Christian scripture clothing can also be a great conversation starter. People will often be curious about the meaning behind the verses on your clothes, and this can open up doors to witness about your faith in Jesus Christ.

How to Wear Faith-Inspired Outfits
When it comes to fashion, there are endless possibilities. But sometimes, it can be difficult to find clothing that reflects our faith. Christian scripture clothing is a great way to show our faith in a fashionable way. Here are some tips on how to wear faith-inspired outfits:
1. Start with a basic outfit. A simple dress or slacks and a blouse are a great foundation for a faith-inspired outfit.
2. Add some Christian-themed accessories. A cross necklace or bracelet is a beautiful way to add a touch of faith to your outfit.
3. Incorporate biblical colors into your ensemble. Wearing colors like white, gold, and purple will help create a look that is both stylish and faithful.
4. Choose clothing with positive messages. Scripture-inspired t-shirts and sweatshirts are a great way to share your faith with the world around you.
5. Be confident in your choices! Wear your faith-inspired outfit with pride, knowing that you are representing your beliefs in a beautiful way.
Where to Find Quality Christian Scripture Clothing
It can be difficult to find high-quality Christian scripture clothing. However, there are a few places you can look. One place to find quality Christian scripture clothing is online. There are many online retailers that sell Christian apparel. Another place to find quality Christian scripture clothing is at a local Christian bookstore. Many bookstores sell clothing with religious messages or symbols on them. You can also find quality Christian scripture clothing at some department stores. Some department stores sell faith-based clothing lines.

Christian scripture clothing can be a powerful tool for expressing your faith. Not only does it make an impactful statement, but it also serves as a reminder of the importance of living in accordance to one’s beliefs. Whether you decide to wear something subtle or more pronounced, the message remains clear – that faith is at the heart of everything we do and will continue to guide us through life's journey. Christian Dating Advice, Finding Self-Worth in God, and Presenting Yourself Well
1. Seek God First
Prioritize your relationship with God above all else. Spend time in prayer, worship, and reading the Bible. When your heart is aligned with Him, your confidence and joy will naturally shine.
2. Know Your Identity in Christ
Your worth isn’t based on appearance or status but on who you are in Christ. Meditate on scriptures like Psalm 139:14 and Ephesians 2:10, knowing you are deeply loved and created with purpose.
3. Date with Purpose
Be clear about your intentions to date for marriage, not for casual relationships. Communicate your values, such as celibacy and a Christ-centered partnership. The right man will honor and respect your boundaries.
4. Focus on Character Over Chemistry
Look for a man who demonstrates faith, integrity, and kindness rather than solely focusing on physical attraction. A God-honoring man will appreciate your inner beauty and values.
5. Dress Modestly but Beautifully
Your clothing should reflect your respect for yourself and God. Choose outfits that are modest but also reflect your personality and femininity. This doesn’t mean hiding yourself—it means presenting yourself in a way that’s classy, confident, and respectful.
6. Carry Yourself with Grace and Confidence
Your actions should reflect the love of Christ. Smile often, be kind to others, and speak with grace and gentleness (Proverbs 31:26). Confidence rooted in God’s love is one of the most attractive qualities you can have.
7. Guard Your Heart and Set Boundaries
Proverbs 4:23 reminds us to protect our hearts. Take time to let relationships grow slowly and prayerfully, ensuring they align with God’s will. Set clear emotional and physical boundaries to honor your commitment to purity.
8. Pray Over Your Relationship
Involve God in your dating journey by praying for guidance and wisdom. If you’re in a relationship, pray together to keep Christ at the center and build a strong foundation for the future.
9. Silence the Lies of Insecurity
Combat negative thoughts about yourself with scripture. When doubts creep in, lean on truths like Jeremiah 29:11 and 1 Peter 2:9 to remind you of your worth and God’s plan for your life.
10. Serve and Love Others
A selfless and loving spirit reflects God’s heart. Serve others with humility, as this not only honors God but prepares you for the selflessness required in a Christ-centered marriage.
