Question Game. Describe yourself with 3 singers. Favorite book? Words that best describe you? If your world hadn't went to hell in a hand basket, what do you think you'd be doing now? + Sentry Skull
There are so many different versions of all of these boy and all the rest of the kiddies, omg. Wouldn't it be nice if my divergent brain could maintain peace with all the AUs? Whatever; I can just use his baseline personality.
Describe yourself with 3 singers:
Tori Amos; bold and brilliant and with a voice not terribly different from the one in his head in certain circumstances. Does what she wants and doesn't give a damn about other people's opinion. Ed Kowalczyk, lead singer of the band LIVE. Though strictly for the Throwing Copper album of 1994. Bulk once caught him trying to perform on the acoustic guitar in his garage the song "Iris" and mentioned Skull sounded almost spot-on like the artist, "Just give it a couple years." Which was not untrue. David Bowie in his song "Heart's Filthy Lesson" played at the beginning and ending of the movie Se7en. Oh so very symbolic, in his opinion.
Favorite book?:
Gerald's Game, by Stephen King. Not one of his most favored works, not one of his classics, but the reading of it has helped get him out of quite a few more scrapes than he would have otherwise. It's informative and meditative.
Words that best describe you?:
Craft. Cunning. Thinness. Quietness. Mischief. Malaise. Patience. Secrets. Shadow. Allusion.
If your world hadn't went to hell in a hand basket, what do you think you'd be doing now?:
The first thing that comes to mind is having actually comfortable sex, since there is a fair bit of certainty that he would have kept his balls and wouldn't have allowed his prick to be inverted to keep his cover when he joined the wretched Red Sentries all because Drakkon thought it might be easier to keep other captains in line if there was a hole to relieve their stress readily available...
But apart from that...it is a rather difficult thing to imagine--the possibility of his being happy. His background can basically be summed up as "poor white trash with negligent/abusive parents and mental illness that required medication since puberty" when he's feeling generous. His grades in school were mediocre, he had self-esteem issues for days, depression, anxiety, the kind of migraines that could cause blindness; and while he was excellent at music, he would never let anyone actually see him perform...
Of course, hindsight is 20/20. Maybe he could have at least gone to college to major in the humanities, or found love, or had a child. He's seen plenty of other worlds in Drakkon's conquests; he's not unaware that some of his other selves seemed at least content.

Repressed Accusations and Anger/Ghost in the Mirror
Someone else gets promoted to entertain Red in Lord Drakkon's absence. And gets a peek behind the pet's repressed rage...

I am so sorry Bulk and Skull fans. orz Just there’s not enough angst of these two out there and I just… ya know had to do it. Skull is just uh… taking a nap and Bulk is giving him a big hug! And that’s just ketchup on Skull’s face. Totally not the alternative… Also can y’all guess what the posing composition here is inspired by? Hint is a painting from the Realism movement during the late 1800’s! The first person to guess it gets to request a drawing idk.

Write a scene without any dialogue + World of the Coinless/Pre-Shattered Grid; Sentry Adam & Sentry Skull~
Ah, writing without dialogue. A special treat for me, indeed.
It was a little cardboard carton. It was probably all that Skull had managed to save, and to bring along, when he'd become a Red Sentry. That box had always intrigued Adam, because neither he, nor any other sentry of the entire coinless ranks had ever had a chance to peek into it.
It wasn't that nobody cared for the contents of the box, everyone was curious. But there was something about it, a strange aura of it, and the way Skull was around it, that made everyone respect his privacy, and not go snooping around. Adam imagined it was probably old picture frames, knick knacks from their school days, or maybe something a little more precious than that.
Skull was usually seen sitting with that box after an especially hard day, when things didn't feel all that right; days when Drakkon's assignments to him involved murders of innocents, or reimbursements of loans from people who had way too little money to pay back the principle amount, let alone the interest. Sentries sometimes doubled as debt recovery agents, and since the loans from Drakkon's treasury came at a forty percent interest rate, (which was also less, considering the way Drakkon's greed ran his finances, and something that was there as a reason of Finster arguing with him that nobody would take the loans if he kept it above 50%, no matter how necessary—) it was especially painful, and Skull more or less landed up with the job once in every few weeks. It was extra horrible than the others, such as manning the granaries or guarding the Bastard's royal chambers, as it involved humiliation and harassment of those who were a little too beneath them.
And Skull didn't have the heart for it.
He was especially depressed when he came back from events like this, and Adam, who was usually paired off with Skull on duties like this, saw him taking a shower— which often involved some shenanigans with Adam himself, for some stress relief— and then settling onto the bed in the railway station issue quality blankets, which barely protected any cold at all, and pull up the little cardboard box from under his bed, and turn off the lights.
One day, though, he decided to ask about it. As they settled onto their beds after a relatively less stressful day, Adam on his bunk across a narrow strip of floor from Skull's, and Skull nestled into his blankets, and turned towards Adam, a small melancholy smile on his face. Adam flashed him a big grin, and wondered if he should ask, if that were the right moment to ask such a thing. And seeing that Skull didn't look as haunted today, as he didn't even need to bring up his little box of memories, Adam raised his eyebrows, and wordlessly, pointed towards under Skull's bed. Skull looked down, his eyes following to where Adam's fingers were pointed to, and he realised what the Black Sentry meant.
Skull sat up, tossed his blankets to a side— this was definitely a good day to ask about this— and gestured for Adam to come over, to his bed.
Adam followed, still grinning at his success, and mentally telling his curiosity that it was about to be satisfied. He climbed onto Skull's bed, and sat in front of him, as Skull dragged the little box out. It had, in a terrible handwriting, with a sharpie that had stopped running by the end of it, written "Memories. DO NOT OPEN". Adam chuckled to himself, realising he, and the other sentries, was right, the box did indeed contain mementos from Skull's life.
Skull opened it, and placed it in front of Adam, as if urging him to look at it, and figure out what it contained. Adam dipped a hand in, and came up with a few... were those fairy lights? Little fairy lights, all white and golden. He wondered if Skull would ever have a room of his own, he'd put them up, like a little teenage boy's room. There were posters in there, old bands, My Chemical Romance, Green Day, Lana Del Ray, people he didn't particularly recognise.
Then he dug further, and saw a little snow globe, with a white bearded wizard trapped in it. He eyed it curiously, and Skull, understanding what he was going for, picked it up, and turned it around in his hand, watching Adam's stunned, and childlike reaction to the glitter that, now disturbed, was falling over and around the wizard like snowy magic.
Then there was a little bandana, which Adam felt like belonged to Bulk... it wasn't one that Skull regularly wore himself, it was violet with black stripes, and he felt he'd seen Bulk wearing it a little too many times when they had been in school. There were old polaroid pictures— Kimberly Hart, the Ranger Slayer had had a polaroid camera, back in the day, if he remembered correctly. There were polaroids of Skull and Bulk, and one of Skull in a ridiculous costume that made Adam chuckle slightly. Kimberly used to take pictures of everyone from her camera, and present them to them on their birthdays, it was an adorable tradition, and made for memories that people, including Skull, cherished to this date.
Then there was a little toy robot sitting in one corner of the box, and Adam picked it up. He watched Skull's eyes flick onto the robot, and a sadness filled them immediately. Adam decided it wasn't his place to touch that, and he was just about to put it back in the box, when Skull's hand stopped his, holding the robot in both of their hands, and the Red Sentry's scarred fingers gently turned it over, and under its feet, Adam saw a little sticker sticking in, that read "William Cranston". That made sense.... Billy... that robot had belonged to Billy... but what was it doing with Skull?
He placed the robot respectfully back into the box, and pulled up what looked like a little toy sword— there were two of them, plastic, about the size of his forearm. There were also various other little things, like pirate eye-patches, more bandanas (apparently, they were a thing Skull liked to collect) a bunch of ragged clothes... and a broken spectacle frame.
The spectacle frame was so small. As if it belonged to an eight year old, and it was blue... Adam couldn't imagine who it belonged to, but a part of him said it was the same child to whom the broken robot had belonged to. A part of Adam told him this was the reason why Skull looked at these things when he was sad... he had some memories he liked to relive, and yet, the way the box said 'DO NOT OPEN', there were memories that he didn't want to come to terms with, and were tucked away in the bottom of the box.
