saiki: probably doesnt use labels but if he ever did, biromantic and a-spec. which i honestly think is as "canon" as it could possibly be without directly saying it. hes implied to be feeling SOMETHING towards teruhashi close to the end and is at the very least attracted to her, and he definitely has a crush on satou and outright puts them in a who-likes-who chart. he had no reason to include himself in the love triangle chart if he wasnt involved in it 😭 i dont at all think asou was trying to write a bi-ace character and im aware him liking satou is a gag, but gags are generally canon in saiki k or at least have some lore behind them. i might even say that hes some form of demiromantic ? definitely lines up with his feelings for teruhashi, and i know he doesnt know satou well but hes literally a psychic so "knowing" a person is a lot different for him so i doubt you could describe his sexuality so simply. and these two are the only people he ever shows any romantic interest in AT ALL.

teruhashi: bisexual, also probably as canon as it could be without being canon 😭 she definitely does love saiki towards the end, shown pretty obviously by her expressing she would rather be with him even when hes just sitting there (canonically what he always does) than be with someone rich or talkative. she was also so clearly attracted to aiura, argue with the wall. saiki is her first and only actual crush and before that she literally pictured herself just marrying some rich guy she didnt care about, so i would argue she was probably dealing with some form of comphet although its still mostly because she couldnt picture herself truly opening up to anyone yet

akechi: queer, and i picture him going into long rants about why specific labels dont fit him but he probably knows a lot about them. we get no evidence of his sexuality other than his attraction to teruhashi (which we do know for a fact depends on sexuality because anyone who is canonically or presumably not attracted to girls does not show attraction to her even if they do have a short reaction)

aiura: bi, no gender preference. she was definitely also attracted to teruhashi and does not once point out anything about her gender so im just assuming she doesnt care. also barely reacts when mera implies shes going to have sex with her and just says "looking forward to it"???

kaido: straight but i could see him being flexible, maybe bi with a heavy preference for girls. in canon he obviously sees girls as potential partners and does not see guys as such (see: second half of chapter 232)

like okay. the entire pack and probably theo himself think that hes responsible for her death, but the pack hates him and doesnt trust him for valid reasons and theo is traumatized and holds guilt over her death so hes probably convinced himself that he did kill her. i just dont believe thats true.

in s5b when hes with stiles in the tunnels (i forgot why they're down there but whatever) and stiles tells him "oh yeah, the guy that killed his own sister when he was nine?" and theo argues back "yeah. i was nine. i had no idea what was going on." and that he also still believed santa exists so obviously he believed the dread doctors when they told him she wanted him to have his heart.

first of all: this is s5b. hes long dropped his act and he has no reason to lie in this moment. he knows that stiles wont fall for his lies and hes stopped lying and transitioned into threatening and intimidating anyway. theres no good reason for theo to lie to stiles here: theres no actual benefit that would come from that.

and his behavior points towards him telling the truth. instead of deflecting or making a joke, or any of the stuff he usually does to get his way, he starts explaining and defending himself. he seems almost agitated that stiles claims that he did kill tara and argues why he didnt.

and ofc stiles doesnt believe him and tells him "i think you pushed her. i think you liked it." which is, sorry, utter bullshit. i understand why stiles says this (yk. theo killed his bffie and all that) but i think stiles is purposely turning everything that he knows about theo into something evil. he doesnt want to believe that theo was a victim of his circumstances, because that would make him human, that would explain why he became the person that he is. its easier to fall back onto the "hes just purely evil" argument, because then he can hate theo for what he did.

stiles is smart. thats his whole thing. thats his whole thing with theo, that he was "smart enough not to trust him" as theo says to the sheriff in s6a. stiles knows that theo was a child, that its likely that theo got manipulated and groomed by the dread doctors. but, i think, he decides not to care about that, to ignore that. he hates theo and he wants to hate theo, but if he starts looking at the reasons for why he did what he did, he'll begin to understand him. and while he'll still never forgive theo, that will reduce this fury he has for him because, newsflash, theo was a CHILD.

people argue that tw doesnt show us enough of his back story to back this up and yeah, i kinda agree. we dont get enough of his story because teen wolf ALWAYS does this. with every character. they insinuate something, they start something interesting that could give their characters depth and then they abandon it and its like the characters just forget about it. all this show has is small details for fans to focus on if you want to analyze anything, because this show is objectively not good enough to actually do that.

+ theo is a side character. he wasnt even meant to stay as long as he did and cody did his best to work with the material. if your argument is that theres missing context and only vaguely shown stuff, im sorry but thats so stupid. thats not a good argument for in canon. "oh but we never see theo do this or that" HES A SIDE CHARACTER. he wasnt even supposed to come back! and tw is not a very good show! obviously they added more depth to his character in s6 because cody came back. like yeah theres stuff that doesnt make sense (like the show saying he didnt have a heart condition), because his back story got added as an afterthought in s6. you cant only look at s5 and judge his character based on that. his depth comes from s6 and its not the characters fault that the show has bad writing.

ive made a couple posts about balerion and viserys before, and i got another one in the works in my drafts. like im obviously biased but theyre one of my favorite dragon-rider bonds, even though they were only together for a year.

jorah in the main series says at one point that targaryen dragons were bred for war, and in war they died. balerion being the last of the valyria-born dragons probably has this instinct better than most. he takes aegon i as his rider because aegon is a conqueror, and is going to use him for the purpose he was born for.

the aegon i -> maegor line i think is pretty easy to understand. just like aegon i, maegor is also a conqueror. balerion sees in him that same war-instinct that he saw in aegon i, that he himself has.

maegor -> aerea is where things start to shift. balerion is an old war machine, but his last two riders died outside of war and away from him. aegon i from a stroke, maegor was eaten by the iron throne. hes made his lair on his not-quite-home dragonstone, when this upset little girl who misses the excitement of her life at court climbs on his back and tells him to take her home. i think balerion was fairly homesick at this point and thought “*i* want to go home too.” so he takes them home. back to his home. except balerion doesnt know that his home as been destroyed while he was gone. he spends those years with aerea *searching* for anything, any sign that the valyria that he remembers is still there. but theres nothing. its doomed and filled with monsters now. aerea spends the whole time begging him to take her back home, back to her mother. its only after hes injured and aerea is deathly ill that hes forced to accept that this is no longer their home. theres nothing here for them anymore, they dont belong here anymore than he belongs in westeros. so balerion reluctantly takes aerea back. maybe theres something they can do to save her, or failing that, at least shell be able to die in her home even if he cant die in his. after this balerion becomes the first dragon chained in the dragonpit.

finally, aerea -> viserys. i think viserys felt fairly alienated from the rest of his family, as he was so different from any of the other men he was related to. but he was raised to idolize old valyria (or at least the targaryens version of it) and feels that if he can claim balerion, if the last living aspect of valyria accepted him, well that means theres *something* targaryen in him. balerion was the living god of the thing he was raised to worship. when alyssa wanted to claim balerion, the dragonkeepers dissuaded her by telling her hes old and slow now, and wouldnt she rather a younger more energetic mount? i wonder if they tried the same thing with viserys, but viserys wouldnt care about that. thats not why viserys wanted balerion. all viserys wanted was balerions acceptance. balerion is very old now, old and tired and in pain. hes a war machine that can no longer fight, a dragon that can barely fly. but hes still holding on. he cant die yet. viserys is very different from balerions other riders, and i think that was the point. balerion could tell viserys didnt want anything from him, other than *him*. so balerion accepted viserys as he was, and viserys accepts balerion as he is. balerion gives viserys his final flight and thats enough for him. more than that even, after their first and last flight viserys tells baelon he wanted to fly to dragonstone but was worried that balerion wouldnt survive the flight. he was *worried for balerion*, worried about *his* health and safety and comfort. when has he had another rider care about him like that? (when has any dragon tbh...) viserys doesnt want to put more on balerion than he can handle. whatever balerion can offer him is enough. all viserys wanted was his love, and he got that. so he loves and comforts balerion in his final days. balerion doesnt have a home anymore, but viserys gives him one inside himself. he loves balerion enough to let him go. to let balerion finally lay down and rest.

