When Dragons Rising S2 comes out I’m gonna watch only one per week.
Frankly it’s more exciting, the cliff hangers feel more daunting, the episodes feel fresher
And it reminds me of watching SOG when it first came out, where I’d spend every Thursday night online seeing if the episode released
I’d love to see other people join in on this too. I feel like binge culture has kinda ruined a lot of shows :/

Dragons rising season 2 spoilers just in case you haven’t finished watching but from why I can see you have so…
First of all it was so good!!!
And second I really want to know more about how the FSM is connected to the source dragons. Though the fact that the life one says that Lloyd is one of hers makes me think that FSM’s dragon parent is life.
Which is such a cool concept. Maybe Lloyd’s element is life.
So you didn't see any of my posts where I went feral on S2, I binged every ep on yt btw.
Also it could just mean that Lloyd's elemental power just happens to stem from life or is life but as in an element and not a source (the theory is atleast half right yippee!)

Which earth movies do you think the Gand would have watched.
I have a headcanon that the girls have watched and memorised the sound track to Mamma Mia
I can see them binge watching Star Wars (mostly cause Bloom realizes they don’t know the father plot twist so she just needs to see their reactions)
Riven and Sky memorize and copy the Anakin/Obi-Wan fight in Revenge of the Sith, Brandon and Helia memorize the Qui-gon/Darth Maul fight cause the boys are dumbasses like that. They are working on doing the Rey/Kylo Ren fights.
I support that they watch Mamma Mia and they at first memorize the soundtrack cause Musa is always singing it but then they really get into it and it’s just chaos.
I think they’d watch indie horror movies and have fun, poke fun at the villain but then they watch Skinamarink and they’re just quiet the whole time like… holy shit. They all sleep huddled up together that night.
They watch Disney/Pixar classics. Oh! They totally watch Tinker Bells movie for the irony.
They would watch Atla cause it’s a classic and they’re all speculating about what will happen, they cry more than once and I might just make a comedy one-shot on this cause it’s potential is too much:
Sokka: ‘I’m just a guy with a boomerang.’ Sky: ‘I feel you my man’
By the end of s1 they have the intro memorized and will narrate along with Katara.
Yue: ‘I will always be with you’. Brandon on the brink of tears throwing popcorn at the screen: ‘LIAR!’
Zuko: cuts off his ponytail. Stella: ‘THANK FUCK’
Toph: Does anything. Aisha: ‘I would die for you’
Aang: destroys the cabbage stand. Nabu: ‘I love him so much’
Zuko: does anything impulsive/stupid. Timmy: *nudges Bloom* ‘That’s you.’
Watching any episode in s2/s3. Musa: ‘I’m loving the set-up for Zutara, they’re going to be best couple.’ Bloom: *Starts sweating nervously.*
Ty-Lee: is introduced and hugs Azula. Tecna: ‘I sense a tragic gay story coming’. Bloom: ‘I mean you’re not wrong-‘
Flora needs a second to cool down after the Crystal Catacombs cause she got way too invested and now she’s crying.
Zuko and Katara fighting: ‘You rise with the moon, I wise with the sun.’ / ‘It won’t be much of a rematch’. Helia: ‘HOW IS THIS SHOW SO COOL?!’
Any emotional moment with Iroh or Katara. Riven: ‘I’m not crying, I have no idea what you’re talking about.’
Absolute silence when Zuko confronts his dad followed by a standing ovation.
The possibilities are endless.

