Another Ghost Dragon Prompt? Indeed.
The Ward had made a mistake. Had stolen something that had caused the very Skies to lash out, entire worlds at risk from their actions.
Time Itself shrieked in rage at the loss of Its child, or at least that's how every magic user- and the speedsters, pale and shaken and looking sick- had described it.
Someone had taken the young prince of the Infinite, and it was not the Tyrant King, long since sealed away, that lead the charge, but the Queen Regent that many had long since forgotten.
Many forgot that it was not the Dark who courted Time, but Time who courted the Dark. That It was just, if not more so, merciless as Its partner, and would Devour worlds should Its child- still with newdeath soft scales- was not returned.
Which meant that for the heroes, there was now a Clock ticking down ever so quietly. They had to take care of what was a government branch, had to deal with consequences of going over the law, or their World would End in dragon fire.

Mommy, I can't find jazzy?
Babs was finishing up her side job, putting away her laptop into her backpack, zipping it up only to freeze seeing a little boy in a jumper with teary blue eyes, black hair wearing a teal beanie, holding Einstein bear clutch in one small arm, his lips wobbling a bit as if trying to hold back tear.
"Mommy, I can't find jazzy... and Daddy haven't come back even though I called out Ghosts like you told me to."
Oh, nu, Bruce's Adoptied a wayne bait is contagious like Dick said.
....
...
...
"What just happen?!?"
"Jazz did you really forgot the no wish rule!" Sam frustrated said a bit loud out if it weren't weren't the toddlers asking her for another story to read out loud.
"Did a natural portal really just spawn, suck Danny at the wrong time and place, and disappears letting Desiree escape too?!?"
"Mom and Dad are going to kill me..." Jazz mumbled into her hands.
She completely forgot about Desiree as she was mad at Danny talking about why he had to come talk about ghost safety to a bunch of toddlers when he have a tight schedule already with being infinite ghost, clockwork's crytic session and lessons, helping make sure tucker don't almost get assassinated for his brilliant work, and doing collage homework.
Then Desiree came to a friendly fight and volunteered with how to deal with a ghost presentation using her Bearbert as exanple only for Danny to not listen to her already frustrated.
It just slipped out in the moment of rage.
She didn't actually mean to say I wish you were a toddler again if you think being an adult is so hard to handle!

"Well, if we go by physical age, you're older. Though chronologically, he's most likely older. Though, we can't assume things here." Red Robin mutters to himself.
Except Kon hears every word. "Ya know what, he's my brother now. We'll figure out who's older later." Kon goes in to hug his new brother.
Danny is shocked, but accepts the hug awkwardly and pats Superboy's back.
"Awe, look at our boys, Lex!" Superman gushes.
"What?!" Everyone exclaims, including some bewildered citizens and newscasters.
Luckily, Danny, for some unknown reason *cough* ghost powers *cough*, doesn't show up on camera because he will not be remembered as the love child between a bald fruitloot and underwear wearing cheerio.
Superman looks confused for a second before his face goes bright red, "I-I didn't," he sputtered, "That's not what I meant!"
Lex drags a hand over his face and thinks, 'Great, now I have two children to convince to leave their father for me. Wait! No! Stupid Superman!'
To say the least, it was a huge scandal the next day that Superman had two kids with Lex Luthor.
The healine read:
Lex Luthor and Superman: Archnemeses or bitter Exes
He'd been flying above Metropolis.
Like a good ghost! Doing nothing but relax! Enjoying the weather, really.
It was so cool, Superman came up to him, they talked even! Superman was very, very, uncomfortable when Danny mentioned he was kinda dead.
It was really awesome.
Yeah, the keypoint being was.
Now? Now he is in Superman's arms, very much alive after being hit by a stray beam from Lex Luthors newest invention, quite literally hit from the sky when he didn't expect it and out of f reflex turned back human.
"I'm... alive?" He jokes weakly, smiling awkwardly at Superman's stare.
Danny considered this awkward.
Clark was processing the fact Lex Luthor somehow managed to bring back someone from death, his hands now full of said miracle and—
Shit, does the kid even have family left? What's he going to tell Lois!?

The Necromancer
DP x DC Prompt inspired by 'The Ghost Warlock' on A03 by Cas3_Blanca
The Justice League has been dealing with matters related to the Undead recently. And JLD could barely handle the undead. That is until Constantine had called in a favor from someone he knew. A young man in a black trench coat with a skeleton following him everywhere, that skeleton had a burned headband on it.
The young man is a necromancer, and he is very good at handling the matters of the undead. He just has a bit of disdain for the Justice League and keeps to himself whenever he is around any Justice League member. The only person he seems to trust is Constantine, as he doesn't even interact with the rest of the JLD members. The young man had told them that he's only helping because he owed Constantine quite a few favors, and once Constantine used up all those favors on helping the Justice League, he's done with them, which means he'll leave the Justice League and Justice League Dark to deal with the undead.
Danny's life was as good as it could get. His parents had accepted him as Phantom, Clockwork assured Danny that he doesn't have to be the Ghost King just yet, his grades are steadily rising, and he is scheduling fights with his Ghostly Rogues.
That is until the GIW had shown up again. They were in the process of isolating Amity when the entire city fought back against them.
There were a few casualties, which mostly consisted of people Danny is close to. His parents, Jazz, Sam, Tucker, Valerie, Dash, Mr. Lancer and Star had perished during the struggle, and only those close to Danny hadn't become Ghosts. There wasn't enough to recover from them. Danny only has a few things to remember them by. His mom's Goggles, his dad's fudge recipe, Sam's bracelet, Tucker's PDA, and Valerie's earrings. Jazz was the only one to be buried, as she still had a body that wasn't vaporized.
He tried looking for Dani and Vlad but learned from Technus that they were captured and ended by the GIW. Now, the only person he has to lean on is his "Uncle" Constantine.
Constantine has helped Danny many times during his first years as Phantom. That's why Danny owes Constantine so many favors. He had tried to call help from the Justice League whenever Constantine wasn't around, but he was just brushed off. Hence why he doesn't like helping the Justice League's undead problems. He had also asked Technus to put his information and anything else related to him under lock and key. He doesn't want the Justice League to access and have files of his information. He's got Jazz's skeleton with him because he's taken up the role of Ghost King, and it came with Pariah's ability to raise a skeleton army if need be, but he only uses it on Jazz and other nearby buried bodies to help him deal with undead that aren't Ghosts. He also doesn't want to show his Ghostly half to the Justice League.
He's gotten quite good at hiding his mental presence from the Martians on the Justice League, but some of his emotions and thoughts slipped through. Now, the Justice League is being annoying to him by trying to apologize to him for whatever it is they did to him so they could still rely on him for any undead related issues.