11. Surround Yourself with Godly Community
Seek friends, mentors, and a church community who will encourage your faith, affirm your worth, and hold you accountable to your values.
12. Trust God’s Timing
God’s plan is perfect, and He knows the desires of your heart. Trust that He will guide you to the right person at the right time. Waiting is not wasted when you are growing closer to Him.
13. Be Warm, Honest, and Authentic
When dating, let your true self shine. Be warm, kind, and honest about your faith and values. Authenticity is far more attractive than trying to meet worldly standards. 🌸
By focusing on your relationship with God, presenting yourself in a way that reflects your dignity and confidence, and holding firm to your values, you’ll position yourself for a relationship that honors both you and Christ. ✨
With love,

Daddy's Girl
ExDrugDealer!Connie x BlackReader
summary:
cw:
wc;
a/n; hope yall don't get offended by this only read this over once this is also for my fllwers 🩷 + requests are open
Growing up you were raised with a very religious background your furthest memory to date was your mom making you sing in the choir.
You didn't mind at all you actually liked going to church at times with your father being the pastor you were inspected to be modest all the time since you had a reputation to uphold.
Which means no growing up. No parties, No skimpy clothing, and most importantly No boyfriends.
You could never wrap your head around it.
"Y/N pull out your bible and pay attention maybe kids your age can learn something from it" Your Auntie Ruthie smacks your arm with her hand fan.
pulling out your pink bible turning the page to the scripture.
It felt like forever of your dad preaching about the same things but with different words.
Each time he finishes reciting the stories a string of "hallelujahs" and "amen" flooded the medium-sized church.
it was going just like every Sunday went it was just about time for offering when you noticed a man well boy with a collection of tattoos that marked his neck and entire two arms standing beside your father
"Brothers and sisters ill like to introduce a new family member of our church Brother Springer"
looking around you it's clear as day not everyone was with the idea of him joining.
His full name was Connie Springer or "Constance" as people called him in the streets. He was a big-known drug dealer in the area who was recently shot.
Who now found himself in your daddy's church ranting about him finding God.
Did you believe him? Hell No. But as a Christian, you have to see the good in people.... so who are you to judge?
“Now folks I want you to open him with open arms lets all bow our heads and say a prayer towards this young brotha!” on cue, everyone bowed their head as your father recites the words.
You could feel eyes watching you while each word was spoken. slowly opening your eyes up you see Connie smirking at you biting his lip
you couldn't help but stare he was oddly attractive your aunties warned you to stay away from thugs and deadbeats.
but something about him made your heart skipped.
closing your eyes again focusing on the prayer and blocking him out but it wasn't too long before negative thoughts filled your mind.
dirty ones.
you have been having dreams of someone buried deep between your plush dark toned thighs slopping all over your messy cunt while one of his hands is wrapped around your neck.
rising up from your two soft pillows your clear juices dripping from he’s barely visible stubble beard.
His hands soon found home around your jaw shaking it roughly
“open your fucking mouth bitch” the dark figure huffed out.
quickly opening your mouth obeying his command
he used the hand that was wrapped around your jaw lifting it up and shoving it back down.
“you know what to do stop actin dumb” he takes his other hand that was originally holding your thigh to slap you across the face till your pink little tongue came out.
“ m’imma reward you for being so good” he hurtles a gob of spit down your throat forcing you to swallow it.
“yea thats it you really want daddy’s dick huh? you fuckin dirty whore” he lets go of the placements of hands as now they found their way towards his pants.
unzipping them revealing dark blue boxers with a large bulge
slowly pulling the-
“Y/N! You better not be sleep!” your auntie hits your side again slightly shoving you.
by the time you opened your eyes, everyone was on their way out probably going to red lobster or olive garden.
“now this is my first and only daughter y/n” You look over to see your dad talking to Connie looking directly at you.
connie still had the look in his eyes he did before
“well look at gawd y/n come over here and say hi to our new member”
you walk over gripping at your coral-colored dress.