The last thing Adam noticed before closing the flaps of the box was an old, torn and forlorn photograph of two six year old boys, one with fluffy black hair, and one with blonde ones. They were both tiny, a little smaller for their ages, and the blonde one wore the exact same spectacles he'd just seen in his hands a few minutes ago. They were both dressed up as pirates, and that one photograph had the words "Skull and Bones" scribbled on it in a child's wobbly handwriting.
Adam understood everything, with that one.
He looked up at Skull, who was smiling at him, reading every expression of Adam's as he dove through Skull's treasure chest. Adam heaved a sigh, and then reached around his own neck, pulling out a little charm he always wore with himself, as a thank you, and as a 'remember me too, would ya?' and handing it to Skull, no words said, but he looked down towards the box, and implied what he had meant.
Skull smiled gratefully, and placing everything back in the box, he gently rested the charm on top of the little toy robot, and tilted his head, and laid back in bed.
That was another memory he'd like to cherish.

wearing their worn shirt to have a better sleep + Skull/dealer's choice (since I'm curious about your preference for his relationship recently due to the Billy/Zack)
@augment-techs Uh-hm. Tbh I don’t have a preference for Skull. I don’t think I ever have lol. Like I’m a multi shipper and for me this is either “I only have three hard nos but everyone else is fair game” or “so there’s like six people I love best with this person” and actually while he dated Jason in my one fic series where Billy ends up with Zack, I think I've just generally kept him single because I can't decide who he'd be with his entire life. In my head he’s dated a lot of people…but I’ll be honest for me he feels like he’s the single dad that fucks. Doesn’t have a life partner.
It’s been easier for me having a hard pairing pre-chosen with him in asks or a hard idea already formed, because choosing for each fic myself straight up would be needing a randomizer lol. I HAVE used a randomizer and I’ll have to do it again as long as I write him lol XD I’ll write him with Billy, Billy’s as fine as anyone else and he's good with Billy. I like him best when they’re both adults or with Matt, in that regard. My one hard no is Candace/Zelya now. But Bulk, Tommy, Kim, Kat, Jason, Trini, Andros, Cestro, Rito, Goldar…honestly I could see him with pretty much everyone his age or, when older, just anyone he interacts with.
Literally every single person I have ever read Eugene Skullovitch with I’ve gone “makes sense to me!” He’s my wild card character. Anyone fits.
But I can definitely whip something up with someone lol.
World of the Coinless Eugene and Leanbow, but not as anything romantic :)

Write for 15 minutes without deleting anything
Tumblr media
This part is short because I kind of...extended it. Sorry to @ajgrey9647 for using graft cut; but I can't mix these on here very well ^^;
Aside from the black eye, fractured cheekbone, bruises from his back hitting a decrepit telephone pole that had somehow survived twenty years in desolation, and a thumbnail lost when he went through a boarded up storefront window, Skull was reasonably pleased that he had managed to get Jason back to the palace without much fuss. And also that he'd gotten back to the Grove only just before a massive thunderstorm, with horrendous amounts of rain that they all knew-knew-knew was going to cause flooding after it being dry and barren for so long. They'd still gotten wet and Skull had only just remembered to stay away from metal standing buildings and rubble, but carrying Jason unconscious in a princess carry meant the unconscious fellow probably wasn't going to catch a cold.
Would have been better if he hadn't needed to use acupuncture points in Jason's legs to temporarily paralyze him, but trying to talk him through his onset of PTSD after being told Drakkon was back and requesting help didn't seem to be working. Like, even a little bit. It was scary how Jason could go from zero to a hundred at even the first hint of being told he'd have to see the man again. Painful too; the man had certainly been getting into shape more since he'd left. Kim, at least, look marginally more apologetic about Skull's condition than Jason's when they arrived back; what with the former Red Ranger having passed out from hyperventilating so he looked almost peaceful (thankfully he'd shaved that atrocious beard since he'd last been in Angel Grove) and Skull having to treat his own injuries since there was no fucking way that he was going to see Finster-5. Would have been nice to have a moment of peace before Drakkon meandered into the room to coo at the occupants and their states of being--especially Jason, the look in his eyes when he saw the man getting wiped down while unconscious was ghastly--but Skull was pleased to note that Kim still had excellent aim; even if it was with a teacup and she couldn't feel that good about it hitting his face due to Drakkon basically having fallen back to something more like a human from yet another Power anomaly and the girl he brought with him, Kiya, practically smiting him with every bit of lightning she could after he got her out of her prison sentence. "Can you not be a Creeper for more than five minutes, asshole?" "History proves that I probably can't Kimmy, no," Drakkon smiled through the spatter of tea running down the unpleasant looking scars along the side of his face. He even added to his being gross by wiping at the tea with his hand and then licking it off, "Hm. Second-hand kisses."

Nonsexual acts of Intimacy:
Quad Life Poly + Holding hands
Off the cuff drabbles (for the most part they are drabbles. I had to contain myself)
Tender Touches (A Series of Drabbles)
Drakkon/Red/Tommy Oliver/Jason Scott:
The first time it happened, it was perfunctory, a necessity to ensure that they all were teleported safely from Zedd’s lunar palace. The second time, or maybe it was an extension of the first, was instinctive, subconscious, and the source of much embarrassment when they’d finally shaken the fog of extreme mental and physical overload.
On the hotel room’s standard queen-sized bed, it was a rather tight fit, but somehow, without being aware of what they were doing, the four made it work.
In the middle, Jason and Red cuddled closely together, fingers entwined, and the former pet’s forehead, crusted with dried blood, pressed against his younger counterpart’s. The Omega’s thigh rested between the older man’s legs, the warmth of the embrace soothing his muzzy, confused mind as the sedative continued to circulate in his blood and make his muscles feel overwhelmingly heavy.
At their backs, the dominants protectively curled at the submissives’ backs, Drakkon and Tommy firmly gripping the other’s hand while their thighs were slung over their partners’ hips, the combative pairs’ ankles even crossing in a way that was almost dainty. Each had an ass cheek that hung precariously over the precipice and were covered with only a tiny corner of the floral duvet.
They huddled tightly like naked, pink, baby birds in the too-small bed and slept nearly 24 hours before waking to the shock of their lives.
Tommy/Red:
Jason and Tommy returned to the hotel room that day, weeks after their initial discovery and the ordeal in Zedd’s palace, the subject of sex an unspoken item on the weekend’s itinerary, and the White Ranger’s heart was at war with his cock. As the Omega drove to the lakeside town, he could only stare thoughtfully at the lovely rose he held clutched in his clammy hand, its velvety, scarlet petals outlined with in ebony.
Drakkon and Jason decided to forego subtlety, each too eager to play to waste time on any misgivings or second thoughts. The younger man tore the tyrant’s shirt off seconds before his back was slammed against the wallpapered hotel wall, the resultant thud easily heard downstairs by the front desk ‘clerk’.
Red and Tommy sat awkwardly on the edge of the mattress, their thighs not evening touching as the White Ranger thrust the rose at the older man, who blushed as he marveled at the flower’s beauty.
The two highly hormonal men writhed against each other, moaning loudly and muttering harsh obscenities while Tommy looked on owlishly.
“Looks like fun,” Red whispered playfully against his ear, making him jump. “How do you want me, White Ranger? On my knees? Or my back? Maybe upside down?”
Now it was the younger man’s turn to blush.
“Uh, actually…I thought maybe we could…you know…” he stammered. “Go out?”
Tommy saw confusion creased Red’s face and, though he felt stupid and perhaps ungrateful, he mumbled the conflicting feelings at war in his heart. He couldn’t escape the feeling that it was wrong to just use the former pet’s body for pleasure, like he wasn’t an equal…still an animal without thoughts and emotions and desires.
“You wish to woo me, Tommy?” Red grinned, pleasantly amused by the White Ranger’s adorable, flustered gesturing and stuttering.
“I want it to be the right way the first time… Not like what happened ‘over there’.”
At that moment, Drakkon and Jason tumbled onto the bed, nearly landing on the other two men as they twisted together like fornicating rattlesnakes. The tyrant couldn’t help but overhear his weaker counterpart utter the underhanded jab.
Slipping his tongue from the Omega’s mouth, he jerked his head back to give Jason a faux glare.
