So, a little bit about my most recent D&D character: Kimi Etsuko. She's a spirit from the lands of Kara-Tur, who's inhabiting the recently made corpse of my old D&D character in the campaign, Chien Jia, who was killed by a wave of the undead on a very narrow bridge. (It was a fight that pushed the session 1 1/2 hours longer then usual). What was most funny is that the possession didn't happen immediately, (cause, ya'know, I needed a week to make this new character), and cause I thought it would be funny to have my new character be rising from the dead in the middle of the night in a party with 2 clerics and a paladin. It actually went surprisingly well, all things considered. Overall she's a rather fun spirit, completely unhinged and not understanding how mortals work at all, and started off with a flawed understanding because her body is Cold and Stiff and Doesn't Move Right (it's a corpse ma'am. It's not working right.) Not only that, but her backstory involves her trying to steal the Gift of Foresight from one of the Nine Immortals during the Times of Troubles, failed, but still got cursed with visions of the next great cataclysm which will ravage Faerun: The Spellplauge (which is only like, 26-ish years after the Times of Troubles fun fact). She was originally a trickster spirit! Play pranks of people and steal intangible things! But now she's burdened with visions that terrified her so much that she's essentially gone straight and wants to try and figure out what they actually mean/what actually causes the Spell Plauge. These visions she shared with Chien, which was her driving motivation to go west, but the thing is Chien didn't really tell anyone else in the party about these visions, and this has kinda peeved Kimi. This has been a very fun character and i've only played her for one session so far. It's been very very fun.

1: The most musical is obviously Valory. She is a bard after all, and can play a handful of syringes instruments and has an absolutely angelic singing voice.
2: Ivan O'Dargen is next, also a bard, and although his musical skills are good, they aren't as good as Valory's. But he can play a rallying tune on the bagpipes to be heard for miles, so that must certainly be something to account for.
3: Lady Luella Ivy Grimm is next, having come from a noble household she definitely was taught many instruments, like piano, violin and vocals.
4: Katya Stautale is a good performer, although she has her limits for being a warforged. Honestly, most of her performance abilities likes with acrobatics, but she can still can preform.
5: Doctor Oliver Jacobson, the telekinesis mage, knows a few songs from his life. He mainly knows how to play the piano (and can even play more complex songs thanks to telekinesis) which he mainly learned during his college days.
6: Chien Jia knows some music, mainly from parts of her training, learning focus and rhythm, although she didn't focus on music past that time. 7: Lillith Rose has a pretty singing voice, or at least had. Multiple deaths and reanimation since have made her physical ability worse, but she still can put in the whole effort.
8: Niela Tu'uall is very young, and has potential to be a decent musician if pointed in the right direction, but for now she only has the skills of her voice, and some with the pipe.
9: Poetry Irebrass. Another very young character, although being raised by a wizard she has devoted her entire focus to being a powerful wizard, and has spared no time for music.
10: Grin Mason. She has no musical talent. She was specifically taught only to be a huntress of monsters, and barely understands emotions, let along music.
hi folks! hope everyone's days are going well - going to mix it up a bit and try a slightly different form of prompt, just list your main ocs/however many characters you want in the order that the prompt dictates!
Order your ocs by most to least musically skilled!
#these are only some of my characters#Valory Mason#Ivan O'Dargen#Lady Luella Ivy Grimm#Katya Stautale#Doctor Oliver Jacobson#Chien Jia#Lillith Rose#Niela Tu'uall#Poetry Irebrass#Grin Mason#(Grin has no relation to Valory)

Someday or One Day: The Movie

Someday or One Day: The Movie (2022, Taiwan)
Director: Tien Jen Huang
Writer: Chi Feng Chien
Mini-review:
When this movie was first announced I was both excited and terrified. I wanted to reunite with this incredible characters and story, but I was scared they would ruin the original drama, which is one of my favorite TV shows ever. In the end, the movie was neither amazing nor disastrous. I didn't hate it, but it could have been so much better. On the one hand, I loved seeing more of these characters. In a lot of ways, this story is basically fan service. I loved all the new interactions we got and the writer made some really fun choices when mixing up the characters. The main three actors did an incredible job, just like in the drama. It's fascinating how much detail they put into all the little mannerisms and gestures that differentiate the dual characters. And of course, their chemistry is still unforgettable.
However, there were things I didn't like at all. I'm very nitpicking when it comes to time travel/time loop shows and movies, and the original drama is one of the extremely few stories that have absolutely satisfied me in this regard. The whole thing is just so well thought out and perfectly executed. This movie... wasn't. IMHO, the movie's loops and time travel logic were really confusing and made very little sense. And the ending didn't fully convince me, either. Anyway, the fan service mostly makes up for the movie's very flawed internal logic, and I'm sure most fans of the drama will enjoy it a lot.

