You can’t tell me that Ryunosuke was mentally okay after having to spend nearly two months in the room where his best friend died after desperately having to prove that he wasn’t the one who did it. He felt like he had to pick up his dead friends dreams and belongings because it would be suck a waste for them to be abandoned. He took on a whole career that he explicitly stated terrified him because he couldn’t stand letting Kazuma or Susato down.

Anyway there’s some psychological horror to being trapped in the room where someone you loved died just feet away from where you were sleeping for weeks and weeks with the only thing to occupy your mind being relentlessly studying to replace him.

The only picture he had of Kazuma was the crime scene photo staged to look like he was implicating him for the crime and he wouldn’t be able to just throw it away.

You just cannot tell me this guy didn’t suffer some amount of psychological distress and constant nightmares on the way to Great Britain.

Man I have gone thru every emotion with this project but it finally has ended happily!!

This is 2 oz of the 4 that I got at Black Sheep this year, first spin on my new (to me - she's 35 years old!) Schacht Matchless wheel. I really had a hell of a time with this fiber - it was very well prepared but with my health problems I had a really hard time keeping it consistent. It's overspun and under spun, overplied and under plied, slubby thru some of the silk portions and suddenly way thinner thru the purple. Which is why I was shocked that it was perfectly balanced when I took it off the noddy. I'm thrilled bc I was giving up hope on it being suitable for the intended project - I think it'll make a beautiful warp! I was intending to have the other half be the weft and make a fun weird plaid but seeing it in the skein I think that will be too busy and I'll use plain black alpaca instead. It's 282 yards so it'll have to be a pretty big shawl but that's hardly a problem! I'm just so relieved that it's actually balanced.

Personal Head cannon:

Enid is the surprisingly smart kid. the kid you never see studying yet has almost perfect grades. (she study’s super late at night into the morning hours) the one teachers expect do do horribly because all she does is talk in class and are surprised when she turns in work better than most of her peers. Always gets her work done before the due date (at the very last minute but still) the one everyone thinks needs to be tutored only to find out she IS a tutor. Enid doesn’t necessarily hide her intelligence she just doesn’t flaunt it and lets people make their own assumptions.

Wednesday is the annoyingly smart kid. She is always correcting the teacher and shouting out answers and the teachers can’t get all that mad because she’s always right. always finds a loop hole to make whatever the assignment is gory/ dark/ macabre in some way. she’s gotten kicked out of multiple classes because teachers couldn’t/ wouldn’t deal with her but even they admit she’s smart as hell. Wednesday doesn’t flaunt her intelligence on purpose she just always knows the answer and doesn’t have the patience to wait for other people to answer.