“And you? Do you require wining and dining before I rail you?”
“I require that you fuck me until I can’t walk straight!” the dark-haired man growled throatily.
Giving the other two a pointed look, Drakkon hissed like an agitated feline.
“If you aren’t going to wrestle, then get out of the arena!”
Red rolled his eyes dramatically before sliding his hand into Tommy’s and pulling him up from the bed. They remained hand-in-hand as they walked out the front entrance, raising the ‘clerk’s’ brow while he discretely signaled his handler.
Drakkon/Tommy:
In the beginning, Drakkon would have proclaimed it’d be a cold day in hell before he’d willingly behave in a such a manner with his combative Prime Counterpart. Sure, they’d high-five or bump fists while fucking their submissives, but there wasn’t exactly any physical display of affection between the two.
“Isn’t it enough that I no long wish to kill the little shit?” the tyrant lamented to the group. “I feel…protective…over him, but I really don’t know what else you want from me?”
Tommy wasn’t the least bit offended, feeling much the same way. It wasn’t necessary for he and Drakkon to be all lovey-dovey for this to work. Being able to be in the same room and not tear the other’s head from their shoulders was a vast improvement in itself. They might swear or insult one another or engage in petty antics designed to cause aggravation. But there was no exchange of blows or snatching of weapons.
Then the incident happened…
It was embarrassing. It was dumb as all fuck. And something that Drakkon would have teased him about until the end of time Tommy was certain.
Jason was out that afternoon and the White Ranger was feeling especially frisky. The tyrant had been needling him for the past couple days about not being on his ‘level’ in terms of erotic kink, despite them being the same fucking person.
With those insults in mind, Tommy had propositioned Red, begging the older man to introduce him to something ‘different’, something that he could hold over the motherfucker’s head. He wanted to know if maybe there was something that even Drakkon was too much of a pussy to try…
Red had warned him it wasn’t a good idea…almost pleaded with him to just let it go. But no, Tommy insisted.
While he’d bottomed on occasion for Jason, it wasn’t his usual position. With Drakkon being such a control-freak and having trust issues, taking something in the ass wasn’t his forte…
Begrudgingly, the former pet had pulled out the small, metallic balls, the soft clink as they struck one another almost ominous. Getting them in took a little work…
It was getting them out that they ran into a problem.
Drakkon heard the commotion as he sat on the couch, amusing himself with trashy reality TV shows and keeping an ear perked pervertedly towards the bedroom. He hadn’t missed the clack of the exotic balls and knew as well as Red did that the whole thing was going to come back to bite the White Ranger in the ass.
And so it eventuated that Tommy curled upon the mattress, his clenched bare cheeks in the air while Red perched behind him, also stark naked, his lubed finger probing delicately at the offended hole. Though he had initially laughed, braying like a fucking donkey, at the little shit’s predicament, Drakkon ended up holding Tommy’s hand throughout the ordeal.
“If you relax a little more, it’d really help,” Red grunted, trying to work his way in to hook the truant ball. “I’m sure I can get it if you just work with me.”
He pressed forward but to his surprise, it was Drakkon that shrieked in pain.
“GODDAMMIT! FUCKING HELL, THOMAS! RANGER STRENGTH!”
The bones in his hand cracked alarmingly in Tommy’s grasp as the White Ranger squeezed for all he was worth, shimmying his ass forward and away from Red.
“Shit, dude! Sorry! My bad!”
“Bullshit!”
Drakkon cradled his purplish fingers and glared at the punk.
“How about I give it a go?” he hissed.
Red/Jason:
It was a long time coming, a conversation that needed to be had. The two almost mirror images sat before one another, Red seemingly afraid to even look at Jason’s face. The Omega tenderly reached out, taking his doppelganger’s hand in his own.
“There’s nothing for you to be sorry for, Red. What you did was because you were sick… If anything, I should be apologizing to you,” he whispered firmly. “And thanking you for what you did for me…both of me…”
And Various Friends…
Red/Eugene:
It was early morning, the sun just starting to crest over the horizon as it cast vivid orange and pink rays across the glittering waves of the lake. The air was slightly chilly, the breeze coaxing a vulnerable pimpling of gooseflesh over Eugene’s bare upper arms, the delicate pale skin of his shoulders and back also exposed while he posed knee deep in the cold water. Ethereal, wispy tulle fanned out about his legs, floating like fairy wings. Deeply scarlet roses circled him, their velvety petals sparkling with water droplets.
Demurely, Eugene clutched the hem of the unbuttoned bodice to his chest while he faced away from the camera, the neckline and sleeves tracing a path over his crooked elbows and collarbone. Highlighted this way, he resembled an otherworldly sprite, a fae of the lake returning from the human realm.
“Perfect!” Red complimented. “Hold that pose for me, Eugene…”
He could hear the shutter and click of the camera as the gray-haired man knelt on one knee to capture just the right angle.
“Got it,” the amateur photographer commented, sliding a finger over the screen to play back the images. “These are going to look amazing…”
Red moved closer, wadding out into the water himself for a close up. Eugene had a sensual slope to his shoulders, the blades bony and pronounced under his white skin. He was fortunate that most of his scars were more easily hidden than the former pet’s.
“Shit, this water’s freezing. Are you ok to do a few more or do you want to use what we have?”
Glancing back at his old friend, the lanky man grinned.
“In for a penny, out for a pound, buddy. I’ve got a few more in me at least.”
Red grinned, tapping his chin as he considered other poses that might show off the angular lines, fair flesh, and the beauty of the vintage gown floating in the waves.
“Hmmm… If you think you can tolerate it, walk out a bit further so we can get more of the dress to lift around you.”
As Eugene walked out until the waves lapped at his waist, Red followed, carefully pushing his roses in the other’s wake. These pre-wedding photos were going to be the best they’d done, and he couldn’t wait to see Billy and Matthew’s faces when they received them.
The lush gown fanned out as he’d hoped and Red snapped several more shots as the sun rose higher in the sky.
“You know, Eugene, with the way the light’s reflecting off the water, it looks like the lake’s on fire. I’m thinking black and white but with vibrant color accents…like maybe if you turn around and I get the lower part of your face. That red lipstick should be illegal to wear.”
Skull turned to look over his shoulder at Red, his cheeks pink with the warm blush and his eyes fringed in long midnight lashes.
“I like the way you think, partner!” he teased with a wink.
All in all, it was one of the most inspiring scenes Red had shot. The fact it was for Matthew, Eugene, and Billy’s wedding made it all the better.
When it was time to make the cumbersome trek back to the silty shore, the long trailing material of the dress made the fight against the water even harder now that it was fully saturated. For a frightening moment, Eugene had stumbled, losing his balance on his shivering legs, the muscles overworked and growing numb. Inadvertently, he grabbed hold of Red’s shoulders, falling into his chest and nearly taking them both under.
“Easy does it! I’ve got you, Eugene!”
The former pet gently righted him with an amused twinkle in his eye.
“Allow me to offer my assistance to the blushing bride,” he teased, holding out an elbow.
For a moment, Skull hesitated, the reaction a knee-jerk response to the one-time over-arching rule of Lord Drakkon.
DO NOT TOUCH RED…
Then the moment passed, and he looped his arm through his dear friend’s, their fingers entwining like out of an old-fashioned novel.
“Can’t say I ever thought I’d be escorting a bride on my arm,” Red snickered as they sloshed onward.
Drakkon/Eugene
“What the absolute fuck are you asking me?” Drakkon choked out, sure he’d misheard the whole conversation as they sat eating lunch at the picnic table on the deck of the cabin. “Are you running a fever perhaps? Or smacked your head off something?”
Eugene sighed.
“Look, I never ever in the history of ever thought I’d be asking this of you, of all people. But you’re the only one left to do it. Red will be taking pictures, Jason is doing the music, and Tommy is the one officiating or whatever you want to call it… Do you want to actually do something nice for me for a change?”
Rolling his eyes, the tyrant huffed.
“Of course, you’d bring all that up again…”
“Yes, of course…” Skull smiled sweetly. “So you in or out?”
