3. do you leave the window open at night?

Nope, I live in the south so I got Air-conditioning (though currently using heat cuz it’s cold outside). Also I am terrified of spiders and hate all the bugs so I do not want them in my house. Plus I live alone in a 1 floor house so I’m not sure I would even then cuz like imagine someone crawls in or something…….

11. favorite extracurricular activity?

Uhhhh…………. Are you trying to make me choose between writing and drawing?… I don’t know, depends on my mood and how many brain cells I have, at the moment I’ve been enjoying downloading new procreate brushes and playing around with them… In high school, it was choir though and in college it was Minecraft. :)

18. what hair products do you use?

Not a lot to be honest, hair is not my skill set, that’s why I have my sister lol who’s excellent. But here are the conditioner and shampoo I’m currently using.

Though my scalp is consistently dealing with dandruff so sometimes I switch up the shampoo and use Selson Blue or even a prescription one when I have it although I have recently also splurged on Briogeo Scalp Revival products. I love that this conditioner really helps my natural curls and all I have to do is scrunch after the shower and let dry, though I also like the similar Aussie Miracle Curls, but I feel like that doesn’t hold the curls as long and can make my hair frizzier. (If I dye my hair, I like to use the Fructis Color Shield conditioner or if I find it on sale Amika Keep Your Color Conditioner.)

For days when I don’t wash my hair, I either put some of this curl stuff in a spray bottle with water then give my hair a good spray down before rescrunching and letting it dry, or use dry shampoo and do some kind of updo or half up. This is the one I’m trying currently that I got on sale somewhere but in the past I’ve used the brown Batista one because my hair is dark and a lot of brands will show up really obvious in my hair. I’m liking this invisible one so far though. :)

@sewerchildren i couldnt figure out how to use photos in replies so i just make a post of products i use…

i usually wash my hair w either dove shampoo + conditioner or maui shampoo and conditioner (the pink bottle for straight hair) with whatever i have atm

then i use this once or twice a week… i got it as a gift but i feel like it makes my skin super soft and smell super good …

then i use a dove body wash w a washcloth… rn im using the vanilla one but i domt like it too much i prefer the coconut bodywash

i also use this eos lotion called fresh and cozy but i honestly think it stank and i personally dont like it but some people compliment me on it… i think this lotion smells way less crazy and makes my skin softer…

#i feel like i got sponsored to do this LMAO #i also just use secret gel deodarant … but ive never been complimented on that smell it makes not stinky tho #i also just wash w a reg bar soap after shampooing before washing out conditioner…#rarely i wear like a body spray or perfume i got some from some friends as a gift but i find them really headache inducing if i use too much #i also will use stuff even if i hate it until its empty … hence some products i personally think stank

#guy playing with his hair properly for the first time: WTF is this stuff. have u guys seen this shit.#pomade and hair spray and mousse and leave in conditioner. and water spray bottles. are u writing this down....#ive been hyperfixating on hair care for a week send help #and I do mean that genuinely I keep playing salon for people and informing them of things they don't need to know. bc . fixated #hi i love you. did u know ur hair is super dehydrated and needs conditioner. and thats why its flat and frizzy.#did u know u can spray ur hair w/ water out of the shower and use products wet and that can help keep ur hair from losing volume from weigh #did u know u can change your hair part deliberately if its lying too flat to give those hairs/roots a break. again for volume #did u know if ur hair holds a curl at all. that means it is not Actually Straight.#And if you check in the shower you may find you have more wave than u realize.#I thought I had straight hair and I do not <3 at all <3 LMAO #went from frizzy miserable limp hair that flipped at the ends to suddenly my hair has volume and is much wavier than I thought possible LMA #anyways. oh god thts so much tags. sorry.#hyperfixation.....damn you....

telling random people that they probably have to shampoo their hair less than they think is a thankless job that no one listens to me for but someone must be a prophet that walks the earth

#my post #people are like wow how does your hair look so good?#1. the cheapest conditioner i can find that doesn't have parabens #2. i only shampoo (also with very cheap shampoo without parabens i personally use the tea tree stuff from tj's) once every two weeks #this amount of time will be different for everyone and sometimes people do just produce so much oil naturally they should be washing a lot #but i've heard a lot of people me included your hair basically recalibrates after a bit and my hair is like never greasy except shampoo day #3. a few sprays of de-frizzer when still wet because my hair is really curly and it does frizz and i don't love that look. that's it #this is obviously not universal but if you like your natural hair you probably don't have to do as much with it as you think #like letting it do its thing will probably make it healthier and you're not reliant on ten different random products from megacorps. yanno.#*note this is mainly advice for curly hair idk what straight hair maintenance is like. i've heard the shampoo thing is pretty universal tho #also this is not a new topic i just was talking to someone yesterday and they were like oh well my daughter uses this incredibly #expensive shampoo and wants hair like yours and i'm like she should use nothing at all and the lady was like no she won't like that
