Blurb- Canada's mutant premier superhero team, Alpha Flight, powered on the dangerous mutant drug Banshee attack the Xhavier's school. After an easy defeat Jean-Paul finds himself trapped on a plane with the dangerous group. It's clear they still care but this world pushes many heroes to do things they never thought they would.

There’s a sheen of sweat glistening off Jean-Paul's forehead as he sits on the jet’s cold flooring, his knees pulled up to his chest, his chin resting upon them. His sister, Aurora, kneels beside him, one hand clutching his shoulder. His shirt moving with each frantic beat of his heart. The sweat and racing heart weren’t caused by exhaustion. He’d still been trembling behind the X-Men, feet glued to the ground when his sister had scooped him into the air. The rest of the X-men hadn’t put up much of a fight either, letting Alpha Flight knock them around like a cat would a mouse.

Guilt swirls around James’ stomach watching his younger teammate look so defeated. He had never wanted things to come to this, stealing one of his own people from the X-Men, and using a drug like Banshee to power his team. He had always believed that mutants deserved to live on their own terms, without interference from humans. But desperate times called for desperate measures, and James knew that Department H had poured too much funding into Northstar to let him leave their programme. Either Alpha Flight had to retrieve him or someone else would.

In the background, James can hear the humming of the engine as the jet rises, half-drowned out by Jubilee and Snowbird’s tiresome bickering. Soon they’ll be sailing over the vast landscape of Canada, far enough away to avoid any possible retaliation from the X-men.

Jean Paul’s sat quietly, not a single word escaping his lips. He looks pitiful, his dark hair dishevelled, caged in between James, his sister and the rest of the team. Still, he’s leaning into Aurora’s hand on his shoulder, James is glad to see even betrayal can’t shatter their sibling bond. Hopefully, it’s a relationship they can call upon in the future if he needs persuading their way.

"How’s your brother, Aurora?" James asks.

"He's ready to go North," Aurora replied stiffly, her eyes never leaving her brother's form, conflict plastering her face. Shuffling forward, syringe in hand she continues, "Let me just give him a little something to help him settle."

James drops to their level, gently holding Jean-Paul down, although the mutant wasn't struggling. In fact, he pliantly allows his arm to be manipulated, till the crook of his elbow is laid bare. His eyes turn away as the needle slips into his skin. With his increased metabolism the drug would make him drowsy but still conscious.

Holding him, James notices goosebumps have risen up on his arms. Which makes sense, the jet’s always cold and whilst the rest of the team are protected by their suits Jean-Paul is dressed like a civilian. One out for a summer's day walk with shorts and beaten-up trainers on. So far the team had avoided calling him Northstar, for right now Jean-Paul looked as much like Northstar as the day looked like the night.

When the body in his arms relaxes, tense muscles uncoiling, James finds himself comforting, ‘’We'll do everything we can to make sure you're comfortable. Alpha Flight needs your powers to save lives, but we’re not going to hurt you. I promise." Jean Paul's eyes glaze over, drooping half closed but they’re aimed at Hudson as he speaks. ‘’We’re going to protect all mutants. Mutants like Piotr.‘’

‘’Don’t use his name. Not after what you just did to them.’’

James is grateful he still has some fire left. ‘’None of the X-men were hurt. We gave them the chance to hand you over.’’

‘’Why me? All of the mutants around now and you decide to come after me.’’

‘’We’ve got our reasons. We’ll explain when we get you back to Department H.’’ From behind him Aurora enters James' field of vision. Quietly she pulls Jean-Paul's arms in front of him, securing them there as James locks the cuffs on. They were designed by Department H years ago, the type that straps his arms together, rendering the captive immobile. They’re connected to a collar, injecting a liquified power dampener every twenty minutes, Jean-Paul winces as the first jab hits him. Maybe it was overkill, James thought. They could overpower him easily, especially with banshee coursing through their veins. But James didn't want to take any chances. Northstar was a valuable asset, and they couldn't risk losing him.

Sighing James wraps a blanket around his thin frame, tugging it up as it slips down. "Rest easy, my friend," James says, rubbing Northstar's shoulder gently. "Everything is going to work out. I promise." Taking a last glance at their captive James gets back onto his feet, and makes his way to the front of the plane. Lives were at stake, and Alpha Flight needed recruits. Nothing could stop them from saving the world and their kind, even if it meant they would have to chip away at themselves to do what needed to be done.

Ultimate Enemy in DP in DC world

Okay so, I think we can all concede that logically in an au where danny phantom takes place within the dc universe, Ultimate Enemy's bad timeline would not happen. Like, Dan would not be able to take over the world, even with Vlad's ghost half helping him.

(though i do really like the takes of how that would happen, even if i don't ultimately agree with the end result. It's a fun story and a great opportunity for angst.)

But! I have an idea! I propose that the dark danny timeline would be in line with the evil teen titans timeline. The one with cloned Bart and Kon, champion of Ares Cassie, and, of course, batman with a gun Tim.

No, not just because I recently finished reading the 2003 run of teen titans.

(actually that's the major reason, yeah. it was a pretty good comic and i think it'd be cool if other people read it too)

But because I think it'd be interesting if it was a East titans vs west titans vs some ghost taking over the midwest and a majority of canada.

(does dc have any canadian heroes? I bet they do, but I've just never heard of any...)