Chinese Mythology Stories (1983)
Director: Chen Lie Screenwriter: Yeung Wai-Man Starrring: Jin Chao-Chun / Chang Fu-Chien / Sun Jia-Lin / Yang Hsiung / Barry Chan / Wu Xue-Fen / Zeng Ya-Jun / Yeung Wai-Man / Wang De-Zhi / Chiang Kuang-Chao / Ko Hsiao-Pao Genre: Fantasy Country: Taiwan Language: Mandarin Date: 1983-05-31 Number of episodes: N/A Also known as: 中国神话故事 Type: Retelling
Summary:
Several folk legends from different dynasties are actually gathered together. Nezha, Jigong, Door God, Xu Xian, Bai Suzhen... Could it be that these characters are going to gather together to perform some kind of comedy?! Don't make blind guesses! They came together just to show some kind of "propaganda effect"; to promote the upcoming "Chinese Mythology Story"; these legendary characters will all bring out a touching Chinese mythology story. "Chinese Mythical Stories" is a unit theater that CTV will open at 1:00 pm on weekends. Currently, the recording of three unit stories of "Nezha", "Ji Gong" and "The Legend of White Snake" has been completed. It is scheduled to start on May 28 or Saturday. Launched on the 4th. Wang Weijiang went from the front to the back, and co-produced the "Chinese Mythology" unit theater with Wei Xin to realize an ideal, that is, to introduce various folk beliefs through the moving myths and stories circulated in our country's long history of thousands of years. In the creation of the protagonist's character, special emphasis is placed on his method of becoming an immortal and attaining enlightenment - inner cultivation and saving people and saving the world, in order to remind the audience that faith should not be turned into superstition. Such a theme has considerable social and educational significance. Wang Weijiang said that "Chinese Mythical Stories" is a social and educational program produced in the form of drama. It is quite difficult for the social education style and drama type to deeply move people's hearts; because this is equivalent to using the strengths of drama - the drama of twists and turns to make up for the shortcomings of social education - the rigid boring feeling; the "Chinese mythology story" The production is exploring such a new route. If successful, it will be a major breakthrough for TV programs. Judging from the production method of "Chinese Myth Stories", this "new line" that breaks the boundaries between drama and social education has great potential and great potential. The legendary mythical story, through DPE's latest TV effects machine, makes the picture show magical special effects, how fascinating it will be! Since it is a myth, it can perform special effects, and the scenes can be as magical and varied as possible.

Yu-Wen Wang, Chien-Lien Wu, and Kuei-Mei Yang in Eat Drink Man Woman (Ang Lee, 1994)
Cast: Sihung Lung, Yu-Wen Wang, Chien-Lien Wu, Kuei-Mei Yang, Sylvia Chang, Winston Chao, Chao-jung Chen, Chit-Man Chan, Yu Chen, Ah-Lei Gua. Screenplay: Ang Lee, James Schamus, Hui-Ling Wang. Cinematography: Jong Lin. Production design: Fu-Hsiung Lee. Film editing: Tim Squyres. Music: Mader.
Ang Lee's Oscars for directing Brokeback Mountain (2005) and Life of Pi (2012) suggest something of his versatility. But then, Lee's filmography is all over the map: Since he returned to the United States after starting his directing career in Taiwan, he has made a Jane Austen adaptation, Sense and Sensibility (1995); a story of family dysfunction in Connecticut, The Ice Storm (1997); a Civil War-era Western, Ride With the Devil (1999); a martial arts epic, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000); a comic-book movie, Hulk (2003); an erotic thriller, Lust, Caution (2007); a story set at the fabled 1969 rock festival, Taking Woodstock (2009); and an experiment using radically new film technology, Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk (2016). If it's possible to discern in that almost random collection of films the kind of personal vision that auteur theorists believe is essential to the greatness of a director, I don't see it. He began with a personal vision, however, in the films he made in Taiwan after receiving his MFA in film at NYU: a focus on the conflict between the traditional and the new in Asian culture. Eat Drink Man Woman is the third of these, after Pushing Hands (1992) and The Wedding Banquet (1993), in what has been called Lee's "Father Knows Best" trilogy. Sihung Lung, who played similar roles in the other two films, is Chu, master chef at a large hotel restaurant, a widower with three unmarried daughters. The oldest, Jia-Jien (Kuei-Mei Yang), is a schoolteacher who converted to Christianity after a failed love affair; the middle daughter, Jia-Chien (Chien-Lien Wu), is a workaholic airline executive in line for a promotion that will get her transferred to Amsterdam; the youngest, Jia-Ning (Yu-Wen Wang), is still in school and works part-time at a Wendy's, where she commiserates with a co-worker whose boyfriend is inattentive -- largely because he's fallen for Jia-Ning. They all gather regularly for a Sunday dinner prepared by their father in a bravura opening sequence that details the skill and technique with which the chef creates his classic dishes. But the dinner is something of an ordeal for the daughters, each of whom is preoccupied with her own love life, as well as being concerned about the health and future of their aging parent. It's a well-plotted film, written by Lee with Hui-Ling Wang and James Schamus, whom Lee met at film school and who became his frequent producer and co-writer. Tim Squyres is the film editor whose work shines in the opening food-preparation sequence and in the intercutting of the daughters' several stories, and the cinematography by Jong Lin gives us an effective traveling shot through the crowded kitchens of the hotel restaurant. But the movie stays on a superficial level when it comes to examining the lives of the Chu family, especially when you compare it to another family drama by a Taiwanese director, Edward Yang's Yi Yi (2000), whose characters have a depth lacking in Lee's film. With his versatility and technical prowess, Lee reminds me most of a classical Hollywood director like William Wyler, who gave us brightly polished entertainments as varied in tone and genre as Roman Holiday (1953), Ben-Hur (1959), and Funny Girl (1968), but without showing us anything of himself as an artist.

