NEW YORK -- ESPN, Disney Branded Television and the National Hockey League (NHL®) are once again teaming up to bring fans the second "NHL Big City Greens Classic," a live, animated NHL game telecast featuring the Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Boston Bruins on March 9 at 3 p.m. ET. Last year’s “NHL Big City Greens Classic” featuring the Washington Capitals vs. New York Rangers was the first-of-its-kind live volumetric animation presentation.
The alternate presentation of the Penguins-Bruins game will feature real-time virtually recreated animation of NHL players and teams modeled after characters on Disney Channel’s hit animated series “Big City Greens.” ESPN+, Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney+ will present the live, animated telecast, while the traditional telecast will be available on ABC and ESPN+.
The alternate presentation will once again leverage tracking technology to recreate the action on the ice as it is happening while featuring “Big City Greens” characters skating alongside animated versions of the NHL players. Highlights for this year’s animated telecast:
• The presentation will blend two types of tracking technologies – NHL EDGE positional data (NHL Puck and Player tracking) and Hawk-Eye Innovations optical tracking – to create more dynamic player and character movement to help fans better visualize detailed limb and stick movement and mannerisms. • With the blessing of captains Brad Marchand and Sidney Crosby, “Big City Greens’” very own Gramma will coach the Bruins, while her grandson, Cricket, will coach the Penguins. • The ESPN commentators calling the action on the animated telecast – Drew Carter, Kevin Weekes and Arda Öcal – will wear virtual reality headsets for motion capture, to immerse them in the animated environment of Times Circle. • “Big City Greens” voice talent will also be featured in the presentation, including creator and executive producer Chris Houghton (Cricket), Marieve Herington (Tilly), Zeno Robinson (Remy), Artemis Pebdani (Gramma) and creator and executive producer Shane Houghton (various characters). • The two intermissions of the game will feature an animated skills competition between the “Big City Greens” characters.
The real-time animation will be produced in association with ESPN Edge Innovation Center and NHL EDGE Innovation partner Beyond Sports. Outside the U.S., the “NHL Big City Greens Classic” will be available on Disney+ in select countries.

1800® Tequila, the world’s most awarded tequila brand, launches a new transformative campaign that celebrates the best taste in tequila and in life. The campaign is directed by filmmaker and photographer Ricky Saiz and features 10-time NBA All-Star and entrepreneur Carmelo Anthony and award-winning global Latin superstar Ozuna, who come together as the brand’s newest tastemakers.
The campaign consists of a collection of cinematic style films directed by visual storyteller Ricky Saiz, who was previously at the helm of music videos for Beyoncé, including Beyoncé: Yoncé and The Carters: Apeshit. Each campaign storyline centers around the brand’s ultra-premium expression, 1800 Cristalino, as the catalyst that transforms everyday moments into tasteful next-level experiences across music, sports and art.
Barbershop: The first spot takes place in a barber shop starring global Latin superstar Ozuna. He patiently waits in a styling chair as his hairdresser pours him a glass of 1800 Cristalino. Capturing the attention of everyone in the salon, Ozuna spins around in his chair with a glass of 1800 Cristalino in hand and a grin on his face. The shop ambience immediately levels up to a party with customers and hairdressers raising a glass to celebrate the best in taste.
Courtside 1800: The second spot stars 10-time NBA All-Star and entrepreneur Carmelo Anthony, sitting courtside and enjoying a basketball game. Carmelo nods to the sideline waiter for a neat serving of the brand’s ultra-premium expression, 1800 Cristalino. The eye-catching crystal bottle draws in the attention of the arena. As Carmelo reaches for a glass, his team makes the winning shot into a crystallized basketball hoop. He commemorates the victorious moment with a toast with friends around him.
Created by 72andSunny, this is the brand’s first campaign produced by the agency since their appointment as creative agency of 1800 Tequila in 2022.

EZRA BELOVED TELL ME ABOUT BLOOM LATER
Certainly!
So this is a Hanihaki au I've had sitting for awhile. It's JarHart, angst, not quite near death, but rather ending up on LTIR because he tried to push through playing with flowers in his lungs.