DPXDC Prompt# 4- Are You Sure You’re Not Amazonian?
Diana has never been happier that the Louvre Museum decided to add a space exhibition because of her new coworker
Danny Nightingale was a bright-eyed 20-year-old who stood 5 inches taller than her and completed transitioning. They were too honest for her to doubt that statement but it just didn’t line up.
She had seen them catch a life-sized model rocket single-handedly before knocking it away from his guided group.
She casually slips Themyscarian into their conversations and they can keep communicating.
She confuses their sister for Artemis when she catches the two of them at a diner and their sister is even taller.
Danny has also been a great workout partner and when they tried sparring she could see the Themyscarian techniques built into them.
Danny had even shown her a photo of their dad and mom, and now she’s even more convinced. But she couldn’t believe that it came from their father’s side?!
She invited Artemis over to meet her enigma, and they both agree Danny has to be at least part Amazonian.
Danny loves his new job and his co-workers took them in immediately. They can’t help but tease Diana’s theory. Of course, he knows she’s Wonder Woman. Even if they retired and full-on ghost royalty, he still keeps up with the hero world. Hell, they’re even sure they’ve been an informant for Diana once or twice accidentally and a couple more times on purpose. It hasn’t been lost on them that Diana is slowly introducing more amazons. Like they’ve met Hippolyta over coffee?! WHAT?! There’s even occasionally a package of jewelry and books they recognize cause they’ve seen the stuff in Pandora’s lair!
Danny is at a loss for words with this situation. Maybe hanging out and training with Pandora had more of an effect than they realized. But how were they supposed to deny it when they knew Clockwork could be listening in at any moment? How awkward would that be? Explaining that the boogeyman Diana grew up hearing about was their grandpa too. Well, not actually but they can’t take that away from him. The ancient is just Grandpa-shaped dammit!
Danny joked one time about being an honorary amazon and didn’t realize that’s all it took for the two to take off running.
Cause what do you mean they suddenly has an Amazonian ancestor added to his family tree?! There’s no way Clockwork would change the timeline just to make them related. WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE DID?!
They can’t even wipe the vindication off Diana’s face when they admit they’re (now) one-sixteenth Amazonian.

