A strange kid found in the dumpster and trained under Agent [REDACTED] to become one of the many field agents in the EOD. Seemed to have close to no education whatsoever and lived without a family for years before she was found from what we know for now. Rather mischievous and enjoys stealing, causing rather destructive pranks on the building, getting into extreme danger as well as getting gravely injured from the situations, and being a straight up nuisance chaotic kid, she brings in a multitude of wild, feral and possibly diseased animals and insects and somehow befriends them, her bestest friend being a possibly feral raccoon named Patrick. She has moved from building to building since the workers could not stand her at all, she has set fire to various places at this point. She has some sort of bracelet that she doesn’t let a soul touch and WILL bite someone if they try to even look at it. Her bite is extremely powerful and can bite through sheets of metal. Currently doesn’t have a handler since no one would step up to watch over her, but that doesn’t seem to discourage her at all from completing missions successfully, despite the complete damage she or her surroundings in that mission would end up having. Though while in her missions, she always takes the extra time to go looking for something, she doesn’t tell anyone what she is looking for but it seems to be extremely important to her. Wonder that it is.

Being a Sonamy fan is hard (and just being an Amy Rose fan in general)

*quick note, I have only seen a few leaks regarding Sonic X Shadow Generations so take this post with a grain of salt and please add in some stuff about the game that I should be aware of because I have a feeling that this post might be incorrect about a lot of things*

*contains possible Sonic X Shadow Generations spoilers*

Being in love with Sonic isn't Amy's only trait. She is something more. She's a baker, a tarot card user, she's got a strong heart of gold, and is just a passionate and cheerful cute little weird girl.

As a Sonamy fan, these "changes" are nothing special or big, it's still just Amy being Amy, but this time more than just wanting to be with Sonic. I am aware of that one edit where Amy was trying to give Sonic cupcakes. It's really cute, but it's not the same without the hand over her face. Am I complaining? Yes, and no, it's hard to describe. (I don't have the image with me atm but in the future I'll edited in on this post)

I'm not complaining because we are seeing Amy just doing more than just, loving over Sonic. She still is in that cutscene, and most of the game as far as I'm concerned (I haven't seen all of the leaks), but in a more calmer fashion.

But at the same time, I am complaining because, and I highly doubt SEGA is doing this, at least on purpose, but Amy's crush on Sonic feels like is getting buried in a way.

I kind of worry that a newer generation of Sonic fans will never find out about Amy's crush for Sonic, or just how wonderful their dynamic in general is if this keeps going on.

I know it won't, but still, we haven't been seeing that a lot. But at least if you want to introduce new fans Sonic and Amy's dynamic, platonically or romantically, make sure to not bring up Heroes or a couple of X episodes please LMAO

(But that one episode where Amy and Sam talk about her relationship with Sonic, yeah, bring that one up. OH. and the last episode of Season 2, don't forget about that one.)

Look, we're all high on Son/adow right now, and it feels good, but what about Sonamy? Sonamy and Son/adow have a lot in common and are both really good with angst potential and lots of great character interactions. At least in my opinion anyway. (Topic for another day, if I'm brave enough)

I love them both equally, so I want to see an equal amount of hedgehog dorks being together. Or better yet, Sonamyshad. 😎

But I'm getting slight off-topic...

I don't want Amy's crush to be forgotten. You don't even have to like Sonamy to understand why and how Amy's feelings for him is actually really important for her character. (Again, topic for another day)

I mean, of course, some reasons as of why relate to my personal headcanons, but there are other good in-canon reasons, too!

Hell, even Sonic and Amy's friendship is just as important. They don't have to be a couple, but that doesn't mean we have to pretend that Amy never fell in love with the hedgehog who saved her life in more ways than one.

I also don't want how much Sonic and Amy's relationship improved throughout the years to be forgotten, either. This is why I'd rather have the shot of Sonic's covering her face with his hand, because he wouldn't do this today, and that's the point of all this...

They both started off as goofy, little kids, one wanting to share her love like wildfire, and the other always running off, not understanding the concept of love, and, of course, not loving her back.

Amy was much more loud and expressive about her love, and Sonic, while he knows there is good in Amy, does not want to be part of a relationship, and doesn't know how to talk things out about it, even with Amy not taking "no" for an answer. The solution? Just run away lol

Yeah, there are times where he called her a "pain" and thought of her as "annoying," but those times he was either in a hurry, or in a bad mood. Remember: They were both younger at the time, so it's in-character for Sonic at that age.

Sonic and Amy don't have a lot of moments where they're just, together. And not just for a "date." Sonic doesn't know a lot about Amy other than her love for him. ...Okay, some things he does know, but not a lot.

Their relationship was beginning to shift after the events of Lost World and especially after Forces, which I would explain, but I'm gonna put a link here because I don't want this post to be too long.

But if you have read it, then the next couple of texts would have some context lol

Anyways, after all that, Sonic and Amy's relationship was a lot different now. Amy was more calm but still cheerful, just not showing a lot of her love for Sonic because she's fully aware that none of that is important, and Sonic was more gentle around her because he wanted to be better than how he acted towards her for a while.

They both just want to hang out and start over as proper friends, but eventually, Sonic would find out what Amy was going through mentally, and how long she kept this from him.

Perhaps after that, Sonic wouldn't mind being closer to Amy, but he still has a world to look after. But hey, maybe slowing down and letting Amy catch up with him won't be so bad. Besides, he's finally seeing her happy with just him for the first time in a while, and he never realized just how much he missed it until now.

Buuuuut, those are just my headcanons, like I mentioned earlier. We all have our reasons why we love or dislike a ship (as long as it's not gross), and I have my own.

These two, just like son/adow, hold a special place in my heart because of what I went through myself, and how much they both have grown, and I truly hope that their relationship and friendship won't be forgotten.

I know it won't happen, but I still have that feeling... Probably because no body cares about their dynamic as much anymore.

Because of the past and people misinterpreting the ship, and Amy's character as a whole, the fandom seemed to care less about it. I mean, I don't blame them, but... it's still pretty messed up.

It's fine if you don't like sonamy, but I really hope you dislike it for a genuine reason, and not just because of some fans getting some things, or worse, everything about Amy and/or the ship wrong.

Amy's character arcs through the games, and her and Sonic's dynamic through the years have been overlooked as far as I'm concerned. Not like heavily overlooked, it's just that it's been a while since I've seen people give a damn about Amy Rose, especially SEGA.

I know we got The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog, but I feel like that's not enough.

What's going on with Sonic X Shadow Generations is pretty strange, but first of all, it's not Ian's fault god dammit, and second, I don't see it as a big deal. I haven't seen most of the leaks, but as far as I'm concerned, it's not that bad.

(But I have heard about that one cutscene with Knuckles and Classic Sonic and I couldn't help but laugh my ass off over it XD)

But with how the game is handling Amy, please be aware that this isn't the first time this happened, and it's not even that bad either. I mean, yeah I did mention how I'm worried about it, but I was over it once, I'll get over it again lol

There have been discussions about this since the Fast Friends Forever bio thing that happened last year, and I'm getting kind of tired of the arguments by now.

