Politics in the U.S. have shifted sooo much to the right that now there are only two competing political spectrums:

The far right drawing bills that would allow kids/ teenagers to work longer hours and perform some currently banned tasks, cutting taxes on the super rich (increasing them on the poor), criminalizing abortion (some states even want to implement the death sentence to women who have abortions), criminalizing trans people (by banning drag shows, or anything that 'sexualizes' children, without of course fobidding beauty competitions in little girls in bikinis), banning any books that talk about racism, trans people or homosexuality from schools, etc. There are people even talking about banning women's rights to vote.

Versus the center right, a.k.a. Democrats which are even more right than the CDU, which is Germany's center right party that widely endorses universal health care and many other social issues that the Democratic party rarely even talks about or would even dream in supporting ("Like why should I pay for other's peoples' wellbeing").

The center left, i.e. Bernie Sanders, is out of the panorama, since it is considered far left even by the Democrats in the U.S. of A. Bernie Sanders is by no means, a socialist. He'd be an average SPD member, which is Germany's current ruling center left party.

While the Evangelical right of the U.S. does not represent the majority, they have so much power, that they managed to succeed in drawing all these antisocial legislations. It's not only a democracy question, but the truly worrying thing is that they can be considered the Western Hemisphere's equivalent of the Taliban.

I heard an analysis on NPR about how a guy in New York was getting dropped from dates because of his politics - that he supported Trump. But not in a MAGA way, more for the policies. You can imagine New York and most women living there lean liberal - hence the clash and normalization of othering those in the local political minority - republicans/conservatives.

When he found a relationship that stuck, he was able to have deep conversations with his partner who was female and recognize the hurt that some conservative policies on social justice have.

We all care about the policies that affect ourselves the most, and care little about the policies that affect us the least (but obviously affect other people). It's a two way street. It's not all just superwealthy, it's medium businesses that are affected, and the reason it's matters to any American reading this is because they have a vote too. And if you dint consider it... well, look where we are. And this story launched before the election even happened, which was much more foretelling that what polls were expecting.

You can't have social justice without considering everyone. I think that's the error not only Harris's campaign made, but the entire political party made. It's been an underlying problem for years, and it's finally risen up it's ugly head. The wolf we tried to defeat was inside us all along. She tried to fight it (we're not moving back, we're moving forward/this is a campaign for everybody) but the damage had already been done over many years. And it gobbled up the votes of those extraneous people that didn't have a connection via being a conventionally excluded identity or knowing someone who is an excluded identity, and they formed their own anti identity to have something to belong to.

The people conventionally excluded (the left) isolated themselves. We were trying to win the war in the way they won the war, via force by numbers and sheer majority, but it's not gonna work cause we don't have majority. So the other thing we can do is give what we want to get. Start the invitation. Give respect to get respect. The same goes for them, but you are only in control of what you do.

The Youngest Elected Serving State Leader in 2024

The current Prime Minister of Iceland (Forsætisráðherra Íslands) since 21 December, 2024, Kristrún Frostadóttir, from the Social Democratic Alliance party (centre-left), is the youngest elected serving state leader per January 2025 at age 36. Hopefully their government will run smoothly and still get parliamentary support.

Here are some of my controversial beliefs as a center-left, dyed hair, they/them pronoun having, autistic, woke bitch:

Gender and sex are two different things and even when you’re trans, you’re still your biological sex. Example: A trans-women is a women but also male (because biological sex)

Kids under the age of 10 should not be able to make the decision to get a puberty blocker yet.

Not liking someone in a romantic/sexual way because they are trans is 1000% okay, because everyone has preferences.

Body positivity should be about bringing positivity to things you can’t control, height, acne, high metabolism, disability’s, low metabolism, etc. You should be happy in your own body but don’t promote unhealthy life styles, obesity, anorexia, etc.

Just fuck off! If it doesn’t hurt you then it doesn’t matter. Just ignore people and let them live life.

This post is simply my late-night cry from the heart.