𝐡 𝐢 𝐬 𝐬 𝐭 𝐨 𝐫 𝐲 ;
𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐚;
𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞;
𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲;

Let’s go crazy on live - Episode 3
Last episode, Lin An An decided to accept You Yuan Le’s offer and become a live streamer. However, even though she got a make-over, she’s still the same shy girl inside and her first stream goes pretty bad as she can’t speak at all. How will she cope with her failure and how is she going to overcome her shyness?
Lin An An is pretty bummed about how she messed up her first live. However, she’s lucky to have Meili and Luosha to cheer on her again while they eat the three of them together.Right after that, Yuan Le comes to An An’s workplace to try out that experiment about complimenting a girl for 50 days which induces Meili to think they are in a relationship. But right after she leaves, she sees a post of Cindy at dinner and there’s definitely proof that she was eating with Yuan Le. Meili says he’s a cheater, but An An, even though she kind of looks depressed about it, says their are not in a relationship to begin with.
Yuan Le goes back to Ren Hao’s house and explains to him his plan of bringing positivity in the company. He wants everyone to praise each other instead of finding each other’s weaknesses. He calls it, the Sun project. Ren Hao is like... sorry but I can’t do that. And Yuan Le tries to train him to do it. And Renhao can only leave before being traumatized. Right the next morning, it’s turn for the rest of the employees to practice to give compliments and it seems than none of them is really able to do so.
Early morning, Yuan Le sends people to dress An An but she’s upset about it and wants him to take the clothes back. He doesn’t want to and ends up grabbing her, throwing her in his beautiful red car (I just love a red car, I don’t care the brand or whatever, I know nothing about that, but reeeeed) and he takes her away. She thinks he’s angry so she keeps apologizing to him and he feeds her candy not to hear her apologize anymore.
It’s Luosha’s first stream and she is wearing some clothes that... like it’s straps that she can untie and she ends up untying the wrong one when she receives an emperor’s gift from Tank. Ren Hao stops the stream and Luosha has to hide her bust if she doesn’t want her contract with Lang Direct to end.
Yuan Le brought Lin An An to the office. While they are taking the elevator, there are a lot of people and they end up being squeezed together at the end of the elevator. And then there’s this sweet moment when he grabs her by the waist and pulls her closer by making her step on his feet. One thing you must know about You Yuan Le is that his face always ends up being close to the face of others. He takes her in his office and makes her write down on a sheet of paper her strengths and weaknesses. But then she can only come up with one strength and lots of weaknesses. At the same time, Princess Leia is making a stream and some haters send really harsh comments to her. She feels really down when the stream, but Yuan Le cheers her up. And seeing how Leia is still going strong even when people say hateful things to her, An An wants to try again streaming, but Yuan Le says no to her. Not until she figured out as many strengths that there weaknesses on her list. And meanwhile, she will come as a trainee to the office and will observe how the other streamers do, what are their strengths, what are their weaknesses. All the other workers are wondering how come Yuan Le wants so much to keep An An around, are they dating? But she says she doesn’t know why.
An An already starts to study the habits of the streamers. You Yuan Le takes her out for dinner in a very chic restaurant, which makes An An uncomfortable (plus the fact she’s still wearing her pyjamas). But he tells it’s normal that she feels she doesn’t belong when it’s the first time she comes here. But when it’s been many times, then she would feel more comfortable. Then he shows herself in the window and tells her to look how pretty she is, to take the time and appreciate herself. He teaches her to say thank you when people compliment her instead of trying to decline. It was a very beautiful moment until Cindy barges in, really angry that he brought someone else to the restaurant. She pours water on An An and Cindy’s friend starts filming when Yuan Le tries to scold her. So he just takes An An away. An An tries to convince him to leave her and go calm down Cindy, she’s worried it would have a bad impact on the company. But he won’t go back, if she remains wet, she could catch a cold, she should also worry about herself. Well he doesn’t need to go back, Cindy comes and won’t let An An get in the car. Yuan Le gets unhappy, puts An An in the car tells her that if she has to be mad at someone, it has to be at him. So he takes a cup of coffee and tells her to spill it at him if it makes her happier. In the end, she doesn’t do it and leaves.
Next morning, it’s a new, more confidant An An going to work, everybody is so surprised!
Also, there is a new event in the company, they are going to make a contest to help their less famous streamers get more recognition. The contest excludes Cindy. Luosha gets in trouble again for exposing her breasts from the sides which makes Ren Hao pretty angry.
An An gets praised for the notes she takes on other people.