Over the course of their reunion, the Coinless orphans had settled into an easy type of friendship. It hadn’t been without tension or awkwardness or scathing comments and accusations, but it had reached a semblance of camaraderie in their shared history. The two groups eventually fell into a routine, celebrating some holidays together as Drakkon, Red, and Eugene couldn’t exactly be seen by their partners’ families without a lot of raised eyebrows, questions, and possible smelling salts being involved. No one wanted to tackled all the discussion of alternate time lines, universes, Power Rangers, etc, not they were really allowed to do so anyway.
Of course, they made their own traditions over time, creating their own little niche in the world.
As Drakkon escorted the vailed Eugene down the crimson runner to where Matt and Billy stood, he felt the bride give him a glance through the lacy material.
Eugene was surprised to see the genuine emotion in the tyrant’s eyes…something that wasn’t rage, wrath, disgust, or contempt. He looked like how ‘Tommy Oliver’ might have if he’d made better choices…
Giving Drakkon’s hand a squeeze, the former Sentry Captain gave a sassy grin.
“Ever think you’d get to play ‘father of the bride’?”
Settling an expression of haughty unbotheredness, the asshole clucked his tongue.
“I doubt I’d have spawned a more lovely daughter than you, Eugene…”
Red/Matthew:
Matthew was the one who’d found him… Drakkon and Tommy had departed on their ritualized weekend grocery store runs and Jason had left to spend some quality time with his parents who’d been dropping hints that they missed him, didn’t see him all that much anymore. Billy and Eugene were still entwined amongst the silk sheets of their bed, indulging in the afterglow of some morning delight.
While they’d still kept their farmhouse-style dwelling on the outskirts of Angel Grove, the group couldn’t pass up the extravagant ‘gift’ Drakkon had bestowed upon them. Holding out the keys to the cabin that was situated next to their own, he’d enumerated the benefits of living close to one another before blithely offering up the lame excuse that was slightly closer to the truth.
“I don’t need some nosey ass motherfuckers moving in over there and gawking at us… At least you know why we all resemble each other…”
Matthew went for a jog that morning to work out the stiffness that came with spending a lot of time in bed, but not because he was sleeping… As a young newlywed, sore muscles and fatigue went with the territory. Plus going for a run gave him a good excuse to come back shirtless, sweaty, and glowing with endorphins…
The first time, he’d went down the road, Matt had seen Red in the backyard, getting ready to start his static workout and poses on the two metal beams that were erected for his preferred workout. However, as he came back a second time, he’d noticed the gray-haired man wasn’t there…or so he thought…
Slowing his strides, the Green Ranger had a bad feeling gnawing at his gut. He cut through the yard, rounding the corner of the cabin to find Red sprawled on the ground, unconscious. The overhead beams still glistened with morning dew, making them deceptively slick.
“Oh shit! Red! Hey, buddy, you alright?” Matt yelled, racing to the older man’s side.
The former pet didn’t respond to the shouts.
The jock quickly pulled his phone from the pocket of his gym shorts, his other hand finding its way into Red’s as he started to call for help, not caring at the possible problems that could arise. From the cabin on the opposite side of road, the warm motherly neighbor lady came running… Jane.
“Matt? What’s going on? What happened to Jamie?” she panted, referring to Red by his public persona.
“I dunno… He fell, I think…”
A grumbled grunt and the man in question began to stir.
“Jamie? Oh, thank goodness!” Jane started even as he started to shake his head to clear it.
“Jamie,” he whispered, rolling over to look at the brightening blue spring sky. “Yes, that’s right. I’m Jamie…”
Red/Jane:
He loved having a painting partner. Sure, Drakkon would gamely pick up a brush, but his forte was pencil or charcoal. The tyrant preferred to create still images not ‘make believe shit’ like Red.
“No offense, darling.”
When the kindly plump camp store clerk moved in across the street, not long after they themselves had settled in, he’d been curious about her. Jane had a calming aura about her that Red found soothing. Unlike with most other people, his brain didn’t lock up quite so bad around her, and when it did, she patiently waited it out.
Being brave, he’d decided to pursue a new friendship.
Red and Jane often met on her front porch, the posts decorated with full trellises of flowers that the gray-haired man appreciated. Propping up their easels, Jane and ‘Jamie” painted side by side, sometimes quietly, sometimes engaged in thoughtful conversation. Her questions weren’t probing or uncomfortable, but they did make Red think.
For a mere camp store clerk, she seemed rather well versed in mental health, almost on a par with Drakkon. But then he dismissed those considerations; there was no way Jane knew the truth about him…
She became a defacto mother figure to the motherless, psychically splintered man. Something about her comforted the part of his mind that might have been the Coinless Jason Scott.
So, when Jane held Jamie’s hand that evening before he departed for home, he’d looked at her with something like love in his eyes… her hand warm in his own as she squeezed it with genuine compassion.

Send me a song lyric and I’ll make a fake wip summary for it!: World of the Coinless Skull + Call me what you like, I’ve been as kind as I can be; Set off the alarms and bring the sky down upon me. You’d think this was the ending; we both have come so far It’ll break your heart how very much alike we are... -Not the Villain, by S.J. Tucker.
@augment-techs Huh. How’d you know this has been my favorite song of hers since I was like nineteen lol. (I have several of her songs on my phone, and while I can’t call Tam Lin my trans awakening it certainly did make me go ‘huh’ and re-evaluate some things lol). This one though, it’s such a Mood. Thank you for handing me a favorite character and a favorite song~ I’ve been saving this one for when I have a very clear idea so here we go~

Fic Name: Orange Is NOT My Color
Rating: T
Media: MMPR, Boom!Comics Power Rangers
Summary:
Logically Eugene knew he had alternate reality counterparts. Logically he was aware they existed and may or may not be rangers, or any variety of other things. Logically he was aware of this.
It still surprised him when he was knocked on his ass doing a routine sweep of another reality for Drakkon with Ranger Slayer. And it surprised him more when he realized it was by an orange Ranger with a devastatingly familiar voice. A middle aged Skull Skullovitch in a lurid orange suit taunting the Sentries until his capture. Eugene can’t help but keep visiting, though never daring to take off his own helmet. Orange feels familiar and Eugene feels intense jealousy. And Skull well….
It’s not even looking at a bad reflection. This is just him in a color he doesn’t want to relate to. Which bothers Eugene more than he wants to admit, and sends him into a spiral he’s not proud of. It’s starting to get to the point he’s not sure if he’s more like Skull….
Or Drakkon

Drakkon: I have been a mixed martial arts champion. A warrior that defeated the Power Rangers. An heir to Rita Repulsa. A usurper that ruled our world with an iron fist. A prisoner. A vagabond. A last hope. Tell me one thing that I cannot do or be!
Sentry/Coinless Skull: A straight guy.
Ranger Slayer: *buckles down on her knees laughing* Coinless Jason: Ewwwwww.
Drakkon: …Okay, true.

going out to buy their favourite snacks + Matt/Billy
No one was sure how long Eugene had been living on the streets after his arrival in the Prime Universe as he himself hadn’t experienced time functioning as it should for…what? Was it years? Decades, maybe? It was difficult to express in terms that Matt and Billy might appreciate. Scientifically, the Blue Ranger understood what Skull was referring to when he mentioned things like ‘thirteen o’clock’ or ‘skips’, ‘jumps’, and ‘retreats’.
It was cold when the former Sentry captain found himself waking up face down in a pile of wet, curled up, fallen leaves beside a large, rusted piece of old farm machinery he thought he recognized from someplace long ago. After the roiling bouts of nausea and vomiting subsided, the lanky man pulled himself to his unsteady legs and struggled to make sense of exactly what the hell had happened.
Eugene was alone.
Errant white flakes of snow wafted from the clouds intermittently, catching in his salt and pepper mane, the chill to the wind freezing the hair in his nostrils as he breathed. The weather was always a temperamental bitch in the Coinless realm so it wasn’t that he had experienced frigidly dropping temperatures…
But this time, he was out on his ass, with no food, no shelter, no change of clothes… No band of raucous Coinless rebels or even the begrudging warmth and resources of the Sentry barracks.
He hitchhiked into town, a rather daring and informative feat as he hadn’t ridden in a car, let alone seen one, in ages. The driver attempted small talk with this weird, oddly dressed man but gave up when all he got in response were simple one-word answers. Dropping off the stranger on the cracked, cement sidewalk in front of a run-down burger joint, they’d hastily shoved a handful of small bills out the window.
