under the cut because I didn't want to make it its own post, ive drawn my sona in the epic the musical universe <3 since they were already a gray catboy, i thought turning them into a winion-hybrid-thing would be fitting 😆

to clarify, 'azure' is a bit of a placeholder - it was already this character's name for a long time, so ill call him that until i figure out a more setting appropriate one (im open to suggestions lol)

Polites wears the headband on his arm as a reminder of past events (it's unsuitable for his current lifestyle anymore maybe?)

Also I think he would try to match Polites' aging, changing appearance subtly each day; one time, though, he would experimentally revert to something youthful (like the Titanomachy times) only to be told "gods above, no. change back." LMAO

And yeah he's still in disguise as a mortal because he doesn't want to jumpscare random people ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯ almost no one except Odysseus and a few others know who's chilling with Poli on that ancient equivalent of a farm

I need to know ur opinion on EuryPoli and how you would think they'd be like in a relationship 🪰

I honestly didn’t like EuryPoli that much at first but recently I’ve grown to appreciate it -w- I feel like Polites would love flirting with Eury since Eury tends to act more serious in public. But in private they’re cute. Definitely not that physical affectionate (imo) but they do enjoy some kisses and cuddles there and then.

Also no I totally don’t change my Eury design anytime I draw him-

A little bit of info for this au!!

So, yeah, Poseidon disguises himself as a common soldier, but all his plans of being a mysterious shadow behind the scenes of the main action come crumbling down when Polites decides "hey you're my friend now!" Consequently Poseidon proceeds to find himself in all sort of strange situations (some of which include Odysseus. that man has no chill)

And Poli! He's definitely gotten a bit too comfortable lol (no glasses for practical reasons ahem ahem)

We might need a name for Poseidon to use btw,, yes i came up with a whole story but not a name; im open for suggestions XD

Warning!! Sad things: the war ends, they part ways (insert drama here because Poseidon basically flees from his feelings and Polites feels betrayed because he didn't tell him a thing before just vanishing)

Then the cyclops thing happens. Polites dies. Poseidon comes to his son's call and discovers an all too familiar body in the cave. Of course he doesn't want to believe this but a trip to the underworld destroys any doubt and hope—yes you may mentally throw OP in tartarus that's my rightful place

and he doesn't recognize Poseidon either because a) dude isn't in mortal disguise anymore, b) his injury made him forget some people's faces, or both

I was thinking like... did Polites know about Odysseus yeeting the infant? (sorry for phrasing it that way but ehhh,,) Depending on the answer, Open Arms could have a different meaning and message, ykyk?