“Hola hermosa, ¿cómo estás?” he spoke his spanish fast and you couldn’t lie you found it attractive especially the way hes tongue moves
“huh?? sorry im not very fluent in spanish” heat flooded your cheeks quickly. maybe you should have paid attention in spanish.
“ahh it’s okay Cariño i was either at first” followed by that he opened hes mouth displaying hes pearlie white teeth shiny teeth and me you guess.
“well good news baby connie here is coming to bible study”
okay what does that have to do with you???
“and you’re gonna help him find the way of god”
WHAT??
Today was the day you and connie were having a one on prayer session. You didn’t even know the boys last name.
and here you are wearing a simple peach shade dress with white stockings underneath.
not to mention the black lace bra that cups your breasts perfectly
you walked in to see Connie already there reading over the bible
he was wearing a wife beater tattoos marked all over hes two arms depictions of guns, skulls and you even spotted prayer hands.
you quickly rush towards your seat right in front of him he slowly raises he's head up meeting you in the eye.
"how long have you been staring at me hermosa?"
you quickly bended your head down shying away from he's grazed as he chuckles.
"im just joking with your baby"
despite the lingering sexual tension in the air you continue preaching
"uh okay so in Matthew 4:1 it talks about temptation from the devil and"
as you continue with the verse you can feel hes eyes lingering across your stockings you couldn't help but to look towards hes peeking becip.
during the session Constance lip bites , winking and even hes hand traveling too far down your cleavage
" and we drink the grape juice to symbolize Jesus’s purity an-“
“your not pure are you”
your head whips up with quickness as the words left hes mouth”
“what are you talking about?”
“i know you we’re having a wet dream about me sunday”
he arises from hes chair and puts your right leg over hes shoulder
he pulled up your skirt exposing your white dolly panties with a small bow on top with a small patch of wetness on the soft cloth.
“the only name i respond to is daddy” his hands found comfort around your throat. testing the waters he squeezed tightly.
“ is that clear whore?”
“yes daddy” small tears begin to prick from the corner of your eyes.
everything happened so fast your skirt and panties fully removed with your left breast making an appearance out.
“ do i have permission?”
you noticed his pants were ready off leaving him in his boxers in the short time you came to terms with everything.
slowly nodding your head up and down in agreement
“words hermosa”
“yes daddy”
he , mischievously grins down at you pulling off in boxers in a swift motion revealing he's length in all its greatness
you never seen a dick face to face this was all new
the tip of he’s head lined up to your entrance making its way inside of you
you can feel your body being rigid with inch length goes in
“Dios mío why didn’t you tell me you were this fucking tight”
he started moving in and out of you at a slow pace. You can tell by the look on his face he was holding himself back
he made soft movements as he kept going in and out
the pain on its own was unbearable it was like someone stabbing your uterus over and over again it didn't make it no better that you can feel him knocking at the entrance of your Cervix.
after a while of bad after bad thumps pleasure develops in your tummy.
"ohhhhh my god"
your hands went down and gripped the base of the chair despite the loud sounds the chair constantly makes. he stops for a minute repositioning himself into a better angle and striking himself back in you. His movements came with practice and skill as he continuously flicker your G-spot. You breathes were uneven and lost in the noises that your pussy made.
you could tell he was close he's movements became more sloppier with each stroke.
"im cumming oh my fucking god im cumming"
he's fingers found their place on your clit going in a circular motion.
you too both groan loudly together while the waves of pleasure passed you as he spills himself inside you he speaks again with he's deep voice.
"same time next Wednesday?"

When a blog follows me who "likes" or reblogs the Sctipture I post and also has nude/scantily clad women on their blog or follows inappropriate blogs...what Bible are you reading? Don't fool yourself, "For you may be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous (that is, an idolater), has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God." Ephesians 5:5. You are not saved if you are sexually immoral (I didn't say it, the Bible does; re-read above Scripture).
And no, I am not referring to the spam blogs, but blogs ran by actual people. I would have to hate you to not share the truth with you. However, I will block you, because, "But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people." 1 Corinthians 5:11.