Otto manages in some way to ''delude'' himself into thinking that Alicent would have wanted to marry her best friends's father ,become his queen and have his (male) heirs ,all of it while shes an anxious teenage girl who suffers from dermatillomania .Which is weird because Alicent clearly looks uncomfortable as he asks her to see Viserys .Actually ,the second time we see her asking her if she will see him she looks angry

In this scene Otto also asks her why she's biting her nails in such an obsessive way ,and he outright says that he doesnt understand why she is doing it ,after all why would she do it if she is the most comely lady of the realm?.

Otto doesnt realize that Alicent is anxious not only because she is like that by nature ,but because he's putting her in a difficult position ,not caring about her desires at all .And he thinks ,in a pretty sexist way ,that her being the most comely lady of the realm is a enough reason to make her stop .And what is worse is that when he said that he didnt do it out of malice ,he genuinely thought it that way with no intention of harm.He was probably encouraging her to stop of her own good.

That doesnt mean he is above weaponinzing things against Alicent ,such as her sexuality and her mother's memory .And ,horrific enough ,these two things go hand in hand i the first scene we see them alone

Her sexuality is a weapon for him because Otto can strictly control it and he is the one who will decide who she can share said sexuality with .Her mother's memory is a weapon because Alicent's mother was very dear to her .He straight up tells her to wear one of her mother's dressed ,one that is very bold for that matter.

Otto's also uses her mother's memory again in ep 9 (''you look so much like your mother in certain lights''),as he is desperately trying to get back into her good graces once its clear she is the one in charge between the two.She doesnt give in this time.

A thing about Otto and Alicent's dynamic is that ,not only he genuinely believes that he is doing something good for her ,there is a specific reason on why he completely misunderstands Alicent.

And i think the line ''Our heart are one'' explains it perfectly.

Otto cant see Alicent outside her daughterhood ,he cant understand that she has a mind of her own .Thats why he gets so baffled when she speaks her mind and her plans do not align with his (ep 3 ,ep 4 ,ep 5 ,ep9).And (dont you dare think im blaming her im explaining his pov)Alicent always strives to be dutiful and sacrificial at all costs ,so obviously she obeys her dad (the man who has a lot of power over her in a fantasy medieval setting).And she also loves him and doesnt wanna disappoint him !.And so Otto gets used to the fact that ,even as a 35 adult woman with lots of experiences ,she will always obey him and their plans and ideas will always align .

Alicent is essentially a character who lost her sense of personhood because as a teenager she is put in situations where she is forced to serve and to always take care of others ,who take advantage of her dutiful persona ,and she never actually gets used to the idea that her feelings and desires matter .

And Otto is the first one who takes advantage of that ,he is the one who used her ''a piece to move across the board''.And that shapes her .

Now that doesnt mean he doesnt care for her ,he does love her in his own way.

But that doesnt change he still fails her .

they yoinked it from somebodys mind while trying to come up with names for themeself. who the person was referring to or why, they dont know nor care about. he hasnt taken a secondary look into what it meant. theyve always considered their real spoken name to be spot anyway, after his regene name. caine grew on him once people started tying more significance to it, but spot will always be more him. thats the name he first gave ortega (before realizing thats not a normal name and panicking), and thats the name ortega still calls them. he misses seeing his signed regene name though, thats his actual name (to himself at least).

Cyrus:

im ngl, i originally wrote out a completely different answer for him and was going to go with that before coming up with this one and realizing its way more true to him. so! cyrus got help with his name from anathema. i might draw this out as a comic one day, but basically, cyrus admitted to anathema he didnt like his name. anathema already had suspicions he was trans by this point, but cyrus officially came out to him when he picked up on anathemas suspicions and realized it was a good cover story for not having a name. they spent a while going back and forth on names, and eventually picked one he liked. cyrus knows the meaning behind it, anathema actually nicknamed him sunny because of it. he had a keychain of a crocheted sun on his person too when he was acting as a civilian (hes probably been caught with it as a hero multiple times when the emergency was too urgent to change). pre-heartbreak, having a name people cared enough to call on made him feel at home. post, though, it feels like a scab people wont leave alone.

fun fact about this, ortega actually saw her face Before finding out her name. she already had a name in mind (i mean, obviously she was going to tell them eventually, thats a given), but since there was No way ortega was going to leave her alone about it after that, she figured she might as well take the chance to fuck with him. she had him guessing names for about a week before relenting. theres no Real meaning behind it as far as she or i know, its just a common enough name that she likes the sound of. as for what she feels about her name, she likes it a lot. its something uniquely hers that she got to pick out, and she still got to keep it after heartbreak. she likes it a lot better than her regene name, thats for sure.

Being as realistic as possible, the short answer is yes, but its really hard to tell without seeing any of the male perspectives which is a huge flaw in regards to every single pairing in Boruto

In Naruto we had Naruto, Obito, Jiraiya, Dan, Minato, Yahiko, several male characters with their perspectives and feelings shown for their love interests, requited and unrequited, it was not all one sided where only the female casts had romantic interests.

This is where Boruto falls massively short in regards to the romance, it gives the illusion of 'development' for BoruSara lets say by having Sarada completely and utterly obsessed with him, wearin his clothes, and not even caring about her friends feelings next to her because shes so fixated on a guy

This is the 'illusion' of development, because on the surface thats a win right? I mean no WAY shes not inlove with this boy right? no WAY their not endgame after all this right? sadly thats not how this goes

For you see, lets use a canon ship for example, SS, it was very one sided in the beginning with Sakura loving Sasuke but him clearly not reciprocating her feelings, but over time, as they spent more time together as a team, we see Sasuke's feelings towards her start to shift in a more positive direction, that he isnt entirely put off by her advances as he once was, that her love and care was starting to be reciprocated, maybe not in the romantic sense yet, but he loved and cared for her enough to be willing to die for her and Naruto to escape alive, and even in Shippuden there was several signs during the war that Sakura's feelings still impacted him, even if he couldnt accept them for obvious reasons at that point, you could tell her feelings still had an impact on him and that he acknowledged them, which is why he gave her such an awful vision to knock her out in the hopes that she would finally let go of him for good, just as Sasuke was hoping Naruto would let go of him after the final fight, but neither of them did.

Finally at the end of it all, the only one Sasuke apologized to and showed remorse for his actions was Sakura [Naruto is self explanatory I dont need to mention him] and then when he left he shared his most cherished gesture from his brother with her and promised he'd see her when hes back.