Amy stopped chasing Sonic not because she doesn't love him anymore, but because she doesn't need too. She is part of the team and has been closer with Sonic for a long time now. She doesn't need to follow them around when she already have proven herself to be useful and a fighter.

I'm really happy Amy is being recognized as something more than having a crush on Sonic, but having a crush is the heart of Amy's character.

Looking up to Sonic and wanting to be like him is what made Amy Rose... well, Amy Rose. She pushed herself and fought hard to be the person she wanted to be, and it's all thanks to Sonic.

He inspired a lot of people around him, especially Amy, so it's no wonder why she loves him so much. Plus, her tarot cards told her that he would be the love of her life, but I feel like even if the cards are wrong (not saying they are lol), she still loves him.

I want Amy's feelings for Sonic, and their friendship and their potential relationship to be remembered for a long time. I don't want them to be pushed to the side forever.

I don't want people to believe that her crush is her only trait, even though it's so important to her character.

I don't want Amy to change too much. Friends or not, I don't want her to give up on Sonic entirely.

I don't want this fandom to forget about Amy Rose.

Okay y’all, so I know I’ve been predominantly a Haikyu!! account for a little while now (and there’s still more of that to come once I have the emotional stability for finishing season 4) but we’re gonna switch gears and talk TMNT 2012 for a change!

Yeah okay we all knew this was coming, but surprise surprise, Donnie is my favorite. I just love him to death! The whole April thing is admittedly irritating, and I tend to like Leo more in those episodes, but Donnie is overall my favorite because I love watching him come up with things, and I love how he genuinely seems concerned about others (Leo has this as well. I don’t really see it very much in Raph and Mikey?). Also I feel like he’s carrying a lot more weight than he ever gets credit for. Also I found out his voice actor, Rob Paulson, (who I already thought was really cool prior to this and apparently voiced my childhood) played Shreako in Scooby Doo Meets the Boo Brothers. Literally my favorite character from one of my favorite childhood movies!! This didn’t have any effect on my opinion of Donnie, of course, but it was just so neat to see my childhood interests and current interests linking like that! I love recognizing voice actors from other shows they’ve done :) [ask me about Jeffery Combs sometime. I’ve got a story to tell there!].

I was currently sitting on my floor, Red doing my eye makeup for my date with Kyle. She had been begging me to let her do it since Tuesday, the day he asked me out. I see her slowly pull her hand away, moving to grab a makeup wipe.

"Did you seriously draw a dick on my face?" I scoff, watching her begin to wipe something away from above my eyebrow. "It was small, I swear," Red laughs, dropping the wipe and picking up her makeup brush.

"Why is this taking so long, I told you to not do anything extravagant." She rolls her eyes, holding my face in place. "It's not anything extravagant, I'm just trying to help you get some jeweiner," Red jokes. "Are you serious? Jeweiner? No, actually, that's pretty funny," I say, biting back a laugh.

"Hey, you never know, he could be freaky deaky," Red defends, letting go of my face. "Done." I look in the mirror, nodding. "He could be, but he's too much of a gentleman to even suggest it on the first date," I counter, smoothing out my top.

"No thank you? No Red, you sexy woman, this looks great?" Red says, putting all of her shit back in its bag. "Red, you sexy woman, this looks great," I exclaim, my tone dramatically excited. "You're ungrateful, I hope Kyle poisons your food."

Not even five minutes later, there was knocking at my front door. "My little girl is all grown up. Go get your honeybun," Red teases, pushing me out of my room. "Ew, I wish you'd stop talking. Go home."

Red rolls her eyes for the millionth time, walking me down the stairs. "I can't go home until you and Kyle leave, it'll look weird if I'm still here when he picks you up. Just go," She groans, sitting at the bottom of the stairs.

"Whatever," I sigh, walking to my front door. I open it to find Kyle holding up a bouquet of pink tulips. "Hi. You look ethereal." He breathes out, seemingly nervous. Ethereal? Damn. "Thank you, that's really sweet. You look nice, too." I respond, not being able to think of a better compliment.

He hands me the flowers, a goofy grin on his face. "I thought of you when I saw those. I was gonna get roses, but... I thought these were nice." This boy was gonna be the death of me. He's such a dork. "Thank you, I'll put these inside and we can go," I say, reaching out to hand them to Red.

He leads me out to his mom van, which honestly didn't come as much of a surprise. He opens the passenger side door for me before walking to his side, a nervous silence filling the air.

"I heard Stan talked to you," He speaks up, glancing at me as he puts his car in drive as pulling away from the curb. "Yeah, he scared the shit out of me, it was like he just appeared," I snort, shaking my head. "It's like he teleports," Kyle agrees.

We hold a light conversation all the way to Olive Garden (which I had suggested as a joke, but it turned out he loved Olive Garden, which also didn't surprise me). After parking, he sits back for a moment, looking over at me. "You really do look beautiful tonight, you know."

Meow.

"Thank you. You look very pretty. Handsome, you look handsome," I compliment, letting out an awkward laugh. "Thanks, I try," He jokes, opening his car door. I copy his action, stepping out into the fresh, Olive Garden parking lot air. Romantic.

Eventually, we're seated, but we were sat directly behind an angry old couple. We couldn't help but listen to their conversation, trying to bite back our laughter. We look at each other with red faces, almost breaking. His lips are pressed together in a straight line while my hand covered my mouth.

"I wish I could divorce you, but you'll probably die before you can sign the papers," The old lady snaps, pointing a finger at her husband. That was it. I choke on my water, Kyle letting out a loud laugh. The couple seemingly didn't notice, both of us trying to recollect ourselves.

"Oh my god," He whispers, taking a moment to breathe. "This is so bad, I'm sorry," he adds, trying to keep his laughter in. I shake my head, a wide grin on my face. "No, this is great, it's possibly the best date I've ever been on."

"So you'll let me take you on another one?"

"Definitely."

THE OWL HOUSE HAS A CHARACTER PROBLEM!

And when I say this, I don't basically talk about Lilith's not existing rushed character arc (srsly, that woman was literally evil a few episodes ago but suddenly became Luz's goofy cool aunt without any development???)

Or it's not about the show neglecting characters like Raine, Darius and of course, Gus... (The show was just too busy with giving Hunter & Amity too much screen time than they actually needed tho)

NO, it's not about those things... yet (But really, we should talk about it all sometime)

Today's topic is how characters act differently than the way they're introduced. So, let's start without wasting any more time!

1-) Alador Blight

It's strongly hinted in the show that Alador was forced to work overtime because of Odalia. And from Odalia's perspective, it had 2 benefits for her.

1-) Obviously the more Alador worked, the more money they would gain. And since Odalia is a greedy and superficial b!tch, there's nothing she would enjoy more than money.

2-) The absolute control of her kids. Since Alador was tired and sleep-deprived all the time, he had no energy left to take care of his kids or even himself. Which caused him to neglect Edric, Emira and Amity, much to Amity's annoyance.