And!! As a bonus!! Danny in the future would've probably gotten into a tussle or smth with the titans, which might lead to an uneasiness working with the present version of them. If he recognizes them. Like, Kon and Cassie I could see him knowing, Bart was on the good side iirc, but Tim?? No, no, he had a mask! A very distinct mask.

Anyway, what I'm trying to get at is that Danny totally thinks Batman snaps one day.

Today's beast is a family of raccoons. She looks kind to me, but tired. Who could blame her, raccoon kits are probably exhausting to keep safe and healthy. We're proud of you, raccoon mommas.

Spokesperson for Platonic Valzhang here asking your opinion on Leo and Frank’s friendship and what are your headcanons for them?

I love the weird kinda frenemies thing that Leo and Frank have going on, it’s like romeo and juliet but they’re just bros.

My personal favorite headcanon I have made for them is that they play minecraft together RELIGIOUSLY, Frank mines while Leo builds (Leo always forgets to put stone around the fireplace. He has burnt down several wooden houses. They have to make them out of stone now.)

They say that they only talk to eachother because Hazel wants them to get along, but in secret they’re gaming with each other until 4 in the morning by choice.

I know they had a rough start, but I enjoy their friendship and really wish there was more of it!!!

I found your "lesson" in NHL history regarding Ovi and Sid very interesting.

Isn't something similar happening to Kucherov right now? I'm quite new to hockey and he isn't playing for a team I like or a devision I pay a lot of attention to, but I have the feeling he never gets mentioned by media in a way that would fit his merrit. Nate, McDavid, Draisaitl etc all are way more feautured than him - or is that just me? (Also no idea where he stands politically and If that is a driver here or if there's a scandal I know nothing about etc)

but yeah i think kuch is a great example! i don't follow the lightning SUPER closely so i can't get into the weeds on it but it's always seemed to me that he hasn't quite gotten the attention he deserves outside of tampa. and like members of the media don't seem to be as wildly, openly disdainful as they were with younger ovi but still. obviously everyone in hockey knows kuch is good and he gets some attention for it but for as long as stamkos was in tampa it was always going to be the stamkos show (no shade to stammer, he is also very good and has been for a long time. like i remember how feral everyone got in 2012 when he was approaching 60 goals, that was awesome), but it's like, man, kuch had a HUNDRED AND FORTY-FOUR POINTS last season. 144!! that's insane! how are you not putting him on all of your cereal boxes!

that being said the nhl as a market entity doesn't really give a shit what its players politcs are and it barely gives a shit about ~scandals so if any of that was relevant to kuch (which i... don't think it is? but like i said, i don't pay close attention to tbl, and i don't feel like googling it while i'm donig tumblr time theft) i don't think it would have much if any impact on marketing decisions. it's very much more about playing into narratives it wants to push and thinks its audiences will gobble up, and when your (assumption of your) audience is mainly canadian/usamerican white people with a shit ton of xenophobia baked into their culture and a lot of the decisions are being made by people in that demographic......... well..............

honestly i’d be freaking terrified of all of them. they’re all terrifying and any of them are valid choices.

but for me personally, percy. without a doubt. and here’s why

reyna, i’d be terrified, but i also feel like she wouldn’t waste any more of her time on me than she needs to. she’s got shit to do. she might slam me against a wall and call me some roman insult, maybe break my wrist or something, but i’ll live.

annabeth is very scary, but she also is a logical and level headed person. if she knew i didn’t mean to do whatever she’s mad about, she’s not gonna judo flip me or stab me. i think more than anything i’d just feel really bad about myself cause she’d lay it on thick about how stupid i’d been. but i def wouldn’t go anywhere near her anytime soon

nico is very powerful and very creepy scary, but he gets worked up so easily. and then never handles it well himself. i’m kinda just used to seeing him mad to be hoenst. he also gets drained so easily, it would take a LOT of his energy to do something really bad. so he’s probably by 2nd biggest worry, but i know hurting me would hurt him too, so he’d think carefully about it.

jason i’m not that scared of tbh. not becasue he’s not powerful, but becasue it usually takes a lot for him to actually, like, do something worth being terrified. he’s calm and level headed. he has to build up to deadly-level actions, it doesn’t just happen.

percy jackson however… he’s too powerful for his own good. he’s the most powerful AND the least in control of his power. the worst mix possible.

first off, we know his “however bad you are, i’m worse” wolf glare is terrifying. when percy glared at leo in MoA, leo was shaking, and said percy’s look felt the same as when jason summoned lighting.

let that sink in.

a single look from percy feels just as dangerous as the son of zeus summoning an ear-piercing, earth shaking lightning bolt. like… HELLO?? i’d throw up and pass out the second he glared at me.

but also, when percy’s mad, water reacts before he does. toilets explode, geysers shoot up out of nowhere, oceans and lakes form 100 foot tall deadly waves, hurricanes dominate, need i go on?that’s not even including the most brutal stuff he’s done. and the most terrifying part: he does a lot of this without even thinking. they are all aquatic and earthly reactions to his emotions. there’s a certain uncontrolled brutality to percy that none of the others possess. the sea cannot be controlled.

so if the others are mad, yes i am very, very scared about what any of them might do on purpose. but with percy, i am most scared of him because he’s an untamable powerhouse, and his emotions unchecked might kill me on accident.
