse, DC YouVerse, DC KidsVerse, DC InsiderVerse and DC FunVerse. Content will be available in 10 languages including English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Brazil Portuguese, Korean, Japanese and Chinese. Additionally, content programmed from specific countries will be in their native language.

Superman: Man of Tomorrow World Premiere

Be among the first fans to witness the world premiere screening of Superman: Man of Tomorrow, the latest entry in the popular series of DC Universe Movies. It’s the dawn of a new age of heroes, and Metropolis has just met its first. But as Daily Planet intern Clark Kent — working alongside reporter Lois Lane — secretly wields his alien powers of flight, super-strength and X-ray vision in the battle for good, there’s even greater trouble on the horizon. Follow the budding hero as he engages in bloody battles with intergalactic bounty hunter Lobo and fights for his life to halt the attack of power-hungry alien Parasite. The world will learn about Superman — but first, he must save the world! Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner Darren Criss (Glee) and Emmy nominee Zachary Quinto (Star Trek, Heroes) lead a star-studded cast as the voices of Superman/Clark Kent and Lex Luthor, respectively. The cast also includes Alexandra Daddario (San Andreas) as Lois Lane, Brett Dalton (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) as Parasite/Rudy Jones, Ryan Hurst (Sons of Anarchy, The Walking Dead) as Lobo, and Iké Amadi (Mass Effect 3) as Martian Manhunter.

Remember when DC Comics rejiggered everything with Flashpoint. Then you think things are back to normal and then POW! BLAP! BONK! Here comes the New 52. You think...okay. I can get used to this, then suddenly Convergence and then Rebirth. Well, now DC Fandome has pulled a fast one in that it is breaking up the 24-hour event.
DC Fandome is now split up over two days with the first- Hall of Heroes landing on Earth-Prime Saturday, August 22nd and the second on September 12th. That one being Explore the Multiverse (even though DC Comics have been trying to get rid of the multi-verse for 30 years which is why Crisis happened, but anyway....)
What this means is that any content one was going to watch in the Watchverse module like the SUPERMAN & LOIS panel
or BATMAN: THE THREE JOKERS or the MOSTLY DCEASED panels will have to wait until September. And all other content - Kidsverse, InsiderVerse, YouVerse and FunVerse is also relegated to September like how Brainiac relegated the people of Kandor to a bottle city and then eons later they were released and Superman set them up near the Fortress of Solitude because they were wilding.
Like that...but different.
- Reportedly Matt Reeves’ THE BATMAN will resume filming in September. Already some fans have caught a case of the sads because the rumored logo for The Batman has surfaced.
Looks familiar.
How does it stack up against the other cinematic Batman logos?

DC FANDOME INJUSTICE 3 TV
DC FANDOME INJUSTICE 3 FREE
KST.ĭo you think Ed Boon’s presence at the DC FanDome hides the Injustice 3 announcement? Do you think he will participate in the event to discuss another project? What would you like to see in a possible Injustice 3? Tell us all in the comments below. The DC FanDome 2021 will indeed begin on October 16 from 7 p.m. Players won’t have to wait long to find out the reasons behind Ed Boon’s participation in the FanDome. But if Injustice-like Marvel does exist, it certainly won’t be revealed during the DC FanDome. A rumor says in this regard that the Chicago studio is currently working on a Marvel fighting game. NetherRealm Studios, the developer of Injustice and Mortal Kombat, was indeed looking for people to work on titles taken from these two licenses intended for next-generation consoles.ĭespite this, it should be borne in mind that this same Ed Boon said last year that his studio is not just working on MK and Injustice. A job offer discovered in June 2020 indicated, for example, that he was preparing the future of the series. However, everything suggests that he is well in the plans of Warner Bros. Injustice 3 or something else before?Ī third episode of Injustice has not yet been officially announced. An Injustice 3 announcement would therefore have its place in a DC FanDome. As previously indicated, news from Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will be given there, for example.
DC FANDOME INJUSTICE 3 TV
Video games featuring the latter will therefore be approached in the same way as films, comics or even TV series. And on the latter is none other than Ed Boon, the director of the first two Injustice.Īs a reminder, the DC FanDome is a virtual fair devoted to the news of DC super heroes in all media. The American studio has indeed unveiled the list of personalities who will participate in its online event. DC FanDome is DC’s free, global virtual fan event featuring a live webcast and activities, for one day only, where we showcase our biggest movies, games, shows, comics and more and get up close and personal with the people behind the characters and worlds we love. Check out more than 17,000 fan art, cosplay, and user-generated content submissions from around the world, and don’t forget to vote for your favorites.Ĭheck out the preview of the DC FanDome: Explore The Multiverse above. Will Injustice 3 be among the announcements made during DC FanDome 2021? This is what an announcement made today by Warner Bros.