A DC X DP IDEA #48
Grandpa
Imagine dis…
This inspired my fridge being full again, here’s a flash back
Me: Thanks for treating me at my favorite restaurant, Grandpa, but you really don't have to do this every time I visit your house.
Grandpa: Don't worry about it, kid.
Me: I'm *realage*, definitely not a kid, Grandpa...
Grandpa: As long as you're not in your 30s yet, you're still a kid. Come on, pick whatever dessert you want, it's on me.
Me: No thanks, I'm saving up for a special treat.
Grandpa: Didn't you hear me, brat? (fondly) I said it's on me. And what treat are you saving up for? Did my daughter didn’t gave you enough pocket money again?
Me: No, it's not like that, Grandpa. You and Mom give me plenty. It's just that there's this *brand* I've been dying to get ever since I first tried it, so I'm saving up to buy it.
*a few months later*
Me: MAAAAAA!
Mom: What's wrong, honey?
Me: Why is there a bunch of *brand* in the fridgeeee? These are expensive!
*I said as I look at the prices on my phone, fearing I missed some sort of discount for buying in bulk.*
Mom: Dad apparently wanted to try some ever since he saw it in a commercial and bought too many. He sent some extras here...
Me: *Takes a long inhale* AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
….…..
We all have that grandfather. The one who insists he doesn’t play favorites but then turns around and gives one grandchild a thousand dollars for Christmas, claiming it’s because, “Well, I can’t take it with me when I’m dead, might as well spend it on something cute now.” It’s a universal experience. And apparently, not even death—or undeath—exempts you from it.
For the past month, Danny's friends had been roasting him relentlessly over one singular fact: Clockwork spoils him rotten.
Danny, of course, denies it. Danny, ever the tired, oblivious little disaster of a ghost prince, insists Clockwork treats him like any other unfortunate intern-slash-trainee. If anything, he argues, Clockwork enjoys his suffering. After all, no spoiled child would be forced to sit through two-hour lectures on the political structure of the Realm of Screeching Mirrors or solve time-based equations that make mortal physics cry. And yet, somehow, every time he finishes school and is already dead tired—pun intended—he gets yeeted straight into another lesson about interdimensional algebra that makes even Jazz’s nerdy heart weep.
Sam, Tucker, and Jazz just sit there and stare at him like he’s trying to convince them the sky isn’t blue. Even Dan, actual chaotic/ genocidal menace of the Ghost Zone, released on royal bail with a community service contract (a.k.a. babysitting duty), had the gall to grimace at the blatant favoritism. Ellie just nodded and made snide bets on how long it would take before Danny noticed Clockwork had been rigging his ghost-life like a doting stage mom.
It didn’t stop there either. Apparently, somewhere along the line, Pandora decided to become the wine aunt—but instead of wine and passive-aggressive casserole recipes, she sent weaponized care packages. Need a broadsword that sings show tunes when swung? Pandora’s got it. She once gave Danny a dagger made from the crystallized screams of vanquished tyrants. When asked why, she simply said, “To keep your mortals on their toes.”
Then there was Frostbite. Calm, collected, soothing Frostbite… who also happened to be the kind of uncle who would knit you a blanket and throw a car at anyone who made you cry. He’d once paused a global summit in the Far Frozen to deliver Danny a scarf because he “looked a bit chilly” during said meeting. The scarf was bulletproof. And sentient.
Everyone saw it. Everyone. The entire inner circle of Danny's life treated it like the worst-kept secret in all of ghostdom. Sam tried reasoning with him. Tucker built a PowerPoint. Jazz made pie charts, actual pie charts, trying to explain the psychological indicators of excessive grandparental attachment. Danny? Still blissfully in denial.
Which was funny, considering Clockwork literally paused time every night so Danny could get his eight hours. And occasionally twelve. Or fourteen. There were also the little notes left in Danny’s backpack: “Don’t forget your lunch, also destroy that wraith behind locker 307, it’s giving off bad vibes. Love, C.W.” Or, you know, when certain bullies AHEM GIW agents that are more on the violent and competent side AHEM mysteriously disappeared from time itself. Not dead, not missing, just never existed in the first place. Suspiciously convenient.
Still, Danny remained oblivious. Ranting about how Clockwork just gave him more work while his friends sat in the background, watching the temporal equivalent of a dad saying “I’m not mad, just disappointed” and rewriting history to give his grandson fewer childhood traumas.
Things only got worse when Phantom officially joined the Justice League Dark. The invitation had been pending for months. After all, there was only so long the League could ignore the literal child-shaped ghost who kept single-handedly neutralizing League-level threats in a small Midwest town like it was his weekend hobby. The Dark team, especially Constantine and Zatanna, had begrudgingly accepted him after witnessing him pull obscure banishment spells from memory, casually referencing ancient ghost kings as if he had lunch with them last week. (He probably did.)
Thanks to Phantom, the League Dark's solved-case rate skyrocketed. Not that Danny bragged about it. No, he just muttered quiet “thank-yous” to Clockwork for teaching him spells like “Ecto-Spatial Reversal via Reverse-Entropy” and “Don’t Touch That You Idiot, It Bites.”
Things were going smoothly—until a group of Green Lanterns arrived with bad news: a planet eater had been spotted in their quadrant. Immediate panic, of course. Superman went into overdrive, Batman did his usual dramatic scowl, and Phantom… winced.
Hard.
He doubled over slightly, one hand pressed to his core, face pale and wide-eyed. The room turned quiet as Danny muttered something garbled, a soft, vibrating cry that made Constantine drop his cigarette and Doctor Fate slowly turn his helmeted head.
What most of the League didn’t know—what even Danny barely acknowledged—was that as a newly ascended Ancient of Space (thanks, Ghost Zone promotions), he could feel his creations. And he had just started experimenting with creating baby planets for fun. Tiny, floating ball worlds full of pink sand, purple skies, and slow-beeping space whales. He’d named one of them “Steve.”
And now? Steve was gone.
That warbled noise he let out? Not pain. Not warning.
It was a cosmic tantrum.
And the moment he wailed, the pen sitting at the edge of the conference table froze in mid-air. Time literally stuttered. The League stood frozen. Until a massive, glowing portal sliced open behind Danny with the sound of a very irritated and blood thirsty grandfather clock chiming, who knew a grandfather clock can make such ominous chime.
Out came a giant ghost cloaked in deep violet robes, staff glowing ominously, red eyes glaring holes through the League. Every hero present snapped into defense mode—Superman rose into the air, Wonder Woman readied her lasso, Batman reached for seventeen gadgets at once.
And Phantom?
Phantom flung himself at the terrifying ghost like a toddler reunited with their favorite plushie after a week of laundry day. The tears started flowing as he began incoherently babbling about Steve and planet goo and how he worked really hard on making the gravity work this time, and now it’s gone, Grandpa, it’s gone!
Clockwork, for his part, gently patted Danny on the head and offered a soft “There, there. Let’s go home. I have cookies. And cocoa. With extra marshmallows.”
Danny nodded miserably, clutching his mentor like the universe had wronged him personally—which, in fairness, it kind of had. The two vanished into the portal, and just like that, time resumed. The pen hit the floor with a sharp clack.
The Justice League stared in stunned silence.
And then, just a beat too late, the Flash burst in with a stack of nachos, four Slurpees, and a hot dog sticking out of his hair.
Flash blinked at the scattered papers, frazzled League members, and the faint, lingering smell of cinnamon cookies. Batman said nothing. Constantine just lit another cigarette.
…..

