Hey everyone!

My name is anxious, or Anx for short, and I’m new to tumblr!!

- Dying Star, a Toga and Ochako Sci-fi/fantasy AU, where I give them the ending they deserve, after the worst trials a person could ever face.

I’m a huge Fanfiction and Oc content writer, and I have two stories I’m currently working on right now!

Secondly, I have my own characters in a story that’s named (for the time being)

This one, I want to get actually published but I feel as if since I have the creative rights over my own content, characters and ideas. I will post it online as gauge peoples enjoyment and ideas!

This is (relatively) Spicy slow burn hallmark type queer romance novel I wanted to make just because, it’s cute and fun. And I wanna do something for practice before I start my medieval fantasy journey (I’m drafting ideas already haha…)

And for myself!! I’m 20 years old, gender fluid, and my job is at a pet store where I help adopt out the CUTEST kitties ever, and regular pet store stuff haha.

I’m also a college student which is why I’m gonna be a little sporadic with my postings, I promise I won’t forget this blog though!!

I get so pissed when im going to read something about my favorite character, and it's smut WITH ZERO WARNING.

No 18+, no NSFW, no MDNI and it isnt even in the fucking tags. I dont wanna read that shit. Put the damned warnings there for the love of all that is green on this earth it takes two seconds. maybe a bit more, but if you could pump out 3.4k words of pure porn, I think you can handle a couple of tags and warnings

I am a minor, and i use those warnings, so I dont read straight-up porn!! I also dont need to read about incest accidentally because there was NO warning, and it was NOT in the tags!!

(And for those of you who do put warnings, i thank you and wish the best in life!)

(I am also well aware that a lot of people dont listen to dnis like that, but it's helpful for the people trying to avoid reading stuff like that)

Also, while im on the subject, let's not sexualize minors in media. Yeah their hot, i can see that. But i dont want to see the start of an NSFW alphabet for a 15/16 year old. Aged up my ass. Just put the beginning below the cut?? And not after the first four letters??

I do NOT need to know a fav characters preferred body part is the tits thank you very much. I definitely do not need to accidentally read that they wanna suck on it like a damned bottle.

These characters are kids, CHILDREN, and you as an adult (if you are one) should not be writing smut about them, aged up or not. You should not be thirsting over a sophmore when theres PLENTY of good looking adults that you can be.

Theres a difference in growing up liking a character and having a crush on them and growing out of it when you're an adult. And being an adult thirsting over a teenage boy. It's not cute. it's not 'oh, it's fine because he/she's not real'.

Its really fucking gross actually.

At the end of the day just tag your stuff correctly. That way its easier for everyone else to find EXACTLY what they wanna read. Because at this point im just gonna start reporting fics with no warnings at the beginning.

Someome younger than me with no parents looking through their devices could stumble on that, and not know what it means, read it, and be scarred for life.

I was reading that stuff way way way too earlier and its fucked up my mental state a bit so if we collectively start putting in the effort to help prevent this from happening to another 11 year old or younger than we should do so.

Start gatekeeping fandoms like creepypasta from young kids, start tagging shit correctly

Another child does not need to end up somewhat hypersexul with very violent intrusive thoughts by the time they hit high school because their parents wouldn't look out for them, and the fandom did NOTHING to try to prevent it.

Its not your job to parent the kid, and to look over their should. Thats not what im saying.

It IS your job to, again, tag shit correctly, put warnings for gore, bluring violent images, saying outright that a certain game/book/story/etc your recommending is NOT for kids due to its violent nature/sexual content/etc. Reporting accounts of children under the age limit for social media (i.e., a 10 year old with discord or instagram) (it is breaking the T.O.S)

Act like that one lgbtq+ chat room website I was on for a couple weeks where all the adults kinda looked out for me a bit. And supported me figuring out who I was and collectively riped a guy to shreds after I blasted him at a failed attempt to groom me. (And told me I had done exactly the right thing in this situation. Also, hi, if you know who I am from there!!!) (Story time if ya'll want I look back and think its the funniest thing ever how I dealt with him 💀)