And with Alador being absent in their life; Edric, Emira and Amity were in Odalia's mercy. And because there's no other parent around, the poor kids were forced to live up to their mother's extremely high expectations and tried to please her all the time.

And it's also hinted that Odalia favored Edric and Emira and gave them some extra privileges due to their physical similarity to her (yes, I'm talking about green hair). And she subtly encouraged Edric and Emira to mock and bully Amity. So it's safe to say that Odalia was the one who created their sibling rivalry in the first place.

(tho let's be honest, "But teacher I'm in love with a dictionary!" & "I'm studying dork arts!" will always be iconic😂)

And it all makes sense, because isolating victims is a very common tactic of abusers, especially the control freaks like Odalia. Leaving Alador exhausted all the time, favoring her golden twins and treating Amity like a scapegoat worked well for her.

But hold up!

I said Alador, then why am I talking about Odalia?

There's nothing wrong in the way her character is written. She was a b!tch from the start and was still a b!tch at the end.

HOWEVER, there's this big issue...

It's said in the show that Alador loved his kids and wanted to spend more time with them. That's why he was a threat for Odalia's authority.

But the Alador we know from "Understanding Willow" wasn't like that all.

Not only his appearance, but his whole attitude was different as well. He was seen to be strict and controlling towards Amity as much as his wife. So why did Odalia feel the need to keep him busy then if he shared the same ruthless attitude with her??

Because at this point, it's no longer about Alador or Odalia, it's about the show. Just check out these pictures. These are the storyboard pictures with dialogues that has been cut from the show (probably in order to make Alador look softer in the process)

The show changed Alador's character drastically for... literally no reason? When he made his first real appearance, I was like "Hold up- this doesn't look like the big bad guy I was expecting" But it wasn't a nice surprise for me. Because it's never revealed why the series changed his character entirely. It didn't make any sense.

And in "Watching and Dreaming", we've seen Alador's epilogue design. And he had a somewhat clean appearance. Which hints that he had a nasty appearance earlier due to working overtime, but since he was free of Odalia's pressure now, he could spend more time on his personal appearance.

But the thing is, in "Understand Willow", he already had a clean and formal appearance (at least he seemed so from his silhouette). So it still leaves a question mark in the head why Odalia made him work overtime anyway.

And as I mentioned, the storyboard Alador was much colder and scarier too, just look at Amity's face.

Even the storyboards were like that. So at this point, I have no explanation for Alador's character change (No, I don't call it character development because there was no development)

Alador isn't the only example of this sudden character changes that makes no sense. Hunter, Collector and Lilith are other examples for this (I'll be analyzing them soon) But so far, this is all I say for Alador for now.

From what I've noticed, a lot of the Royai fan artists I follow tend to prefer drawing Riza, when they're not portraying her with Roy. But I've noticed that a number of your pieces focused on Roy only, which I find very interesting! Would you say that his character inspires you more than Riza, artistically/creatively speaking? If so, in what ways?

And lol yeah, sometimes I feel like I stick out like a sore thumb among the Royai people. But eh, healthy ecosystems need biodiversity 🤣

I hope my answer isn't too long.

I do have a preference for Roy in drawing, for a number of reasons.

I precise in drawing, because I do love writing Riza, not more than I do writing Roy, but they're relatively even for me - even if, yes, I tend to favour Roy because he's easier for me, there, too.

I like to draw him, because I like his face, expressions and postures, and I like to explore them. He's a fun little guy to draw, when I think Riza is cool AF (and I have a lot to say about her character, too!) but she's not as fun to draw for me (once again I love her and she's in fact the female character I have drawn the most I think, because I have a hard time drawing women, but still, if I'm looking for a quick doodle, I'll go towards Roy).

But yes, they're more or less indissociable for me, and for proof my first fan art for FMA was indeed Royai (here!).

Anyway. While Royai is my favourite ship and I love Riza to bits, my favourite character in FMA is Roy. Roy first. (And my husband has understood that well, he's calling me when we do a rewatch and Roy appears on screen and I'm not watching. Like HURRY ROY IS THERE).

Now, if anyone who knows me from earlier than my FMA obsession reads this, and I describe the utter mess that is Roy, they'll understand that it couldn't have gone any other way. Here's a man in a position of power, who hides everything behind a façade, who's a nerd and highly intelligent (I admit I'm often irked by some posts in the royai fandom. This guy is smart. He's goofy, he's a dork, but he's smart. Book smart, he's a fine tactician, and he can command. Erasing that is erasing part of his identity, and I'm sure part of why Riza loves him, too), has a weird sense of humour even though he can also be intense af, is crushed by unbelievable guilt from his past actions (I admit Roy and Roza both beat all of my previous fixations in that, good job being war criminals, guys 🙃) and intends to repair what he's done as much as he can, one way or another, whose sole goal is to make things better for others/his place/his country, whatever he has to give up for it to work, who inspires others doing that, and who gets badly injured/disabled during the story and keeps going and fighting teeth and nails through it and beyond?

WELL. There is no question I will fall for this dude instantly. This is like. Checking all the boxes for me to be instantly in love with this guy. Like. I think he's actually the only one who checks ALL of my boxes.

I do think however that Roy isn't complete without Riza, and that it's the same on her side (like. I've only tagged my current fic with "codependency" but that's how I write them whatever I write). I'm just fixating on him first, but I still find Riza an awesome character, there's no debate there 😊

Still a goofy ass design. WHY DIDNT THEY JUST GIVE HIM PANTS? I dont understand. He'll probably never get a costume either since NO ONE FUCKING HAS HIM LMAO. His lore & personality are S-tier tho. Love his relationship with Klee and the brief time he was with Cyno.

I like all his VAs except his CN voice which makes him sound like... 8? girl what? Another rare L for CN casting director.

I fucking love Alhaitham. Hes such a dick.... but hes only a dick to people who step on his toes... which I think is fair. His design is terrific. i did have some pretty high hopes for him... and still kinda do since his design is so sus... but right now his lore is pretty underwhelming. Also hes one of those characters Id think look significantly better with a darker skin tone. Pasty bitch.

I like all his voices but JP is my favorite. KN is a close second.

SEE HYV you can make a sexy character that doesnt randomly show skin in weird places... Funny that. Arlecchino is great. Her lore is great, her personality is great, her design is great, her colors are great. Thumbs up all around.

Her voices are also great! I especially love how masc her JP voice is. Killin it as usual Father.

Ayaka... overall gets a resounding MEH from me.

OOH CHIORI. I dont really care for most of the Inazuma cast TBH... but DAMN Chiori... its like she took all the good design with her to Fontain. Whyd she do that to them. Shes also a BITCH. Its so funny. There was a dude crying because he was grateful for something (I dont remember) and this bitch said '...EW' and I fuckin lost it. Shes so good. GEO never misses with characters its crazy. Geo characters are either perfect aesthetically or personality or lore... most of the time ALL OF THEM (with the exception of Albedo who looks like a fuckin dork but his personality and lore S-tier)

I like all but her JP voice. But her EN voice sounds the bitchiest and its my favorite.

