Shoutout to trans Christians on this Easter Sunday and Transgender day of visibility. You are loved and cherished by God, who sees your true self and calls you by your true name.
I also want to send comfort to every trans person, religious or not, who has been hurt by religious transphobia. Hatred is not Godly, and you deserve so much better.

because i engage in christianposting i get the most rancid takes on my for-you page about how you gotta be pro-life pro-Israel pro-heterosexual-marriage-traditional-gender-roles to be a real christian. GROSS.
i am pretty sure God doesn't want you to do all that but what do i know.

[Image description: a tweet from Aneela (@anee1a) which says:
'Reading a novel about a Palestinian Christian who is forced to flee his home in Jerusalem during the Nabka in 1948 and takes up a teaching job in Baghdad, where he falls in love with a Muslim girl. Was deeply struck by this passage shot through with anger at the Christian West.'
Underneath is an extract from the novel, which says:
'(beginning of the sentence cut off) these very streets and hills and houses and hovels. For me Christ is a part of this place. But how do you suppose they think of Him in the West? Do you suppose our Christianity is like theirs? When they sing of Jerusalem do you think they mean our own arched streets and cobbled alleys and terraced hills? Never. Christ for the West has become an idea - an abstract idea with a seting, but the setting has lost all geographical significance. For them the Holy Land is a fairy land. They have invented a fanciful Jerusalem of their own and made it the city of their dreams. But for us the geography is real and inescapable. When they sing of Jerusalem in their hymns they do not mean our city. Theirs is a paradies, ours is hell, Gehenna, the city of no peace. Nor is their Jerusalem the city of Christ any more. It is the city of David. What does it matter to them if our houses are destroyed, if a thousand Leilas are blown to bits and our city gates are turned into shambles? They've stolen our Christ and kicked us in the teeth.'

Phillip: Lord, we have a problem.
Andrew: There are 5000 hungry people here and the only food we have is this boy's bar of chocolate.
Jesus: Not a problem. *pulls out a knife* 11/12 disciples don't know about this cool hack.

❤️Gods Love❤️
I wanted to draw myself with Jesus just once. He showed His Love to me more than once in such amazing ways that it felt so real to me. And this is what I tried to put on paper. The chains represent what I went through, that 'thing' he freed me from. And the heart show how he heals me. I'm not comfortable with it yet to share it online what I went through. I am doing better and I'm not so afraid anymore. I'm getting there somewhere with His help. He didn't 'take' it away from me, but it kinda is still around when I am tired it comes back, but He is then literally with me and I feel his presence which I describe as a warmth that feels burning like from a candle or the warmth of a heater, but than from within. And he soothes me with it, calms me and then 'that thing', it just goes away on it's own. Here you see the final result 😊First time with real gold leaf.....just hard to work with.

CONGRATULATIONS!.
Job 11:14-19 MEV if iniquity is in your hand, put it far away, and do not let wickedness dwell in your tents; [15] for then you will lift up your face without blemish; yes, you will be steadfast and will not fear, [16] because you will forget misery, and remember it as waters that pass away, [17] and your life will be brighter than noonday, even your darkness will be as the morning. [18] You will trust because there is hope; yes, you will search about you, and you will look around and rest in safety. [19] Also you will lie down, and none will make you afraid; yes, many will court your favor.
Happy New Year! Welcome to the new year! Congratulations, we all made it! Unfortunately, we seem to think January alone or the first three months is the new year. Why can’t it be a new year always? A lot of people start the year by making “new year’s resolutions,” things they intend to either do or not do. Sadly, not many see this through. Some don’t even last until the end of January. It’s always good to start the year with plans and preparation, but we must remember that, as Psalm 37:5 says, only God can make our plans what they ought to be if we commit them to Him. Job’s impassioned speech to his friends could serve as our resolution, not just for the new year but for life generally. The Bible encourages us to examine our lives and resolve to change them if necessary (although not just at the beginning of a new year). Psalm 17:3 says that we should resolve to keep our speech pure, saying: “I have planned no evil; my mouth has not transgressed.” Ephesians 4:22-24 encourages us to put off our old selves—the “old self” that refused to trust and serve Christ earnestly. But we should be renewed or transformed in the mind, according to Romans 12:2, as we study and apply God’s Word and begin to think in new and right ways. The new year should be a new beginning for us in many ways, especially in spiritual things. We should endeavor to enter and remain in the new year with renewed minds. So many of us walked the proverbial wilderness in the last year, wishing, praying, and hoping that God would do something new for us. God is promising in Isaiah 43:19 that He is, and will do, something new for us—something unprecedented and wonderful, not just for the new year but always. We make resolutions that are often too unrealistic; however, so many of our resolutions fail. Resolutions are sometimes wishful thinking, with no way to make them happen. For example, you might resolve to make a million this year, but if you don’t have a job or a business, how do you plan to earn it? It probably isn’t going to happen. Other resolutions fail because we aren’t willing to make the sacrifices necessary to reach them. When we plan with God, as Proverbs 16:9 states, He directs and establishes our plans and paths, with little or no chance of failure. Even if you made resolutions, who holds you accountable for keeping them? No one! All too soon, we find ourselves falling off the bandwagon. But when we make godly plans, the scriptures hold us accountable to obedience. We must remember that, according to Romans 7:18, the real problem with not being able to sustain carnal resolutions is within us—within our hearts and minds. We’d all like to be better people, but no matter how hard we try, we find ourselves tripped up by our moral failures and weaknesses. Even Paul experienced this: “I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.” According to Deuteronomy 7:13, obedience to the covenant of God leads to blessings. Everything we would need, want, and desire in the new year is in the Lord. May it be a wonderful one. Prayer: Thank you, Lord, for the privilege of seeing 2025. Thank you for the gift of life. May the year be established and prosper by Your word and Spirit as I commit my life and everything into Your hands for godly perfection. In Jesus’ name, Amen. Not to sound like one of those war-on-Christmas, curse-this-heathen-society weirdos, but I'm sad that Divine chocolate don't have the story of the nativity inside their advent calendar any more. Where you get a bit of the story every day like this:
Tumblr media
I'm aware that:
I already know the Christmas story
I've read this exact version many times as a child
If I somehow forget I can just open the Bible and read it there
But I had one of these advent calendars from my grandparents every year growing up, so they're nostalgic, and I miss having a little bit of the story every day as part of the countdown to Christmas.
Anyway, I'm sure if any website can understand the appeal of reading a well-known story slowly in small pieces over many days, it's the website that popularised Dracula Daily.

maybe i should start cosplaying as a christian just enough to relieve some pressure on my traumatized brain so i can function again
how are y’all coping with The Horrors today, i’ve started listening to a christian band i used to listen to all the time growing up (mercyme if ur familiar). twas the first band i ever saw in concert. not in a “wait what if i wanted to be a christian again” way but in a “these sounds in this order are comforting and familiar” way. weird but im accepting it bc it works