DC FanDome to Reveal DCEU, Arrowverse, and More DC Universe Secrets
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
The comics world is still disappointed at the necessary cancellation of an entire year of conventions due to the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak in the United States. While more than half the fun of the comic con experience was being part of the joyful, sweaty mass of people wandering the floor and feeding off of each other’s excitement, a good chunk of that feeling was the hype of new movies, panels with beloved creators, and the flood of breaking news hurtling out of them. DC Entertainment is trying to capture some of that magic on August 22 with DC FanDome.
Announced this morning, DC FanDome is a 24 hour digital event that tries to wrap up every part of the convention experience except tripping over someone’s cardboard buster sword and bring it into living rooms around the world. The event will feature news and announcements, exclusive footage, and interactive presentations for every time zone, in multiple languages. It will include announcements from Warner Bros’ Pictures, TV, Games, and DC Comics, and promises to have new information and creators from some of the biggest deals in DC Entertainment.
By accessing the official site, DCFanDome.com, viewers will be taken into the Hall of Heroes, the main hub for all of the big news. From there, they can head to one of five satellite “worlds”, leaning heavily into the Multiverse theme.
DC WatchVerse is the home for panels, screenings, footage, and behind the scenes details from DC Films, TV, home video and games.
DC YouVerse has fan-created content that Warner Brothers licenses into infinity if a fan signs up to create for them. DC KidsVerse will have family-friendly content for all ages.
DC InsiderVerse is the con panel experience, with introductions to all of the various spheres of DC content, and behind the scenes looks at the making of DC comics, games, TV shows, movies, parks and toys.
DC FunVerse has the con shopping experience – digital giveaways, comics, model kits, and some exclusives.
The Blerd and Boujee House promises “a celebration of Black nerd culture…bringing Blerds, LatinxGeeks and all nerds ‘party-with-a-purpose’ vibes.”
Check out the “map” to the DC FanDome…
Fans will also be encouraged to submit their own DC art and fandom displays, with the press release asking fans to “show us your cosplay, makeup, tattoos and even your own Batcave!”
But DC has also promised the opportunity to hear from “the casts and creators behind your favorite feature films and TV series.” And from the looks of it, we’re going to get a ton of new information about upcoming projects.
Called out by name are Aquaman, The Batman (could we get more teaser footage?), Batwoman (maybe this is where we learn more about the mysterious “Ryan Wilder”), Black Adam, Black Lightning, DC Super Hero Girls, Legends of Tomorrow, Stargirl (this had better mean we’re getting a season 2 announcement, Doom Patrol, The Flash, Harley Quinn (give us a season three confirmation, please!), The Snyder Cut of Justice League, Lucifer, Pennyworth, Shazam!, The Suicide Squad, Supergirl, Superman and Lois, Teen Titans GO!, Titans, Watchmen, Wonder Woman 1984, and Young Justice: Outsiders.
That’s…a lot of cool DC live action and animation projects. The Wonder Woman 1984 focus is entirely predictable – with the movie being pushed back to the fall, this is an easy way to keep people excited for that, assuming theaters continue to exist in October.
The Suicide Squad is one of the post Wonder Woman 1984 movies we know more about, but it’s still a little too far out for the hype to be oppressive. Likewise for Superman & Lois and season 4 of Young Justice. And Black Adam is an almost completely blank slate – we know nothing about it besides that The Rock is really excited for it to eventually happen. So it will be very interesting to see what comes of it.
“There is no fan like a DC fan,” Ann Sarnoff, Chair and Chief Executive Officer of Warner Bros. said in a statement. “For more than 85 years, the world has turned to DC’s inspiring heroes and stories to lift us up and entertain us, and this massive, immersive digital event will give everyone new ways to personalize their journey through the DC Universe without lines, without tickets and without boundaries. With DC FanDome, we’re able to give fans from around the world an exciting and unparalleled way to connect with all their favorite DC characters, as well as the incredible talent who bring them to life on the page and screen.”
DC FanDome will take place on August 22.