Another design where I saw the concepts and was completely disappointed by the design they chose. Honestly if they didnt go with this blue-purple color palate I probably wouldnt even dislike it... BUT HERE WE ARE. Her personality is great tho and her story with Navia is... *chef kiss*

THE BABIEST. I know Ive said this before and I will say it again... buy Cyno is the babiest. I love an Anubis theme. I love the colors. I ADORE his personality. It makes me so sad... in the Windblume festival he said his subdued personality is from when he was a child and the people would judge him for being from the desert region... and that he only tells jokes to people considers his friends... but all his friends dont like his jokes and get annoyed with him. Why do they do this to him... he also has a little tree branch he only brings his friends to... HES SO FUCKING CUTE. The fact a good chunk of the fandom characterize him as some tough dom daddy for Tighnari is fucking DIABOLICAL work. Never talk to me of my son ever again.

BUT it turned out a lot of my aggression for him was because I was scared Qiqi would be the last standard 5-star I would get.... & it would take forever to get her... tbf it did take until Zhonglis 3rd? banner before I got her. And I got her WITH Zhongli and I have never been happier playing GI. Zhongli saved Diluc for me. I hope you appreciate that man Diluc. I also didnt mind that I got him instead of Chiori.... I wanted Chiori significantly more but... w/e. ANYWAYS great colors, great lore. If he stopped being a dick to Kaeya we might get somewhere with him.

Now I dont think Eis design is bad in the least but she just looks like every other female character in Inazuma. In fact she basically has the same exact silhouette as Kokomi but I like Kokos design better. They also kinda dropped the ball on her whole character... Shes never recovered from her second story for me. Still my least favorite Archon. I do like her relationship with Yae tho.

I had a hard time warming up to Eula... I found her SO annoying in her quest and her constant 'At least LUCK doesnt discriminate due to clan' or some shit just irritates me... like... GIRL. Your clan was slave owners and theyre still shitty... just fuckin disown them and start a new life bitch. Her relationship with Amber is very cute tho and her design is great.

I dont really care for ANY of her voices but especially JP...

Furina is one of those characters that are annoying but its still hard to hate her cuz shes funny. (Like Fish) and i really didnt like her at first until her story played out... my poor hapless bitch. You didnt deserve any of that.... her design is great. I like her dark outfit significantly more than the light so Im glad its the more useful mode. Her relationship with Neuv is also just terrific.

Much like with Fish... her EN voice is best for me because its so dramatic and comically annoying. All her other voices make her sound way too young for my tastes.

I love Ganyu! I guess shes also in the running for sleepiest girl with Layla and Sayu. Shes super cute... I do have a lot of issues with her outfit design... just cuz it doesnt even look like an outfit. Thank goodness she got a costume... not that I have it but I also dont have her and I would never pull for a Bow DPS 5-star so i never WILL have her LMAO. Still love her to death tho.

I think Hu Tao is one of the best designs in the game. Its so simple but so effective. Shes so cute and cheeky. Love her. Her personality is also top tier. Im so happy she had such a confrontational relationship with Baizhu... cuz that was my headcanon for the longest time LMAO Cuz shes a funeral director with a massive respect for the life/death cycle and he wants to find a cure for death or someshit.... They had to have some sort of clash. And they did. It reminds me of that one Jojo meme.

I LOVE Hu Taos EN voice and her JP voice is also fun. Her CN and ESPECIALLY KR (have I been puttin KN this entire time...) voice sounds too babyish.

MY MANS ITTO. Such a fuckin idiot. His design and character are great its just a shame... when he was first leaked his model was super tall (way taller than Zhongli) which fits how people describe him in game but they pussied out and gave him a standard male design. We coulda had it all Itto.

I dont need to listen to the other VAs Ittos EN VA is just the best. The only way anyone else could have competed is if the JP voice was the same VA as Franky from One Piece.

I used to really like Jean.... but I dont really care for her anymore. Tho I think she looks better in her censor outfit she still inexplicably has the detached sleeves....

All her voices are fine. EN and KR are probably the best.

Kazuha is unfortunately a victim to HYVs inability to implement good cloth movement in the game. The shorts look SUPER goofy but I guess its fine.... I think he'd look better with his hakama tucked in like Itto & Gorou rather than cut short... but W/e besides that his design is great. I like when characters dont exactly have the color of their element and the autumn maple leaf design of Kazu is great. His personality is also great. Super chill in even the most tense moments... with the exception for when Xinyans family were nitpicking her and he got annoyed. RELATABLE CONTENT.

I have an EXTREME soft spot for Keqing... she was my first 5-star and she helped me so much on Dragonspine when I had no business being in Dragonspine. LMAO Detached sleeves aside I rather like her standard outfit but her costume is MUCH cuter and if I had the money... I would have bought it in a heartbeat. I also like her personality for the most part tho she does bully the shit outta you if you stop moving for .5 seconds.

All her voices are pretty good but I still have a soft spot for her EN....

Klee is SO DAMN CUTE. Does her pale skin hair and red eyes make her look like a bit of a troglodyte? YES. but.... I mean... w/e. Shes very cute. Shame about her kit being so fucking clunky. My greatest achievement is incidentally getting Kazuha instead of her... I wanted her for how cute she was but I needed a good Anemo so i figured a 5-star Anemo would be best.... so I got him instead. Then his universal appeal and fun play style really helped me for a long ass time and people begged for his rerun cuz they skipped him. NOT ME BITCH.... anyways Klee is baby.

I think Klees EN voice is one of the most egregious when it comes to the 'this is obviously a grown woman doing a baby voice' and it takes me awhile to adjust to it... but she does have moments when she shines... like the birthday song. Her CN voice is best.

As I said with Ei... Kokos design reminds me of hers but I think its stylized better. Combined with her in-game movements... I think shes one of the more interesting Ina designed girls. She does have a lot of HYV typical girl design elements tho.... Also her lore and personality really didnt meet expectations. SORRY KOKO. I am suspicious about her lack of pupils... Vishap ass lore ass...

I dont really like any of her VAs either...

This is just Albedo in a sluttier outfit. MEH. Lore and personality-wise hes actually great! I love his relationship with his family its really a stand out big brother (ok Hoebedo) vibes.

I dont really mind any of Lyneys voices... his KR VA stands out?

Mona my babygirl. I used to hate her based on her design. I just didnt like the swimsuit look... but like Fish I ended up loving everything about her and she got a censor outfit that is much better and now shes one of my favorite characters. Shes a goofy broad. Loved her in the 2nd Summer event.

Her EN voice is BY FAR my favorite.

My baby Nahida... youre design is so fucking boring.... and I knew that even before I saw your extremely good concept arts. Luckily her personality and lore HARD CARRIES her to top tier.... and also her kit. Her kit is also good... tho I dont get why she got a weird digital aesthetic? Theres so much good aesthetic designs in the Persian empire you could went with so much... howd she end up so boring... I dont get it.

No complaints for any of her VAs but CN is my favorite.