Just a Bite (part two)
Previous | Master Post | Next
Danny slid into the taxi and closed the door, not even a second later did the man merge into traffic. Sneaking a glance at the driver, who somehow looked even worse than Danny did when he hadn't slept in four days, Danny slowly peeled off the sticky note from the seat.
glancing down, he found Clockwork's familiar handwriting. (which he would like to add, shouldn't be as familiar as it is, but then again, he shouldn't be having tea time with him either.)
Do what you think is right, only then does your future look bright.
well, alright then. does that mean Danny should jump out the moving car? because he didn't think walking into some poor rich dude's house and forcing his company on the family was the right thing to do. He thought it was the most convenient at the moment, sure, but not the right one.
flipping the note over, Danny found more writing;
Do not jump out of the car, you've already come this far. Patience will be a virtue. This is worth the persue. Do not worry, there is no hurry.
"what the hell, Clockwork?" Danny quietly hissed, glaring off to the side and out the window. "You become friends with Ghostwriter or something? and what do you mean don't worry? I'm literally running from the government. if nothing else, that's probably the one thing I need to worry about."
Another sticky note poped up, this time stuck to the back of the driver's seat. Glancing up, Danny waited a second for the driver to be distracted before reaching out and snatching the note.
the only thing on it was a very shitty smily face.
what the fuck.
"this isn't funny, clocky!" Danny hissed again, glancing up to make sure the driver hadn't heard him. "mom and dad literally have my ecto signature, they only need a single hint of which direction to go before it becomes all too easy to find me again."
closing his eyes, Danny took a deep breath.
holding it for a second, then exhaling. Alright. Fine, if Clockwork isn't worried or against this, then there's no reason not to do this. (well besides the obvious one; it's rude to walk into someone's house uninvited and whatnot.)
"fine, but I'm only staying long enough to snag some food and then I'm gone, got it?" Danny grumbled, glaring at his reflection in the window. he didn't receive another note, so he leaned back and watched as the city passed. Slowly buildings spread out, and green lawns turned into green fields.
staring down at the smiley face, Danny shook his head, carefully he pulled out his phone and removed the case. shoving the sticky note inside, Danny put the case back on and put his phone in his pocket. it was dead, so he couldn't do anything else with it so might as well make it useful. who knows when Danny might need that little bit of ectoplasm.
A few minutes later, the taxi slowed to a stop next to a black gate and rolled down the window. "taxi 'ere, Mr. Wayne already paid me."
"I see," a strongly British voice echoed from the box, "come in." The gate beeped a second later and swung open, allowing the taxi to drive through. Danny glanced around the front 'yard' as they approached the looming building. Nicely trimmed green grass fields as far as the eyes could see, trees lining where Danny had to assume were the property lines.
somehow it was completely different from Vlad's front yard, yet still, Danny could only describe them as the same. Green, full of flowers and sculpted bushes and outlandishly garish paveways for their rich front doors. If Danny squinted he could swear there were butterflies happily fluttering around the sides of the building.
and Danny uses the word building here because that was not a house.
No, no. That building wasn't even a mansion like Sam's house. nor was it a castle, like Vlad's. It was an old building of amalgamated eras and themes. Danny was so annoyed his phone was dead right now, Sam would have lost her mind if she could see what he was. Are those eighteenth-century dormers right next to a twentieth-century skylight???
you know what? Mr. Wayne deserves to have all of his food eaten right in front of him. Who in their right mind would allow their home to look like that? And in the twenty-first century no less!
The taxi pulled to a stop; and Danny, lost in his Sam-induced horror, automatically pushed the car door open, stumbled his way out, closed the door, and stopped at the bottom of the stairs to stare up at the roof.
Taxi man sniffed and then drove off, his jaw cracking yawn echoing in the back of Danny's mind.
"Master Tim?" the British voice from earlier echoed out from the now-opened door. Danny's gaze dropped from the roof and down to the older man now walking toward him. the man hadn't looked up from his newspaper, still reading a paragraph as he stopped in front of Danny.
blinking, Danny glanced down at the paper. he might as well see what had the man's attention so thoroughly. Another article about Damian Wayne and the schoolyard incident.
Danny snorted, he remembered reading about that one. Someone had thrown away their copy and Danny had been bored. let's just say Danny was thoroughly entertained. he even had thoughts about how the kid had managed to sneak in a small dagger with how tight the school's security claimed to be.
"it had to be his belt, I just know it," Danny whispered, leaning a little more to try and see what the new article revealed.
"yes, yes. young master Damian snuck his dagger to school, no need for you to tell me how for the seventh time. Now, then." the butler, folded the paper and put it in his back pocket, and then, again without looking, gently grabbed Danny's arm and guided him toward the door.
"master bruce has been worried about your lack of sleep, you will go to your room and take a nap or you will not be allowed to share in your siblings' desert at diner tonight." the British man sternly continued, closing the front door behind them.
Danny blinked at him, then at the large foyer in front of them. he was so glad Vlad hadn't splurged on aesthetics like this family obviously had. Was that a crystal chandelier?
The British man, Danny was going to call him Gramps now, guided Danny to the stairs and then promptly let him go so he could rush off to find the source of a loud crash, but not without telling Danny (master Tim) to get some rest.
Glancing up at the grand stairs (covered in an obscene amount of glitter) and finding a large golden framed painting of the ocean with a for sale sign next to it, Danny made up his mind.
Mr. Wayne was a multi-billionaire, who allowed his ancient family home to be butchered. If he wasn't going to respect his home when Danny didn't even have one anymore?
Then Danny was going to honor Sam; The person who had dragged him into this hellish life of interior and exterior design (as well as the half'a life coincidently). And how was he going to do this, you ask? well what else, then do the very thing she's dedicated her time to?
Eating the rich.
Or in this case; their food.
and well, what was a ghost supposed to do when welcomed into an ancient home with ungrateful residences? Not haunt them?

DP x DC Time!
(I'm gonna give Adopted Dad John Constantine another try. Please thank @dcxdpdabbles for their amazing encouragement and for helping me come up with this. They have become my new fandom buddy and we now trade story/fic's)
John adopts a Wayne??
Clockwork should have paid more attention to that, as team Phantom calls him, Damn Fruit loop! He looked around at the frozen timeline and felt his core whimper. His core-bonded grandchildren are gathered around his King as the Fentons are mid-fight against Plasmius.
Danny is bleeding a worrying amount of ectoplasm. Jazz is trying to keep pressure on the worst of his injuries. While Dan and Ellie are both in their Phantom forms guarding them both. He looked around and saw two figures mid run towards the group. A Fenton first-aid kit in their hands.
Ah yes. Young Sam and Tucker. His Kings left and right hands. They looked to be injured as well but nothing as life threatening as Danny. Which paints a picture Clockwork didn't want to be true. He should've kept a closer eye on this dimension. He had gotten too comfortable leaving it to his King that he forgot things could happen to his King as well.
He didn't have a lot of time to do this and he needed to make sure this won't rip the timeline apart. There was only one thing that he could think to do at an emergency time like this.
Clockwork made his way over to the adopted siblings and crouched down. He unfroze Jazz first knowing she'd be the calmest. She gasped loudly and started looking around before meeting Clockworks eyes. They were full of sadness and regret.
"I deeply apologize for being neglectful of this timeline. I had put too much on your shoulders and I'm sorry that I let it get this far."
Jazz didn't say anything. Just stared at Clockwork before slowly looking down at her Ectoplasm covered hands before looking at Danny's frozen pain filled face. She looked ahead seeing her other adopted siblings guarding them in case Vlad got past their parents. She looked back to where Sam and Tucker were racing over with tears staining their faces.
She then turned to Clockwork. Squeezing her hands into tight fists. She should be angry at him. Furious. She should yell at him and tell him exactly what he can do with his apology. But Clockwork is the only person who can help Danny at this moment.
"His obsession.... It used to be about-about killing Dad and being with Mom. Raising Danny to be his heir. But he's changed over the past few weeks. We didn't notice at first. He slowly stopped trying to remove Dad from the picture. Stopped hitting on Mom. But focused more on Danny. I tried talking to them about it. But they thought Vlad was just wanting to spend more time with his godson."
Clockwork grimaces. He can tell where this story is going. From the look of rage of the Fenton parents. Then glee on Plasmius face. The fury and horror on Dan and Ellie. The pleading look on Sam and Tucker. If he hadn't frozen the timeline when he did there's no telling how this might've gone.
"So Vlad Plasmius obsession is now fully on Danny. That's not good. Not good at all."
Clockwork sighed and thought deeply. He had to get Danny out of this timeline and fast before the Universe falls apart. He reached into his pocket for a handkerchief for Jazz when he pulled out a piece of paperwork. He'd been going over the Kingly paperwork when he realized what was happening. Across the top of the paper was a name that made everything click into place.

