I finished reading Blood Chains by @kindafooey this week. It is by far the best Gravity Falls fanwork I've ever seen and possibly one of the best fics I've ever read. Heck, it could even beat a lot of the books out there with its themes of unconventional pursuits of knowledge and expression as well as finding freedom in chaos. The characters are written in a way that feels close to canon with a natural progression due to the passage of time since the ending of the show. It's a story that is willing to show the darker sides of a relationship and how "friendship," "love," and "hate" can all be circumstantial and at times interchangeable. People change and adapt. There aren't "chances," but instead how you handle the situations in front of you. "Trust" may be different than "dependability," but I trust that this story has left an impact on me from reading it and it will depend on my path forward how that is shown. Thank you, Fooeyburr. Okay folks, I’m literally dying because I finished reading “Blood Chains” by @kindafooey and I need someone to talk about it!

So! If you have read it, and you’d like to chat about it too, I’m begging you on my knees to send me a message, because I’m in the middle of a fanfic crisis.

Hey! I may be a *little* late to the party, but recently I discovered Blood Chains and BOY I haven't been able to stop thinking about it ever since, it plagues my mind all the time, and I guess what I want to say is that it's one of the best books I've ever read. Tysm for it. I wanna ask if physical copies are still a real thing, the last update I was able to find on them was 2 years ago. If they're avaible to order plz tell me what I gotta do. I hope I'm not a bother, SO anxious rn ;w;

The situation with the printed copies is uhhh something I should've addressed a long time ago, tbh. The thing is I still really want to make it happen, but honestly I'm just. kind of stuck? Simply put, I got overwhelmed trying to figure out both the practicalities and economics of it and ended up shelving the project indefinitely. Having three separate books printed, shipped over to me, and then shipping them forth all around the world is something of a financial commitment (I was initially prepared for maybe five people tops to be interested in a printed edition but I've received well over 20 inquiries since the fic was finished, which is. trippy), and after I ended up buying a house two years ago, I had to reprioritize a little. I've been considering alternatives like investing in a better printer and producing the copies at home, but, well. Life has sort of gotten in the way of that. At this point it's mostly just a matter of whether I can set my mind to seeing this whole thing to the finish line at last.

So to sum it up, while I can't promise anything at this point of time, it could absolutely still happen! I feel like I'm becoming more scatterbrained by the year lol, but I really really really want to hold printed copies of my magnum opus in my hands one day, as Blood Chains is still something that I'm endlessly fond and proud of. This death was painful

At the beginning, when the lamb was still new and living in inexperience, a combination of carelessness and bad luck led her to experience one of her most painful deaths.

She faced her enemies in the middle of the dark forest, but in the fervor of battle a frost hit them, covering the landscape in white in a matter of seconds. One of her enemies took advantage of the moment, nailing the lamb against a nearby tree and immobilizing her, allowing the heretics to escape with the loot that the leader would give to her cult.

Stuck, the lamb remained in her place, the depth of the wound would probably kill her in a short time and she would meet her god… But she was not so lucky. The loss of blood robbed her of moments of life, but the power of the crown counteracted that by trying to regenerate the wound, but being a simple vessel it was not enough. She remained in a cycle of bleeding and healing for a long time until finally the cold invaded her lungs, stopping her heart.