UGH... on the opposite end of designs... Navias is fucking TERRIFIC. I actually love the dark navy blue with this goldenrod. I like her Princess Peach hair especially since in this Summer event she wore a Peach like crown(and a Mario mustache) her Lore is SO GOOD. I knew when she was added to the Summer event cast it AT LEAST would be better than last year the writers have never missed with Navia. AND I WAS RIGHT I loved this years Summer event. I think her character is what Kokomis character coulda been(impact-wise) in Inazuma was good. LMAO

Similar to Kazuha I sorta just incidentally pulled for Neuvillette since I had been saving to get Zhongli but my computer didnt come until the day after his banner ended so I was like ... fuckit. May as well get A dragon guy... turns out he was VERY good and I havent regretted it. I also managed to get his C1 and his BiS weapon... got super lucky as a reward for missing out on my C4 Zhongli that I had been waiting a year for...His lore and personality were a great surprise too. 10/10 would pull again.

I dont like JP voice... His EN voice is great but similar to Zhongli(hes SO SIMILAR TO ZHONGLI IN EVERY WAY) his EN voice gives a different vibe to his CN its weird. Theyre both so much more soft spoken... especially the fighting noises... whyd they do that? Weird. I love theyre EN voices tho so... w/e... at least they sound soft when theyre speaking normally.

Hi, I’m intrigued by the Night Court content I’m seeing from you. How did you start up with this show from 40 years ago? Which episodes give you Harry/Dan vibes? (Truly curious! I’m watching the show rn on FreeVee because of you.)

how did i begin watching night court, you ask?

okay so the story ACTUALLY begins several months earlier. i'd been seeing ads for new night court on tv, and i was like hey!! that's the guy from richie rich!! and so i looked up old night court on tvtropes and ao3, found some fics for the show, skimmed them, and moved on with my life.

THEN in november 2023 i got laid off (corporate reorgs my detested) (dw i have since found a new job) and started looking for non-indeed.com ways to fill my hours. cue another commercial for new night court, which was returning to nbc in january. huh, thought i, jokingly. wonder if anybody on here watches this.

one quick tumblr search informed me that there were, in fact, other people who watched this show. specifically the original show. and then i saw this post, thought 'boy that judge and that prosecutor sure have Something going on' and proceeded to devour all nine seasons over the course of two months. (then i caught up with the reboot and watched s2 as it aired.) i posted my first fic, Zeitnot, nine days after i started watching the show, and told my bestie caroline that now that it was up, i had gotten all of my night court thoughts and feelings out of my system and would shortly go back to finishing my other wips.

(narrator voice) she did not, in fact, get all her night court thoughts and feelings out of her system.

anyway so 90k+ words of night court fic later here i Still Am and here i Still Plan To Be for a good long while.

so why night court?

well, to begin, it's the wildest show i have ever seen in my life. it's set in - you guessed it - the night shift of a manhattan arraignment court during the 1980s. the judge (harry stone, played by harry anderson) is a gangly goofy cutie pie dork who loves magic and mel torme and sees the best in people and has the saddest backstory of any of the cast. the prosecutor (dan fielding, played by john larroquette, who won four emmy awards in a row for this role and would have won more if he hadn't taken himself out of consideration to give someone else a chance to win) is a womanizing lecherous pervert with a heart of gold, a sharp tongue, thick hair, and an ass you can bounce a quarter off of. harry shoots plastic snakes in dan's face in their very first meeting and by the end of the show the two are partners in shenanigans and platonic soulmates and perv4perv best friends. (another anon asked me my top harry/dan episodes; i'll answer that in their ask.) other characters include Tall As Fuck Intimidating Ditzy Bailiff Bull Shannon (richard moll), Spunky Naive Morally Upright Prude Public Defender Christine Sullivan (markie post), Hot Court Clerk Who Is Done With Everyone's Shit But Will Nonetheless Participate In The Shenanigans Mac Robinson (charlie robinson), and a collection of short, snarky, tough as nails bailiffs (selma diamond in s1-2, florence halop in s3, and marsha warfield in s4-s9).

the show is incredibly funny. if you don't like one joke wait five seconds and there will be another, even funnier one. physical comedy galore. hijinks and shenanigans everywhere. logic and realism? don't know her. wile e coyote once showed up as a defendant. dan once got so horny he locked himself in a closet and shoved a firehose down his pants. in another episode bull twisted dan into a human pretzel. it has to be seen to be believed.

but what i love most about night court is its heart (something that the sequel series has not found yet, but that's a rant for another day). the characters (at least as long as reinhold weege was involved with the show - again, a rant for another day) feel like real people. they have real flaws. they make hard decisions. they love with all their hearts, and we love them for it. they hurt, and we hurt with them. and the show - especially in the earlier seasons - balances the heart with the humor incredibly well. in 4.01, harry tries to reach out to his mother, who abandoned him when he was five, only to find out that she died, and the show does not shy away from his pain and conflicted emotions. that's the a-plot of the episode. in the b-plot, a ventriloquist's dummy commits suicide. not the ventriloquist. the dummy. and it's one of the best episodes of a start to finish stellar season.

Luckily, Hector and the kids need little convincing and arrive at The Roll With It Bowling Alley around the same time as the Laurents' employees. Let's put on those goofy shoes and get rolling!

I love the BFFs, but I made these guys, so they're all like my babies.

Drew is really good at the guitar, but really bad at bowling. Don't worry, The Laurents were too busy chatting to notice! Too bad their friends notice.

It's Ophelia's turn!

Xander: Too bad Hil couldn't convince Hector to hire Lemon as the singer and axe Tiff.

Moses: Don't remind me, Drew and I are the ones who will have to perform with her.

At least they didn't see Ophelia totally flop. She wonders what they're talking about.

Hector's a pro!

Greta: Way to go, Dad! You're the best! Tell those pins who's boss!

Drew: You trying to get a raise in your allowance?

Greta: No! I'm trying to get my curfew extended.

Moses: She doesn't want to tell us, ease up.

I didn't know that if a kid is bowling, they put bumpers up on the bowling lane. Fun feature!

Jace still manages to get a gutter ball somehow.

Hilary: It's okay, honey. Practice makes perfect!

Ophelia: You go to Copperdale High, huh? It's so weird, every Sim I've ever talked to also went to Copperdale High.

Greta: Yeah, weird, right? Small world.

Xander: Sorry for bugging you about your third trait earlier. You seem cool. I'm sure you have your reasons for keeping it to yourself. If Hilary trusts you, you gotta be a pretty good person.

Ophelia: ...You know what, you got me. It's lactose intolerant.

Everyone's hunger bars are looking a little yellow, so The Laurents treat everyone to a hummus and pita platter.

The way Hector and Hilary talk about their kids and how proud they are of how they're growing up, it makes Ophelia... uncomfortable. Parents can be like this?

Xander takes the opportunity to bond with his niece and nephew.

Jace: Wisp is the best Voidcritter! It can phase in and out of dimensions!

Xander: You're dreaming, kid! Pleuro's the best! It shoots water jets!

Greta: You guys are dorks... But Jace is right, Wisp is the best.

Ophelia steps outside for some fresh air. Later on, Drew joins her.

Drew: Doing okay? Nobody could find you.

