The fanon idea of Horror being the taller of the group wins me because i am sucker for size difference. Even if following his canon, iii think his body is very thin and spidery (not literally).

Well, let's see. In Horrortale The Core is screwed up and that affects the monsters (Grillby is burning alive, for example) so it's not crazy to think that the extreme conditions in which the monsters live affect the morphology of their bodies. Maybe it reduces them to a more primitive state? Not in the sense of a reduction in cognitive abilities, but rather that their bodies adapt to hunt.

So you have a monstrous and huge Sans (or not so huge) but his fingers, I think unlike Dust or Killer, are much sharper to be able to tear. He doesn't look "fat" nor is he, I think his bones would be more accentuated so he wears baggy clothes because I doubt Horror likes how he looks or what he's become.

I also love the idea that he has long, thin cracks at the corners of his mouth, you know? like little veins. In general, seeing his face is scary at first glance, I think.

u know what part where liu bei is sheltering in jing province and cai mao decides to frame him by writing a seditious poem in his room? and then lui biao takes one look and is like "ok there is NO way my redneck cousin wrote something this complex and thoughtful with absolutely ZERO spelling mistakes. he was framed." AND HE WAS SPOT ON. imagine having literacy skills so low that even the King of Unnecessary Embellishment was like 'hey man there's only so much disbelief i can suspend here.'

also while im here, it's my personal opinion that all the warlords that came from the peasantry are functionally illiterate and rely entirely on their aids + secretaries. liu bei in particular only had one years worth of formal education (and spent most of that time ditching). the chinese alphabet is non-phonetic and super difficult to learn. you quite literally have to memorise every single word. I've been learning for 8+ years starting from childhood and am still barely past kindergartener level. the minute u stop writing u just start forgetting words. my guy can AT BEST sign his own name and recognise standards. wonder how many times he's had to pull the old "aiya can someone pls tell me what that flag says...the sun/dust/wind is in my eyes.”

Soul-based magic (e.g. the original Vengeful Spirit, Howling Wraiths, and Desolate Dive) is a highly technical art that takes a lot of skill to bring it to its full potential. It's a very intricate practice, but advanced mages(?) like the Pale King can do incredible things with it. Ghost, however, having received very little formal training in it, only really knows the bare minimum required to cast their three spells (and to heal through Focusing their Soul).

Void-based magic (the Shade's versions of the three spells), meanwhile, is more like a blunt-force approach that uses its sheer power to mimic the things Soul spells can do. While Soul magic works with the universe to weave powerful spells within its laws, like carefully making its way through a complex maze, Void magic forces the universe to bend to its will, bulldozing through the walls of the maze to reach its desired end result.

Soul magic that has been infused with Void (e.g. Shade Soul, Abyss Shriek, and Descending Dark) create the most powerful spells possible, especially when used offensively. It combines the technical skill and potential of Soul magic with the pure power of Void magic, giving it the best of both worlds and making for a terrifying combo. There are very few who are able to take the powers of Soul and use it to cast magic, though, and even less who can survive being exposed to Void for any prolonged period of time. Ghost, Hollow, and the other vessels are probably the only ones capable of wielding such spells.

As a Shade/in their Void form, Ghost lacks the coordination and control required to manipulate Soul and cast spells with it, especially since it's not something they're made of themselves anymore. So, instead they're forced to use pure Void spells rather than their stronger infused ones. It's a lot more exhausting for them to do, since all the Void energy they're expelling comes directly from them, rather than using the excess Soul they've absorbed and stolen from other beings. So, unless they have an easy way to replenish their Void or something, Ghost can't usually cast as many Void spells in rapid succession compared to Soul or Infused Soul spells. (Like how the in-game Shade can only cast as many spells as the player has Soul containers)