Same to be said when I go on dates with men who are professing Christian and are of the impression you can, as a "Christian", have sex before marriage. They are wolves in sheep's clothing. "you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister but is sexually immoral...Do not even eat with such people." 1 Corinthians 5:11.
Again, I would have to hate someone to not speak the truth to them that their very soul is in trouble.
Run away from sexual immorality [in any form, whether thought or behavior, whether visual or written]. Every other sin that a man commits is outside the body, but the one who is sexually immoral sins against his own body. 1 Corinthians 6:18

As We Ponder Belief
(2p!Prussia x Reader) - Chapter 13
Note: This story is based vaguely during the mid 1200s in Eastern Europe where the Teutonic Knights fought the Northern Crusades to try and convert the native pagan population to Christianity. As a result, this story will have heavy religious themes all throughout. It should also be noted that, while referencing real-life events and locations, I am not striving for full historical accuracy. This is for the sake of the story I am telling.
Once again, this series will have heavy religious themes throughout, including discussions of bible stories, doctrine, and scripture verses, as well as critical analysis of Christian doctrine and beliefs. So, if you don't like that, you will want to skip out on this.
(y/n) felt her heart sink into her stomach. Just earlier that day she met young Albrecht, and now she had to see this sweet boy spread out on an operating table. When she tried to hurry over, Gillen stopped her, holding out his hand.
"Stop. Tend to Gilbert, then come see me," He ordered as he took out a small, sharpened pair of scissors and began cutting through Albrecht's clothing.
"I'm fine," Gilbert insisted between gasping breaths. He must have run here. "But Albrecht isn't!" Gilbert spoke while gesturing to (y/n) to go and help Gillen.
(y/n) did as instructed and hurried to assist Gillen. When at the operating table, she looked down upon the injured youth. The sight made her blood run cold. Blood was seeping from the boy's left shoulder, staining his once pure white teutonic uniform a ghastly crimson. With his tunic and shirt now cut away, she could see his bare chest heaving, gasping for air. His lightly tanned skin was painted red with his blood.
Gillen held a cloth over the shoulder wound, applying pressure. "This looks like an arrow wound," He commented. "Gilbert, tell me exactly what happened."
"We went on patrol further up north this morning and ran into some of the pagans. We were outnumbered, so we tried to turn back quickly, knowing we couldn't win. As we tried to retreat one of them shot Albrecht in the shoulder," Gilbert slowly regained his breath and composure, but he was clearly still rattled.
Gillen didn't respond, simply carrying on with his duties in applying pressure to the wound. After a second or two he addressed (y/n).
"Bring me plenty of bandages, a bucket of water, and a rag. Hurry!" As (y/n) scampered off to the cabinet, Gillen interrogated his brother further. "Was anyone else injured?"
"By God's grace, nothing more than scrapes we can treat ourselves," Gilbert stumbled and plopped down taking a seat on one of the beds.
"God's grace indeed," Gillen sighed, keeping pressure on the wound.
As soon as (y/n) brought over the items he asked for, he grabbed the water and rag, taking away the cloth that was now completely stained in Albrecht's blood. While he cleaned around the still bleeding wound, (y/n) could feel her heart breaking at the sight. Albrecht began to look pale as his head slowly lolled side to side, as if barely conscious. His eyes only partially lidded, the color within appearing dull and lifeless. Even his cute freckles looked more like specks of dried blood. He groaned, fresh tears beginning to pool around his eyes. He could hardly look. As if reading her mind, Gillen spoke up.
"Don't leave. If you are to be a nurse, this will be a good learning experience for you."
All she could do was nod her head, breathless at the scene before her. Taking a small rag, she dabbed at the tears in his eyes. He slowly let his gaze travel up her arm to her face, the tears beginning to slowly trickle across his skin.
