Marvel Rivals Animated Series Concept

I know this sounds odd to say, but I legitimately want to see an animated series based on Marvel Rivals.

Like, this literally has all the makings to be adapted!

Plus, it would be pretty cool to see a Marvel video game being adapted into television, which has never been done before.

As for how it would play out.

Essentially, it follows the same plot as the video game, but a little more expanded.

Basically, after Doctor Doom and his 2099 variant caused the Timestream Entanglement, Doctor Strange and The Fantastic Four knew this would have disastrous consequences (given their experience with the multiverse)

It created new worlds out of old ones, which obviously cause pandemonium among the inhabitants.

With the existence now being known by….pretty much everyone in the multiverse, you know damn well that there's gonna be a lot of villains trying to use this knowledge for their own nefarious goals.

So, the five decided to recruit the heroes of their world to help keep the balance of this new universe intact and prevent any villains from making anything worse.

In terms of the art-style, it would essentially be the same as the game, but translated into 2D.

As for the animation, I can think of two studios that could do it.

Flying Bark Studios (Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Monkie Kid, Glitch Techs) and Titmouse (Motorcity, Black Dynamite, Ballmastrz 9009).

Also, in terms of the universe our heroes (except for Peni) are from, it's essentially like an ideal version of the 616 universe.

As in, the heroes have actually reached their proper conclusions that people have wanted for years, while still going on their adventures and being heroes.

-The X-Men have actually made progress with human-mutant relations and DIDN'T get genocide'd into oblivion. Nor are they on the verge of extinction every other goddamn week.

-Bruce Banner has finally made peace with The Hulk and is now able to control him. Plus, he's finally with Betty. Yeah, remember her?

And best of all….

-Spider-Man is HAPPILY MARRIED to Mary Jane and is a father now, along with being a goofy but still mature superhero instead of an emotional-stunned man child who gets cucked on a regular basis.

Two of the best elements I could think of for this series are…..

The interactions between the heroes. We've never really had a Marvel cartoon with a cast that big, so it would be cool to see this diverse cast of characters bouncing off each other.

Some of the interactions I could see include….

-Captain America and Namor being brothers-in-arm and often bonding about not quite understanding or even hating modern trends (and rightfully so in some cases).

-Storm and Thor being best friends.

-Iron Man and Peni being friendly rivals.

-Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch being the sorcerer buddies.

-Rocket and Magik being the resident partners in crime and agents of chaos.

-Hulk and Groot being buddies.

-Luna and Star-Lord geeking out over music together.

-Spider-Man being the absolute heart of this team and essentially being everyone's friend.

-Venom and Scarlet Witch flirting with each other (I was kinda split on this one. Originally, I was gonna have SW married to Vision. Since this universe, the Marvel characters actually allows stay in relationships. However, I really like the trend of shipping Venom and SW together. So I figured they'll be an item in this universe. Actually, what other new ships could you see in this universe?).

And best of all….

-Jeff being a good boy

2. The variants the heroes will meet. This would be the Kingdom Hearts of Marvel: you never know who you'll meet next. There would faces from all forms of Marvel media. From the comics, to the cartoons, to the video games, etc. And nobody's off the table. Anyone will get a chance to appear, no matter how beloved or hated they are. However, they will be treated accordingly depending on their reputation. There would also be a lot of original universes to this series as well, in order to help diversify things.

And finally for the voice cast, it's largely the same as the game but with a few exceptions.

Cap would be voiced again by Roger Craig Smith.

Storm would be voiced again by Danielle Nicolet.

Iron Man would be voiced again by Mick Wingert.

And Spidey would be voiced again by the one….the only…..Josh Keaton!

Anyway, that's all I have.

Rewrite The lost boys cartoon episode-Moonstruck

While hung out at the boardwalk with the boys, David noticed that almost everyone was being lovey dovey to each other and wished he could be that way with him. As the night progressed on the moon was whole and after that Michael begins to feel lovey dovey to the point where he actually acted lovely towards David! Will it be a dream come true or a nightmare for David and his lovesick lover boy!