You know what really gets me about all villains is that at one point they were just kids who were so neglected, kids who didn’t understand how to process and make sense of their extreme, traumatic, complex situations … At some point that monster you hate so vehemently was an abused, scared, lonely and confused child, an innocent person— somebody who simply ended up doing their best, doing what they knew how to do — doing something we all could’ve ended up doing, had we grown up with their brain chemistry in their shoes. We all just know what we live, and live what we know. You can’t blame a child for not knowing better. I even argue that you can’t blame adults for not knowing better, if they were never taught, never pulled from the darkness. It doesn’t excuse their actions. I am not justifying that. But this explanation just makes the whole situation so, so, sad.

It's come to my attention I've posted a post where I show my fic word count from what I read last year and did not explain where I got the number!

BOOKTOWER

An absolutely amazing website I discovered this last year on tik tok. You can add fanfics, books/graphic novels/manga, and webcomics to this website, and organize them into customizable bookshelves to keep track of what you've read!

And that's not all!! By adding in the required information about each readable you add to your library, it gives you statistics on what you've read!

I of course have yet to add all my fanfics I've read on AO3, I've only added the fics I've read throughout 2024 and 2025, so my data is not yet complete, but there is a reason for that! Around mid February, Booktower is coming out with a 'Wrapped' of our readables! So those people who have no computer to use the Google spreadsheets to make your own AO3 Wrapped?(I've got a computer I'm just lazy) We gotcha covered!

All In all, Booktower is a lovely website that I'm so proud to be in the community discord. If you happen to sign up and join the discord, come say hi and that I sent you!

(And yes, I've read more than 3 books in my life, I've just prioritized adding fanfiction to the site over real books. Trust me, my future library is up to 300 books by now)

Trapped in Alternate Universes

Why I Can't Part with My Favorite Characters?

Sometimes I catch myself unable to let go of my favorite characters. I keep reading stories created by other people as if they are canon, as if somewhere in the universe, they really exist. I convince myself that their adventures continue, that they are alive and happy in the worlds others have created for them. But the deeper I delve into these alternative universes, the more I feel how it breaks my heart.

Each new chapter, every fanfic, is like a window into a world I am not destined to see with my own eyes. I can only sit in my room, reading the lines printed on the screen, and dream that I could be there with them. I know it's just fiction, just words born of someone's imagination, but to me, it’s more than that. It's a way to keep a connection with those I've come to love, and even though it sometimes hurts, I can't stop.

I can't be there in reality, but maybe, somewhere in a parallel universe, these stories are real, and my favorite characters live on, continuing their journeys. And until then… I'll just keep reading.

Hypothetically enemies to lovers is not really possible in real life is it?

Personally I don't think I'm up for it and am better off just writing and reading about it. First of all I don't have enemies because enemies is the opposite of lovers and I don't like to give someone I don't like that much of importance. Second of all, I try to avoid the people I don't like much so no way are we bantering all the time.

Now, that was all just personal. If you speak on a broader scale, how many people whom you've disliked before, have you ever become friends with? Do you know anyone who used to hate someone and they became friends. Not just friends but lovers?

I mean, surely there must have been something bad which they did or said or maybe something terrible happened which is the reason why two people are enemies, right? So, how are you going to overcome their misdeeds? Or did they become a better person? Did they change their bad habit? And you might also be a part of the problem since enemies is also a relationship and it takes two to make one. So what was the change? And even if there is a change it will have to be massive since you guys are basically enemies.

Thus, I think that this trope is only possible in fiction but not in real life.

 I haven’t been a very good chronicler of my book hoarding habits lately. This lovely stack is a mix of multiple stores, online, and little free library finds! If I’m honest this isn’t even everything from the last month...whoops. At least most of the other books are from the local little free libraries giving my budget a break. My gremlin habits were also very happy to find the Eraserhead Pop on clearance at TJ Maxx of all places!!!