Clockwork was bored. You would think the ability to see everything everywhere all at once would be overwhelming but it’s actually boring. There’s no suspense when you always know what’s going to happen. But that was all part of his job as the Ancient of time.
Every universe was scripted out. Each one was slightly different from the last, but it still had the same major things in there. For instance, there was always a Gotham in every universe. Sometimes the city itself, sometimes a comic book about the place as if it were fictional. The same with Amity Park except that one universe made it an anime instead of a kids show which was…. A choice.
Most of the time Clockwork just had to make sure that catalyst events happened no matter what the timeline. Like the adoption of Jason Todd. Or the death of Danny Fenton. The meteor that killed the dinosaurs. Stuff like that. Universes that didn’t have enough catalyst events like that tended to implode on themselves if some new event didn’t take its place.
Clockwork was looking at a universe at the moment that was definitely close to being expired. Could he let it happen? Sure. He could. But that wouldn’t have been much fun to watch.
In the universe he was looking at currently, Danny Fenton has all but disappeared at least according to the locals of Amity Park. Which wasn’t that bad. Easily fixable. However the much larger problem was that Jason Todd just died the wrong way. In most universes where his death took place, it always happened that same way as it was a catalyst event for that universe. Jason gets beat up by the joker and then dies in an explosion. Then he gets revived and healed by some assassins in a pit of really fucked up ecto. Standard procedure.
However in the universe Clockwork was looking at, Jason died due to the crowbar. There was no bomb. Infact, Batman didn’t even arrive to the scene until much later than he did in every other universe. The strangest part though, was that after killing Jason Todd, the Joker threw him into the Lazarus himself. There was no downtime or buffer. This kid was going to be alive again by the end of the week and unless Clockwork did some timeline adjustments, it was enough that the entire universe was inevitably going to fall apart.
Obviously fixing it wouldn’t be hard to do. If he did it the easy way. To rewrite Jason’s death. But that was kind of boring. So, Clockwork had a better idea.
…
Jason gasped suddenly and he felt liquid enter his lungs. He opened his eyes to see green. All around him. Shit, if he inhaled anymore liquid he could drown. So he started to try to swim towards what he thought was the surface. His body felt odd and disconnected from his brain making it hard to move but he kept going. He had to keep going. He didn’t want to die.
Finally, he felt his hand break the surface and latch onto a ledge. He pulled himself out of the green glowing Lazarus, trying to cough up as much liquid as possible.
Memories started to flood back to him. The fight. His mom. The Joker. The fucking crowbar. And most notably, no Batman. Batman never came. He was going to kill B for that.
Jason took a few deep breaths and let himself look around. His eyes immediately locked onto a child. Looked to be about 3. Pale with black hair and blue eyes. The boy was sitting with his legs crossed, covered in blood. He was playing with… something?
Jason couldn’t help but worry for the kid, hoping he did t fall into the pit. It was a dangerous place to be especially alone. Jason sat up to get a better look.
The moment he did, he saw the toddler’s eyes dart right into his own, the blue overpowered by a sudden glow of green. Lazarus green. A look of fear ran over the boy’s face as he froze in place.
Jason felt something in his chest churn, almost as if he could feel the fear dripping off of the child. He didn’t want to scare him. He didn’t want to hurt him. He wanted to get them both somewhere a bit more safe.
Jason stared at the boy, trying to not look menacing. He wanted him to know he could trust him. He felt whatever that new something inside his chest was also try to reach out. Jason didn’t notice when his own eyes turned green, but he did notice that the boy’s attitude shifted very quickly.
The toddler’s eyes went back to blue as the look of fear mostly washed out of his face. There was still some apprehension but it seemed that the two of them had silently come to an agreement of sorts that they were not enemies at least.
Jason looked down from the boy’s eyes and into his hands and whatever animosity Jason had within him was completely washed away. This kid had been through something horrific. In the toddler’s small arms was the decapitated and now decaying head of the Joker. Jason’s murderer.
Jason suddenly felt like this child in front of him was more important than anything else. Whatever he had gone through to land him in this place with that head was fucking over. Jason was going to protect this kid until the day he fucking died. Again. This child had gone through unimaginable things and Jason inherently knew that even though he knew nothing about this kid’s story, he was was going to be one of the very few who could really understand what he was going through.
“What is your name?” he asked as softly as he could.
The boy quietly responded in almost a whisper, “Danny.”
This kid was his kid now. To hell with wherever he came from. Jason was now a dad.
…
Bruce was distraught. Devastated. Completely inconsolable. Jason, his son, was dead. The Joker had confirmed it with a video of him laughing over the dead body. That was a week ago now. Bruce didn’t know what to do. He failed Jason. He wasn’t there when he should have. He couldn’t save him.
He had gotten delayed when he found out where Jason had gone and tried to go after him when a kid he’d seen at a few galas before, Tim was dropped out of the sky landing right on top of him with a post it note safety pinned to his back. He ignored it at the time as he was a little preoccupied.
After he got up again after the initial shock and realized it was just a kid, he tried to calm the nerves of young Tim who described watching his die and then being teleported into the sky and dropped. There was a chance that if Batman’s body hadn’t cushioned the fall, he would have been seriously injured.
He knew he couldn’t leave the young kid there by himself. And he knew that he had to find Jason. He didn’t want to bring him along either but the boy insisted that he wanted to come. Was it smart? No. Did he end up bringing Tim with him? Well yes. He was running out of time after all.
But Batman didn’t make it. The place was empty except for the dead body of Jason’s mother and a lot more blood that was undoubtedly his son’s.
Bruce was currently lying in his bed. He hadn’t gone out to do anything except for patrols. It was the only thing he could focus on. It was the the only thing he could bring himself to do. Bruce Wayne had the time to grieve for Jason Todd. Batman on the other hand did not have that. He had to remain vigilant and consistent. More importantly he had to find the Joker and send him away for killing Jason. Which would have been a lot easier if he hadn’t completely disappeared.
Bruce stared at the nightstand. It had the post it note that Tim had on his back when he fell. He had read it hundreds of times. But he didn’t want to believe it. It was just more proof that Jason was dead.
He took the post it note from the nightstand and read it again, hoping it was different. It was not.
Take this kid home. He’s Robin now :)
…
Tim didn’t really know what to do. His plans had come to fruition much faster than he had anticipated. After watching g his parents die, he had sworn to himself that he would find Bruce Wayne, the Batman, and convince him to let him help fight the evil of the city. But he didn’t expect that the moment he made that decision he would he plucked off his feet by unseen hands and then suddenly dropped from the sky.
That was over a week ago. Now, he was sitting on a large sofa in Wayne Manor. He was thinking. All he really had time to do was think. He had seen his first crime scene at Batman’s side and afterwards was brought back to the manor. He was left alone. He hadn’t seen Bruce hardly at all.
He wanted to do more. Go out and help with something. Anything. But Alfred wouldn’t let him go anywhere. So all he could do was think.
Did anything that had happened since his parent died make any sense? No. Joker deviated from his MO. But why? It was so different than anyone would have expected. There was no spectacle or epic battle with the Batman. He was just gone with a dead body behind. Nothing else.
And that was AFTER Tim was teleported into the middle of the sky. If he just had more resources, maybe a computer or some books that he could dive into to, he could figure it out. There had to be SOME reason. Right? But he had already checked the books in the manor library and Alfred wouldn’t let him into the poorly hidden Batcave. He only had his own thoughts.
He would grieve his parents with that time but he could also just as easily do that later. Besides, he had already decided he was going to become a vigilante and help the Batman. And most importantly, there was a puzzle in front of him that he wanted to solve more.
…
Jason knocked on the door the manor. He was nervous to see B again. Since according to newspapers he had been gone for a week. He knew his dad was gonna be mad that he went to see his mom. And mad he was gone so long. Jason knew he was going to get chewed out for it but he just wanted to be home. Especially since he was going to need help raising Danny. He didn’t know how adoption worked and Jason was only 15 but he was sure B knew how to do all that.
Danny was currently in his arms. He was so small compared to Jason now. Before he had died, he was wasn’t nearly this big. Jason had muscle sure but he was still relatively lean. Now, Jason was built more like a brick house. His shoulders were wider than a typical doorway and he was much taller, at least 6’4.
Danny was sleeping at the moment. He still had the Jokers head in his arms. He hadn’t been able to convince the kid to let it go. Which was fine. Jason didn’t really know what to do with it anyways.
Some shuffling was heard and then the door opened. Alfred was staring back at him.
“Hey sorry I was gone,” Jason said, not really sure what else to say.
Alfred looked from Jason to Danny to Jason, double take on Danny. His face was hard to read. Jason was kind of nervous.
Alfred stepped out of the doorway. Behind him was B.
“Jason!?”
“Yeah. Hi.”