I’m rewriting this idea,because the original version felt kind of off to me and I believe this one makes more sense. What do you guys think of this version of the idea?

The Adventures on Steamboat Willie cartoon ideas.

So steamboat willie has been in the public domain for a while now and what interesting this have people done with it, some bad horror movies and some bad horror games of course. Come on guys it's a version of mickey and minnie that we can do whatever we want with and you choose bad cliche horror stuff and NSFW art seriously!!! So here is my idea a steamboat willie cartoon where the characters are other public domain characters. In this post I will be going over the setting, characters, and Plot and if anyone wants to do anything with this like a comic or cartoon make sure to ask me for help and stuff or just credit me if ya make it.

Setting

So obviously the steamboat Willie cartoon will take place on, well steamboat willie. But I don't mean the entire setting is gonna be on a small dingy little steamboat, no I'm turning the Willie into a giant cruise ship (so I guess it would be the cruise ship Willie but steamboat Willie is more iconic so we're still gonna call it that). The cruise will have everything an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, a lounge, a play area, a gym, a 4 star cafeteria, an arcade, a movie room, a zoo, a trampoline room, a doll room, a bee room, an anvil room, a room just filled with boxes of bananas, a room with like one chair an that's it, and so much more!!! There will of course be episodes where they dock and get off the boat for the majority of the show they gonna be on that boat doin boat things, but since the steamboat Willie is technically living the boat would feel alive it would have a bunch of weird stuff and no 2 rooms would be the same. Anyway let's move on to the part I'm most excited to talk about, the characters.

The Characters

This is probably gonna be the longest part so strap in. Like I said the characters would be other public domain characters just changed to fit into this world, let's start off with the 3 main characters your gonna see every episode.

Michael J. Mouse aka Mickey-He is a cabin boy basically a janitor his job is to do the smaller messier jobs on the Willie stuff like swabbing the deck, cleaning the animals, getting diapers outta the pool, and of course peeling the potatoes (which is mainly just a form of punishment on the ship). Mickey is a very determined and headstrong young fellow he's got big dreams and won't let anyone get in his way, but he can also be a bit stubborn and his "consequences be damned" attitude gets him into a lot of trouble. Mickey dreams of one day becoming captain of the Steamboat Willie, he loves the ship and being out on the open sea. He also has a major crush on the new hire of the ship I wonder who she is.

Minerva Eliza Mouse (no relation to Mickey) aka Minnie-She's a new hire on the steamboat Willie, a housekeeping maid for the first couple episodes but eventually she'll become the pianist for the lounge. Minnie is a little shy and has a bit of a self confidence issue, she's been beaten down by the cruel hammer of life and she doesn't believe she'll ever achieve her dream. Minnie is very kind and giving but can be assertive and snarky when the situation calls for it also she is deceptively strong. As the series goes on she learns to believe in herself more and gain more confidence thanks to Mickey. Her dream is to become a famous musician, to create songs that people will love and will touch their hearts in a beautiful way. Very ambitious right but Mickey believes in her, although there is one person on the cruise that wants them both to give up their silly dreams.

Peter Pete Sr.-The grumpy captain of the ship and sort of the villain of the show. Pete inherited steamboat Willie from his father who he hates that got it from his father who he hates and so on. Pete cares more about the reputation of the steamboat willie than the people inside especially the employees, he's also incredibly greedy prioritizing guests with lots of money. Despite being grouchy and greedy Pete isn't all that bad, there are moments were he shows at least a little care to his employees and is genuinely a good father and husband. He's sort of like mr. Krabs and mr. Burns mixed together but a pinch more kind. Still he absolutely can't stand Mickey or Minnie and is usually the thorn in their side making it almost impossible for them to prove themselves, still neither give up which Pete can kind of respect.

Alright now that we're done with the main characters here are the staff of the Steamboat Willie.