The next forty or so minutes felt like they went on for hours as she watched Gillen clean, dress, and bandage up the young knight's shoulder. Everything seemed to move in slow motion as she heard the boy groaning, hisses of pain escaping his lips as Gillen dressed the wound before wrapping bandages around the puncture wound. She winced every time he yelped, pain shooting through him, only to be soothed by Gillen's gentle voice as he reassured Albrecht that he'd be fine. That it would all be over soon.
The agony. The horrific sight of a knight who might as well be a child, covered in his own blood. The sounds of his crying with every movement made. It was almost too much for (y/n) to bear. When Gillen finished bandaging up the wound he stood back for a moment, letting out a deep breath. Looking up at (y/n), he asked her to help move him to a bed as gently as possible.
(y/n) did as asked, and placed one of her arms under his legs and another under his hips. Gillen did the same with one arm under his back and the other supporting his head and shoulders. Gingerly, they both lifted the boy, who at this point had fallen into a deep slumber. With feet lightly brushing along the floor, the doctor and his apprentice moved their patient to a bed. After resting him on the soft mattress, (y/n) instinctively went to fluff the pillow around his head to ease any potential discomfort. Afterward, she brought out a blanket and laid it on his body, tucking him in as one would a small child.
(y/n) took a few moments to mentally gather herself, processing the entire event. Looking out the window, she saw that the sky had changed from a beautiful sunset to a dark, starless blue, signaling the beginning of nightfall. While observing the world outside the window, Gillen took a moment to fully see the woman before him.
Something began to stir within his heart, a sensation that slowly became familiar over the last couple of days. A tightness in his chest. But just now, it was becoming oddly pleasant. Like a tiny flame flickering away inside of him at random, inopportune moments. All of which occurred around (y/n). Like now when he looked upon her profile. The way the soft candlelight illuminated her face as she gazed out into the darkening world outside. And the way she so tenderly comforted Albrecht. It was all he could do to stifle a small laugh when he considered the stark contrast between the woman she presented herself to be this morning versus the angel standing before him now.
Shaking himself out of his thoughts, Gillen cleared his throat.
"Well, um... I suppose we ought to let him rest," He mentioned. (y/n) looked his way and nodded in agreement.
"That sounds like a good idea," She said breathlessly, her voice sounding tense.
"Are you feeling well?" He cocked his head to the side.
"Yes, of course, just... A little overwhelmed," She awkwardly straightened out her skirt. It was only then that she noticed the bloodstain on her apron.
"You can soak it in cold water overnight and wash it tomorrow morning," Gillen reassured her. "But if you are overwhelmed, might I suggest some tea? We can prepare some in the dining hall."
(y/n) paused to think before smiling. "That should be fine."
After pretreating their bloodied aprons, Gillen and (y/n) made their way out the door and toward the dining hall, all the while completely unaware of Gilbert who had been lying in a bed on the other side of the room, watching everything.
(y/n) and Gillen sat across from one another in the dining hall, sipping on their tea, the glow of a lone candle beside them. As they sat there, (y/n) noticed his normally icy gaze was now overcome with a beautiful warmth to them. The dim glow of the candle gave his eyes the appearance of shining pearls. The soft illumination caused his stark white hair to almost glow, the white strands giving her the impression that perhaps she was in the presence of an angel. This lighting truly made him seem otherworldly.
"You seem quiet. Was today too much for you?" Gillen asked. Even his voice seemed to have an ethereal air to it.
"I... I suppose so. I guess I just wasn't expecting to have to help treat someone so soon," She nervously rubbed a finger along the side of her cup.
"I understand. Honestly, I was hoping to just keep you on herbal medicines for a week or so before giving you any kind of training in surgical work. But even so, these are good learning experiences for you. Say, (y/n)?"
"Y-Yes?" She could feel her voice beginning to tremble. But why?
"How do you feel about the fortress? About life here?" Gillen seemed genuinely concerned.
"Well, to be fair, I have only just started a new routine in living here," (y/n) continued to trace the outline of her cup, anxiety welling up inside her. "The welcome from the knights this morning was certainly unpleasant. But even so, I cannot see myself going anywhere else for the time being."