"Mother. Mother. Mom. Mum. Mother. Mom-"
Danny sighed as Dan did his best to annoy him, no doubt revenge for the child leash. Which wouldn't have been needed if not for his continued attempts to go off on his own.
As a five year old.
Which wasn't going to happen, no thanks. They had to deal with people trying to kidnap them as "elf people" or something in this dimension already. Ancients, can't people let him travel with his kids for vacation in peace?!

Tall Danny because we don't get enough of it.
Puberty hit him like a god Damn Steam roller because he was getting taller than everyone in Amity Park after summer break along with Clockwork lessons. Mom and Dad accepted that he was half ghost and now cooperated with the ghost on their theories that they had to redo with each answer to old questions fixed after the Ecto Act was Disband by The Justice league, mainly because Martian manhunter got caught one time by the GIW.
Frostbite did say that his space and protection core may have a play onto this since his living body was mimicking the growing with his ghostly form so it won't be harder to shift between the two.
That the height of his body was growing at a rate that was defying the law of gravity at 10'6 feet that he had to get his clothes and shoes customized by the Ghost Seamstress. His hair was longer than rapunzel in that movie, but he wasn't allowed to cut it since Ellen liked to burrow herself in it cause it felt like what cloud should be.
Mom and Jazz helped braid it into a lovely yet masculine style so it didn't get in the way of his ghostly spars with the rogues, even ember giving him tips on how to wash it. His nails had turned black and was strong enough to cut titanium like melted butter. His blue eyes had darkened and morph that Dad told him that he was seeing the big bang being born in his eyes.
Tucker jokingly said he could easily win the tallest guiness award. Sam called him a beanstalk, but considering that both of them were going through the same issue as him.
Sam was growing lavander in her hair and diving into researching plant life, even making a hybrid cannibalistic plant that eats pesty weeds and produces a much more vegan yet nutritious milk that was safe enough babies to drink that actually got an approval from thousands of mothers who couldn't pay for formula.
Tucker got into university for technology even though he is currently the mayor of Amity Park with an intense hobby of being an Egyptologist.
Wearing supposedly 'duplicated' Gold relics in his braided hair, taking forever in the bathroom to tune up his eyeliner makeup (it not makeup Danny!) , having clothes full of egyptian modern clothes and the obsessive mixing together technology and Egyptian coding into his latest Frankenstein cellphone creation.
Danny can ignore the gaping stares as he sits in the subway to Gotham University.
He knew he was tall. He already got into Gotham thanks to Lady Gotham dropping him off near a library where Ellen was chewing on a rainbow sour worm.
Ellen immediately dived into his hair like a train diver again after noticing him while complaining about how Lady Gotham won't let her leave the city at all cause she saw that Ellen was Danny's mirror core.
She did mention a burger place called bat burger that a rated 3rd place in the best burger, beside Nasty burger on top 1st and Lunch lady's speical Wednesday burger surprise 2nd, while a nice lady in a wheel chair in the library behind her gave her sour worms.