Tinker bell & the lost boys-Tinker bell is the hostess for the huge lounge area on the Steamboat Wille as well as the lead singer for her band, the lost boys which does contain Peter pan and wendy on bass and violin respectively.

Winnie Pooh-The 3 star chef for the 4 star kitchen, he might be a little accident prone but he is a damn good chef and don't worry he brought his friends piglet, owl, Eeyore, and rabbit with him as his cooking crew.

Felix Tom-The ships mechanic a happy and silly fellow who at first doesn't great at his job. He has a small handbag that seems to have every tool in the world in it but it never really looks like he knows how to use them.

The Oz crew-This is the 4 wizard of Oz characters and what they do on the ship. Dorothy Gale and Toto are the other housekeepers that work on the ship and is Minnies best friend, Scarecrow is the marine biologist in charge of tours for their in house aquarium (why a cruise needs one of those no one knows) but doesn't seem to know anything about fish, Tin Man is the activities director but is basically a robot so has no idea what counts as fun, and the Cowardly Lion is the head lifeguard who is deathly afraid of water.

Hercules-The other lifeguard on the ship and Mickeys rival in love for Minnie. Kind of a himbo and would totally be voiced by Patrick Warburton.

Jenny Everywhere-Ship Doctor and Minnies rival in love for Mickey. Is a great doctor and kind to her patients but is also kind of a bitch. Also no one knows where she came from just kinda showed up one day on the cruise saying she was the doctor.

Buck Rogers-Cashier of one of the space themed restaurants on the ship and delivery boy. Super dramatic, thinks he's some awesome action hero.

Dorian Gray-The guy who wears the mascot suit for steamboat Willie, which is a giant smiling boat with legs. Dorian creeps everyone out and he always has this aura that makes it look like he's killed someone. But he is genuinely a nice guy you just have to get past the fact he somehow always smells like old seaweed.

Alright that's all the crew for the Steamboat Willie, or at least the ones I got ideas for. Now to end the character portion let's go over some of the passengers on the Steamboat Willie.

Geppetto & Penny-Geppetto is an old wood carver going on a vacation with his adopted daughter Penny (who is obviously a reworked version of Pinocchio). Geppetto is very overprotective of his daughter not letting her go anywhere or do anything without like 50 different things meant to keep her safe. Penny is a good kid but she lies to people a lot and is kind of prone to getting into trouble.

Sherlock holmes-a detective here on a vacation with his husband but can't help seeing everything as a mystery and being suspicious of everyone on board.

James bond-Sherlocks husband and retired agent. He used to be a suave ladies man, now he's a kind old man who wants to enjoy this cruise with his husband. Though his spy training sometimes comes out.

Dracula & Wilhelmina-One of those married couples who are always arguing and people always think why don't they just get a divorce. Dracula can be a little prissy when it comes to his comfort but Mina is pretty nice especially to kids but she's gotta bit of anger issues.

Arthur King-You want an obnoxious rich person, well look no further than Arthur king model and successful businessman (though not by his own skill), who came to the Willie for a vacation and to hit on cute girls. In short he is the worst kind of rich person.

Cathy & Nya-Yes these are indeed Cthulhu and Nyarlathotep and yes they still have tentacles. They're the obnoxious rich girls on the Willie looking to spot some cute guys and be incredibly rude to everyone working their always flaunting their cash and looks. Their sisters by the way.

Pulloff Boots-An old friend of Felix who has become a famous writer for his book Puss in Boots with a main character that is very obviously a self insert but everyone loves it so who cares.

Jack Frost-The whole joke with them is that no matter the weather wherever they are on the ship they are always cold but other than that pretty nice person to talk to when their teeth aren't chattering.

Hua Mulan-She was an introvert her whole life and never went anywhere fun for fear of well everything, but she has decided to step out of her comfort zone and go on a cruise. Let's just hope she actually does stuff on it instead of hiding in her room. Also has a huge crush on tinkerbell but don't tell anyone.