Ophelia: Yeah, sorry. I'm not used to being around families that like each other. It's weird.

Drew: Tell me about it. My older brother still calls me a boogerhead.

Drew: Look, I don't know your deal. It's probably worse than being called a boogerhead. Either way, you're an honorary part of the Let Them Eat Cake family now. Moses and I are your new dads.

Ophelia: Aren't there gender neutral parent names?

Drew: Yeah, but Dad feels right.

Ophelia comes back in to play some arcade games with Xander and the kids. It's boys vs. girls!

Jace: Go, Uncle Xander!

Ophelia: Aw, come on! This game's rigged!

Greta: Maybe you just suck.

Ophelia: I should introduce you to my friend Summer.

Greta: Ah! We're in the lead!

Well it’s 1am but I absolutely have to finally write one of these posts, don’t read if you don’t wanna be teleported to a sad 1am post of mine from 5 years ago or be consumed by gigacringe (this post is not sad but cw for some as-expected negative mental health stuff/actions I’ll be mentioning, from my past.)

I really don’t think I can even begin to articulate how important Super Mario RPG is to me. When I was a kid - like I’m talking 2006-ish - my Thing(tm) was Earthbound. We didn’t say “fandom” back then. Besides Pokemon and Zelda, it became my THING and I fell so in love with it. A weird part of internet Earthbound culture back then was that you were mad at Super Mario RPG for making Earthbound sell poorly. I know, it’s insane, I was 15 cut me a fucking break.

So yeah that was all intrinsically linked with Smash, obviously. I was online during the pre-release of Brawl days, browsing places like /v/, and there was all this talk of this guy Geno. I didn’t know who Geno was! One time I did a Deviantart Journal “quiz” thing, and one question was, “Who is a video game character you hate?” My response was “I dunno, that Geno guy”. A friend of mine at the time was like “??? Like SMRPG Geno? How could you hate him?” and me being a teenager, I was like well, I’m annoyed that everyone talks about him.

Stuff got weird pretty quickly. An artist I had a goofy little crush on drew Geno. And I went, huh. Okay.

Then Brawl came out. I won’t even get into all of that because this is about SMRPG, but people ripped data off the disks and found unused stuff. Like unused music. I was mad about the unused Earthbound music, and the Ballad of the Wind Fish. Boo!

But then someone made a fun little album, called “Brawl - The Lost Tracks”. They got together “as official as possible” versions of the songs that had gone unused and only existed as text files on the disk. This included Beware the Forest’s Mushrooms (I’ve made angry posts before about how wrong the Cutting Room Floor page is about this track NOT being BTFM - ask me about it sometime and I’ll start screaming)

So one day I downloaded this little album. And I remember exactly where I was sitting, I listened to a couple of the EB songs like yeah, alright. Then there was a nice remix of the ballad of the wind fish. Then I saw beware the forest’s mushrooms and I thought, well. Why not. It’s a song. I like music.

It was the official arrange from the arrangement album. Until Memoria it was 100% the most beautiful rendition of the song to ever exist. And I lost my goddamn mind. I had never heard a song so gorgeous and I was instantly so upset with myself for being such a stubborn dork about SMRPG for so long (imagine that, me, stubborn!!)

So it all kinda hit me like a truck. I remember the day I first saved a piece of Geno fanart, like a day after I heard the song, and I was GOT. I thought oh, maybe he’s kinda cute, and it all just spiraled into hell. When I was a kid I was all into people drawing him as a Cool Anime Bishounen, but now I’m extremely cool and am like “Doll only, please!” unless it’s the goofy cute human design I have for him. But really I prefer doll. ANYWAYS.

During my high school years my life was... uh, rough. I was dealing with domestic violence in my home and we were more than once kicked out of our house and had to scramble to find a place to stay temporarily. While I was still just going to classes. I wound up failing my 11th grade English class because I often didn’t have access to a computer with internet or a printer and couldn’t do my assignments. My teacher didn’t ask why I was suddenly not finishing assignments, she just failed me. I went to summer school and it wound up being one of the best experiences of my life though. So, you know.

Throughout all this bullshit I like, had Geno. I had a reason to look up at the starry sky and make wishes and track meteor showers. It was something to like, keep my going again. Unsurprisingly I was DEEPLY struggling with my mental health. I was self-harming, and was just in general doing Very Fucking Not Great and felt like I had nowhere to turn. To this day my family like, doesn’t let me talk about this situation, and I received no help or support from any of them during this. Things are better now, but holy fuck, man. It was just my mom and I dealing with domestic violence and homelessness and no one was helping us.

But I had him. I had the “will he be in Smash someday?” shit. I had the Smash speculation community. I had SMRPG fans who were all like-minded cool people who loved how much I loved Geno, because they loved him too! He was like a fucking life raft for me in one of the worst periods of my whole existence and always felt like an anchor when things were spiraling out of control.

And it feels so corny to talk about it, because oh Nuke, you’re always dramatic about characters. But damn, did it fucking hurt when “friends” were just straight up fucking mean to me about Smash stuff for years on end. Damn did it hurt when I tried to express how important this shit was to me, and it was written off as me being ridiculous about a Video Game, you know? Would therapy have been good? Maybe. I tried it as an adult after being pressured into it by my ex and it was an actual nightmare because the only therapist in my area with hours compatible with my job who took my insurance was like 24 years old and told me straight to my face she didn’t want to talk about things I liked because she didn’t understand them. So maybe not! But I had this something, something so important to me, and it felt like everyone around me was so fucking Tired of me caring so much about something. It felt like everyone was tired of ME. And I was tiring of myself too, and it fucking sucked! It really did.

A couple years ago I finally let go of all the rage and sorrow in my heart and I’ve been doing so, so well. I found myself so suddenly surrounded by people who fucking care about me, and who are like “Oh, I don’t know that character, tell me about them! You love them so much!”, and people who invite me over to their house to just sit and watch Transformers or build model kits. People tell me to my face “I don’t think you’re annoying” when I compare myself to Rodimus, and I get actively invited to things. Wow! It’s been so fucking NICE. It sucks to have such nightmares in my past to compare this all to, but man, the difference is insane.

So it’s like. I wanted this to happen years ago. I wanted them to announce a SMRPG remake, or something, a few years ago when I was at my worst, when people were treating me like shit, when friends of my SO were being huge assholes to me only for my SO to say ��hmm I think you’re making that up because you’re dramatic”.

But it didn’t. And I got through everything with my own strength. And now I’m at my absolute best, and I get this now. I get it once I’ve moved past all those miserable negative people who treated me like garbage. I don’t have to rub it in their faces and be like “Look, I got this far, I’ve made it and I won over all the SHIT”. Because none of them are here anymore and they don’t matter to me.

I got so many messages across all my social medias, even from people who I haven’t actually spoken to in some time (but still exist in internet circles with, you know how online friendships are), so many people saying oh my god, Nuke, I’m so happy for you, holy shit congratulations, this is amazing I can’t believe it.

