For some reason lately I've started thinking about beta!Wally and ordinary Wally.... I make headcannons and think about the difference between these two, even though they have the same appearance 🤨🤨🤨🥄 (my first attempts to draw a beta!Wally. two versions, because I'm undecided)

AND THEN HOWDY, BECAUSE I ADORE HIM..... YEAH (I'm still thinking about what I want him to look like in my artstyle—)

My parents bought their 4 bed 3.5 bath house 32 years ago for $145,000 (originally $200,000). This summer a similar house a block away (similar age, 4 bed 3.5 bath, slightly smaller lot) went up for $800,000. It's since been reduced to $650,000 and they put some more work into it, but it's still on the market. I know interest and investment and overall cost of living raise prices, but that just seems like highway robbery to me.

So, my new 'apartment' has no kitchen.
This is obviously not something I would have chosen, but it's what was available within a reasonable distance from work.
I've bought a steamer/rice cooker and an induction ...whatchamacallit... a plug-in stove burner basically. I need to get a table for counter space and then I'm good to go, washing dishes and stuff in the bathroom is okay.
Anyway. The point of this post is: I'm a boring cook anyway so this isn't a big deal to me. HOWEVER I do want to be *a little* less boring. One thing I realized at my last place is that ever since I moved out of my parents' house I've had a very limited spice cupboard. No wonder my meals get boring, I have like. Two possible flavors I can give them.
So I have a request: recommend me a seasoning!

I will preface this by saying that I am doing better now and am no longer in any immediate danger, but a few days ago I was in genuinely a sort of dangerous place where I was barely eating any food and what I was eating wasn't always staying down. Nausea meds and cannabis have helped a lot with that, but in the early days, the doc was threatening me with the emergency room if I couldn't keep more fluids in me.
I think I really must have seemed extremely sick because my parents, who love me dearly, were kind of at the point where any time anything sounded remotely good to me, they were like YES, WE HAVE THAT and they would get it for me.
So I would ask for couscous at 3 am (because we all go to bed stupid late here) and be sitting in bed like a tiny imperious princess and my beloved father would be like

and anyway I might've gone mad with power, a bit.
Like he straight-up made me cornbread earlier. :')

Prompt 17 - Equality
@wolfstarmicrofic August 17, word count 789
Previous part First Jegulus part
Sirius was just coming into the kitchen with a stack of dirty plates when he heard a rumble from the top of the stairs that led up to the flat above. Regulus came hurtling down them at speed. He didn’t even spot Sirius in his haste to be out of the place.
“Where are you off to in such a hurry?” He called after him.
“James,” Regulus called over his shoulder as he shot out of the door, letting it slam shut behind him.
“Barbecue tonight, don’t be late. Remind James, please,” He heard Remus shout from the front after his brother. Sirius chuckled to himself as he deposited the plates in the dishwasher and went back to wipe the tables down properly.
Sirius was in a good mood again today, even his regulars were commenting on it. The rat phone case man seemed a bit put out and Sirius slipped him an extra almond croissant onto his plate.
“Don’t tell Remus,” He winked conspiratorially at the man before walking to the next table to take their order.
By the afternoon, he was whistling Changes by David Bowie to himself while he got to work making ten cheese toasties for his various customers. He’d just finished serving the final one when a huge square van wobbled onto the kerb, nearly taking out their A board and stopping beside the side door. “Remus, I’m just going to check on this,” He called over to him. Remus leant over his counter for a better view.
“That’s Arthur's truck. It must be Regulus’s furniture,” Remus said, recognising the driver as he got down from the cab.
“Hey Arthur, how’s it going?” Sirius asked, propping open the side door. “Is this for Regulus?”
“Hey, Sirius,” Arthur beamed at him. “I didn’t realise I was bringing this to you. Er, let me check. Yes, Mr Regulus Black. Oh, Regulus, as in your brother Regulus,” Arthur clicked his tongue at himself. “Right, better start unloading or Molly will be after me, I’ve got six more deliveries to do across London before I get to go home,” Sirius let him get on. His eyes widened at the amount of furniture being unloaded onto the footpath by Arthur and one of the Prewett twins. He couldn't tell which.
“Did you buy the whole shop or something?” He asked, snorting out a laugh when James and Regulus finally sauntered into view.
“Something like that,” Regulus grinned. Sirius couldn’t help but return the grin, his brother looked so happy. He insisted on helping James carry the heavy items up the stairs. It took forever to get it all up there. Luckily, the café was pretty quiet after the lunch rush and Remus had told him to take his time and he’d call him if he needed him. He was doing the crossword any way.
“Right my work here is done, the rest is up to you,” Sirius laughed as he went back down to the café. They could hear the faint thuds of new furniture being moved around and Regulus’s bossy voice telling James what to do.
“Should we tell him the floors are thin?” Remus mused after they heard Regulus very clearly tell James off for putting his bookcase on the wrong wall, as he filled in the papers crossword.
“Probably, but later, it sounds stressful up there,” Sirius picked up Remus’s hand and kissed his knuckles. “I love you, you know,” He smiled lovingly at Remus. Remus pecked a kiss on his lips.
“I love you too. Now go start tidying up. I want to be out of here as soon as possible so we can get the food set up.
“Yes, my love. Oh, and seven down is equality, you got six across wrong,” Sirius battered his eyelashes at his boyfriend after correcting Remus’s cross wording, something Remus hated with a passion. He walked backwards towards the kitchen, blowing kisses the entire time, hoping to placate him, but he’d never have finished it if Sirius hadn’t stepped in.
After he’d ushered the last customer out and stacked the chairs on the tables, ready to mop the floors in the morning before they opened and taken the day’s rubbish out to the big bin in the alley behind the café, Sirius went to the bottom of the stairs and called up. “Oi, you two, if you’re shagging, stop and get down here, it’s barbecue time!” He could hear the groans from upstairs as his brother and best friend made their way to the door and Remus’s snorting laughter from the café. He couldn’t wait to get home and spend a few hours relaxing in the garden, without having to worry about getting up early in the morning.
