I recall saying this before, but it bears repeating:
There could be a billion trans people in the world and it still wouldn't be a bad thing because being trans is not a bad thing. Even if the rate of people discovering they are trans is "disproportionate" to trends from decades ago, that is not a bad thing. In fact, it's a natural consequence for there being more trans people being able to stay alive, and, overall, being able to live in a slightly more tolerant world. You'd only see that as a bad thing if you actively didn't want trans people to either live or live a life that facilitates wellness.
#trans#transgender#lgbt#lgbtq#ftm#mtf#nonbinary#like even with there being more OPEN AND OUT trans people there are still more cis people by volume#even in my high school with three trans girls and three trans guys (including me) and a few NB people...#...there were still a THOUSAND cis kids going to school with us. imagine complaining when cis people are still 'dominant'#i don't know what my secondary school's population is because it's a big campus so you can deal with high school stats lol#like thank gd we are beginning to live in a world where the trans population CAN grow#i want there to be more trans people. because trans people will continue to be trans#we will continue being trans no matter what laws you put into place. no matter how dangerous you make the world for us...#...we will continue to be trans whether or not you approve. and that's fucking beautiful. i want us to live. i want us to eat well.#i want us to not worry about anything in this world. and that's going to happen one day. it will happen just like the sun rises each morning#if that is a threat to you then that is your own fault - your own self-destructive and sad thoughts about people and our world#and that is not my burden to carry - i have my own.

my mom recently reminded me that when i was in 5th grade my teacher would periodically report to her that i was "sneaky" because i would ask to use the bathroom during class and instead go retrieve things from my locker that i had forgotten to bring with me
and even at the time she thought this was ridiculous and obviously not representative of an intrinsically deceitful nature, fortunately for me. but it's really extra ridiculous looking back on it now as a 28-year-old research professional who has to double back into the room i just left for some combination of gloves, tube rack, ice bucket, or samples at least once a day, a quality absolutely no one cares about or would ever make me justify to another person and which i therefore don't have to tell contrived lies about
#i did eventually develop more capacity to check for an essential list of items before going somewhere less accessible#e.g. if i am going to teach or to a meeting across campus i don't like. forget my laptop#but something that's down the hallway??? for a non-time-bounded activity?#i am probably never going to develop the capacity to have 100% of those things every time i go somewhere and it just. doesn't matter.#my school was less weird about this stuff than a lot of places i hear about and most teachers would e.g. enter negotiations about a way#for me to hand things in that i would actually consistently remember was happening and could show up to. so usually i was fine.#but it just made it more notable that this person thought i was like. an inveterate liar. because i wanted to go get the 1 notebook i forgo#out of the six books and notebooks i was supposed to be carrying around that day#without getting publicly scolded for being too disorganized to adapt to future life stages.#box opener

chat i am NOT appreciating the stares i got from walking across campus to cvs in my hoodie and sweatpants as if we didn’t just sit through ANOTHER hurricane like chill man i didn’t sleep well let me get my monster to finish my logic homework in peace 😭

Strongberry/Matchbox keeps making a push for Choco Milk Shake on socials, still think they are gearing up for an announcement this second semester, it feels natural to have the new season now, while the second season of Blossom Campus premieres next year.
But I do wonder how much the lukewarm reception of Blossom Campus affected them, even the director himself acknowledged the situation ー I did a brutal review of it, decided to deleted it, because if I don't have anything good to say, better not say anything at all.
One interesting thing about Strongberry is that they are quite clever with their releases: Happy Ending which premiered earlier this year was in fact shot almost back-to-back with Choco Milk Shake, but they kept it on hold until a good release window appeared.

Weird intense sertraline dreams are super real side effect.
#zoloft#sertraline#i just took a nap from like 9pm-ish to 11pm#i had a dream with a whole bunch of youtubers in it and i have no clue why#i think i made up like half of them just from names i've heard while others were people i either still watch or just used to watch#and there were LEVELS to this dream that i didn't even fully realize until like 30 minutes after waking up#like one youtuber was being called by another name yet they still had drama with another who was there#and it took me remembering the dream to realize that that drama was somewhat real but the different name made me not notice at first#it was WEIRD. also at one point i was living in like a campus or something but there were different climates like every 20 feet#like snow but also multiple pools and a weird like rollercoaster but you walk/slide in it... this is vaguely still coming back to me#also a weird sauna i was in then someone helped me out of it#and LITERALLY as if i was playing the sims i felt my consciousness almost like press buttons to change the POV#and the 'camera' left my eyes and moved to the outside of the sauna so i watched the person carry my sleeping body out#and i'm just NOW remembering that part and being like... what... i mean i literally intentionally changed the camera controls of my dream#guys i am hennaing my hair i was supposed to rinse it out at like 10:30ish but slept through that so i've had it in for an extra hour#which is fine. i like the more intense color. but i've been slowly remembering bits and pieces of this dream#for the last 45 minutes and it's so weird i need to somewhat document it#because it was like 4 different plotlines and the youtuber one was only one of them and the campus thing was another#oh my god i just remembered clark baxtresser from starkid was in the campus part and he was singing and i was like chasing him#through the rollercoaster (or maybe just sliding behind him?) and singing along and i think i dreamt that part due to VHS Christmas Carol#that JUST came back to me. that was such a weird aspect. i think i thought it was weird even in the moment.#i haven't remembered most of the weird sertraline dreams so i'm glad i put down bits of this one

it has come to me in a vision (Lila using phone AAC app to write her essays when she goes to college)
#N posts stuff#i don’t know if we ever get confirmation what Year this was set it but i’m giving her a smartphone Anyway#the argument could be made that a phone sized keyboard would be accessible to her#but i think she’s still small enough that the manual effort of using the entire keyboard would still be like#exhaustively disproportionate. so i think the AAC app and being able to click whole words instead of having to type letter by letter#is a way more accessible option for her and also i think it’s cute#i want to know how she navigates a college campus tho. maybe she has an aide that is like#a human classmate that carries her places. i’m interested in dissecting the like#unfortunately very standard college campus inaccessibility as relating to a stoat. does Lila struggle with staircases#in buildings where there aren’t elevators? how accessible are the elevators when she can’t reach the buttons?#how long does it take her to navigate from building to building? is lack of ramps a consistent problem for her too?#ANYWAY i think she puts little stickers on her phone and carries it around in a little backpack#i think sometimes she uses it as an actual communication device also bc she gets really bad disorganized speech when she’s overwhelmed#like canonically. so i think they gave her the phone as a keyboard replacement and then she uses it for other stuff#she Could also dictate i guess but i think the aac is better just bc the like. slower and having to select out full words would be easier th#than trying to sort out her thoughts verbally when again she struggles with that a lot.#d20: stupendous stoats#dimension 20