In this case Sakura's feelings got the most spotlight obviously because her feelings were already set in stone, Sasuke's feelings still had to be explored and developed which over the course of the series they were.

Compare that to BoruSara, we get all this insight on Sarada and her feelings right? now tell me, where do we get insight on Boruto's feelings towards her?

Here is Boruto when hes literally about to die in an assisted suicide and these are his last words

"Im sorry dad, give my best to mom and Hima"

He doesnt think about Sarada at all, despite this being the last time he'll ever be alive to see them, hes prepared to die, he WANTS to die so he DOESNT hurt the ppl he cares about, so for his final moments he has a chance to leave behind a dying message for everyone he loves and yet the only ppl he mentions is his family, he does NOT think about Sarada, but if you had put Sarada in Borutos place you best believe she would've mentioned him before letting Kawaki off her.

This isnt a one time thing, even earlier in the series, this is literally JUST after he promised Sarada he would be her right hand man and support her, after he JUST told Tento how he wants to be an amazing Shinobi that supports the Hokage, the very first mission their assigned after that, he throws a fit and when Sarada comes to try and talk him into coming he literally refuses and just tells Mitsuki to go with her.

What makes him change his mind? Mitsuki blackmailing him that if he doesnt go then he wont either and just let Sarada face danger alone, he then REMINDS him of HIS own promise that wasnt even that long ago that he made it, which LITERALLY catches Boruto by surprise like he had forgot, which he most likely did if Mitsuki is having to bring it up to him to call him out.

But notice how just bringing up his promise to Sarada wasnt enough, he was surprised, but not moved, it wasnt until he mentioned HIS MOTHER AND SISTER that he struck a nerve and Boruto gave in, he did not budge for Sarada, but he did for his family.

Even with this reminder about his promise I want you to think, when has Boruto ever once thought about it? seriously think, where has he thought about the promise he made to Sarada at any point? compare it to Naruto's promise of a lifetime, he thought about it and brought it up several times, but Boruto? not even a thought in his mind.

Ppl like to claim the times Boruto 'protects' Sarada is him acting on his promise but that could not be any further from the truth because this is something he did even before the promise.

It has nothing to do with his promise, he protects her because thats his friend, if shes in danger he'll protect her, if Mitsuki is in danger he'll protect him, if anyone he cares about is in danger HE'LL PROTECT THEM, it has NOTHING to do with a promise he made, he never once has thought about it since he made it, only in the anime and that was once in a comic relief moment and it was SARADA who brought it up, which just goes back to my statement that everything is only from girls pov.

SHE remembers the promise but not him, hell even Mitsuki remembers it, but not the guy who actually made it.

I wont completely downplay him protecting her in the exams tho, it was still meaningful and from his pov that it was HIS fault and he HAD to protect her, but it is SAD that that is literally all there is.

But going back to Boruto not really thinking about Sarada the way she does him, lets go back to the chunin exams.

When Boruto is about to lose their flag, what came to his mind when he was about to make his friends lose it all? well in the manga it was the email from his dad that gave him the push to use the ninja tool to win, him wanting to impress his dad and get his attention is what moved him.

In the movie it was the exact same thing, his almost failure in the first exam, and the email from his dad.

The novel and the anime however include Sarada in his reasoning, yet in the movie written by Kishimoto personally and Ikemoto who drew the entire movie recap exactly as it was in the movie, I think its safe to say thats the canon version of this scene.

Boruto didnt think about failing Sarada, letting her down, making her lose this step closer to achieving her dream, his one and only focus was impressing his father and getting his attention which Im not condemning him for but simply pointing out that Boruto does NOT think about Sarada the way she does him.

Lets just real quick compare Boruto and Sarada to Naruto and Sakura, because Im gonna use various examples so lets go with NS this time

When fighting Gaara, what motivated Naruto to be brave and tap into a whole new strength was him wanting to save Sakura before she was crushed to death, Sasuke too, but Sakura was a big motivator, and once Gaara was defeated the first thing Naruto wanted to know was if Sakura was safe and was relieved to know she was

Compare this to Boruto, when is she ever really a motivator for him? when has she ever been a source of strength? when has she made him reach new heights or push past limits? when has she been a driving force? a constant thought in his mind? someone he pays special attention to that he doesnt others?

Never, you cant give a single instance where Boruto treats Sarada any different than he would anyone else in her position, you could have Mitsuki about to get slashed by Kawaki and he'd have gotten the scar the exact same way, if Kawaki was about to sneak Inojin in their sparring match he would've jumped in to protect him and called him out the exact same way, if Sumire was the one who sent Sasuke to save him he would've thanked her the exact same way

Boruto treats Sarada like he does any other friend, there is no special treatment, no special thought either, the only time he'll think of Sarada is if Sasuke is involved in some way so she crosses his mind by extension for obvious reasons, but its never

'I HAVE to do this for Sarada, I have to protect Sarada, I have to be there for Sarada, Im so worried about Sarada, I need to get stronger for Sarada, I need to keep my promise to Sarada'

Im excluding the movie scene because that was out of guilt for partially causing what was happening and seeing how frozen in fear she was, so he manned up and took responsibility to protect her, to put that more into perspective just look at Sasuke literally stabbing himself so he could save Sakura and flee, sure he wanted to save himself, but Sakura being frozen and helpless was also a big motivator that made him fight even harder to move, Boruto has never had a moment where Sarada has made him fight even harder, made him overcome his fears, made him go out of his way especially FOR her

She's never a driving force for him, never a motivation for him, she doesnt cross his mind as anyone special he specifically wants to do xyz for.

Even now rescuing Sasuke is more about his own guilt for Sasuke sacrificing himself for him after Sarada selflessly sent her dad to protect him, and Boruto looking out for her is based on Sasukes final wish being for him to look after her for him.

Its funny how Boruto is quicker to remember and keep his promise to Sasuke than he does the one he made to Sarada. Shows you which promise and WHO Boruto really prioritizes.

Compare that to Sarada who literally says to Mitsuki that she wants to be able to help him more, that she wants to get stronger to help Boruto and fight off powerful Otsutsuki's, who breaks down and cries about how unfair omnipotence was to Boruto, whos bitched at everyone for 3 years trying to prove Boruto's innocent and being ignored, who was so overwhelmed to see him safe and sound she rushed to hug him

Which btw, Boruto returned, but he didnt initiate, because again their relationship is ALWAYS one sided, Sarada GIVES all this energy but she never RECEIVES any of it back.

Observe, how supportive and empathetic Sarada is of him about his dad even when she herself has father issues, vs how supportive or empathetic Boruto is towards her

Despite wanting time with her own dad, she wants Sasuke to take on Boruto as his student because she knows it'd mean alot to him if he did, and was happy for him when her dad said yes.

She lies to Naruto about where he is just so Boruto could spend a little more time with his dad.

She insists on taking the lunch box Hinata made to Naruto because she knows how much it means coming from someone special, which is what makes Boruto change his mind when thinking of his mother.