“You need to eat, man…”
Skull lived like an ally cat, staking out dumpsters outside restaurants and grocery stores, rummaging through other people’s cast-offs, giving ‘favors’ in exchange for what he needed. After all he’d been through prior, it was relatively easy to shut his brain off, perform whatever task or activity was requested, and move on with his life.
Finding him hunting through a trash receptacle outside a big-box shopping center, Matt and Billy had brought the sickly man to the Green Ranger’s apartment off-campus. His roommate was frequently out with his own friend group so there was no worry about raised brows or questions. The blonde genius resided on location at Promethea and Eugene visibly shrank away at the suggestion of seeing Grace Sterling.
“He’s nothing but skin and bones,” Matthew whispered, gazing through the open bedroom door to where the Coinless orphan curled upon his bed following a hot shower and change of clothing.
He’d picked up any garment that was an emerald hue with his fingertips as if disgusted, tossing them aside like they were swimming with decay. Finally, Skull settled on a pair of black sweats and a tie-dyed shirt that Matt made with some youngsters as part of his community outreach project. The clothing draped over his frame like a tent and he nearly lost the pants when he walked.
Eugene’s soft, steady breathing was barely audible, the rise and fall of his chest obscured with all the fabric.
“Proper nutrition was scarce in the Coinless universe, love,” Billy offered, lowering his eyes sadly. “They’d fight over scraps like a pack of dogs. It wasn’t much better being a Sentry from what I learned when Eugene and I talked the last time we met.”
The Green Ranger chewed his lip, studying the pitiful man, who was the older doppelganger of someone who’d been a sassy pain in his ass while they were in high school together. His partner had mentioned some of the things he knew about this other universe, once he’d opened up somewhat after they’d been together for a few months.
Billy had nightmares about what had transpired over there even to this day, though they had lessened in severity and frequency.
‘And Skull lived in that hellhole…’
If the trauma of just visiting had scarred the Blue Ranger this badly, then he couldn’t imagine trying to survive day to day there.
Just from the looks of the man’s frame and his sallow complexion, Matthew knew he was in desperate need of nourishment. And of experiencing something that was actually pleasant…
The expression on the blonde’s face as he too gazed in at Eugene’s slumbering form indicated he would also benefit from a little ‘pick me up’.
“Hey, can you watch him for a bit, sweetie? I think we all need something warm in our bellies and right now, my kitchen is a little on the skimpy side.”
Matthew wandered the aisles of the supermarket, pushing along a rickety metal cart who’s wheels wobbled in opposite directions at times. Once he’d started shopping for ingredients to cook up a filling, hot dinner for the trio, he found there were more things that caught his eye.
‘Our Skull always loved that marshmallow cereal. He snacked on a bag he kept hidden in his jacket pocket during first period…’ he exclaimed, his hand already reaching for a box.
And…
‘He used to go on and on about Tony’s Triple Cheese Pizza squares…’
Into the basket it went.
Eugene’s dramatic displays whenever anyone brought in birthday cupcakes or ice cream crept into Matt’s mind and a detour to the bakery was made. The woman working behind the counter stared at him like he was addled as the green clad man scooped up boxes of chocolate eclairs, donuts, cupcakes, cheesecake, and chocolate chip muffins.
Soon his cart threatened to overflow and if he needed to stop in a hurry, he was just shit out of luck. What started as a trip to make one quick meal had blossomed into a shopping spree of foodstuffs that his tiny kitchen couldn’t possibly accommodate.
Billy hadn’t made any requests and yet Matt had pitched in goodies that his partner craved as well. He was envisioning a long weekend in, if the Blue Ranger could swing it with Promethea. Eugene needed swaddled in a cocoon of comfort. There was a weird affection he had for this stranger who wasn’t a stranger… An invisible tugging that he couldn’t explain.
But explanations were not necessary right now… Ensuring the two men waiting on him were cared for was and it was a mantle Matthew decided to don himself.
“Good thing I brought my credit card,” he mused, hefting the items to the checkout conveyor belt.

Eugene Skullovitch canon and non canon kids
-stares at his sheer List of close friendships, implied romances, romances, and everything in between- I think Skull vies with Tommy for sheer amounts. Tommy or Billy, but definitely up there. At the very least I can say this is because he’s a reoccurring character over several seasons and movies and not because they were trying to force a hetero romance so nobody noticed the actor was gay. Skull’s naturally flirtatious demeanor and huge presence in the show is certainly to blame for this. So. I’m more than likely missing some, but -shrugs- I am doing My Best lol.
Canon kids:
Unknown mother;
Spike Skullovitch. Like Minh the other parent isn’t known or needed, so Spike never got her named. It’s led to a lot of ideas of who the mom is, au’s where he’s a putty hybrid, and just a whole lot of fun. But let’s focus on canon. Spike is the teenaged son of a now very famous and very rich Eugene Skullovitch. He spent the summer with his “uncle” Bulk. He’s got a massive crush on Mia and he wants to be a samurai and he’s always eager to help the power rangers. And can I just say I love this guy? He’s a cinnamon role. He’s a sweetie. He’s a baby doll and must be protected at all costs. He’s the sweetest of the confirmed canon kids we know of so far (I AM looking at Coinless!Adam’s unnamed son, yes I am. Child I wish we’d seen you before you died. I’d love to know your name) unfortunately the descendants don’t seem to get a lot of personality as a general rule, and even Spike’s a little light on personality. He’s got enough to make him stand out from his dad. But, I can’t help but adore him lol. Sir who are you and who’s your mom? Second bit doesn’t matter but I’d love to know you better.
Non canon oc and alternate reality kids and grandkids:
for the sake of not wanting to sound repetitive, not every universe will have Spike, just ones that make sense/would be interesting for him.
Kimberly Hart;
Stormy Hart, aged seventeen. Her parents are separated. Despite the rocky start with Eugene being Kim’s rebound, they got together again after the Candace Incident. Kim progressed on Eugene’s terms, and they had a kiddo right as they were applying for colleges. It was a bit difficult and they made it work, but when Stormy was seven they finally had to separate, though they’re not on bad terms. Stormy is Spike’s half sister, and has her own band. Has anxiety and depression. Doesn’t spend time with brother or Bulk, at least as much as she should. Mostly for her appearance. Got extremely jealous of Spike over the power rangers thing though! She generally lives with her mom, not her dad, hence why she doesn’t spend time with Spike. She loves her goofy half brother but she’s at the age where her image is important to her. She doesn’t have any colors associated with her.
Katherine Hillard;
I thought his mild attempts at flirting were cute. They got together after Turbo’s movie. Kat realized she was never going to replace Kim for Tommy, and broke up with him. She got with Skull after a few months and some very creative ways to ask her out. They have two sons. The oldest is Squire Hillard. Aged 17. He’s average height and kind of a brilliant himbo. He lets his reputation cover him like a mask, but he’s pretty devious when he’s properly motivated. A little bit of a tail chaser. He keeps striking out, but that never stopped him. While he is a power ranger (pink), he’s having fun running a podcast questioning who the power rangers are. This cover is so good not even Kat’s figured out he’s pink turbo ranger. Looks like a surfer bro. Prefers it that way. Half brother of Spike Skullovitch. Has had to save his half brother three times so far. Barely gets along with his dad, county Sheriff Eugene Skullovitch, but they’re trying. He’s closer to Kat and like her is a professional diver. He wants to get into the Olympics. His general outfit could best be described as “someone from the peppermint forest in candyland decided to become a pirate”. He actually has a rap sheet. He’s got middle child syndrome and you can usually find him with his friends, the other Turbo rangers, or with Bulk, or egging grandmas house with Devon. He’s giving Eugene a bald spot is what he’s doing. Spike does his best, but they really don’t see eye to eye. Squire likes his big brother, there’s just a bit of frustration with him.
Devon Skullovitch, aged eleven. Unlike Squire he’s not blond and looks more like Eugene and Spike. Bulk calls him the baby buddy, and it annoys him so so much. Loves video games and fixing cars. Can eat his weight in lasagna. Not associated with any color. Knows his brother is up to something, unsure what. Often getting babysit by half brother. Is known to egg his grandmothers house. A lot. It’s a problem.
