Clark Kent is sent to Gotham to write an in-depth profile on Bruce Wayne, but what begins as a professional assignment quickly evolves into something far more personal. The water cascaded down Bruce’s back, hot and steady, loosening the tension that had taken up permanent residence in his shoulders. 

He braced his palms against the tiled wall of the shower, letting the heat soak into his aching muscles. Last night’s gala had left him feeling drained, both mentally and physically. 

Socializing with Gotham’s elite was an exercise in endurance, one he’d never particularly excelled at.

And yet, his mind didn’t linger long on the suffocating crowd or the flashing cameras. 

Instead, it drifted to Clark Kent.

Clark, with his easy presence, his calm voice cutting through the noise. The way he’d placed a steadying hand on Bruce’s arm at just the right moment, offering an out when Bruce’s patience had been stretched to its limit. And that fleeting moment at the dinner table—the brief laughter they’d shared over some absurdly pretentious comment from one of Gotham’s socialites. 

Bruce hadn’t laughed like that in years, not genuinely.

He tilted his head back, letting the water stream over his face. 

There was something about Clark Kent that unsettled him, but not in the way he was used to. It wasn’t suspicion or unease. It was something far more complicated, something he wasn’t sure he wanted to name.

The shower eventually began to cool, pulling him back to the present. With a sharp sigh, he shut off the water and grabbed a towel, wrapping it around his waist. 

Steam swirled around him as he stepped out of the bathroom, droplets of water still clinging to his skin. He raked a hand through his damp hair, already bracing himself for another day of blending Bruce Wayne’s persona with the reality of Gotham’s demands.

But as he opened the bathroom door, he froze.

Clark was there, standing in the hallway, clearly on his way to the same bathroom.

had a dream where Charlie Slimecicle and Scott Smajor kissed.

Hold your horses, I think I'm cooking something here.

Very specifically it was end of las nevadas!c!charlie, whioch means that he would be traveling the world. And, considering Scott didn't have any particular skin (his red life series one but shhh) i'm gonna take liberties and make it Chromia scott. they're both traveling together and kissing on the llama owen. Owen often stays as a llama so he doesn't have to comprehend their homoerotic-ness.

and FINE if you want it to be like the dream, red life Scott is still traveling with Charlie and he's trying SOSOSOSO hard not to kill Charlie. Sometimes, though, sometimes... He can't take it anymore, and charlie's just there, sitting in the fields, so he just tries to kill him and his hands go through because it's slime. And he gets all his urges out on one night and acts normal the other. Charlie knows it's happening but doesn't say anything about it. I'm thinking Scott accidentally kills binky at some point