Moving on lets also compare supportiveness of their dreams, when Boruto tells Sarada his dream shes supportive and happy for him and wants her dad to train him, but when Sarada tells him her dream this is how he responds

Boruto LASHES out at Sarada unfairly because of his personal daddy issues, he takes his fathers neglect as Hokage out on her simply for wanting to be Hokage too, he also assumes that just because Naruto ended up neglecting his family that Sarada would do the same

Compare this to Sarada, who has even worse daddy issues, and how instead of lashing out at Boruto for wanting to be like her father, she supports him? instead of thinking he'd go on to neglect his family the way Sasuke did his she doesnt make that assumption at all? and this is WHILE inside shes annoyed with his complaining and envious of him

Yet she never takes it out on him, never lashes out at him, never calls him out on his insensitivity and selfishness of only thinking about himself and never once considering how she was feeling despite them being childhood friends, yet Sarada is the only one who cared and sympathized with his father issues but Boruto never cared about hers, let alone even acknowledged they existed, and Boruto was so self centered on himself that she never talked to him about it either, not even Chocho her own best friend because she too was also insensitive in regards to her father issues [having a loving and caring father right there yet rejecting him because hes not cool when Sarada literally hasnt even met her dad to her knowledge]

The only person Sarada EVER opened up to about this was Kawaki, and thats because he was the only person who actually GOT IT, they BOTH lacked father figures in their lives and saw Naruto as the ideal dad who was the one who saved them in their darkest moments and inspired them, out of her 2 closest friends, Boruto and Chocho, Sarada could only talk about her personal father issues with Kawaki who she only knew for less than a year, she could open up to HIM before she could two ppl shes known since childhood, that speaks volumes on just how one sided he and Boruto's friendship is because he of all ppl she should've been able to come to for this, yet Sarada didnt say anything at all

I could go on but you get the point, everything is one sided, Sarada gives WAY more to Boruto than he ever has for her, despite having father issues himself, he never ONCE related to or empathized with Sarada in a similar position, but Sarada has for him more than once.

She lied so he could have more time with his dad, she gave up time she could've had training with her own father so Boruto could since he really wanted him as his teacher, she sacrificed even more time with her dad by sending him away on a whole 3 year journey to protect Boruto, despite complaining about her dad not spending time with her several chapters before that, she STILL made that sacrifice for HIS sake.

Show me a single panel or episode where Boruto makes even remotely that kind of sacrifice for her, show me where Boruto ever tells Sasuke or tries to get Sasuke to spend more time with Sarada, show me where he ever sympathized with her not having her dad around, show me where Boruto ever tried to convince Naruto to train Sarada, show me where Boruto ever gave that much of af about her like she has about him.

You wont, because it doesnt exist, unless you wanna count novels not written by Kishimoto and an anime where a good 90% of it, possibly more, isnt even canon to the manga.

In this post Im only gonna reference things we know for a fact are 100% canon, so that means only Gaiden, Boruto movie, and Boruto manga content I will be referring to since thats the content we know for a fact is canon and non debatable.

But the sad part is even if you do include the novels, Boruto only sends Sasuke to spend time with Sarada once because its parent child day and he literally wants to spend time with his own dad but sacrificed that time for his little sister to have it instead, it only made sense for Sasuke to spend time with Sarada on this day, that wasnt so much him being considerate as it was him wanting time with his own dad but couldnt and he saw Sasuke didnt know anything about the holiday since its a new thing and explained it to him, thats not the same as him ACTUALLY considering Sarada's feelings and looking out for her, he had assumed that was why Sasuke came back in the first place until he realized he didnt know, explained it to him, and then went on his way.

So even the one time Boruto thought about her, it wasnt because he actually thought about her feelings and wanted her to spend time with her dad, but just an coincidental encounter, but the entire event Boruto was sulking from wanting to be with his own dad, sound familiar? yea, thats how Sarada felt in Gaiden when surrounded by everyone with their dads, only difference is Sarada was attentive and sympathetic towards him, Boruto isnt.

But lets move back to the manga, specifically TBV cuz I dont wanna be here all day just on part one.

Sarada, unfortunately, decides to dress like Boruto, and not only dress like him, but also go the extra mile of wearing a mens sized jacket...

This is how she dealt with her 'complicated feelings' apparently after omnipotence, she took on his style and even somewhat his attitude

Now lets look at Boruto in TBV, who is he representing? yep you guessed it, it aint Sarada, its her dad.

I want you to keep in mind that TBV is 3 years after Boruto and her dad go MIA after she sent her father to protect him, shes had zero contact with either one of them for those 3 years, she has no idea whether they were dead or alive cuz apparently she never asked Ada for any updates, and in her mind Naruto is dead.

So with all those details in mind you would think Sarada would wanna honor her father right? dont gimme the Uchiha crest cuz thats her own danm name and what she wore even before now, but what about Naruto? that was her idol so you'd think she might wanna honor him right?

The answer is no, she doesnt represent her missing father, nor her believed dead idol, she reps BORUTO.

Now compare that to Boruto who reps Sasuke, why? cuz thats his idol, thats who he strives to be like, thats who he looks up to, who kept him safe despite being brainwashed, who trained him for a whole year, and who sacrificed himself so that he could get away.

It makes sense why Boruto would wanna honor him, even tho I have my own issues with his Sasuke cosplay, atleast from a narrative and character standpoint it atleast makes sense, like you dont see that and go 'Huh?' whereas Sarada you do because that dont make a danm bit of sense in context.

Her dad is missing, her idol is dead, her friend is missing, yet the only one she honors is the friend? not Naruto who saved her at her lowest moment and gave her her dream? not her father who she was only just starting to finally spend time with after years of being miserable without him?

To put this into perspective, imagine Sasuke putting Naruto above Itachi, like Imagine Sasuke, who idolized his brother as danm near perfection personified, imagine he put Naruto above him for no reason and Im dead serious, there is no reason why Sarada would put Boruto above Sasuke, romantic love doesnt trump familial love especially towards ones own parents, despite popular belief that 'well she loves Boruto and known him longer than Sasuke so she cares for him more' is such a bogus take because in that case Boruto should be closer to her for the same reason, Naruto became Hokage when he was around 5-6 which is around the same time Sasuke goes on his mission, you can literally make the same argument for him but for some reason ppl wanna act like theres a difference.

But ok lets play their game that romantic love trumps familial, if they truly believe thats true and that BoruSara is already mutual then shouldnt Boruto put Sarada above his family as well? because they arent just talking about Sasuke, no they say Sarada cares more about Boruto than her own parents, so by this logic if their love for eachother is stronger than their love for their own family then shouldnt Boruto put her above his family as well?

Well he doesnt, infact he consistently puts her BELOW them, he's always prioritizing his mom, his sister, and his dad, Sarada is never a thought in his mind UNLESS Sasuke is involved in some way.

When he refused to do the mission, Mitsuki used his mother and sister to sway him

When he was about to die, he apologized to his dad and asked him to send his regards to his mother and sister

What motivated him through the chunin exams was getting his fathers attention, not helping his friends succeed

Whats motivating him in TBV is freeing his parents, Sasuke, and patching things up with his brother, Kawaki

When he arrives to save Sarada and Himawari, he orders the others to look after his sister and gets mad when they dont, but is indifferent towards Sarada

Yes he protected and saved her, but there was no great concern over her wellbeing despite her having been injured and just nearly consumed, he put her right back into the fight despite knowing she was being targeted, he only asked that Hima be looked after

Even if you argue he 'knew' Sarada could fend for herself, thats bs, Boruto himself had to flee the Shinjus when he got jumped, Sasuke himself got overwhelmed just by the lesser claw grimes cuz of their numbers, but you want me to believe Boruto thought Sarada could just handle it? even after almost JUST being consumed? get outta here.

