Still on both that ohuhus on watercolor paper and drawing very pink d&d red dragons. And oh my god seeing the original picture I took and the post-adjustment picture is wild

One time, when I was DMing a campaign for my family I gave them a pet that came in the form of a red dragon child who actually had the soul of a golden retriever dog instead of the soul of the previous red dragon. So they just had this big red dragon following them around everywhere, lifting his leg to pee on trees, being a big lovable doof, and scaring ALL of the local population centers. They did not know the dog's original name, so they named the dragon Clifford.

My favourite bit of BG3 lore is that Withers is legitimately responsible for the Dead Three, but he's probably too embarrassed to tell you, so every time you ask him to elaborate he just gives you a very stern, "Noooo."

I also love that the reason he's responsible for their uprising is because he got bored. He literally got bored of his position as Lord of the Dead and wanted to retire, so when these three morally questionable humans came looking for godhood he was like, "Hmmm. Yes, okay. Here. Take my portfolios. Fight over them. I don't care. I quit."

So after bowling with skulls in a friendly competition to decide who would get what portfolio, they took up his powers and wreaked havoc on the world. Only at that moment did Jergal, AKA Withers, AKA our precious Bone Daddy think, "I'm just now, internally, asking myself, in quite a worried way, whether I might've made an error."

So he joins your merry band and watches your escapades, calmly twiddling his fingers while you clean up his mess. He's happy to lend his aid, even to the point that he'll bring Durge back to life if they reject Bhaal, even though he technically shouldn't. But he's Withers. The rules don't apply to him. If Ao doesn't like it, he can descend from the Heavens and say it to his rotting face.

And the reason he saves Durge isn't necessarily because he likes them or because he's a morally good entity (though one certainly could make that argument), but because he wants to add insult to injury. He steals Bhaal's child with a big smile on his face, dubs them his Chosen, and praises them for rejecting all the power they were promised. But of course, he still doesn't tell them who he is—or rather who he was.

Then, when all is said and done, he throws Tav and their companions a cute little party. No one knows it's probably half a thank you party and half a "Withers is bored again" party. And if anyone misbehaves, he'll get irritated and whisk them away. Because how dare they? He put a lot of work into that.

And at the end of it all, he walks up to a mural of the Dead Three and basically goes, "Lmao. Thou didst fuck around, and thou didst find out." Just savagely roasting them.

And then poof!

He waves them into non-existence.

Oggi andiamo Off Topic, ma non troppo perché scopriremo assieme dei dadi, dei D20, molto speciali, dei dadi che letteralmente prenderanno vita, oggi infatti scopriremo assieme i Dicelings!

Da un po di tempo a questa parte Hasbro ha letteralmente inondato l mercato con gadget dedicati a Dungeons & Dragons, tazze, felpe, lampade e con l'arrivo nei cinema di Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves le uscite si sono intensificate, da super nerd sono riuscito a stento resistere alle action figure tratte dal cartone animato anni 80, ma quando ho visto i Diceling, mi sono dovuto fiondare da Inchiostro & Tempera per farmi procurare questi capolavori dell'arte nerd!

Diceling sono dei D20 Transformers che si tramutano nelle creature del mondo di Dungeons & Dragons: Orso Gufo, Beholder, Draghi, Mimic e tanti tanti altri, io per ora me ne sono fatti prendere solo 3 dagli amici di Inchiostro e Tempera ma dopo averli aperti sono entrato in un cubo gelatinoso di desideri di avere anche tutti gli altri!

For my personal art challenge I made for myself at the last minute.

Day 8 - Draw character as a pirate.

Dragon giving Luffy to Garp with the assumption that he's going to take care of him until he's ready to meet his son (because it's dangerous to have a child while he starts a fucking revolution, thank you very much) and then Garp just- Leaving Luffy on a village where he spends 24/7 alone waiting for the pirate he now considers his role model (because he doesn't have anybody else and Shanks is the only father figure around and he's just that nice) to come back from his adventures, and only being taken care of by Makino who has no responsibility over Luffy but still takes care of him because otherwise the kid would probably die from starvation, and lucky for him she's a sweetheart. And then he loses Uta, his only friend (with no explanation at all), to then carry the guilt of Shanks losing an arm for him and suddenly his legacy as a pirate. And then he's sent to another place with other people he doesn't know, because Garp thought "oh, yes, wonderful idea to leave my grandson with this depressed kid and some bandits" and Luffy luckily befriends Ace and Sabo because they're good people. Luckily. And luckily, Dadan is a good mom and loves them. But then Sabo fucking dies because nobody with authority was protecting these kids (I wonder who could've done that). And now Luffy has to carry both guilt, a legacy, and the biggest abandonment issues I've ever seen after losing his best friend and his brother when they were just children.

And I'm not saying Garp has made horrible decisions but he has made horrible decisions and Dragon should hit his own dad with Sabo's metal pipe.

⭐PRINCESS RAYLA⭐

Playing around imagining what an older Rayla might look like (a total excuse to draw her in a dress).

I think she's between 25 and 30 here, got a bit to get used having the title as the first elven princess of The Pentarchy. The earrings are a reference to her Arc 2 concept art but for a lot of reasons it made sense they scrapped the idea so I HC that when the war is over and she doesn't have to fight anymore she will let her hair loose, wear jewerly and pretty dresses (ofc all gifted by Callum since we know how babygirl is).

Her back is open because Callum wants to enjoy the view

Kinda really hate it when people compare Dragon and Yassop in terms of deadbeat dad-ness cause like ?? They’re so completely different??

Dragon left his child, not because he wanted to, but because he had to. He was waging war against the world essentially and didn’t want to brand his son a criminal right along side him. So instead he left his baby in the care of his father, someone with the power and status to protect Luffy if and when his parentage comes out. He makes the effort to personally show up in Loguetown to protect Luffy and encourage him on his path. He continually faces east because it’s the closet he can get to watching over him.

This is a father doing everything in his power to protect his son, even if it means never seeing him.

In contrast, Yassop left his sick wife and young son to go chase his dreams of piracy and just..never came back. He did come back to the East Blue admittedly but only to drink in bars with his crew mates and tell other little kids how awesome the son he barely knows is. When given the chance to actually meet that son, he clams up and begs his captain to not touch anchor on Wano, claiming he’s ‘not ready to face Usopp yet.’

This is a man too cowardly to face the consequences of his actions and face his family aka a deadbeat.

In conclusion, Dragon is beating the deadbeat dad allegations meanwhile the deadbeat allegations are bearing Yassop's ass.