I am of the school that uses the state/providence flower of the beloved so in this case: Pacific Dogwood (Cornus nuttallii) shall be used since it is Carter being afflicted.
I am still debating if it started when they were passing ships in the night in the WHL as they shared two seasons together (13/14 and 14/15) [See Tristan; compared with Carter], as a minor infatuation and grew into something when Carter made it onto NHL ice. Fun fact, as far as I can tell they weren't ever in net against each other in the WHL? Either way I get to stare at AHL sheets later trying to figure out the vibes.
I think most of it will be set during either this season or last (worst case I shove them in the bubble and do manipulations of the time line).
This is not gonna parallel Carter's "lactose intolerance" which was later found out to be too much bio steel (thanks @tapejob for that information), as much as I want to.
Oh! Title from this song:
which may or may not have influence on the plot...
“April is the cruelest month, breeding
Lilacs out of the dead land, mixing
Memory and desire, stirring
Dull roots with spring rain.”
-The Waste Land by T.S. Eliot

Black Panther's Fashion Designer, Carter, Makes History at Oscars
By Jemimah Chungu
Ruth E. Carter, the fashion designer for the "Black Panther" movie, made history at the 95th Academy Awards by becoming the first Black woman to win two Oscars. She won the Best Costume Design award for "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever," the sequel to the first "Black Panther" movie, which also earned her an Oscar in 2018. The ceremony was held on March 13, 2023, at the Dolby Theatre™ at Hollywood and Highland Center® in Hollywood.
Carter's achievement was celebrated on social media, with Marvel Studios, the producers of "Black Panther," congratulating her in a tweet. They praised her for her contribution to the movie's success, saying, "Congratulations to Ruth E. Carter for her Academy Award win for Best Costume Design for Marvel Studios' Black Panther: #WakandaForever! #Oscars95."
As the lead costume designer for "Black Panther," Carter played a crucial role in creating the visuals for the fictional African country of Wakanda, blending Afrofuturistic fashion with superhero elements, as is typical of Marvel Studios' productions.
In her acceptance speech, Carter paid tribute to her mother, Mabel Carter, who had passed away the previous week. She asked Chadwick Boseman, the star of "Black Panther," to take care of her mother, saying, "This is for my mother. She was 101. This film prepared me for this moment. Chadwick, please take care of mom."
Carter also spoke about her close relationship with her mother, saying, "I had a great relationship with her in her final years. The same relationship I always had with her. I was her ride-or-die. I was her road dog. I was her sidekick. I know she's proud of me. I know that she wanted this for me as much as I wanted it for myself."
Boseman, who played the lead role of T'Challa in the first Black Panther movie died of cancer at age 43 in 2020.

Legendary Fantasy Artist Frank Frazetta’s Epic Work “The Berserker” Available Worldwide on Epiphone.com
For 150 years, Epiphone has been a leading innovator in instrument design. By leveraging its iconic past and leaning into the future, Epiphone has now set the stage for the next era of sound for present and future generations. Epiphone is proud announce the long-awaited Adam Jones and Epiphone partnership has now arrived with the release of the Epiphone Adam Jones Les Paul Custom Art Collection. This unprecedented, limited-edition collection blends Adam’s love of fine art and music, resulting in seven, iconic and unique Les Paul Custom Silverburst masterpieces which feature the artwork of five distinguished visual artists curated by Adam Jones of TOOL. The Epiphone Adam Jones Les Paul Custom Art Collection is now available worldwide at authorized Epiphone dealers and on www.epiphone.com.
The second model to debut in the Adam Jones Les Paul Custom Art Collection is Frank Frazetta’s “The Berserker.” Known as the Godfather of fantasy art, acclaimed artist Frank Frazetta was an illustrator of comic books, movie posters and paperback book covers whose visions helped define fantasy heroes like Conan, Tarzan, John Carter of Mars, and more. This guitar displays Frank Frazetta’s masterpiece, “Berserker” on the back of the guitar, artwork on the rear headstock is designed by world-renowned artist Korin Faught. The artwork “Berserker,” also known as “Conan The Conqueror,” was painted by Frazetta in 1968, for the cover of the Conan The Conqueror paperback novel by author Robert E. Howard. The original artwork is currently owned by Kirk Hammett of Metallica and Conan® is a registered trademark of Conan Properties International LLC.