Merlin-Kind old man and Arthurs Grandfather, tries to help him do good but usually ends up having to apologize for all of arthurs shenanigans.

Grandma, Red, and Wolf Hood-Red and wolf are new step siblings and their grandma decided to bring them aboard the cruise to help them get along better. Wolf is a self proclaimed bad boy but the only bad thing about him is his style and Red looks like a a sweet little girl but she's actually kind of a nightmare child causing trouble for the hell of it. Still though they do love each other and their grandma.

Lemuel Gulliver-obsessed with finding adventure on the open sea wants this cruise to get into pirate fighting adventures and will stop at nothing to make it happen.

Tin Tin and Snowy-A very curious kid who's parents don't pay a lot of attention too so he's usually running around the cruise getting into mischief. He's also a good kid but when he tries to help out things usually get destroyed.

Victor & his big son Frankie-Victor is totally not an evil scientist and is totally not trying to take over the world and is certainly not trying to turn this cruise ship into his evil lair. His son Frankie doesn't talk much usually is on his phone but he is really big and really strong.

Captain Nemo-Not a passenger on the cruise but owns a rival cruise company called Twenty thousand leagues straight to fun!!! He seems at first like a nice and friendly guy making it look like the rivalry he and Pete have is more one sided, but it turns out he's probably even more competitive than Pete and vows to run the Steamboat Willie out of business.

Popeye & Olive-Popeye is a retired sea captain here with his wife Olive Oyl, he's kind of father figure to Mickey and Minnie giving out great advice even if he is a little hard to understand. Olive of course is the mother figure to them and a nice woman although she really can't seem to stop getting in danger.

Sandy Manna-She is really onto relaxation, which is good cause she is on a cruise. She also believes in third eye and chakra stuff, a little odd but great at calming people down.

Oswald Rabbit-He's a Rabbit.

Alright that's all the characters I got ideas for, now to end this post off let's talk about the plot which may be the shortest out of the 3.

Plot

Hop on the number 3 rated cruise ship in the world, the Steamboat Willie! From it's origins as a humble steamboat it has now grown to one of the biggest cruise ships in the world. Join Mickey and Minnie as they have a bunch of crazy adventures on the ship to try and impress captain Pete, but it always leads to trouble of course. But there's also dangerous rivals, crazy passengers, and monsters lurking in the deep can Mickey and Minnie prove they have what it takes to make it big while also dealing with their obvious feeling for one another we'll see. I imagine the rating for this show will probably be the same as like gravity falls something appropriate for kids and teens but got some adult jokes sprinkled in. Also this probably wouldn't be a very plot heavy show it'll be more in the vain of shows like spongebob or gumball where every episode something wacky and different happens and maybe a character learns a lesson or something.

Wrapping it up

There's just a bunch of interesting things we could be doing with steamboat willie that no one is doing. I just hope that one day someone can do something at least a little interesting with the now public domain Mickey and Minnie.

Idea: A cartoon where the art style makes the character and how the rest treat it like the circle head with no neck gets their head literally shaken by their friends when they need an Idea, a 3d character gets paper cuts when touching 2d characters.. is this just Gumball?

Animated TV series about an anthropomorphic brine shrimp who’s the only one still alive after their six-year-old owner stopped caring about the bugs in his tank and stopped feeding them.

Every episode is about him trying to give himself something to do to, at the start of the series it’s stuff like making grave markers for his loved ones, making an algae farm to feed himself, creating a rudimentary water filter to help clean what water he’s breathing. Kind of like The Martian.

By the end of the series he’s gone totally insane from the isolation, digging up the graves of his loved ones to make puppets out of their bones, starts making effigies of himself out of algae, painting on the tank walls with his blood, that kind of thing. More like Cast Away

Also throughout the series the background changes, it’s gradual so you don’t notice it episode-to-episode, but it changes from very nice clean surroundings to gradually getting dirtier and grittier as the tank goes uncleaned for a long time.