"I understand. But I must ask, why do you want to stay here? Really?" Gillen leaned forward only slightly, but it was enough to color (y/n)'s face pink.
"W-Well, it's as I said before weeks ago. I have nowhere else to go." Her heart rate sped up.
Gillen didn't seem convinced, raising a brow. She sighed, resting her hands on the table and looking up to meet his softened gaze.
"Alright, so maybe that isn't the entire truth. The full truth is, I'm scared." She admitted, a sense of shame rising within her.
"Of the pagans?" Gillen quickly picked up on her message. She began to tremble.
"Y-Yes. Not only do I have nowhere else to go, no family or next of kin to return to, but... The people who attacked my village. They're out there. And... Part of me wonders," She cautiously looked out one of the windows, turning to the side. "Are they out there waiting for me? Logically they probably are not, but even still."
Gillen took in her words, feeling the tremble in her voice, as well as the slight shakiness of her hands. Something about her fear caused an ache within him. Reaching forward, he placed a hand on hers, causing her to look at him. Her delicate skin felt warm under his.
"I can see you are scared, but rest assured, you won't be alone. You have Gilbert, Albrecht... All of us here. And me. Only now do I see how brave you have been. You lost everything, and now you are in the process of rebuilding. (y/n)," His voice was so soft, the softest she'd ever heard before. The way he said her name lingered in her ears.
"Yes, Gillen?"
"I promise you, you will never have to be alone. And as long as you are here, you will never have to fear again."
(y/n) couldn't help the tear that ran down her face, her grateful smile shining in the night.
"Thank you, Gillen."

The same elected POSes who want to teach the Bible in Public Schools because, y’know, morality?
Well…they might be right about morality:
“…Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat…
44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’
45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.
46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment…
ARE ELECTED REPUBLICANS DESTINED FOR HELL in the 14 States?
Obviously these officials have the same ‘belief’ in Religious Scripture as any admitted Non-Believers since these Republicans are comfortable ignoring the ONLY passage in their Bible with the phrase “eternal punishment”.
The difference is that, unlike the Elected Officials, most Non-Believers and Non-Christians admire the teachings of Jesus about Charity, Mercy, Community.
The Christian elected GOP-POSes see Jesus as too woke and the Bible as just one more boot to put on peoples’ necks.

[Discerning False Prophets]
Dear friends, do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God. For there are many false prophets in the world.
1 John 4:1
.
.
There are numerous of false prophets out there that it’s not even funny. So many Christians are being deceived by them. Always TEST the spirit folks, and ALWAYS make sure what these people are saying line up with scripture. Be like the Bereans who searched the scriptures daily.
And ALWAYS read scripture in CONTEXT. These so-called “prophets” are always reading scripture WAY out of context as well as twisting it to suit their stupid prophecies.
Jesus warned, “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves” (Matthew 7:15). False prophets will say things that contradict the teachings of Jesus, the Law, the Scriptures, and other prophecies from the Holy Spirit recorded in the Bible. One of the most common false prophecies given by deceivers, especially amongst cult leaders, is they can predict the End of Days, even though the Bible says, “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only” (Matthew 24:36).
So here’s a message for you false prophets:
“Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’
-Matthew 7:21-23
[BONUS VERSE]
No prophecy ever originated from humans. Instead, it was given by the Holy Spirit as humans spoke under God's direction.
-2 Peter 1:21

“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world." (1 John 4:1).
Christians are to be discerning hearers and readers of all messages. There are “many false prophets” or “wolves in sheep’s clothing” that try to lead us astray, presenting a false gospel that is powerless to save.
We are to compare what is being taught with the clear teaching of the Bible, the Word of God. Therefore, the way to test the spirits is to see if what is being taught is in line with the clear teaching of Scripture, like what the Berean Jews did in Acts 17:10-11.
In order to be discerning, Christians need to diligently study the Scriptures- For the Word of God is “a lamp” and “a light” to our path (Psalm 119:105).