Im not saying he doesnt care, what I am saying is he cares way more about his family and will prioritize them than he will Sarada. Keep in mind he had to fly OVER Sarada to where Hima was and THEN he went back for Sarada, nuff said right there.

So what am I getting at? well if it isnt obvious by this point, BoruSara, and most ships in Boruto in general, with the exception of Mitsuki, is all one sided af and it is ALWAYS from the girls pov.

We see Ada's pov, Sumire's pov, Sarada's pov, Yodo's pov now, Moegi's pov now

We dont see Boruto's, dont see Kawaki's, dont see Shinki's, dont see Konohamaru's

We see everything from Sarada's pov but nothing from Boruto's, he does not feel those same strong feelings towards Sarada as she does for him, and Im not even saying shes inlove with him, I just mean strong feelings in general, he does not give that same energy back to her that she gives to him.

The most Boruto has done in return was tell Ada to thank her and not to worry, and promised her that he would free Sasuke and everyone else trapped in tree's.

This is the most you get from Boruto, compared to the plethora of consideration you see from Sarada, the most you get is this.

Him coming to tell her what happened to her dad isnt really anything special, thats just expected, he left with her dad, her dad sacrificed himself for him, he tried to save him on his own first but failed, so now he goes to tell her what happened, its not that big a deal.

And thats exactly the problem, going back to my SS example, whenever we get moments of Sasuke's pov, of Sasuke giving some of that energy that Sakura gave him back, it was always a big deal, a big moment, something special that stood out from other interactions.

To put it a bit more in perspective I'll use Sasuke thanking Sakura before he left to Boruto thanking Sarada before he left.

With Sasuke there was an emotional and powerful build up, Sakura's pleas and Sasuke's refusal to look at her and choosing revenge over them, Sakura mentioning how their first interaction went and Sasuke saying he doesnt remember, all of that leading up to Sakuras confession, Sasuke deflecting and calling her annoying revealing he infact DID remember the interaction she spoke about, her trying to stop him and him appearing behind her, thanking her, then knocking her out and gently placing her on the bench before leaving

With Boruto all he does is literally just give Ada a message to relay to Sarada, there isnt really anything more to it than that, just tell Sarada I said thanks and dont worry cuz I'll be back.

There was nothing big or stand out about it, this is the same kind of thanks you'd see him toss any friend of his, theres nothing special about it.

And this is the problem with BoruSara, they have the 'illusion' of development because its pushed so strongly from Sarada's side that it gives the 'illusion' of the ship sailing, that theres something there, that their so inlove and so important to eachother etc

But when you really sit back, replay everything, and actually look at all their 'moments' and interactions you'll realize just how one sided the relationship is, that theres no reciprocation on Boruto's end, that Boruto doesnt treat her any different than he would anyone else, you could put Sumire in every place Sarada was and he'd act the exact same way, you cannot look at all thats happened and honestly say if you put Sumire in her place that Boruto would react any differently.

And thats what I mean by the 'illusion' of development, because Sarada is just a smoke screen, making her so obsessed and hyperfixated on him gives the 'illusion' that theres been some development in their relationship, that oh their bond is stronger now and shes starting to realize she loves him and Boruto feels the same etc etc

But again when you really look at it all you'll see that isnt the case at all, Sarada's obsession with Boruto is just like Boruto's sudden OOC attitude change, something GIVEN to them but not EARNED

For context Boruto's attitude is very OOC for him, and makes no sense in the context of what happened and what hes been through

To put it simply, Sasuke became the way he was not because of ppl being brainwashed into hating him who used to love him and losing nobody and knowing their all safe and sound, Sasuke became that way because a corrupt village persecuted his clan and plotted their genocide and made his brother carry it out in exchange for sparing his life, who he then hunted down and killed because he thought he was a traitor only to realize he wasnt and truly loved him

THAT is why Sasuke became the hardened person he was, from actual loss and trauma

Boruto has lost NOTHING, he says this himself, he lost nothing and has experienced no real trauma, hardships yes, but no trauma, he knows omnipotence is the reason for everything so he knows everyone that is against him now actually loves him and are just brainwashed, he had Sasuke by his side for a year and then KK for the other 2, he knew he had Sarada and Sumire as his allies back home, he now has Ada, Shikamaru, and Mitsuki on his side as well

Boruto's attitude makes ZERO sense in this context, hes acting like Sasuke but without any of Sasuke's experiences that made him like that

The same applies to Sarada, shes suddenly obsessed with Boruto to a very weird extent yet there has really be NOTHING to justify her obsession with him, none whatsoever

Just to give an example, lets use Haku, it was perfectly explained why Haku had such a strong unhealthy attachment to Zabuza, it made perfect sense why Haku would be obssessed with Zabuza and follow him to the ends of the earth, do whatever he asked, and even throw his own life away to protect him, THAT made sense

I'll give another example, Kawaki, do I even really NEED to explain why his obsession with Naruto makes sense? havin his biological dad sell him for money for booze? his adoptive dad beating him daily and having his body modified against his will? the only good father figrue he ever had in his life was Naruto who was the only one who ever showed him love or care? yea it makes perfect sense why he became unhealthily obsessed

But Sarada? for what reason are we given for her obsession with Boruto? absolutely none, not even in a romantic sense because for some reason Ikemoto wont commit and have her even recognize shes inlove, which is why I dont believe she is because by this point its been 3 years, shes been bitching at everyone for 3 years to believe his innocence, shes dressing like him, wearing a mens size jacket, getting called out by Sumire for her lack of consideration for anyone other than Boruto, she cant even listen to Boruto tell her what happened to her dad without cutting him off with a hug

Im sorry but if she hasnt realized shes inlove after all that, then maybe, just maybe, shes not fkin inlove with him because aint no WAY your doin all of that and still goin 'I mean that platonically' theres just no fkin way Sarada is just in THAT much denial that she cant tell shes inlove with him by now, your not gonna convince me Sarada is that oblivious, your not gonna convince me that 'oh shes like Sasuke' when Sasuke perfectly understood romance, he understood Sakura's feelings he just couldnt accept or focus on them cuz she had other important things to think about

Ppl however are arguing that Sarada doesnt know how she feels which is just stupid, your telling me your going out of you way to wear a mens size jacket the same style as your friend and you still dont know your inlove with him? get outta here man aint nobody THAT dense, thats not even in Sarada's character TO be that dense, she understands love and she not stupid, shes very emotionally intelligent, so if Sarada was inlove with Boruto she'd have realized it by now, the fact that she hasnt doesnt mean shes just that dense, it means what she says everytime shes asked if she likes him, which is no, sorry to burst ppls fanfics and headcanons but Im taking Sarada's words over shipper interpretations

Anyway so getting off of Boruto's perspective, even from Sarada's perspective its really lacking in the romance department because yea shes obsessed with him to a weird extent, but theres no romance, and when their is, its always shot down by her even when theres no reason for her to, there were tons of one sided loves in Naruto so why cant Sarada be confirmed inlove with Boruto by now? what does that ruin? its still a will they wont they situation since we dont know who Boruto likes yet so whats the hold up? theres no reason to keep dragging Sarada's feelings UNLESS its because she doesnt have any, but Ikemoto wants shippers to BELIEVE there might be to keep them reading, which makes sense because majority of readers are pro BoruSara, definitely dont wanna lose your main reading base when the manga is already struggling to stay afloat wth sales constantly dropping lower and lower every volume so yea, I get WHY he wouldnt shoot down BoruSara, but I dont get why if it WAS endgame why he wouldnt have already revealed Sarada's feelings by now, it only makes sense if she doesnt love him.