I've redesigned the Scooby Doo cast a little, not massive changes for Fred, both in design and personality he is still a himbo and rightfully so. Whilst my version of Velma still has a sarcastic side, she's much more of a wholesome nerd than a bitter one. Scooby is a good boi and the therapy dog of the gang. I'm torn on if my version of Scooby can talk, but he can 100% understand. Shaggy has anxiety and Scooby is his support dog, but he still has a fascination for supernatural rumours, a sort of love hate relationship. Daphne is the muscle of the gang, whilst Fred is the strongest, Daphne is the fighter and will defend her friends from anything. I like the idea that this version is set in collage, where the gang is at that point of self discovery and learning adulthood in their life. This reboot would have more mature themes but not needless swearing sex and violence for the sake of being edgy or shocking.

Thinking about Super Sonic Sisters and the fact that if Dic wanted a girl centric spin-off for the Sonic cartoons Amy Rose was LITERALLY RIGHT THERE (I mean it was pitched in 1993 so it could have been in production before Sonic Cd was even released in Japan but still) like what if Amy rose did get her own cartoon spin-off

Anyway my idea is that it would take place in the classic verse, and the home setting would be a little village on one of the islands from the classic games, (there would be visits to other islands to, tho) and it would be sort of a cozy slice-of-life show with Amy going around helping people out. I think the tone would be very 90s-2000s kids anime mixed with sonic-style adventures, and it would be a separate continuity like the other sonic cartoons (Sonic prime is loose canon imo)

Since it’s not the 90s anymore there’s a LOT we could pull from, such as pulling characters/concepts from other continuities, such as the modern continuity, such as adding cream the rabbit to be the tails to Amy’s sonic, and even make new interpretations/adaptations of classic games! Like a Sonic Cd adaptation where Cream and Tails are kidnapped by metal sonic, and Sonic and Amy have to collect the time stones with help from Silver, who would be a native of Little planet in this continuity (and we could finally have the SAVE THE FUTURE character in the story about SAVING THE FUTURE) or even an adaptation of a modern!classic game like Sonic Origins or Sonic Superstars!

I started to think a bit how I would imagine a new cartoony show for the X characters as its own alternate universe like what you did with Next Mutation and Family Values.

And the idea that came to mind was instead of full on reboot of the main well known X Men team, make a show focused on the New Mutants having Magneto as their leader and headmaster (inspired by the comics of the 80s)

The Animation would borrow from the Aesthetics of Batman Beyond, Static Shock and Teen Titans, but the character concept design would be based on the italian X Campus Comics

The students would be:

Xian Coy Manh (Karma)

Rahne Sinclair (Wolfsbane)

Dani Moonstar (Mirage)

Tabitha Smith (Boom Boom)

Amara Aquilla (Magma)

Ruth Aldine (Blindfold)

Roberto da Costa (Sunspot)

Sam Guthrie (Cannonball)

Doug Ramsey (Cypher)

David Haller Xavier (Legion)

Warlock

Lorna Dane would assist her father with the school.

Their human allies would be Dance Teacher Stevie Hunter and Sea Captain Lee Forrester (Magneto's Love Interest).

The main influence in narrative would be Super Sentai (and its american equivalent Power Rangers): Heroes wearing uniforms of unified design but of different colors, that not only practice martial arts but also pilot individual zords and a mega zord. What do you think?

The lost boys cartoon idea: episode-Rock-bye baby bats!

So the story goes with Max and Lucy *Finally* going on a date without interruption from the boys and things goes pretty smoothly for them they were getting along just fine, well~ too fine for Sam and starts to notice that they were getting closer to each other like max coming over to the house every night, giving Lucy flowers, flirting, etc etc etc.

And it makes Sam worry that they are going to be a couple soon, so in a panic he tells the others what’s going on and they laugh it off like it was nothing to worry about but when max and Lucy comes back from their date all smitten up a storm they over heard them talking about maybe trying to have children together!