For your enjoyment of the texts and my enjoyment of your analysis, the opening of the Paschal Canon:
It is the day of resurrection, let us be radiant, all people! Pascha, the Lord's Pascha! For Christ our God hath brought us from death to life, and from earth to heaven, as we sing the song of victory!
Christ is risen from the dead, by death He hath trampled upon death, and upon those in the tombs bestowing life! Jesus having risen from the grave as He foretold, hath bestowed on us eternal life, and great mercy!
Let us purify our senses that we may behold Christ, who is like lightning, and shall clearly hear Him say "rejoice!", as we sing the song of victory!
I am glad you enjoy this because it is very fun for me hehehe
“It is the day of resurrection, let us be radiant, all people! Pascha, the Lord's Pascha!” I love the exuberant way in which these begin. It fills me with such joy! Often times when I (and also like most Christians thru out history I believe) picture the resurrection my mind turns to the sunrise. Just as the sun/son set, so the sun/son rises, and with it The Dayspring (one of my favorite christological titles). So already I am bringing this with a bright sunrise in my mind, and is at the empty tomb being clothed in the light of the rising Son.
“For Christ our God hath brought us from death to life” iambic pentameter. I think. In truth I don’t really know since I *technically* do not know what iambic pentameter *is* (what the actual heck is a “stressed syllable??? I’m the one stressed here), but as soon as I read that line I felt like I was in a sonnet so *shrugs*. I feel I’ve gotten sidetracked lol. Anyway
“For Christ our God hath brought us from death to life, and from earth to heaven, as we sing the song of victory!” What I love about the Pascal Canon like ALOT is the victory language!!! A great victory has been achieved by the death and resurrection of our God and so this is reflected in the victory song-like energy of the canon. Very “O Death where is you sting?” St Paul would be proud. As the “brought US from death to life” is equally epic. For if we die in the Anointed One, we are raised to life in the Anointed One. The celebration of The Resurrection is a celebration (and anticipation) of our resurrection.
Okay this “song of victory” also reminds me of the Song of the Sea from Exodus 15; the first song in Scripture (not counting Lamech’s murder song) and it is freaking awesome!!!! Unfortunately as I am writing this I don’t have have access to the text so I can’t look to see if there are any commonalities other than just vibes but honestly vibes alone is enough for me.
“Christ is risen from the dead, by death He hath trampled upon death, and upon those in the tombs bestowing life!” Okay this part is making me feel something in particular. I can’t exactly like put words to it tho. Ofc there is the victorious “by death He hath trampled upon death” — okay actually I think that word “trampled” is part of what making me feel things. It’s giving “and he will crush your head” as well as Paul’s absolutely amazing “May the God of peace crush the adversary (satan) underneath y’all’s feet”. Death is the cosmic tyrant, the serpent of old, who’s head is crushed underneath the foot of Christ by his death (technically I am conflating Death with Sin and The Adversary but I need to meditate on Romans before I can be systematic in any way). At the crushing of his head, all spirits of death were defeated and the gates of death were opened, bringing life (which our God is) to the dead. Idk. There is more here and I need to contemplate this line some more because i can like physics feel this line in my chest for some reason.
“Jesus having risen from the grave as He foretold, hath bestowed on us eternal life, and great mercy!” KHESED!!!!!!! Mercy in the New Testament corresponds (sometimes and somewhat) to the word khesed in the Tanakh. Technically no word in any other language encapsulates everything khesed does which is why English has a million different words it translates it as, I chose “loyal love” because it is “covenantal sacrificial love that goes above and beyond the typical expectations of a relationship because of a covenantal relationship between two parties” and also some other stuff i cannot remember off the top of my head. The point is it’s one of my favored words (“Yahweh, Yahweh, a God… overflowing in loyal love and faithfulness) and I actually use it a lot irl lol.
Back to the quote “Jesus having risen from the grave as He foretold, hath bestowed on us eternal life, and great mercy!” I really like this. The foretelling, the eternal life, the khesed, it’s all fits together so perfectly. It is because of God’s loyal love to humanity that the life, death, and resurrection of the Christ was even t to begin with, and then it is through those that God’s loyal love has been gifted to us in eternal life.