Billy Cranston;
After being best friends as kids, then not, then sort of friends, then maybe more...they have two kids. Charlie Cranston, aged twenty two, and Oscar "Skid" Cranston, aged twenty. Charlie and Oscar are both via a science experiment, where Billy combined his and Eugene's genetic codes in a randomizer, to see if anything would happen that was viable as a sperm and egg equivalent. Yes, he got permission for this from Eugene. He sold the patent, and lives happily with his and Eugene's kids. Charlie is a blue solar ranger. She has been since she was seventeen. Billy didn't know at first and when he found out....he grounded her for not telling him. Then came back thirty minutes later, apologized, ungrounded her, and told her to be careful. Eugene doesn't get it as much but he's trying, he really is. He worries more than Billy, though Billy does often find himself staring up at the stars on late nights with tea in his hand, knots in his stomach and hoping he sees his daughter for Christmas. It's different, somehow, when they're in space and not in town.
Oscar is friends with a Bulkmeier, of course. He's the family "problem child", in a general sense. The prankster, and he's super smart. He is mild enough nobody really thinks he's as smartass and clever as he is. His entire motivation is cause as much chaos as possible. He used to prank his sister once a month until she left, and he's the one who let slip she's a power ranger because she was thrown through a building in front of him. She didn't know he knew, and he's been apologizing since via no more pranks, and gifts. so many gifts. Her favorite foods, updates on her favorite bands, jewelry she'd like. He doesn't have to but he feels bad. This was the closest they ever got to the family splintering. Trini, Zack, and Jason do their best to help the three deal with Charlie in space. Oscar works as a janitor, isn't really interested in dealing with school or anything. He likes doing his hobbies while having a stable job.
variation; they get together when he helps Skull with his newborn son. Spike takes care of his little siblings, and helped Oscar get his nickname and his current job. Billy is eternally caring to his adopted kid, and does the best he can by Spike.
variation 2; Charlie becomes Charlie from A Team. This time, Billy DOES ground her. she never hears the end of it
Farkas Bulkmeier;
Absolutely nobody was surprised when they got together. Eugene became a teen dad and Bulk didn't even think twice. He could fit boyfriend in one arm and baby in the other and he often did in the early days when sleeping with the two. For comfort and sense of protection. Skull was his best friend, and everything he'd ever want in a partner. They didn't bother with a ceremonial wedding, it was just going to get the paperwork signed and then having a big party celebrating with their friends. They have Spike, of course, and adopted one more. Between Spike and Amy, they're good. Sharkie offered to be a surrogate, and Billy offered a way to mix their genetics, but after a long talk with each other and them, it was just Spike and Amy.
Amy and Spike are the same age, with a four month difference. Spike's more emotionally mature than his sister, but Amy's more cunning and less naive than Spike. Currently both eighteen. She's jaded in a lot of ways and makes sure her brother doesn't have to be. Spike has had to ask her not to threaten any partners he might get with, because he can handle himself. She's had to occassionaly ask this goes both ways. Amy is considering being a mechanic, or a roadie for Skull or Spike. She likes feeling useful, she likes puzzles and chess and general challenges. Cannot cook to save her life, but she's a whiz at baking. She's better at math than anyone else in her family. But english is the bane of her existence. Is not associated with a color.
Tommy Oliver;
Tommy invited Skull to a carnival. After first being asked if Skull was a rebound-with a fast follow up to make sure Tommy wasn't taking him to something run entirely by putties-and then asking if he was sure sure Goldar and Skorpina wouldn't be there-Tommy decided he was going to make this a date. and the best one of Skull's life. The effort to help this guy have a proper, healthy, fair love life, meant it more or less accidentally lead to falling in love and while not marriage, they do live together. They have Spike, an adopted daughter Eliza, and a son together named Hunter. Rita thought it'd "bury the hatchet" and had the forethought to let them know she'd decided her first act of being nice would be something that would benefit them. Has not in fact, buried any negative feelings but the effort did mean something. Tommy's straight up told all three of his kids they're not allowed to go to Briarwood. Just in case.
Eliza "Lizzie" Oliver is 21, and wants to be a reporter. Thinks Tommy's worries are a little extreme when they directly affect his kids' lives, but she humors him even as an adult, because she loves him and wants to see him happy. A little selfish, but very smart. Good at picking up on subtext and helps explain things that go over her brothers' heads when she's with them. Tommy's too because he might be smart, but the man is kinda dumb. Not very organized, but somehow always has what she needs in her giant purse. Very resourceful, knows how to pick locks, and is capable of two types of martial arts.
Hunter Oliver-Skullovitch is 16. He's just trying to get through highschool guys, please let him get through highschool. He's been kidnapped twice, and he really just wants to be left alone. More of a punk than Tommy gets, but Tommy and Skull are supportive of his tastes and choices in life. Unfortunately everybody wants a piece of this kid, and while he's not associated with any color (by sheer force of will), this is not from lack of attempts. Hunter's just very very good at making himself too much of a nuisance to be worth taking. Like his siblings he knows two types of martial arts, can pick locks, knows how to get into vents, knows four ways to get out of ropes and other bindings, and can say "help me I've been kidnapped" in twelve languages. as well as "fire!" and "that's not a human!". He loves monster movies, because the monsters actually seem to pose a challenge. He and Tommy do have an understanding, and Tommy and Skull are both happy to let Hunter have a choice in becoming a ranger. He won't get forced into it, if he does he will do this fully with his eyes open and knowing what he's getting into. He will become a black ranger, when he's around 20, and it will be his choice.
Jason Lee Scott;
They were paired up for a school assignment a little after Tommy was reformed and saved from Rita. It was annoying, especially with Skull being so cagey and Bulk straight up threatening him if he went to the Skullovitch residence or business. When Jason dared, he realized why. And had to get saved from Mrs Skullovitch flirting with him. Which earned Skull a lot of verbal abuse as he pulled Jason far away from the house.
While he found our later she was drunk and had mistaken him for someone older, it was still rather panic inducing. Also embarrassing for the Skullovitch brothers and Bulk. He had to stop Stan apologizing on behalf of her, and understood Bulk’s anger. Jason felt the need to make it up to Skull, and they went from antagonizing each other to friends to semi-secretly dating each other. Everyone knew except Skull’s family. Jason didn’t even know what made him angrier; the fact Skull felt he had to protect Jason, or the fact that he lived in Tommy’s house whenever Tommy’s parents didn’t live there, and Skull’s parents didn’t seem to notice. They have one adopted daughter. Skull’s a guidance counselor at their old high school, and Jason is a karate instructor. Rebecca Scott is actually Stan’s, but Stan died and his girlfriend died in a car crash caused by monster activity, and the newborn was the only survivor. Eugene would have adopted her with or without Jason there. Luckily Jason was there, and Jason fell in instalove with the baby. She was very small and he loved her.
Jason and Skull got married to make it easier for Jason to formally adopt Rebecca, in case something happened and because everyone felt distancing her and Skull from the Skullovitch legacy was the best idea, and this could be accomplished by taking Jason's last name. He was only too happy to do this. He was disinherited by his dad, but it doesn't matter. The guy lost out on getting to know a great kid. Rebecca’s blind from the car accident, and has a dog and a cane to help her around. She’s 15, and nothing stops her. She’s got a lot of caution, but very little outright fear. The power rangers will protect the civilians, and her skills and disability aids help keep her safe as well. She loves to read, and has read every braille book in the library twice. She’s aware her dads are power rangers, and most of her extended family. They’re not going to let anything happen to her. And she’s going to make sure nothing happens to them. Rebecca is opinionated with a very strong sense of right and wrong. She’s actually rather blunt, but tries to be nice about it. She knows her mind and she knows how to direct people, but she hates being in a confrontation. Not associated with a color, but it’d probably be red or bronze if she were.
Trini Kwan;
He kept asking her out until she agreed to go out with him. And actually had a nice time. So she humored him again, and again, it was nice. They weren't seeing seeing each other though, and both of them had their kids around the same time. Skull had Spike, and Trini had Minh, and they liked each other fine and loved each other's kids. They had one more, together. August Kwan. He's thirteen, and a complete introverted social butterfly. He loves showing off and gushing about his interests but he hates dealing with too many people for too long. He's really into piano, like Skull. A composer for video game music sounds like a really fun profession, so maybe when he's older he'll work towards that. But he's thirteen, he's got time. He has a stuffed animal he's been attached to since he was two, is half convinced stuffed animal is sentient, and carries it around in his hoodie or backpack. He's not ready to let it go, and Trini fully understands, supports, and gets this. When he's ready, Banjo the seal plushy, will be put beside her own childhood doll Ticklesneezer. Skull's following along with the gentle parenting; he's a bit out of his depth but he appreciates and loves that their kids are being actively supported. He's working on it, and so far the kids aren't traumatized, so something must be working.