So romantic love aside, what reason does she have to be this obsessed with Boruto? absolutely none, there is NO reason for her to be this obsessed with him, its not like Sarada was some orphan abandoned on the street and Boruto was her one and only friend who helped her out and took care of her etc, nah Sarada had a normal childhood, loving mom, her best friend Chocho, Boruto havin her tag along with him and his friends, dont mention the novel because it contradicts the manga and even if you do it doesnt change anything because she still had Chocho, still had her mom, and still had a normal happy life with her only issue being an absent dad

She has no justifiable reason for being this obsessed with him, yet she is anyway even tho its unearned, same way Borutos personality shift is unearned, they both act in ways they dont have an justification for WHY they would, none of the experiences that would MAKE them behave the way they are

This is long enough so I'll just end by saying this, yes there is more going against BoruSara when you actually look at substance, theres barely any between them, all surface level bs, one sided bs, and non canon/debatable canon bs that the manga disregards entirely.

BoruSara thrives entirely off content by other ppl, Kodachi added extra bits to the movie novel than was in the movie, the novels were written by different ppl and are debatably canon, and we all know SPs track record, if you look at the manga tho there really isnt much goin for em that you cant say would be any different for somebody else

Like if Sumire hugged Boruto I find it very hard to believe he wouldnt of hugged her back, hell I believe even Mitsuki would've gotten a hug back, I dont really see Boruto only hugging Sarada back, but for example I can only see Sasuke poking Sakura's forehead, not because he dont care or feel as strongly for Naruto, but because he reserved that gesture specifically to convey to Sakura how he felt and to share with his daughter, a symbol of a promise he intended to keep, this is something he especially does just to them

But Boruto? yea I cant see him not hugging anyone else back who hugged him, it just goes back to what I said about their moments not really being 'special' because their nothing that wouldnt happen for anyone else, their not a big deal, hell the only reason the hug is a big deal is because Sumire understandably is jealous over it and called Sarada out for her inconsideration, not cuz she understandably hugged her friend she was happy to see, but because Sarada NEVER considers anyone elses feelings at all, SUMIRE understood how Sarada felt and why she acted that way, but Sarada never considered how Sumire felt, that she also missed Boruto, that she also had things she wanted to say, that she also wanted to show her joy and relief at seeing him alive as well but Sarada didnt even give her a chance to say or do anything before she flew at him.

So instead of a heartfelt reunion, instead now she gotta break the awkward tension between them now that Sarada cant speak cuz shes all embarassed by the hug, once again considering SARADA'S feelings despite her not considering hers at all.

Anyway Ima leave it there, sorry if this isnt as organized as my other posts, I didnt really plan this out and just wrote it as I thought about it but I hope I still made my point. I didnt want this to be too long so theres still alot of stuff I didnt go over in this post but I hope what all I did mention gets the point across well enough on its own.

If you were wondering if I think BoruSumi has more going for it than bsa, I cant say, it has the same issue with a lack of Borutos pov to tell, but just Sumire being sure and confident in her feelings for him puts it above bsa which is literally all fandom speculation that oh their totally inlove they just dont realize it yet ._.

As for if BoruSumi has more going against it, no it doesnt, if anything it has less tbh because its less focused on, and when it is its usually in a positive and mutual light so yea, definitely beating bsa in that regard.

uhhhh okay first, PRE-MEXICO. i think mickey broke out in the first place because he knew ian wasnt gonna wait for him. i think if ian didnt break up with him and dedicated himself to being a prison boyfriend (?) mickey wouldve stayed in. (i also think he wouldve found a skeevy defense lawyer who owes the milkoviches some debts and appealed his conviction bc lets be honest its total bullshit that he got locked away just based off sammi's unreliable testimony. like where the fuck was debby to lie under oath and say mickey was with her the whole time and she saw sammi take more pills than usual and go outside to move things. sorry im losing the plot this is NOT the time to discuss my s6 rewrite.) mikey haf absolutely no reason to stay in prison, stay in chicago, so i think after nearly 2 years of no visits from ian he just gave the fuck up. why not try to escape? hes smart, he can conjure up a decent plan, right? worst case scenario he goes back to prison, which didnt really fucking matter to him bc he was in prison anyway and he just. didnt care anymore.

so, he broke out and contacted ian ina last-ditch effort to get the love of his life back. he knew ian wasnt gonna wait for him, but at the docks hes obviously still shocked to hear ian moved on fast enough to have a boyfriend already. then ian agreed to go to mexico and mickey was SO READY to start LIVING HIS LIFE. he thought that would be IT. him and his lover in mexico at the beach, getting away from all the bad memories of chicago and having a place to START OVER!!! then ian changed his mind last minute and mickey was fucking CRUSHED. AGAIN. and all of a sudden now hes in mexico alone and all his previous plans went out the fucking window because he totally didnt spend the past few days rearranging his plans to revolve around ian being with him.

i dont really think a lot about mickey's time in mexico. i think he was sad. i think he was angry. i think he just did what he could to stay alive and try to move on but he never really didnt. i think he kept his head low and did his job in the cartel and tried to learn spanish but it was too fucking hard so he gave up on that pretty quickly and attached himself to the multilingual members of the gang. i definitely dont think he had a boyfriend. im sure he fucked around with other guys, but i also think he spent more time laying in his shitty apartment that he shared with like 4 other guys trying not to cry too loud thinking about what could have been.

i also dont think he worked for el chapo lmfao sorry to anyone who thinks that but the timeline doesnt even line up. and if he somehow did have a part in taking down el chapo he wouldve been put in witness protection. he probably wouldve gotten killed anyway tho

my dumb ass didnt realize he got a new tattoo until like deep into s10 and i gaslit myself into thinking it was always there LMFAO but i love that he got another tattoo there. i like to think this one was with a clean needle. i dont think this happened in canon, but MY mickey wouldve gotten a tongue piercing! perhaps other ones too. a couple other tattoos, a cartilage piercing, an eyebrow, his nipples. idk. just to change his appearance more. yeah. thats. the only reason.

anyway i think he got back into the US by working with an undercover cop and being a part of a pre-planned drug bust that included him being "arrested" and making it seem like he got extradited to the US only for being wanted. if he wouldve just waltzed into a precinct and said "hey i got dirt on this cartel" his as wouldve been killed so quickly. it needed to be a lot more covert so the other members didnt catch on and get rid of him. i do think eventually they probably figured out he was the anonymous witness whose interviewed were used in trial, which is why when he gets released in s10 the CO tells him the cartel is looking for him. sorry im going all Law & Order here talking about a s6 trial and now a trial against the cartel i need to stop

i dont get why people hate sakura but i also dont get why some people really like her its all just so confusig to me

short answer i think she fucking owns and is funny and its hilarious that she is qualified enough to do surgeries on people at like age 15.

