I made a coding infographic/slideshow for anyone getting into coding and are stuck! I'm seeing a lot of new codeblr blogs coming up recently and they're all beginners and I have been getting a lot of asks which basically all ask "I'm new to coding, how do I start?", so I decided to make this at 1am in the morning real quick! 🥲😭

• C# - spent ~1 year so far practicing, more comfortable, can build whole sites/programs with little help

• HTML & CSS - started ~5 months ago, confident in both, can style a site without help online, still much to learn

• JavaScript + Vue - Axios - can build “full stack” applications where i do both backend & frontend and host online (love JS!!)

• REST - experienced for 5 months! can build my own REST API, use someone elses with axios & test it thoughoutly with Postman (+Javascript code)

• Unit testing & UI testing - learned so many better ways to unit test & UI test more indeph

• Started leaning Git more with commands

• SQL - can manipulate simple databases and more one from scratch

& huge thanks to my sister @niyacodes for being on this journey with me 💓

++++ I went to a 5 hour exam for all these subjects (+- more) and got the highest grade possible 🥹 (i failed my first programming exam in 1st sem!!!!) ((pic is my favorite after study-snack))

I’m studying for my CS finals and there’s a subject where I have to explain the programming pipeline and one of the steps is Decode

I kinda fucked up this semester and barely coded anything apart from in my algorithms and DS class. Now i have an exam in a month and am incapable of stringing 2 lines of OOP together . Fuck my life.

Just had a flashback to when I was peer programming with another student and we were messing around with our VScode and I made my theme sexy anime girls for the lolz and then I got called on to share my screen with the class to show my solution.

Damn starting my first computer science class and i feel isolated from my peers. I feel like everyone knows whats going on and i dont :( and im seeing people that ive had classes with and theyll just wave to me and idk if i have the rapport to talk to them.

How to learn: HTML | Resources ✨

I have come back with a new resource I've made! This time about how to learn HTML! I'm starting from the basics right now and working my way up of 'how to learn' info resources!😅

I've made a HTML resource in the past (one | two) but this one is a bit more detailed and has tips of how I studied HTML. I use HTML on the daily so though I would share my knowledge with more people. Again, just like my previous resource "Starting your coding journey", this is more targeted towards absolute beginners or for people who want to learn how to customise their Tumblr blog/Neocite! 👩🏾‍💻

WE GOT AN A+ ON THE HARDEST EXAM IN OUR EDUCATION!! 🩷

yesterday, we had to take an individual written exam that is notoriously known in our education as the hardest exam to pass in.

its a mix between programming and technology. so 4-5 programming projects + some technology ones using python and a raspberry pi.

we’ve been studying EVERYDAY for the past 6 months for this exam. in my affirmations and visualizations, i’ve only wanted to get a B, because I deemed that the most realistic grade to get was that.

WE BOTH GOT A 12 (highest grade in the grade system) which equals to A+ in the US!!

only 5 people from our class got an A+ OUT OF 35 STUDENTS!

fun fact: i’ve NEVER got an A+ in my entire life. this is a huge mile stone for us.

studying works. doing coding projects works. subliminals & affirmations WORK.

now we only have an oral group exam left next week, and then we’ll be relaxing during the HOLIDAYYSSSS 💕