“Let us purify our senses that we may behold Christ, who is like lightning, and shall clearly hear Him say "rejoice!", as we sing the song of victory!” I really love this as a conclusion. It’s like we’re Isaiah, brought into the Holy of Holies, made pure by having our sin purged away. And the lightning! Jesus eyes like lightning in the Revelation (which, is that a reference to something from the prophets or Daniel that I cannot remember? Maybe a psalm?). It’s actually something I’ve always loved as lightning symbolism is really dear to me. I am less familiar with Jewish and Greco-Roman lightning symbolism aside from pretty basic and obvious, power and royalty and divinity and might, stuff. What’s interesting here is that it is not the mouth that needs to be purified as in Isaiah, but it is the ears. Okay actually scratch that: behold means to see or observe (apparently, that is only in English; the Old English, as well as the Germanic language it maybe came from, does not mean to look or see but I think to like hold in one’s hands. The more you know). Okay so it is eyes and ears but still not mouth; and even then, the emphasis is really put on the ears imo: we must be pure so that we can “clearly hear Him say "rejoice!", as we sing the song of victory!” That is incredible. Our ears must be pure so we can hear him say “rejoice!” Fascinatingly, “rejoice!” is clearly NOT a command: it is an encouragement. He does not say rejoice so that we sing our song of victory; he says if as we sing our song of victory. It is celebratory and encouraging and… that really like shocked me for some reason. I need to contemplate this because clearly this is revealing some internal conception I have about God…
These are getting longer and longer lol.

This is your friendly reminder that the Proverbs 31 woman was actually amazing.
This woman ran a household and a business. Not her husband's business, her own. And apparently did extremely well at both those things. We know she was an excellent manager, because she saw to her servants' needs as well as her family's. We also know she was an excellent and successful entrepeneur who actively worked alongside her servants to make her business grow. We even know what kind of businesses she ran: She was a weaver and a vintner.
We know she's a weaver because the scriptures specifically describe her working with wool and flax, which is the raw material for linen, and turning it into fabric that she sells at a healthy profit and uses to clothe her entire household. From the NRSV-CE:
"[13] She seeks wool and flax, and works with willing hands."
"[19] She puts her hands to the distaff, and her hands hold the spindle."
"[21] She is not afraid for her household when it snows, for all her household are clothed in crimson. [22] She makes herself coverings; her clothing is fine linen and purple."
"[24] She makes linen garments and sells them; she supplies the merchant with sashes."
That last bit in verse 22 about purple is significant, because it's almost certainly talking about royal purple, which was the single most expensive dye in the ancient world. This is, unequivocally, a statement of wealth. Enormous wealth. She's not so much running a business as a business empire.
Again, this is specifically her business, not her husband's, as evidenced in the same verse that talks about her being a vintner. From the NRSV-CE again:
"[16] She considers a field and buys it; with the fruit of her hands she plants a vineyard."
Or, to spell it out explicitly, we'll quote the NIV (which I normally dislike for reasons):
"[16] She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard."
We also know that she's a good manager who works alongside her servants, rather than sitting back and requiring them to do the work for her. More to the point, she's the hardest worker in the business and at home, as evidenced in the verses above, and in verses 15, 17, and 25 (Again in the NRSV-CE):
"[15] She rises while it is still night and provides food for her household and tasks for her servant-girls."
"[17] She girds herself with strength, and makes her arms strong."
"[25] Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come."
Important sidenote: If the repeated emphasis on her strength is anything to go by, this lady was swole.
The Proverbs 31 woman is a subject that's been talked to death by Christians. Most of the time they downplay her feats and accomplishments, which is honestly a shame. It's my strong opinion that she deserves to be remembered as a legend. Also the modern Church could benefit from celebrating women's excellence in general. Christ is glorified when we honour His whole body, not just the parts we're comfortable with.