Frank Frazetta was born in Brooklyn on February 9, 1928, and as a boy studied art at the Brooklyn Academy of Fine Arts. He began drawing for comic books of all stripes--westerns, mysteries, fantasies--when he was still a teenager. He was also a good enough baseball player to try out for the New York Giants. Frazetta was a versatile and prolific comic book artist who, in the 1940s and ’50s, drew for comic strips like Al Capp’s “Lil’ Abner” and comic books like “Famous Funnies,” for which he contributed a series of covers depicting the futuristic adventurer, Buck Rogers. Explore the artwork of Frank Frazetta, HERE.
"My exposure to Frank Frazetta began early in my life. There’s something about his artwork that has spoken to me for as long as I can remember,” says Adam Jones. “When I was very young, I would save money to buy his adult comic art and pulp novel covers without my parents’ knowledge, sneaking them into the house undetected. To this day, as I work on my own projects, I’m transported back to those moments of discovery and influence. Frank’s technical prowess is unmatched in his genre (I’m such a proud nerd…) and he continues to be one of my heroes.
When Cesar at Gibson and I discussed a line of fine art-enhanced guitars, I hoped we would get permission to use one of Frank’s images, and I am so grateful to his estate for allowing us to use ‘Berserker’ on this Epiphone Les Paul."
“I was 13 years old when I first heard the TOOL song ‘Schism,’ it immediately resonated with me on a spiritual level and I’ve been a fan ever since,” adds Sara Frazetta, Granddaughter of Frank Frazetta. “To collaborate with Adam Jones and my Grandfather’s artwork on this gorgeous new Epiphone Art Collection of guitars has been amazing and seeing the guitars, it’s clear Frazetta’s art was destined for guitars.”
Watch the video for the Epiphone Adam Jones Les Paul Custom Art Collection, HERE, and explore the collection HERE.
The Adam Jones Les Paul Custom Art Collection: Frank Frazetta’s “The Berserker” isn’t just an art piece to hang on the wall; it’s an exceptional instrument for players to craft their own masterpiece. The Epiphone Adam Jones Les Paul Custom Art Collection has a bound mahogany body with a maple cap, a three-piece bound maple neck with an Adam Jones Custom profile, and an ebony fretboard. It is equipped with a reverse-mounted Epiphone ProBucker™ Custom humbucker™ in the neck position and a Seymour Duncan® Distortion in the bridge; both are wired to CTS® potentiometers and Orange Drop® capacitors. A Marquee Back Plate with Frank Frazetta’s name and the title of the artwork, “The Berserker” is also included. The guitar is finished in Antique Silverburst as an homage to Adam’s beloved original Silverbust 1979 Gibson® Les Paul Custom, a Protector hardshell case is also included.
The Epiphone Adam Jones Art Collection consists of seven, Silverburst Les Paul™ Custom models, each featuring reproductions of different works of fine art on the back. Adam curated all of the featured artwork, and selected five distinguished artists Mark Ryden, Frank Frazetta, Julie Heffernan, Korin Faught, and Ernst Fuchs for the collection; additional artwork designed by world-renowned artist Korin Faught, adorns the back of the headstock of each model. Only 800 guitars of each model from this unprecedented, extremely limited edition run will be produced.
One of the rock’s most talented and sonically innovative guitarists, Adam Jones is renowned as the guitarist for the band TOOL, as well as his work as a visual artist, sculptor, videographer, producer, and special effects designer (Jurassic Park, Terminator 2, Edward Scissorhands, Ghostbusters II, Batman Returns, A Nightmare on Elm Street 3, 4 and 5, Dances with Wolves, Bride of the Re-Animator, Pet Sematary, Shocker, and License To Kill).
