Time Machines by Carol Cunningham

The TARDIS? A DeLorean? How about an excellent phone booth? Well, none of those machines are the subject of today's Miniature Monday post. No, this mini book is about clocks and other machines used to tell time!

Created in 1996, this gorgeous little book measures in at around 72 mm x 64 mm. The case that it resides in is a bit bigger at about 92 mm x 70 mm. It was written, designed, and printed letterpress on Shadowmould paper at Sunflower Press. The typeface is Tekton, and the University of Iowa owns copy 11/25!

There's also the very lovely banana for scale, and fret not my conservation-minded friends, the banana is plastic!

Carol’s smirk broadened and she knocked her foot against Chrissy’s knee. “I could get behind that.”

————— Or: Chrissy was content in her relationship with Jason, or at least that's what she told herself. Enter: Carol Perkins. When Jason drops the bomb that he's taking a job over seas and wants her to move with him, Chrissy leans into her new friendship with Carol and delays giving him an answer for as long as she can. However, the lines begin to blur in Chrissy's heart the longer their friendship goes on. A classic tale of 'right person, wrong time' that eventually ends in right person, right time.