I love you all so fucking much, I love Super Mario RPG so fucking much, all of you and this game are so important to me I don’t even know if 4k more words of rambling nonsense can express it. I am at such a good place in my life now, I want to spread that positivity and do my best to be good to people and to the world that has been so good to me these past few years. Despite how this year started, it hasn’t felt like a negative shroud over me. Just another challenge to overcome, and I’ve overcome literally everything put in front of me so far. Nothing is phasing me anymore and I’m doing so GREAT.

I’m so happy the remake is happening at a time when I’m at my best. I didn’t need anyone to save me before, and now this will just lift me higher. And I can truly enjoy it, as a joyful gift, as opposed to hoping it will be a life raft getting me out of a flood. I can truly enjoy it for what it is and what it’s meant to be.

A beautiful, delightful, very funny little video game, about Mario and all his weird little friends.

I don’t think I’ll even mind having to say goodbye to Geno at the end, again. Because I know now, there’s nothing stopping him from coming back.

And hey, SMRPG’s not a very long game. I can always replay it. And Geno will always be there.

“How's Felix been?”

“He’s still unstable but the hanahaki hasn’t progressed any further. The higher ups are throwing a fit though since I vouched that it was safe,” I replied, pulling off my glasses to bury my face into my pillow.

“They may throw a fit but this is a big breakthrough, all things considered, so they won’t do anything severe. Plus it’s not like you aren’t monitoring them, that big heart of yours can’t leave people alone anyways,” my soulmate commented as she popped her head in from the bathroom.

“I know but it’s still dangerous for both of them if they aren’t careful. It’s reckless.”

“My love you speak as if you weren’t just as reckless if not more back in university,” she quipped as she joined me in bed.

“In my defense, it wasn’t a life threatening condition.”

“I mean nearly allowing your soulmate you were madly in love with to leave while you hid your feelings when your disease would have ruined your career and in time restructured your entire life sounds like a different type of life threatening.”

      I groaned, turning away from my soulmate, she has far too much fun reminding me of it. Constantly. I could hear her quietly laugh at my actions before I felt her warmth, pressing itself into my back.

“But you didn’t deny the madly in love part.”

“I’m pretty sure I let you know that every day you dork,” I responded as I held her hands that snaked around my torso.

      To think I spent years with my soulmate without realizing… we can thank our mark for that. The most important thing your soulmate says to you, tattooed on your body. Meaning it could be said by anyone at any time, not to be mistaken with the mark of each other’s first words etched onto our skin. The first encounter was in a random prerequisite class and we were two hot headed freshmen with contrasting opinions.

“Are you stupid or ignorant?” 

      Those were the first words she said to me and mine weren’t any nicer. It was snide comments, little digs, and sharp quips until the cliché “enemies” paired on a project. Little-miss-literature-student tried to solo the assignment without me knowing and after a few choice words, some in various volumes from frustration, we learned the other wasn’t as bad as we initially thought. Both the project and class were passed with flying colors and like most people, we fell out of contact… that is until the middle of our third year.

“We only bickered in freshman year and barely kept in touch… I wouldn’t really say we’re friends,” she mumbles before her voice picks up again, “Hyein, I’m alone… someone I thought was a friend backstabbed me over a stupid boy I’m not even interested in so now the rest of the group has black listed me and-”

“I’m sorry, y/n is drunk. Could you please come get her?” A female’s voice spoke over the phone, muffling y/n’s rambling.

      Y/n wasn’t wrong but I couldn’t help but uselessly worry when she was drunk and alone, that’s why I was lacing up my shoes at the ungodly hour of one in the morning. Dim room, warm yellow lights, vintage bar counter, and a lone girl sitting on a bar stool leaning against her hand. Her hair had fallen into her face as she was still ranting on to the waitress. As I approached quietly I gestured my phone at the poor girl and she smiled graciously before leaving me with y/n.

“Hyein? Where are- Man I must be plastered if I’m seeing Chan. There’s no way he’d come,” she mumbled to herself as she brushed her hair out of her face and squinted her eyes at me.

“At least you are aware. It’s time to go home, can you walk okay?”

      She suddenly leaned in close to my face, causing me to flinch back, unsure of what she was up to. Her eyes stayed trained on my face as a goofy grin pulled across her face. In my confusion I couldn’t help but laugh off the tension of her ridiculous actions. At that her hands came up and cupped my face.

“You have a nice smile… Chan’s smile is always so pretty.”

      My entire body froze in place as heat scorched its way up my neck to my ears and I prayed it didn’t show in my face. I pulled her hands away, now hyper aware of the girl in front of me and any unpredictable moves she may pull in her inhibited state. After ten minutes of a conversation going nowhere, I stopped to regroup my thoughts on how to get her home when she refuses to tell me her address. Without warning her body suddenly collided with mine and out of reflex I caught her legs as she snaked her arms around my neck with an elated giggle.

“Y/n it’s late, how about we go home?” I asked as I moved towards a main road to hail a cab.

“Home? Home sounds nice,” she hums as she rests her chin on my shoulder.

“Yeah so where is your place?”

“It’s by the campus but if I tell you where, you’ll leave me alone too, won’t you?”

      The dejected tone in her voice reminded me why she was in this state… and something about all this stirred something in me. Maybe it’s because I was being too nosy or maybe I just knew she would be too stubborn but instead of asking further, my feet began to move in a familiar direction. I think she realized that I wasn’t gonna just drop her off as a silence, unbefitting after the tomfoolery a few moments ago, fell over us although I was just glad she seemed to relax. Mulling in the silence for a while, her voice suddenly brushed past my ear. It was softer than her normal tone, wispy, almost dream-like and it made me wonder what was going through that head of hers.

“I wish I could see the stars better but I like the city where there is always light. That means there’s always at least one person awake with me.”

“Did you see them often when you were younger? Stars I mean.”

“Yeah… they made things feel less bad…”

      She had trailed off but by the tightening of her grip, this was territory neither of us wanted to delve into. It’s not a pleasant feeling to wake up spilling your deepest secrets to someone random so I saved her the internal turmoil and changed the topic. With her stubbornness and the circumstance, I took her to the one place that was both close to campus and free of my nosy roommate. It was a quaint little room I rented out as a study; only big enough for a desk and small couch which she curled up onto. Although y/n easily found comfort with a cushion in hand, rather than sleep she continued to ramble on even as she fought to keep her eyes open. I wondered what she thought she would achieve by doing this but I entertained her nonetheless. The initial plan was to leave a note explaining the situation once she was asleep but when the room grew quiet, the rhythm of her breathing and the never ending vocabulary on my study cards lulled me to sleep somewhere between the ungodly hours and sunrise. To simplify what happened after, I was shaken awake by her knocking into my chair as she tried to sneak away which led to an awkward conversation and a promise of a meal.