long answer basically i dont know how kishimoto did it but somehow he didnt give sakura any justice and yet was forced to write a woman just enough for her to have a deeply compelling character trait (which never gets any real resolution or development because again kishimoto hates writing women and does everything in his power not to), which is her selfishness born out of insecurity and just wholehearted self-loathing. like sakura fucking HATES herself, it is continually shown how insecure she is in herself even during childhood up until the very end of the series. her whole arc revolves around trying to prove herself, and while i think a lot of it is due to kishimoto just not bothering to resolve her character arc, the fact that she never seems to be happy with what shes achieved despite how much of it she has really speaks to that insecurity. she genuinely cares about her friends and yet she cannot feel confident in herself without proving to them that she is useful which leads to some extremely questionable decisions on her part. she and sasuke, on some level, do genuinely care about each other in part 1, but the romantic side of her "love" is, according to kishimoto himself, completely arbitrary, and more than anything is built on wanting to make herself feel more secure. her and sasuke are friends but it never goes deeper than that because she cant and wont try to understand him, which leads to the talk right before sasuke leaves konoha where trying to convince him to stay revolves around how SHE would feel about him leaving, which sasuke obviously disliked. by the end of the series this hasnt changed because despite caring about him, she has failed to try and understand him enough to help him in any real way- and like, what i have described here is why a lot of people hate her, because theyve decided to blame it all on some sort of inherent malice she posesses (i dont feel like getting into how most of the people who do so also would not act like this if she was a male character, we all know this i wont make this into even more of an essay). but like, its not! none of it is malicious! its shown time and time again that she genuinely cares about team 7 and the rest of her friends, but her unresolved self-hatred gets in the way of going about it in a healthy way. and thats WHY i think she is so compelling as a character, and WHY i get so angry about how badly she was robbed. again i think at least a chunk of this is genuinely accidental on kishimotos part because he couldnt bother to write sakura, but accidental or not it doesnt make it any less compelling to me. sakura my fucking oomf forever and ever until the day i die

ANOTHER MERLIN RANT. ok i have to admit there are a few plot holes in merlin, the cgi would give you nightmare and they have never heard of historical accuracy and somethimes that characters act in ways whih i think are out of character. However, i love it.

There was one example os such a thing where is season 5 merlin was ledt alone in these tunnels, unconsious and hurt. Arthur was wounded and unconsicous also so he isnt to blame. In fact before he got hurt he was looking for merlin but what about the other knights?? Gwaine especially who said in the past merlin is his one true/only friend. He has protected merlin even when he got banished for it. The other knights are also his friends, why would they leave him? After dedicating everything to his Kingdom? Granted they dont know that but he lived there for 10 years!

I struggle to believe why he was last seen in the caves with everyone leaving and then there was a cut scene to Camelot! Ok it could be a filming error where they didnt realise they made it appear as if they left him but it rly doesn't seem that way! Imagen you risked ur life to save ur friends. You have traveled days in snowy mountains with barley any food and water, u were captured by bandits, escaped, broke into a castle of a dangerous enemy (morgana and her men) fought ppl and went back as a distraction, then u saw ur friend (arthur) threatened so u run to help him and u get throw into a rocky cave wall. Ur now fading into unconsiousness and the last thing u see is ur friend being threaten with a knife.

This is what must of happened after. You wake up. There is no light and bodies all around you. It is deathly quiet. U have a possibly bleeding head and are all alone. All the ppl u risked ur life for have left u. In enemy territory. Imagen the betrayal and sadness. Except merlin doesnt do anything. He is back in Camelot in the same episode. NO ONE, remarks on his being left. Did they not notice or just not care? What would feel worse. He travelled all the way back, days, all alone. How loyal he is, how sad he must be. I don't think his closest inner circle will have left him. No matter how they sleem slightly to have drifted apart in the last season or two.

Its horrible, not even mentioning one of the next episodes where Gwen, one of his closest friends previously (again drifted apart) accused him of Murdering Arthur and everyone just .... went along with it? Belived it? The pain that no one belives u, trusts u. He served arthur for 10 years, he has publicly risked his life on numerous occasios. he is the only one to speak plainly to arthur without a filter and trys to get him to show emotions (except gwen his wife, but even she is more respectful and timid in this way). How could his closest friends belive he would hurt arthur and condem him to death. If Arthur hadn't woken, merlin would have been executed by his friends. Gwen, who he has saved and risked his life for on multiple occasions.

Fair enough, shes possessed but why wouldnt the others refuse, stop her?? Its too out of character or, merlins friends rly dont trust him enough or are gullible. I lean more towards gullible/oblivious cause no one in merlin seems to see his obviously golden eyes and accept Merlin's or Gaius's excuses. Thats a horrible feeling for merlin, actually for anyone. That the ppl u would die for wouldnt do the same for u, they would infact do the opposite. Again arthur is in a coma cause of the poison he could do nowt.

anyways in summary hs takane is like. tends not to notice personal space, hates touching stuff with her hands, likes having control over what or how she hears, and has a tough time staying still. POST STR... its all to the max. takane is overly aware of everything. all 5 senses are as much of a nightmare as they are a relief and it's all mixed together!!!!

ok her sensory needs that she already had pre ene are still there but completely amped up, except the personal space one. now everyone is always too close and literally just opening her eyes (HEH!! OPENING EYES!!!!) is super overwhelming bc WHOA EVERYTHING IS SO CLOSE AND HUGE AND HD. i could imagine comparing it to like, wearing contacts for the first time for any fellow glasses wearing people. like u know this, youve seen all this. but suddenly youre watching it differently without a frame around ur eyes and it just feels weird. for takane the frame was a screen instead of the glasses yknow. and to her its A LOT

i think post str takane keeps using her powers and having meltdowns because on top of all the existentialism she has to deal with being alive and everything, suddenly She Cannot Control Anything And It Is A Nightmare. she can't handle the lack of control she has over her needs and body temperature. just feeling hungry or sweating after walking for a little in summer makes her upset. bc she gets her body back during summer so GOOD LUCK WITH THAT GIRL. the clothes she wears feel all insane and irritated and nauseous!!! awful!!! even showers feel strange bc AUGGHHH so much is touching her at once!!! she also hates eating soooo yeah also a thing. i think she's always been a picky eater but post str its like she will only eat like 2 things or something

ON THE OTHER HAND.... it suddenly goes on the opposite end. like for a few days she's nightmare overstim city and then she's SUPER understim and COMPLETELYYYYY over eager about having a body and horribly indulges in like. overeating and running around <- overeating (especially when u usually avoid eating), awful for ur tummy. running a lot when u have chronic pains, also awful for ur pains later. sooo nothing she wont pay the price for later. it needs to get pointed out to her she needs to find a balance and cant have all or nothing (by haruka probably)

the personal space thing comes back here like she gets So touchy and needs hug or death. i think she can be all happy hugging haruka and all of a sudden pushes him away and is like WHOA I NEED TO GET OUT OF MY BODY RIGHT NOW MAYBE RIP MY SKIN OFF TOO MAYBE so it's rly like a light switch all of a sudden she can get overwhelmed with it and revert. like jumping back and forth between seeking and avoiding sensation.

