Supernatural September - Day 4 | Glitch

Canonically, Dean never said Cas’ name after the fake phone call in 15.19. Canonically, while Bobby said Cas “Helped” revamp Heaven into a Heaven that Dean “deserved,” Cas never showed up. Canonically, Dean left that heaven, which contained his family, to go “find family.”

There is a glitch that is Cas-shaped, and Dean knows it.

The words die, putrid and rotting on his tongue. Sam is bent over Dean on the bed. Dean’s hand is curled against Sam’s head, thumb on Sam’s cheekbone. Sam’s hands are braced gently on Dean’s chest, just above the bandages. They’re kissing. On the mouth.

Or: Bobby finds out."

Consider,,, the 118 is working on the plane crash, Eddie and Chim are teamed up together. The 133 comes to help, Captain Mehta sees Eddie and comes up to say hi.

Mehta: hey, Diaz! Where’s your partner?

Eddie: ah, he’s working with someone else today, he should be on the southwest side

Mehta: well, if you ever want to bring him on another poker date he’s more than welcome,,, just so long as he doesn’t gain anymore math superpowers

Chim drops whatever he’s holding and whips around to look at Eddie who looks like he’s just been struck dumb. Internally, Eddie is combing through all of his memories of Buck, realizing that maybe their relationship has never been quite as platonic as he thought. That maybe his feelings for Buck have never been platonic.

They’re at a disaster, though, and they can’t talk about it. They don’t say anything until they get back to the station, where Chim drags Eddie outside to talk.

Chim: Eddie…

Eddie: you can’t tell anyone, Chimney. I can’t… I won’t put Buck through any sort of conversation about all of *gestures at himself* this unless I know for sure what I want. Who I want.

Cue Chimney trying to keep a secret, Eddie being so, so fucking weird, and Buck being in his own personal hell because suddenly Eddie is avoiding him and spending all of his time with Chim of all people.

- Tubbo having a panic about being a father at 19 then joining the misclicks

- Pepito having no parents online and being talked to by AyPierre and Bagi while Quackity is doing lore

- pepito going to bed and then roier getting on

- Pol coming online and Sunny wanting to meet him but him being told he has a child and leaving to play suika game

- Bagi traumatising and lore dropping on new egg Em

- the future conflict of Bagi explaining how bad/dangerous Cucurucho is to Em and then having Jaiden as another mother who likes them

- tubbo building a train house with and for his new child Sunny

- Bad and Bagi having to run around clearing mines to protect the eggs

- Roier sharing his 'Mexican traditions' with Pepito and knocking him twice and then leaving him buried under a cross with a RIP before logging off

Alone In The City (And Nobodies Coming For Me) (18.5k)

SUMMARY On a day off, Evan Buckley sleeps through his apartment building catching fire and ultimately crumbling around him. He wakes up alone and scared. There is so much he's never said to so many people he loves. A few people in particular. Basically I wrote Whump!Buck because I have no self control. (Hurt/Comfort and Angst with a Happy Ending)

Basically I wrote a fic where the loft catches fire. All Buck wants is his dad (Bobby). Also Buddie feels at the end!!! This can be read as a standalone, although eventually I plan on writing a second part!! (there is no cliffhanger)

but athena - she lost her first love. he was taken from her. and then she lost one husband, and it was willingly and ended up mutuals on both of their parts, but god it was hard. she fought for a family, and she felt it was torn away from her, and she patched everything back together. and now? her rebuilt family, her husband who she fought for and who fought for her is going to be taken away from her, and there's no mutuality about this, they were torn apart. of course she wants justice. but she cannot fight this. she cannot reach into bobby's chest and force his heart to beat and she cannot breathe into his lungs to keep him alive, as much as she wants to. and that's why she's focused on amir, why she lasers in on him, even though if she stopped to think - why would he set the fire? this is something she can do for her husband. she cannot save him; she has to rely on machines and doctors in white coats for that. but this she can do. this she has to do, or she will not be able to live with herself.

I'm convinced Bobby Nash has to die. Now hear me out!! Cause I don't think he has to stay dead. In fact, it fits better if he doesn't. Here's the thing: Bobby believes he should have died in the fire that killed his family and all those people. It really seems there is absolutely no way for him to feel any closure on that, except, maybe, dying in/as a result of/in the vicinity of a fire after saving his family, aka Athena. A fire that burned down his now-family's home.

In Bobby Begins Again, Bobby is told You want to be punished? Your punishment is that you lived. Now make it worth a damn. And all this 'putting his affairs in order' stuff is kind of him double-checking that he really did make it worth a damn. For other people. Not for himself. He still doesn't believe he deserves any sort of happy ending. So, him dying and then living, just like Buck, would be another perfect little joke from his God, a sort of, You want to die for your sins? Fine. Now you have. Now live and be free of them.

Dying for your sins sound familiar? A little Jesus-y? Yeah, it fits right into all the religious symbolism we got in Step 9, aka the very Bobby-centric episode we just had! @exhuastedpigeon made a really good post about it.

In the previous episode, we saw that Bobby had his addiction practically passed down to him by his father, like an original sin. He wandered the desert, he carried his cross. In this episode, he had his last meal and though he didn't quite literally pray with his family, he did give Eddie a book of catholic prayers...

So if we're following that theme, if Bobby is to get the closure he has been wishing for ever since that fire happened, he might just have to die. But we all know Jesus didn't exactly stay dead either.