Dead Serious x Reincarnation
Reincarnation is a documented phenomenon, if an uncommon one. It’s been recognized and recorded for years, with around 0.03% of the population being reincarnated. Out of that percentage, only 0.05 were important in history. Most reincarnate’s memories are triggered by reading history books of important events during their first lifetime or seeing items from their past in museums.
Danny had had his memories triggered when he was nine, not that he understood what it was. He just knew that he had heard a new phrase from his teacher and his mind was suddenly filled with the image of a tall man with long brown hair and a soft smile holding him late at night, whispering the secret of his invulnerable into his ears. Later, he would be told that he had a seizure oil class and had to be sent home early.(Jazz was the one to take him home. Mom and Dad fussed over him briefly, but not long enough.)(The phrase Achilles heel never fails to make him shudder after that)
Damian has never understood the anger in his chest when he sees a spear, but he knows better than to mention it.He just uses the anger to fuel him in combat, ignoring the Deja vu and how his tutors say his work with weapons is much better than it should be.
Damian’s memories are triggered when he is ten, after seeing a servant stabbed through the stomach with a spear, and in his mind that servant suddenly has dark hair and grey dazed eyes that don’t see the enemy until he is skewered while wearing armor that isn’t his and his mind fills with rage and self loathing and grief. Later, he is told that he killed the assassin who killed the servant and killed over a dozen other assassins before he could be subdued. Mother sends him to live with Father three days later.
Danny thinks of his past often, finding humor in the similarities. He is again fighting a battle he does not want to fight, though he at least has equal power and enemies who enjoy his humor. He often goes to Pandora’s kingdom just to feel a bit of nostalgia, and he tries to ignore the feeling of something being missing. (As he continues to defend Amity, his outfit begins to look more Grecian, though the armor doesn’t look like it should fit.)
Damian struggles with the memories of his past. He has a hard time with the similarities of a father and mother who give him a legacy he must shoulder, though this time he isn’t as secure in the love of his family and fights with his brothers often. (He has never had those before. At least with his sisters, he has some understanding from his past.)
Danny didn’t expect much from his meeting with the Justice League. He had been meeting with them for days to hash out the political situation of his realm.( He hadn’t wanted power in either life, but in both he had taken a mantle that wasn’t supposed to be his for the betterment of his people, his fellow warriors. He just hoped things were better this time.)
Damian didn’t want to come to this meeting. While the infinite realms were intriguing (and part of him wondered if he could find Patroclus again), he would rather avoid spending more time with father. They had been at odds recently, and he didn’t want to add to that.
Clockwork smirked as his king joined what was supposed to be the last meeting between the Justice League and the King and Court of the Infinite Realms. He knew what was coming. This would be an interesting meeting.

Sealed Halfa
DP x DC Prompt
Danny had been living a pretty good life. He was the Ghost King. His Ghostly Rogues are scheduling fights with him. His grades are improving. The GIW had just up and vanished. And Vlad hasn't been doing anything lately to challenge Danny for the title of Ghost King.
He should have been more careful. The reason for Vlad's silence was because the GIW had captured him and ended the Fruitloop. And now they have him. But nothing the GIW does can permanently end him, as the Crown of Flames and the Ring of Rage keep him alive. So the GIW had sealed Danny, which also makes his Ecto Signature impossible to detect by any type of means, and only a GIW member knows the location of where Danny was sealed.
This act alone had caused the ghosts to enact a war on the earth. The war had ravaged the planet to the point that it was inhospitable to almost anything living. So Clockwork had reset the planet. No one could be spared from the reset, as the entire dimension would destabilize and destroy itself.
Danny remains in the seal, still 16, and still a Halfa, as the Crown of Flames and the Ring of Rage sustain his Human Halfs by converting the Ectoplasm they generate into nutrients for their King. And as time passes, Danny's Ectoplasm leaks out of his seal, causing pools of Ectoplasm to be made all around the world.
The Crown of Flames and the Ring of Rage consume any humans that enter the pools of Ectoplasm and converts their bodies and souls into nutrients for their king. And occasionally, sometimes, when the person survives the pools of Ectoplasm, they are left the emotions of the King that has been sealed away by the US Government.
When Tim had blown up multiple League of Assassins bases on his journey to get Bruce out of the timestream, the explosions had caused ancient cave systems to be shifted and slowly open up pathways to the surface, but the pathways would take quite a few years before they could reach the surface.
And on Damian's 16th birthday, he is kidnapped by his mother and taken to Nanda Parbat to become the Demons Head.
As the Batfam is fighting the Assassins and Talia in the Lazarus Pit chamber, the ground beneath them crumbles, and they all tumble and fight their way down the long cave system they have found themselves in.
The cave system leads them to a very much abandoned lab with a big glowing green crystal in the center of it. And then Jason shoots the crystal, causing the crystal to crack all over (the ectoplasm in Jason had taken control of him and knew that the King would be freed if it damaged the seal that contained the King).
After who knows how long, Danny is freed from the seal, and after he regains his bearings, he looks up and sees his Dad in a bat suit. His mom has a different hair color, and he sees his own face staring right back at him along with the many other people staring at him (Danny and Damian are the same person from different timelines, Damian is NOT Danny's Human Half that's been reincarnated for the survival of the Human Half of the Ghost King).

dead serious #2
idea that league of Assassins has connections and deals with the ghost Zone/ infinite realms. Ellie gets destabilized and Danny needs help; he ends up going to frostbite and Clockwork. They tell him about the deals that a lot of the ghost Zone has with league of assassins. He panics because of the Assassins but they make it very clear that they can help. Danny is about 14 And Damien is turning 13.( I know Damien is supposed to be with his dad at this point but just go with it)
Ellie ends up the de Aged and Danny uses an artificial womb thing that Talia uses for Damien. Danny and Damien become friends during this time due to Talia and Ras wanting Damian to have good connections with the infinite realms.
There's an attack on the league that ends up with Damien getting very hurt in the lab that has Ellie, it affects something and Damien's DNA ends up helping Ellie grow. The DNA helps stabilize her but it also gives her another donor. Damian leaves to train with his father not long after the incident but he does know there is a chance that she is technically now his kid though it is never confirmed while he is there.
I'm just imagining Damien knows weirdly niche things due to Danny and the bat family is wondering why he knows things like obscure memes or has opinions on fast food.
The bat family has to interact with the League of Assassins and Damien asks his mother how Danny and Ellie are and if the accident caused problems with development. Talia then reveals that his DNA did end up integrating with Ellie and that technically he is the father. He asks if she can get them in contact and he end up able to. When This entire thing happens All the family is fighting for their life and they're in a separate area so no one knows what this conversation is.
They get into contact and end up meeting up when Damian is on a mission outside of Gotham. Damien leaves Gotham to meet up with them constantly and that pings on his family's radar. They follow him thinking he's taking down some sort of group without backup or he is contacting the league. What they find is not what they expect.
They Find is Damien talking with Danny cuddling under a tree while Ellie plays with Cujo. They don't realize Ellie is with them at first until Danny calls her over for lunch and she calls Danny and Damian mom and dad. They then proceed to question when Damien became a teen dad.

