Daily Practice - Day 14

I wanted to add a small boat with characters lost in the swamp but the 30 minutes ended before I had time to do it

Should it continue to post the time lapse along with the pic ? I don't know if anyone is actually interested in seeing it

I started a little challenge for myself: I'll be doing 1-hour studies everyday till my school year starts and see what comes from it. For this particular one the main goals were: a). starting with blocks of colour without any lines; b). using brush on max opacity so there is no colour mixing. + I used a new brush

That was really difficult at first, especially the opacity thing, but after like 30 minutes I was pretty optimistic! It's not perfect, but I like it.

skull studies

i’m designing a tattoo for a friend based on the cover of his favorite album. i sketched the skull, but it was quite wonky- i’ve had a lot of wonky things lately. so it’s time to get to the sketchbook and study.

i studied skulls. here’s the closeup of each sketch.

the cheekbones and brow ridges were the most important part for finding the placement of the rest of the facial structure.

Was figuring out what the human version of Bill might look like throughout rewatching Gravity Falls a couple of weeks ago.

As many of us I like him badly when I was 12 so exploring new parts of his story and doodling some fanarts after the fandom resurgence is pretty joyful to me! Like I've never thought it could happen actually

first day of school, and immediately a scheduling conflict between two of my inclination courses, so i have to go quit one, which isn’t a hard decision, but it is a scary one

- reminded my teacher (for like the fourth time) to send me my recommendation letter (✓)

October 15, 2024. 533-536 30 minute class mode off of line of action. Usually I say I'm not feeling that confident about my drawings. But I don't know if its the energy that the 10min model gave off but I feel pretty happy with my drawing session today. (But also I don't know if I mark 'nude' in tags for a lil cylindrical waggy hanging off the dude.....like how detail do the drawings need to be before you consider them a drawing of a nude person)

Today I did a painting in the morning - unbelievable. The original idea for today was to study a style known as "hyperpop", but the idea proved itself to be too complicated. So, out of despair, I drew a still-life and tbh - really enjoyed it! I had such a great time (I can't believe I'm saying it about a still-life), and the reason for it, most likely, is the fact that you have to do them A LOT when you start to study in art school or uni. ")