Rito Revulto;
Eugene managed to get him and Bulk out of being turned into chimpanzees by a (justifiably) pissed off Rito by convincing him of a role reversal; Bulk and Skull be the maids, Rito and Goldar act as Bulk and Skull. But this means Goldar and Rito have to commit to the things Bulk and Skull were doing. In this case, junior officers. It is a very weird set up, but Rito likes a challenge, he and Goldar decide it's fair, and the power rangers, Vile, Zordon and Alpha and Rita and Zedd are completely confused, but Rito tends to commit to whatever he sets his mind to, and Goldar has a very specific moral code he lives by and this falls in line with it. Vile occasionally tries to cause the comedy duo to go back on their word so he can get his tool-I mean son-back, but the rangers do step in enough to help them. As does Stone, Ernie, and the others.
Eugene and Rito bond over highly shitty parents and realizing they're very similar. They're both people pleasers whose trauma responses is sarcastic quips and being class clown types. Rito turned Eugene's parents into a couple of dogs, and while he contemplated doing the same to Stan, he simply made sure Stan got a big break in the music scene. He couldn't convince Eugene to leave earth at first, until Eugene got left behind by Bulk. There was really nothing left for him on earth, so Eugene took him up on it. They're pirates, and have their own ship, and their son Elio is the apple of their eye. Elio is 26. He's cunning, fast talking, fast thinking, fast acting and has very little fear. He's as courageous as Skull and Rito try to pretend they are. He's bold, and wicked, but he's a man of his word. He has a devil's lock coloring in his hair. Stark black hair and stark white in streaks has gotten him an affectionate nickname of Skunk, but when he likes someone he asks they call him Elio. He listens to his parents and is completely loyal to them, but not out of fear. They're genuinely good at being leaders of their group, and sort of seen as the father figures of most of the crew. Elio follows his dads because he genuinely loves working for them. He did have a splash of rebelliousness in his teens though. He learned the violin, not the piano. When not pirating, they live on Mirinoi with Bulk. He's been to earth a few times, and loves fucking with JJ Oliver, it's hilarious. Not associated with a color, but he'd happily get to know a certain shade of Green.
Does Bulk especially like the lifestyle choice for his best buddy, best buddy's partner and best buddy's kid? no. Can he deny this is the happiest he's ever seen Skull? also no. He is literally living out a childhood fantasy, and thriving. Billy, however, is this close to losing it and throwing all three in a prison on Aquitar. Skull's not even sure if this is from jealousy or being a power ranger. Or the fact Elio's flirting with every ranger close to his age as a battle tactic. Some more seriously than the others.
a tangential au is where Vile kills his parents and forces Elio to work for him. He did offer him as a valid vessel to Specter, but it didn’t work. This version he does get with JJ, who went undercover on the ship to figure out what exactly happened. They manage to get Elio and the crew out of Vile's clutches safely. Elio goes from being like Rito to a lot more like comic!Skull. Divatox is partly responsible for what happens, having gotten tired of the competition.
Adam Park;
Eugene doesn't believe in himself, but Adam does, did, and always has. They started dating after Adam encouraged him to play the piano in the talent show. Adam loves his music, and they're both encouraging of each other. Aisha is a surrogate for their son, Lukas. Given how close she was to Adam, it was only natural in her mind to offer. She loves him, loves he's found happiness, and when they decided they wanted kids she wanted to help that happiness grow. Lukas Park's 17, plays piano, and volunteers at the animal shelter. Adam's a doctor and while Lukas respects and likes this, he'd rather be a veterinarian. Or, like Skull, a professional classical pianist. They support Lukas with whatever he wants to do or be, and he loves the fact he's not being pressured. Skull once sat him down with a list of every job he's ever done (the list was actually more like an entire manila folder bursting out the sides, it was frankly impressive), a ranking system and how much each profession made. Everything from a cop to a detective to an undercover agent for the government to a waiter at a bar to a judge at a pet show to rockstar to pianist-it was comprehensive and a little overwhelming, but at the end of each profession Skull said if it was what he wanted, he'd be proud. At the end it left Lukas fairly calm and certain no matter what choice he made, it'd be the right choice for him, and his dads would support him in this. not associated with a color
Aisha Campbell;
She asked him out and he thought it was a joke. It wasn't. They found they actually challenge each other in interesting ways. She also hates his mom and her parents love him, so that helped a lot. They've got a daughter, Kensie Campbell. Aged 15. Excitable by nature, is in the drama club. Has a near perfect memory, uses this for shenanigans, mostly when sassing her many many honorary aunts and uncles or annoying villains and monsters. Eugene is so, so proud. Aisha sometimes worries the know it all attitude is going to get her in trouble. However, nothing's happened-yet-and Kensie does seem to slowly be learning how to read the room. She plays piano to help her think. Her favorite is moonlight sonata. It partially annoys Skull, but his favorite composer is Bach, so it's more of a principle thing. Kensie is a soccer player, and has a very close best friend. Skull's getting the "what to in case you're kidnapped by a monster with your best friend" speech ready, just in case a group of crime fighting teenagers with attitude show up. not associated with a color
Zack Taylor;
Zack's always tried to give Bulk and Skull the benefit of the doubt and never felt any true antagonistic feelings to them. Annoyance sure, but he doesn't hate them. Eugene took a while to warm up to Zack though, because nice doesn't mean trustworthy, and the two eventually started dating when Eugene realized no, Zack really is just that sweet. They run an ice cream parlor together and have two adopted kids. Achibald "Archie" Taylor and Marigold "Mari" Taylor.
Archie was adopted in his teens, and while this means he doesn't get to have as much time growing up with Zack and Skull as his dads, he's got the rest of his life with them as his parents, and that's the best thing he's ever heard. He was adopted out of the foster care system at thirteen, and is nineteen. He loves botany and magic tricks. Being a stage magician or professional botanist would be really really cool. He doesn't play piano or dance but he loves watching Zack and loves listening to Eugene practice at night. Is unsure what he wants to do with his life, but inheriting the ice cream parlor would be nice, if the botany or the stage magician thing doesn't work out. is not associated with a color.
Mari was adopted last year. She's fourteen and getting used to living with her brother and her dads. They're kinda weird, but she likes them. It is weird going to a new school in a new town, with a new last name. She doesn't really know what she likes, she's still figuring it out, but she knows she likes it here and that's good enough. She does miss her old friends and home a little, but she is making new friends. Zack and Eugene give her space and understanding, and Archie's been great with advice and settling in. not associated with a color.
Sharkie;
They got together after Bulk left earth, but Sharkie did always prefer Bulk over Skull. They separated, but they're still friends. They have a son, Felix, aged 17, and he's seriously considering dropping out and going on a cross country road trip to find himself. He doesn't know what he wants or who he is. He's a lot like his parents, but he's not sure if that was just trying to make them happy or if he genuinely likes these things. They tried by him, he knows this. He's not even half bad. He just doesn't know if he's supposed to be having a midlife crisis at 17. Will be solar green ranger, and realize he enjoys country-rock (the kind of country rock that talks about murders, curses and being a gunslinger in a loveless land or people randomly turning into crows), has a knack for learning new languages, and likes ballet. He's been in ballet since he was four but so was Sharkie so the confirmation he likes it is nice. Also learns he likes playing piano, genuinely. Also nice. He comes home quite happy and a lot more settled into himself, and Skull and Sharkie are proud of him.
Tasha;
It was a complete accident, and they both feel really weird about it. But they kept the kid. Tuskin "Tusk" Skullovitch is lead singer in a punk band, and a bit of a bully at school. He's brilliant but finds it difficult to apply himself in anything he doesn't find an interest in. He loves puns, and loves confusing people. He likes studying rocks because rock music. It takes people a second. He's been smacked more than once over this, but doesn't mind. Bit clever, bit bored, bit of a troublemaker, bit of a pain in his parent's necks. Eugene does love his kid but wow, he's a little bit of a snot. Eugene's forced him into being a lifeguard over the summer to just-try and get this kid some sort of friendship with someone so he can have an attitude adjustment.