      One meal led to the occasional text which turned into studying together during exams then we were hanging out and calling regularly. Graduation came and the time between grew as we both became busy with our own things but we stayed close. I hadn’t realized how accustomed to our routine I was until there was a shift. Months passed with little smiles at her phone, spacy gazes, and this growing distance I couldn’t place the reason for. It wasn’t until I was out one day at a bookstore did everything fall into place. As I made my way home my eyes caught y/n across the street but before I could greet her my words got caught in my throat. Interlocking hands, an unfamiliar style of clothes for someone who dressed for comfort rather than style, but the biggest nail in the coffin was the way she smiled. It was one that happened rarely, one so bright that others couldn’t help but follow in suit, and one I’ve only ever seen once when she was intoxicated and yet… he was able to see it so effortlessly. Why did it sit unpleasantly in my stomach? My head was a mess. I knew better than to interrupt but it was too late, our eyes connected. For a moment surprise crossed her face before she beamed at me as she ran over, the guy in tow.

“Chan! What a coincidence, it’s been a bit. How are you?”

“I’m good, just stopped in the area for a reference book,” I replied with a half smile as I flashed my bag as evidence.

“Is it for one of your specialized classes?”

“Yeah I’ll tell you about it later, I don’t want to interrupt anything,” I state as my eyes darted to the man beside her, smiling patiently.

“Oh yeah. It’s kind of abrupt but this is Jiwoo, my childhood friend and…”

“Boyfriend. It’s nice to meet you Chan, I’ve heard a lot about you from y/n,” he held his hand out and I shook it in return.

“Haha, hopefully good ones. It’s nice meeting you Jiwoo but I really should go now,” I feign looking at my phone as if I had somewhere to be. “ Dang I’m actually running late so I’ll see you later y/n.”

-And oh, tavris they are doing you both dirty. like, its an improvement that vriska actually says something positive to him and that tavros did speak up against her at some points. but the narrative doesnt really want them to grow as a person. i think hussie has gotten too attached to vriska the unapologetic thief of light to the point that its reflecting badly on her and other's character development. okay fine i did say i wont take it seriously, but im a writer too. ofc i will notice the issues.

- this might be an unpopular opinion but i like the elevatorstuck music. gamzee is like, getting close to be my scrunkly like i know he does atrocities but he is really funny when doing it.

-the lands for the alpha kids are really fascinating. its less lively than the beta kids but im glad i actually get to experience the puzzles they have to solve on quests and its relations with the players' classpect. i want to see jane fulfilling her planets wish to be green and fertile. she gets too much shit talk from caliborn so i want to see her get a win yknow? and she's so goofy like her beta counterpart i want to see her happy and silly like egbert too.

-speaking of egbert, im kinda worried for him. can you believe it? he doesnt like con air anymore. i've been in his phase of starting to lose all joy in things i used to like and feeling lonely even with people around me and its not pretty. i know he went through a lot. i hope the experience with the dream bubble would make him happier even if just for a bit

-and another beta kids i want to be sad about: davesprite! he's so alone. all of his friends from the timeline is gone, he's not the main dave anymore and john keeps treating him like a replacement. its like he's relegated to a nobody who happens to have a recognizable face. poor guy.

-and to be sad again, i know i made fun of karkat a lot, but i have the biggest parental instinct for him. aside from terezi. he's the biggest crier out of the group. he's shouty and annoying but thats very much the kind of annoying shit that children do yknow? at first i dont like him because of his attitude to jade, but slowly i did warm up to him. he never really hated anybody and most of his tantrums are generally harmless to other people. in fact, he blames himself a lot about things that are out of his control. he's the one with the least body count from the rest of the trolls and he literally had to grew up hunted and unwanted by society. i want to give him a hug, i truly do.

Since you bring it up, for anyone coming here who doesn't know, I'm in a rock band! My bandmates' names are Cleff and Winona, and we're called the Suckers. Naturally, I'm the lead singer on most of our songs, and because of some things that happened, I'm also the drummer. Secret talent! We're a cover band, and we're kind of all over the place musically, but we're all darn good musicians and we're pretty popular in Burbank!

Anyways, my relationship with my siblings is pretty good! Wakko and I are brothers, but we're pretty much each other's best friends now. Wakko is the BIGGEST fan of my band. He's always the one cheering the loudest at our shows and offering me words of encouragement. He's also always happy to lend an ear whenever I'm going through something. He's the best little bro I could ask for!

Now, Dot and I clash a bit more than we used to. She REALLY doesn't like it when I practice, but I can't just NOT practice, you know? I can't just let myself get rusty, not to mention all of my adoring fans! Then there's Dot's obsession with fashion these days. It's a little weird to me, since you know, we can pull whatever clothes we want out of hammerspace, but hey, she can do her. Regardless of all that, Dot and I are still close.

As for me and my bandmates, I'm pretty close with Cleff and Winona! They're like my older siblings! Let me tell you, as the oldest of my actual siblings, it's nice to feel like the youngest for once. Cleff and I have been best friends for a while now, and we still are! He's always been there for me and I try my best to be there for him too. Sometimes, Cleff's so unconfident in himself that it makes me want to slap him, but I never would. He's too sweet! Now, Winona and I have these really similar senses of humor, and it's caused us to get along really well even though I barely knew her before we scouted her out. She calls me a dork a lot, but honestly, that's fair. I do some goofy stuff.

little phase 1/2/3 marvel rant

I feel like something good that we lost from the Thor/Iron Man/Captain America movie trio that we got these past few years and won't get anymore is the different content the movies brought, as well as the different aesthetics

like these three characters are completely different, with Tony being a self-centered, egotistical, workaholic who is extremely smart and responds to everything with irony while pretending to have no feelings, Thor is a lovable dork that doesn't have everything in place in the upstairs chamber. He is pretty in love with himself and is quite "dumb" but he still got a big heart and always puts his loved ones first, although he fucks up quite a bit he always has good intentions. And finally, Cap although he is the king of altruism and putting others first, he let himself be controlled by his emotions which often put him in tricky situations, but he always chose to do good even when it came in his detriment,

One thinks with the brains, the other with the brawn and the other with the heart, and these differences heavily impact their behaviour, their choices, and consequently how the movie follows.

Now it seems like Marvel thinks they hit the goldmine and are aiming for the same thing in every character. Every character is funny and goofy while still being very smart, and knowing what to do at all times. They all put the best interest of the general public before their own and they all respond to stuff with quirky comebacks. It's like they took all the good things about cap, thor and iron man and injected them into every single character without giving them visible flaws, like they did to those three, and it makes the characters feel like... characters.

The relatability of cap, iron man and thor is on the fact that they are flawed, it makes them feel human (even though those is a god but whatever), and all these characters whose flaws are like "he's too nice" or "she's a little annoying" end up being irritating cause it's like marvel can't (for the fucking life of them) give characters flaws. That's what gives these characters personality.

You can see these flaws and such in older characters that are still present in phase 4 like Wanda and Loki which I really appreciate because it doesn't make them feel hollow.

Something that I also hate is how every movie looks the same. In this trio you could tell a very big difference between the styles of the movie so it didn't get tiring to look at because it was always different, namely thor having a lot more colour (aside from the dark world, but we don't talk about that movie) and cap being a lot darker and colder.

I just find it tiring that every time I see new Marvel content it just looks like everything else they've ever made and worse of all, it also feels like everything else they've ever made. It's tiring and it's boring and it's getting harder to enjoy these movies.