I am Ukrainian. My people have been killed, plundered, and subjected to forced assimilation. This is a FACT: the destruction of the Zaporizhian Sich, the suppression of Ukrainian culture (the Valuev Circular, the Ems Ukaz), the imposition of the idea that Ukrainians are insignificant ("Little Russians" – "small Russians," while Russians called themselves "Great Russians"), the Executed Renaissance (read about the Slovo Building), the Holodomor (which was an act of genocide against the Ukrainian ethnic group: the Ukrainian population in Kuban was once around 900,000, but within a decade, it had been reduced to just about 1,500), and now, today's war. You don't know Russian, and I see how the Russian side of the internet constantly expresses its desire to destroy Ukrainians, "put them in their place," and then move on to other countries of Western civilization.

Ethnicity and nationality are DIFFERENT concepts. Nationality refers to a person's citizenship, whereas ethnicity is their CULTURAL IDENTITY. Ethnicity is not determined by genetics or ancestry, but only by (a) an individual’s self-identification and (b) recognition of that individual’s identity by other members of their ethnic group.

I am transgender. And gender is a scientific fact. Here, I am addressing both sides: the transgender people who accept this identity without even understanding what gender means in anthropology, and the transphobes who refuse to acknowledge any facts at all (will there ever be a transphobe who doesn’t ignore the existence of fa’afafine, hijras, or two-spirit people?). Gender is a SOCIAL ROLE, not biological sex. But when you are transgender, your biological sex does not disappear. It remains important in medical contexts, and being transgender does not erase the biological sex of your body!

I am a center-leftist. And I believe that every rational person must adhere to a political ideology that falls ONLY within the spectrum of "center-left – centrism – center-right" and understand that a stable future depends on the harmonious coexistence of political ideologies within this spectrum, such as social democracy, progressive liberalism, Christian socialism, liberalism, Christian democracy, radicalism (in the historical sense), economic liberalism, national liberalism, ordo-liberalism, etc. I sincerely believe that all far-left and far-right ideologies must be banned worldwide and their supporters treated as mentally ill due to the danger they pose to the functioning of society. This includes ideologies such as communism, anarcho-capitalism, Maoism, Trotskyism, Marxism-Leninism, left-wing anarchism, autonomism, ultra-left theory, fascism, national socialism, neo-fascism, ultra-right nationalism, monarchist ultra-conservatism, traditionalism, reactionary anarchism, and radical clericalism. Absolutely all far-left and far-right ideologies bring nothing but harm and suffering.

And yes. National conservatism is just fascism in a different outfit. If you allow national conservatives into your democratic government, you are taking the first steps toward turning your country into a fascist regime.

Religiosity is normal. Religion, first and foremost, is a set of ethics, morals, values, and rituals. I am absolutely fed up with all negative rhetoric toward religion. Let people pray in peace!

The so-called “woke” in media is NORMAL. Characters MUST be judged not by their ethnicity, orientation, or gender, but by how well they are written. Evaluating an actor based on their ethnic phenotype is disgusting, and every actor should be judged solely on their acting ability. Changing an established character’s ethnic phenotype, gender, or orientation is NORMAL. Again, what matters most is that the character is well-written and interesting. The only exception is documentary films, which must adhere to historical accuracy.

It doesn’t matter how much we all (democratic socialists, far leftists, liberals, center lefts, internet communists, apolitical people who just see how evil the right is, ANYONE ON THE SIDE OF HUMAN RIGHTS) hate each other, I don’t care. Just remember, “the enemy of my enemy is my friend”.

On a side note, the anonymity here makes way too damn many of you WAY too damn comfortable with flagrantly telling people to kill themselves over literally anything.

I don’t fucking care what your nuances are if you’re against fascism you’re with me even if you disagree with me on other things.

And we’re doing this together. Because at this point, we have to.

Band together, everyone. I don’t care if you’re center-left or far-left or a socialist or a social democrat or a “safety net” capitalist or whatever the fuck.

There is safety in community, and we need that community right now more than ever.

Threatening to dox each other or telling each other to unalive over one badly worded post or slightly bad take isn’t going to do us any good and it’s going to isolate us all more.

If you are against fascism, we are on the same side, at least for now.

We can argue nuance later. Today, we stay together to survive.