Marleau Eskin;
Surprisingly not the worst. He got her to be less of a bitch in an incident were they were taken together by a monster, and he actually lost his temper and snapped at her. When she tried to deflect by getting him to back down with a challenge (which to be fair normally worked), he raised an eyebrow, took a breath, and let loose. To say she had to do some soul searching after the extremely thorough roast would be putting it mildly. She stopped being as much of a mean girl, and he asked her out to prom. More as a dare, but she said yes. One thing led to another and while they don't talk anymore, they do have joint custody of their son Rusty Eskin. Marleau is the mayor of Angel Grove, Skull is a mechanic. It's kind of a whiplash every other month to go from mayor manor to an apartment over a carshop, but Rusty doesn't mind very much. Marleau's learned to be a lot nicer over the years, and she's a much milder version of herself to her son. Rusty on his part likes being at the carshop almost more than the manor, but it's less to do with Marleau and more to do with he hates the reputation he gets with "the mayor's son" and much prefers getting his hands dirty on a car with his dad. He likes problem solving, and fixing things. He likes shop class and he built his own motorcycle for one of the classes. He got his license and he's promised both parents he'll be careful. And he has been. He's also orange turbo ranger. This suits him more than fine.
Candice/Zelya;
Candice told him the truth about who she was, and to put it mildly, he was hurt. He had to put his foot down and tell her he needed to think about it. He really needed to think about what he was going to be doing, and what they were going to be. She waited, and he came back. And was accepting of it, mainly because she'd bit the bullet and been honest. However he had ground rules. She couldn't lie to him, if they had a kid (because things happen) the kid was going to be co-parented and if she wanted to raise future kids as an Eltaran fine but either they spent time on earth or Skull lived with them, or they did the best they could on earth. She was just grateful he was willing to try. Bulk eventually forgave her, when she went against her commander and stopped being the Bronze Guardian for the sake of her relationship with Skull. She fought in the Eltaran War against the Eltarans. While she was captured with the intent of re-educating, she was rescued by Jason and Billy.
They have a daughter, and Spike. Their daughter is Zephyr Skullovitch. she's sixteen, and she and Spike do get taught Eltaran tradition, as much as possible, on earth. Zephyr's got the Z name as she resembles Zelya more in a lot more ways. Spike's got more human dna here, but his sister's blue as a blueberry. Zephyr is best described as 'prickly' or 'grumpy' and the only person who gets her to smile is her brother. The pink ranger tries, but keeps striking out. Zelya wants to be an interdimensional diplomat, and travel universe to universe and see everything. She wants to see everything, know everything, experience everything. Intense, bull headed, one track minded, and has an almost destructive lack of self worth and imposter syndrome. almost. She might not believe in herself but her brother and her parents do. And the pink ranger chick. possibly. Zephyr is not associated with a color.
Matthew Cook;
Matt dives head first into the villain persona, and is happily doing so. He's thriving. Until he's forced into an ultimatum; save Bulk and Skull from certain death by the hands of Goldar, or vanquish the Solar Rangers. Against his better judgment, he saves Bulk and Skull. Skull, unfortunately for timing wise, had said he'd kiss whoever saved their lives minutes before Matt saved them. He's a man of his word, but he also punched him in the mouth immediately after. Matt's confused as hell. So instead of chasing after Kim, begins chasing after Skull because what was THAT. This leads to a very weird redemption arc because Matt has realized 2 things; he likes being kissed by Skull and he does not want Skull mad at him anymore. Cut to fifteen years later; they've got a kid of their own and no actual idea how they got there really. But, they're happy, don't hate each other's guts, their kid's thriving, it's all good. The entire empire of evil absolutely hates them though and Matt somehow managed to get himself on the shit list of Thor. As long as he doesn't go out while it's thunderstorming he should be fine.
Their son is ten, his name is Jude Cook. Jude is one of the weirdly luckiest kids alive. He's survived an insane amount of attempts on his life, falls, kidnappings, and things he should otherwise not survive. His parents have stopped asking how. Loki helped give them a son, which is partly why Thor's pissed, so they've at this point accepted demigod baby is just gonna do what a demigod baby do. It's probably for the best. Spike's his older brother, and is training with Loki to be some sort of spirit of shapeshifting mischief. They both love causing mild trouble. Like Skull, Jude's got a fear of flying which makes things a little interesting. Skull's got his sons and his partner on a very very strict promise; if the shenanigans could cause an enemy of something power, walk away. Walk far away. Neptune exists. We don't want to get on the bad side of Neptune.
in a tangential version, Billy coparents with the two, and studies demigod ten year old, and deals with the Norse gods being in his business. At the very least nobody's been sucked into Ares' prison jar, so that's good.
*Bonus Poly of Billy Cranston, Matt Cook, and Eugene Skullovitch has all above children mentioned. They live in a large house, Eugene's a famous rockstar and restaurant chain owner, and they actually use every room in said house. In this version they met via Matt asking the only person he knew with experience in bdsm for some help with his newly realized kinks; Skull's payment was pizza nights and then Billy got dragged in because he was certain Matt was abusing Skull, but realized it was fine, actually. And fun.
Au Grandchildren:
Prince Olympius;
Eugene and Bulk got dragged to hell, once, and found a little child demon who needed protection as much as they themselves did. The two survived long enough in the dimension with the kid to be rescued by Olympius and Spike. Olympius and Spike, though having known each other when they were younger, reconnected over this. Olympius named the kid Petrichor, and he was later given the nickname Pepper by the mystic red ranger Nick. Pepper is a fifteen year old power ranger, though he got his morpher when he was thirteen. His team is a team of nonhumans who all have unusual rare colors, with the exception of their sixth ranger, Deena, who is a human and a white ranger. Although Pepper is a demon that water can hurt, he is an aquaphile. He loves the ocean, he loves water planets, he loves the rain, and one day wants to study marine biology. Chipper, smart, but generally as easy going as Spike is. He is the crown prince, but knows he’s only in the position because he was adopted into it, and tries very hard to be a good prince. Be diplomatic, be strategic, have all the answers. One day he’s going to be depended on, and he needs to perfect it now. Olympius has cautioned him that even he hasn’t figured it all out, so Pepper’s going to be fine in that eventuality. Just so long as he tries, and he does. Pepper is the indigo ranger.
Mia Watanabe;
So that summer was…eventful. Skull got a grandson and a daughter in law in one fell swoop. He also moved to Panorama City because daughter in law was also a pink ranger and no, he’s not stupid. Rangers should stick to their cities with their teams. Plus Ji was making a stink and they found it easier to just smooth ruffled feathers than deal with him. Spike and Mia have one daughter. Ai Skullovitch lives with Skull while Mia and Spike are at school. She’s eight years old, and Skull loves her. Spike and Mia also dote on their daughter. The kid happens to be taste blind like Mia and feeding her and having her help in the kitchen’s always eventful. While Ji doesn’t spend much time with Ai he does give her presents and training. Neither Mia nor Spike want Ai to be a power ranger. At least. Not a Samurai Ranger, so things from Ji tend to get screened to make sure training and gifts are appropriate. Skull kinda likes being a grandpa.
Lauren Shiba;
Spike and Lauren literally had to go into hiding, and are currently holed up under assumed names with their kid. The little cabin property on the edge of a small tourist ski town in Idaho never came in so much handy for Skull. He was able to help them, and they and the four year old are riding this out up there till the drama dies down. Lauren and Spike got very good at training together, and got very close. However life got in the way for a while. Lauren had taken some time from everything to do some soul searching and finding herself, and Spike was doing a music tour. Mica is not an accident, but he's not approved of at all by Ji and the rest. Skull, however, loves him, and loves his son, and is trying to help them so the kid doesn't have to live his entire life in hiding. Mica's got brown hair, but otherwise looks a lot like Skull and Spike, which is a good thing. "Sam" and "Isabelle" are making the best of it, and are planning on homeschool if things don't change soon. Or chancing moving to Angel Grove. Skull just wants them to be happy and safe, and at least he's not alone in that.
