Betting on Daniel’s S3 plotline being the gay vampiric version of Almost Famous. No way Lestat’s going on tour without someone to chronicle all the insanity that’ll ensue plus Daniel would absolutely jump at the chance to get Lestat’s side of the story. It’s the perfect setup.

Are you confusing the trip they took in early 1984 with the tour in 1986? The 84 one seems very harmonious and productive, but on the later one things seems to have changed.

Some book or article refers to the Joe Moss thing (dont remember where) that he (and mike and andy) wanted the whole homoeroticism thing toned down a lot. Seems to woken some bad feelings among them that they should be so "flagrant". The song What do you see in him later became Wonderful Woman at I think Joes insistence. If he was a spokesperson for the other two or speaking for him self, i dont know.

The whole deal with the Joe Moss affair is so dufficult to judge 40 years later. The man has been dead for years and he didnt speak to the press about his time as manager. I never got a grasp of him as a person. Did he see Morrissey as a weak card in the line up? Did he just dislike him? Did he want The Smiths as a pure rock group who would appeal to the most neanderthal amongst us? Who knows. I never knew or understood why he suddenly left but I think if he meddled with artistic output, he wasnt going to last anyway.

#if he had purely been organising tours #cars concerts and so on he would probably been a good match for them as a group. they all seemed to need a mentor figure who could lead #them in a good direction. but if he wanted artistic control and control of appearances they made he probably overstepped.#it wasnt so uncommon to replace a singer or other member of a band in those days. half of manchester claims to have been a early sniths #*smiths. i could be a clash of personalities or power struggle. very hard to say. johnny rogan wrote a book about different rock managers #and their role and manager style. (i own a copy but i cant find it :() could check if he wrote anything about him there.#morrissey #johnny marr #the smiths #marrissey

oh but you know what, though? since Daniel is making the docu with Lestat it means he'll probably be there with Lestat (and Louis) when the attack after the concert hits.. which means Armand very well might show up to save him (unlike in the book when they were already together at the concert)

#in the show it will probably be the tour finale #but how will the docu work with exposing everything that sets in motion the events since in the book it's lestat writing the book(s)#interview with the vampire #like when and how does the docu release? have to be before the attack since the vamps attack because of lestat's book #which released before his concert #so a docu while on tour means there has to be time between the docu release and the attacks #if the attacks even happen in the show

I will just say it, being a European Swiftie kinda sucks.

#It's always like... We're third world citizens #We get no surprise guests on concerts #They put like 100 books on the site for all of europe #They cancel a concert and it's just an afterthought #A footnote in the great scheme of things #I'm just sad that I was a part of the eras tour and I'll never be able to own this book #Or even read all the stories and stuff #It would just be such a nice memory to have of the tour that we poured so much time and feelings into #Don't minde #I'm just bitter

whyy are concerts so expensive and not close to me ಠ╭╮ಠ

#i talk #fuckn..montreux jazz festival with the best lineup but theres only two bands per concert and each costs over 100 #i could get there easily by train but the hotels are all booked #man if they had day passes to see several bands..air/soft cell/duran duran/kraftwerk/smashing pumpkins all on different dates..#absolutely not spending 500 for that excluding train and hotel #plus air is playing an openair festival next to where i work and they start 30mins after my shift on sunday #so i think ill just stand outside and listen lmao probably cant see inside though #alsoo the chameleons are doing a tour and its probably my only chance to see them and theyre like my fave rn #closest theyre doing is munich but like i have a direct train that takes 3.5 hours #i rly wanna do it but ill also need a place to stay overnight and idk how much i can trust se deutsche bahn or flixbus #and also its like 2 days before oktoberfest starts. im really hoping to avoid that esp munich #frankfurt might also be an option hmmm #i was thinking about literally going on a short trip to brighton to see them in august but idk if thats too much #would be more expensive too and id have to take a plane #ahh this is hard and i make it much harder by overthinking everything #ive never been to a concert in another country no idea how different/same it is