DP x DC Prompt: Single Mom Who Works Too Hard
Ship: Spirit Halloween (Danny Fenton/Bruce Wayne)
(If this ends up on Tiktok, I don't consent to it!)
We've all seen the DeAged Danny raised by Jazz trope, but how about a little something of the reverse end?
---
Danny's the Ghost King and has been for almost a thousand years at this point. He's also grown into his role as the Ancient of Space, working alongside his ghostly adoptive father, Clockwork, to ensure that the fabric of existence itself doesn't tear into pieces, mending reality wear it frays and making sure that troublemakers are taken care of, one way or another.
Jazz has been his confidant and head advisor ever since she became a ghost, with many joking about how she's his mom. Well apparently, word of this got back to one of said trouble makers, whom then misinterpreted the joke to be literal. Said troublemaker attacked Jazz while Danny was busy and she was travelling to a meeting with one of the more violent sub-kingdoms.
The attack was brutal and swift, and while she managed to escape to safety, the damage had been done and she was Fading. In a last ditch effort to save her, Frostbite offered to help Danny absorb her core so that he may incubate it until she was ready to reform anew. The problem is that, since Danny is a Halfa, Jazz's ghostly biology would be forced to adapt and she wouldn't reform as a full ghost, but instead as a Halfa like him, and would essentially become his daughter.
As such, she would be reborn as a baby. Whether or not she would retain her memories, or if they would return with time, or to what degree, was a mystery.
With no other choice other than to let her End, he agreed and the procedure is performed. After which, since the Realms are too dangerous at the moment to raise a new princess, Danny decides to take a brief sabbatical in a Mortal Realm. This way he could safely reform Jazz and raise her until she's old enough to defend herself. So with some help from Clockwork and Frostbite, he found a suitable dimension to do so. It was also dangerous, yes, but there were already plenty of heroes and it would have plenty of ectoplasm to sustain them.
Once some steps were put into place to keep the Realms running without him, leaving his (now elder) daughter Ellie in charge in his abscence (mostly, he still had to do paperwork), he slipped into the new dimension and found himself in a gloomy city called Gotham. It didn't take him long to get himself set up, using programs custom made by Technus and Tucker to put him into records, he gets an apartment and settles in.
Things are mostly quiet for the next year, as Jazz safely reforms as a newborn baby girl, looking almost exactly as she had in life, save for her new starlike silver freckles and lightly tapered ears, just like Danny's human form had. Learning to be a parent to a baby Halfa ended up being harder than he expected, as her cries would echo through the complex and her unchecked ghostly aura led to things becoming too much for their mortal neighbors as more and more moved out. Eventually, the building was almost empty, and Danny ended up having to buy the whole thing when the owner was thinking of demolishing it, which would've been a real hassle.
With most of the tenants gone already, Danny took the opportunity to do renovations, moving him and Jazz to the penthouse to get easy roof access and made a ton of modifications to minimize the effect that Jazz had on the mortal humans. He then started renting out to people in desperate need, offering cheap rent with generous leeway on payments since he didn't really need the money, and what he did get went to maintenance for the building, hiring staff and feeding him and Jazz.
Eventually word got back to Bruce about this single dad running an almost suspiciously affordable apartment complex and he decided to investigate it, just in case. He set Oracle to check out its virtual footprint and then sent Tim to act like he was interested in investing in the complex. If it turned out to be legit, then great, they would support it. If not, then they'd take care of it.
But then one day he just happened to bump into the (surprisingly attractive, boy did the pictures NOT do him justice) guy while out at a store so he decided to take the opportunity to try to get some answers from him himself, and the adorable baby girl in his arms.
She didn't look much like her father, aside from the freckles and the ears. Metas perhaps? That would be unfortunate, since Metas tended to be targeted and/or ended up getting pulled into villainy whether or not it was a willing decision. But that being said, nothing about the young family was immediately suspicious, and Bruce found himself actually enjoying the conversation.
After Tim and Babs both gave their reports that they'd found nothing immediately suspicious of the man, Bruce began to tentatively send people in need towards the complex, knowing that Danny would give them a good deal for a decent apartment. He would also begin to meet up with the man to discuss further expansions of actually affordable apartments, with Danny taking charge to ensure that his tenants were living in good conditions, even when it would keep him up later then he already did with a young toddler to raise.
The more that they interact, the more the two find themselves talking longer, about deeper topics, or even just sitting together in silence while Jazz played with her toys. And whenever Danny happened to nod off, exhausted, Bruce would make sure that the toddler was looked after just to give the poor man a break. After all, Bruce knew how hard it could be to balance so much on a plate.
(Feel free to expand from here however you wish!)

Billy: … what?
Clockwork: it’s not unusual for the males of our species to incubate our young. It helps them grow stronger as they can directly absorb their father’s energy. Why do you think all my children were powerhouses compared to their cousins. Most of my brothers chose not to do it because they couldn’t handle birthing pain.
Zeus:… what?
Clockwork: what do you mean what? You gave birth to Athena and Dionysus the same way. You ate them and then gave birth to them. And look how they turned out. Athena became one of the most influential goddesses in all of Greece and Dionysus was able to ascend to divinity in his lifetime. Maybe if you bothered to eat your other kids they wouldn’t cause so much trouble in the mortal realms.
