Mohamed Aziz, a 72-year-old bookseller, living in Rabat, Morocco, spends 6 to 8 hours a day reading books. Having read over 5000 books in French, Arabic, and English, he remains the oldest bookseller in Rabat, spending more than 43 years in the same location. When asked about leaving his books unattended outside, where they could potentially be stolen, he responded that those who can't read don't steal books, and those who can, aren't thieves.

I need more of Armand flexing his power.
I need angry feral foaming at the mouth Armand.
He is a 500+-year-old demonic creature with the face of a fucking angel.
If he doesn't start unleashing his inner evil Stitch, I will lose it.
This fucking man has had me down bad crying at the gym since I first learned of him.

Books to read if you liked avatar the last Airbender
If you enjoyed elemental elements of avatar and how it was all about balance and strong independent female main characters with azulas intelligence might I suggest
1. The poppy wars trilogy written by R.F kuang (check trigger warnings for this series as it's an incredibly heavy book and not recommended for children)
If you enjoyed uncle irohs love of tea and wisdom and just genuinely enjoy stories revolving around healers and a unique magic system as well fighting a corrupt spirits might I suggest
2. A magic steeped in poison duology by Judy I Lin
If you enjoyed the more combative elements of avatar where it included the elements and bending with them and the martial arts portion and want a story more akin to zuko with his twin blades and his alter ego the blue spirit or the scenes with ba sing se where the earth king has no idea about the 100 year war and when he finds out his whole world is turned upside down might I suggest
3. The sword of kaigan by M.L Wang
Only in this one it doesn't center on adults but children of prominent powerful families..
..
Now if you simply want more stories within the world of avatar I suggest
4. The rise of kyoshi by F.C Yee
5. The shadow of kyoshi by F.C Yee
6. The dawn of yangchen by F.C Yee
7. The legacy of Yangchen by F.C Yee

Thanks to the publisher for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review
βœ©πŸ—‘οΈπŸ₯€Review:
A dark, tragic, and haunting reimagining of Shakespeare’s most famous villainess.
β€œLady Macbeth” follows Roscille after she is wed to a Scottish brute, who does not leave his warrior ways behind when he comes to the marriage bed. To survive his hostility and dangerous court, she relies on her wiles and hidden witchcraft.Β
I am quite the Shakespeare fanatic and β€œThe Tragedy of Macbeth” is one of my favorite plays precisely because of how cunning and ruthless Lady Macbeth’s character is. I gravitated toward this novel because I was curious about Reid’s take on the character and though this is not the play retold from her point-of-view, I enjoyed it for what it is! Reid’s reimagining gives Lady Macbeth her own name, a past, and occult power that cleverly expands on Shakespeare’s original work. In Reid’s rendition, she captures a woman living in a patriarchal society who has her voice violently taken away by the men around her. Roscille’s fear surrounding abuse at the hand of men is what fuels her scheming and manipulationβ€”what ultimately turns her into Lady Macbeth. She doesn’t want a crown, she wants to survive. She uses her beauty as a weapon in retaliation against those holding her womanhood against her. She finds power in her rage, which she acts on only after it has festered. I think that is the key difference between Roscille and Shakespeare’s Lady Macbethβ€”in a world that does not favor women, she is less ambitious and more reactive in a sense. This new portrayal took some getting used to, but once I did, I appreciated how it widened my perspective.Β
I was entranced by Reid’s atmospheric and lyrical writing. The intention and power behind each and every word adds depth to Roscille’s character, showing the extent of her wiles and smarts. The bits of proverbial wisdom Reid sprinkles throughout allow her to emulate the bard himself in her own way. What I love most is how Reid uses various names for each character to reflect the different languages being spoken at the time.
➾ NOTE: After careful reflection and reading reviews written by my peers, it has been pointed out that this book can be interpreted as xenophobic. Intentional or not, most, if not all, of the Scottish charactersβ€”an ethnic group that Roscille does not belong toβ€”are underdeveloped and described as brutish, violent, and evil. This characterization is unfair and in no way pays homage to the source material.Β
