man’s insanity is heaven’s sense
Tumblr media
All that most maddens and torments; all that stirs up the lees of things; all truth with malice in it; all that cracks the sinews and cakes the brain; all the subtle demonisms of life and thought; all evil, to crazy Ahab, were visibly personified, and made practically assailable in Moby Dick. He piled upon the whale’s white hump the sum of all the general rage and hate felt by his whole race from Adam down; and then, as if his chest had been a mortar, he burst his hot heart’s shell upon it. -Herman Melville

Appreciate that 2022 and 2023 are the years of Brendan Fraser, Ke Huy Quan and Michelle Yeoh.
Growing up I loved Brendan Fraser so much, that man was in so many movie I adored and the world doesn't deserve him after the way he was treated but he is still there moving forward and finally being recognized by his talent.
Data was always my favorite character form the Goonies and watched the movie so many times just for him, seeing that kid crying tears of joy cause the representation in cinema has gotten better (it still can be improved) to the point he was able to come back to acting and people recognize how he nails his performances is beautiful.
And the legend that is Michelle Yeoh, her face is in so many of my favorite films and is honestly one of my favorite actresses of all time. Can't say how happy I am that she is finally getting the love and recognition she is owed ❤️
I'm normally the person that says that we shouldn't idolize movie starts, but sometimes we can make exceptions.