i drew this once but haruka with his arms inside of takane's sleeves LOLLL i think skin to skin rly helps her when she's feeling like she needs sensation. a big part of the sudden overindulgence is OUGH IM REAL!!!! bc like i said takane isnt just dealing with having a body again she's dealing with having her Life again. being alive again. and she LOVES being alive. and the avoidance of all these sensations sometimes piles up and ends on the opposite like I NEED TO EAT💥💥💥I NEED TO SCREAM💥💥💥💥I NEED TO RUN AND HUG AND KISS AND DANCE AND SWIM💥💥💥 yknow. so yeah haruka helps her a lot with it when she needs touching and hugging 🙏🙏🙏 cuz he also wont get offended if she's suddenly like Ok get away from me before i explode🙏

also post str takane To Me also has mobility issues like haruka does bc all her muscles are atrophied from yknow Not moving for 2 years so it's like, even more that she has to deal with. physical therapy is incredibly invasive to her too so it's extra difficult. i think haruka and her do it together and that's why haruka is so on top of what's going on with her, he's the closest and sees her whenever she's the most vulnerable. also their situations are So similar they cant help just gravitating to each other for support. i also think haruka's the one to always point out to her when she's overindulging like Hey i love that ur rly enjoying that bigmac but i can already see you wanting to rip out ur organs later tonight so maybe dont eat a third one.

anyways ermmm takane's biggest challenge is Stop resorting to opening eyes whenever it gets too bad. like i also got sensory issues and assuming whoever is reading also does imagine having the option to just Jump out of ur body when its feeling Awful. ofc ur gonna take it when ur feeling like that. but it doesn't help takane to do it. while it helps her to calm down, it's not good in the long run. she actively wants a PHYSICAL life and work on all this. takane never wanted to die and is super motivated to get better but it's not quick or easy!!! eventually she finds a good balance i think. she's still a rly touchy person who hates grabbing her phone directly without the sleeves in the middle and will only eat like 3 things❤️ but also a hug lover❤️

I started Warrior Nun, idk a few years ago, didnt get super into it. Saw that it got super gay and also that it was picked up by another studio to be finished and thought Id give it a second try.

I was much less disabled last time around and I was confused by Ava. Why did she go to the beach instead of trying to get out of the city? Why did she care about this tech company? What was she doing?

And well. Its a whole other experience now. Shes so funny. "Im an independent woman I dont need you to save me" girl you dont know how to operate a shower, im surprised it didn't take you longer to figure out walking especially in heels, you jumped into a pool knowing you cant swim. Youre a hot mess.

Now obviously she knows enough to try not to look as vulnerable as she is. But she definitely does need help.

And then in the tech building, of *course* she's nerding out about the neural net wheelchair. Other than what did actually happen with the halo, it was the one thing that could most change her life for the better in such an immense and extreme way. Of course she knows about the latest wheelchair tech being made in her city! She doesnt even need one working hand to move it around, just her mind! Fuck yeah thats incredible!

Now how did she die is an interesting question and I definitely suspect the orphanage nun, who Im almost certainly supposed to suspect at this time. And why was her corpse in that morgue space that was also a warrior nun safehouse? It doesnt make any sense. Wouldnt the other kid have seen if she was poisoned though? Was the painkiller-bloodstream paperwork faked, because scene 1 that wasnt put down as cause of death, unless that was a cover up. Whats the connection there.

Anyway Im having a lot more fun this time around.

this is a hard habit to get out of, so i think the way id like to do it is by simply bringing out character flaws into the problem

"but i dont really get how to make flawed characters" i was like that too! so heres what i do!

step 1: list out all of your characters traits. im gonna use one of my characters, allie. shes perceptive, serious mostly, chaotic, trusting, etc. making characters have good traits is easier then coming with bad traits i feel like.

step 2: think of how the character interacts with others. is it the best it can be? is it horrid beyond belief? understanding that can help too, even if you dont need it.

step 3: take that list of good traits to the extreme. every trait can be bad gvien the right situation. lets go back to allie! shes trusting? maybe she trusts too much, and gets herself or her friends in danger. chaotic? her wildness doesnt allow her to realize the damage shes causing. hell, even perceptive! she feels like she needs to keep a look out, causing some internal conflict.

step 4: how does this affect those relationships? maybe allie is growing distant and isolated from people, slowly realizing shes a danger. she blocks out people trying to help, who take it as an insult. she takes their help as an insult back, or maybe she doesnt want to worry them.

thats really what i do, but ill put other notes underneath the line lol

-a solution doesnt have to be "the solution"! a character can mishandle themselves and misinterpret what they need, causing them to be stupid!

-intense emotions will make you stupid! if your running from a murderer, you may do stupid things to try and survive!

-character backstory doesnt need to be brought up directly for there to be a fight. maybe someone jokingly starts saying stuff, another misinterprets and accuses, soon enough a fight breaks out. or maybe someone unknowingly makes fun of someones past/an event that happened to them (example: "how could anyone be so stupid to travel for that long just to die like that?" could piss off anyone from someone who would rather not like the dead to be mocked to another whos traveled for a while and is held up as "the best" despite having made mistakes).

-mental illness can and should come somewhat into play if a character has something. while allie is stable and shit, i can say that being neurodivergent has made me unable to understand others do. differences make you think differently! (ie: a gay person who experienced prejudice in their life probably will view the world differently then a straight ally whos not had that problem). "oh but what if i dont write it well?" doing research is always the most important part obviously, but i can give some ideas (note: im not all of these groups, i just have some experience with these things, please do your research when writing these). someone with autism may have a harder time understanding emotions of someone because they feel them differently ("why arent you crying? [insert tragic event] just happened!" "i-" "do you not care?!" "of course i fucking do, i cant tell you why im not crying because i-i just cant, i dont fucking know.") (alterantively: "why are you crying? its not a big deal." "shut the fuck up."). a neurotypical person may make the wrong assumption about someone whos neurodivergent due to built in ableism ("oh wow, you actually solved it!" "heh, what doubt could you have?" "well, i mean.." "what-oh. i see then. thats how you think."). stuff like that can add something.

-you dont need a fight to have characters drift. a fight could be the split, but it doesnt need to be. you dont need characters to immediately comfront each other, yuou can let them bottle it up and make it all so worse.

-a character doesnt need to lie for distrust to happen. all it really needs to be taken as a lie. (character a: "I SWEAR, I DIDN'T KNOW!" character b: "and here i swore to trust you. what other lies do you hide under your tongue?")

-a relationship can be broken for no good reason. a life logn friendship, ended over one out of control fight. they may wonder if they reconsider, but they could just not regret where they stood, even if their ideals change.

That post that's like "stop writing characters who talk like they're trying to get a good grade in therapy" really blew the door wide open for me about how common it's become for a character's emotional intelligence to not be taken into consideration when writing conflict. I remember the first time I went to therapy I had such a hard time even identifying what I was feeling, let alone had the language to explain it to someone else. Of course there are plenty of people who've never been to therapy a day in their life who are in tune to their emotions. But even they would have some trouble expressing themselves sometimes. You have to take into account there are plenty of people who are uncomfortable expressing themselves and people who think they're not allowed to feel certain ways. It also makes for more interesting conflict to have characters with different levels of understanding.