Which makes all of them worried that max and Lucy are getting along like this they can’t imagine what’s life’s going to be like if they get along way too well! Max always wanted a BIG family after all! So it’s up to the boys to stop them from letting that happen!

Tell me what you guys think about this idea!

I need a break from my usual posts, so have this thought experiment instead

I'm curious as to why every time a cartoon chooses to focus on using either divine figure or mythological monsters as characters or a plot element, they choose either Greek/Roman, Chinese, Japanese, Norse, or Egyptian as if those stories haven't already been told via cartoon, movie, or comics hundreds of times already. Not that I dislike this is any way, but I'm wonder that why in an era where diversity and uniqueness are paramount in media, why has nobody picked up other pantheons of deities to make shows about?

How about a cartoon where two Irish siblings invoke a spell left to them by their grandmother that accidentally resurrects the demigod warrior Cu Chulainn? Now you have an ancient symbol of Irish culture trying to adjust to the modern era all whilst protecting two disfunction kids from the myriad of cryptids their spell also awakened.

Or how about a Haitian girl who lives in New Orleans striking a deal with a god in order to impress the guy she loves? After she pays back her debt in full, she finds out that, since mortals have been historically terrible at paying off debts while alive, her soul has already been auctioned off to an unknown spirit. You now have a teenager searching the spirit realms with Baron Samedi and Maman Brigette for the Lwa who holds her contract.

How about a Hawaiian native teenager who finds out he is the demigod son of Pele? Cool as this sounds, his aunt Nāmaka does not allow him to leave the island and constantly sends monsters from the sea after him thinking he will wake up his mother and destroy the island. Demigod teen ends up caught in the middle of a centuries long family feud and has to piece his godly family back together.

What about a Māori girl who discovers she is the descendant of Kupe? When a plague ravages her home, she is forced to repeat Kupe's grand voyage, taking her to all matter of mystical and magical islands in order to find the cure.

Or what about a teenage girl from India who, while reciting the Ramayana, brings Rama and Hanuman to life in her hometown? She now helps Rama and Hanuman search for lady Sita and fight off Ravana's armies who are searching for her as well.

If I made my own Felix The Cat cartoon, I’d love to add old comedians from the 1920s n 30s n such, in the background or something or as a thing Felix could mess with. Especially Charlie Chaplin, as I know Charlie Chaplin was featured in a Felix cartoon

If anyone makes a cartoon about an armadillo with a pet/friend woodlouse that both just curl up into balls, roll around, and cause general mayhem and destruction in the world together, I would watch the shit out of that.

Oh yea, never told you about a dream I made two month ago. 

Basically Nitendo gave a female equivalent to Waluigi, her name was *drum rolls* Gabriella. She wasn’t related to him or anything despite their ressemblance. Gabriella was exclusive to a cartoon show staring the Mario brothers with Waluigi as a reccuring antagonist. I don’t remember a lot of the dream, but it was similar to Phineas and Ferb where Waluigi basically had a  Doofenshmirtz role. 

Gabriella was a fearsone real estate agent and there was a running gag where everytimes she assess a house, there was Waluigi in it. He was homeless. So there was somekind of rivalry between them because of it. There still was point where they manage to work together. Waluigi being an inventor and all. The kind of guy who was able to MacGyver any trash he came across into a very elaborate weapon. 

Oh and apparently there was a sad backstory to Gabriella where she lost her pet goldfish in the ocean and it somehow survived? And became huge like a whale. At one point, she convince Waluigi to use his talent to help her save the goldfish and clean up the ocean pollution. Very wholesome dream overall.  Just remembered a scene where basically Gabriella went into an abandonned house to see if she could sell it at a good price and all. Then she just encounter Waluigi with a cup of coffee in hand. She was so confused and just asked “how” then Waluigi just shrugged and said that there was still electricity despite the house being abandonned for years. Then he asked if she wanted some. Gabriella was so done and just leaved.