I hope these are my last insane thoughts on season 2 and then I promise I'll shut up forever.
Obviously there's spoilers from the show and even the books, please don't come at me I've warned you. I've binged the show in a day and I'm not good at keeping spoilers so you've been WARNED. <3
Let's go!
The thing that was very clear to me, since season 1, is that the showrunners relied so much on the crows that they should've just made the SoC show from the beginning.
Why adapt the SaB books when they're clearly not the main focus even in their own show?
In the first season the blend between the two series of books and two sets of very different characters was pretty smooth and actually very very enjoyable.
We get to see characters interact even though they're not from the same timeline and that's pretty cool.
A few things were cut out from the first book in that season but I'm not mad about it, in the end they were infinitesimal things.
But oh boy this new season.
From the first moment it was pretty clear to me that the writers had decided to focus on the crows.
Disclaimer before I go too far:
I don't actually resent the crows, I haven't read the books yet but I'm working on it. I like the characters and the actors are SPOT ON, they did an exceptional job. Still, the show was supposed to be about SaB, and in my opinion that was not delivered in s2.
Let's continue.
From the title cards to the amount of detail in the crows plotline, it's easy to see that they're the beloved ones in the franchise and by the fans.
(Quick tangent: I don't understand why some crows fans are being so mean about the sab trilogy. Like? Okay we get it. You think the first trilogy is boring. Now let me read it in peace. But I don't think we're all ready for that conversation. I literally saw a post being like "why can't I just watch the crows parts, who cares about the main story" You can but, it isn't THEIR SHOW-)
Because even if the crows story in the show isn't the SoC or CK ones, it's a very detailed one. Like- I'm seriously impressed by the sword plotline, that was actually so good. (Even though the crows+Tolya+Zoya went on this wonderful trip, almost died to retrieve a sword they used THREE TIMES. but I'm getting off topic.)
And since this isn't their show it's okay they have a new story that isn't necessarily the one from their books. In the show they have a new adventure that will eventually flow in their own show, that's fine.
So why not make the crows show from the beginning?
I'm focusing too much on the crows but I swear I do have other points.
It's plain as day that the next season, crows spin off or not, is going to be about them. (If Netflix doesn't cancel the show. REALLY NETFLIX???)
That cliffhanger? That's literally the plotline of SoC. (I DID read the first few chapters of SoC, I promised I was working on it and I am!)
What I'm really upset about is that the characters of SaB were basically abandoned to themselves, the level of detail in their plotline was so low.
The writers literally picked four key moments from Siege and Storm and Ruin and Rising and went with it. They've speed run so fast through those two books I got whiplash anytime I stopped to take a breath.
And that's another sign of, I guess, the showrunners' fear that there might not be a third season. Just cram the two books together because we don't have the luxury of adapting one at a time.
But boy it was painful to watch. They could've adapted both books together? Yes. Could've it been done better? Yes.
As someone who LOVED the SaB trilogy it was really sad.
I didn't like this season, they killed people that weren't supposed to die (yet) just for shock effect and they've basically compressed four books in eight episodes. The pacing of the second season felt,,, odd, like we were travelling through hyperspace.
They tried to tie Nikolai at the crows and it felt so odd it was almost dumb. (I'm talking about the fact that "turns out it was Nikolai all along that hired the crows to kidnap Alina")
The SaB parts were rushed and at times sloppy. They glossed over ENTIRE CHUNKS of the books and for what? It wasn't even enjoyable.
And it's insane because the first season was so good?
I'm the first one to say that you can't properly adapt a book into a movie or show because, well a book is a book and the level of detail that is in there can never be fully put in a show. But this wasn't even well executed.
I'm all down for cutting parts that can be cut out, or like, morphing a few parts together so they're all mentioned but take less time. You know? Iconic lines can be put in other contexts, I'm totally cool with that. You can mention something that is important to the story or like something beloved by fans even without spending an episode on it.
But, like- for example. The scene of the Darkling's attack at the Spinning Wheel? Is just. So wrong-
In the books it happens at the Palace, during a party (I think it's Nikolai and Alina's engagement's party as well) and like, the anxiety and the build up to it is insane. I was literally sweating while reading it, the time it takes to realize Vasily's mistake (that asshole) and the anxiety of "will they get to the Little Palace in time to save the others", it's gruesome but also terrifying and in the show is so bland. You barely even register it happens.
And then there's another attack, this time for real at the Spinning Wheel but they're two different parts in two different books. And that one was also anxiety packed and just so good. Baghra confronting the Darkling, baby little Misha. WHAT HAPPENS TO NIKOLAI 👀.
But in the show it doesn't even properly exist.
They've morphed the two (very different) parts together but they weren't even good. What did they gain? 40 minutes of screen time? That they spent on the god awful ending? More time for the crows? Sure why not, but again it's not their show. (I swear I'm not upset at the crows lmao.)
Literally those two attacks where something worth spending an episode on but they were completely forgot about or poorly executed. So poorly executed they have to relay on something else to show the nichevo'ya's effect on Nikolai. (Also completely forgot: the nichevo'ya attacking Alina and literally chomping her shoulder- but now I'm getting picky.)
They completely glossed over Alina's Saint journey. The way she DOESN'T want to be a Saint, her guilt and the fact she feels like a fraud, the way the poor faithful people are treated at the gates of the city.
They've added Inej calling her saint a few times but they never show the zealots or the crowds of people chanting her name. The people claiming to sell her bones or the pressure Alina feels or her hopelessness whenever she looks over those people raising their hands at her.
All the shit she has to go through with the Apparat. (Rat of a man) The White Cathedral, how Alina is basically drained after the Little Palace attack but the Apparat makes her do essentially magic tricks to keep the crowds at bay while at the same time keeping her underground, away from the sun, to make her weaker.
Alina finally gaining control of her abilities (literally cutting a mountain in half) but also finally gaining the trust of the Grisha and turning into a badass general.
Rip show fans you'll never know how fucking powerful and what a savage white-haired Alina was.
THEY FORGOT ABOUT MY BABY MISHA AND WHAT ABOUT ONCAT?
Mal and Alina's conflict that goes on for TWO AND A HALF EXCRUCIATING BOOKS was nonexistent. Which I'm actually rather happy about, but then the ending doesn't make sense.
The ending? Boy don't even make me start on this. It felt like a fan fiction in the worst way possible.
Can I talk about David? I will quickly talk about David.
What was that about? Guys. Be for real please. Tell me it's all a joke. I haven't read the KoS duology yet, (I'm working on it. I'm a slow reader) but I know what happens in RoW, so I knew THAT was inevitable. But guys. This was awful. My girl Genya has been through so much and now you add THIS?
I'm 100% sure David was killed for shock effect and just to take him out of the triumvirate. What for, tho? So that Alina could have a girl power moment? This is insane-
I'm all down for Alina having her badass moments because god knows she absolutely deserves them, but she had PLENTY of them in the books,,, IF ONLY YOU ADDED THEM TO THE SHOW.
Literally what happened to "I'm the Sun Summoner. It gets dark when I say it does."? Wasn't that girl power enough? Or literally any time Alina rekts the Apparat? Wasn't that badass enough?
I know this sound like the ramblings of a mad woman but I am feeling quite mad after watching s2.
I'm not going to pretend I liked it.
There were some things I didn't hate, others I quite liked, but in the grand picture I'm very disappointed.
I loved the SaB trilogy, in my opinion it was very good. The crows books feel very action packed and that's good but I liked that some parts of the SaB trilogy feel very calm. You know? There are a bunch of "dull" moments at the Little Palace, where Alina has to venture into the political life or just where we get to understand how the Grisha in Ravka tick. And honestly they were some of my favorite parts.
So,,,, in conclusion? I'm not happy about this season. I waited so long for it and I'm honestly disappointed by the SaB plotline. Again I liked the crows part but that's because it wasn't really based on their books. (even though I know the first few episodes are loosely based on CK, but ultimately their quest wasn't something out them.)
I've hoped the SaB story would've been different but it isn't so I'll just reread the books to calm and console my soul. (Idk it felt like they were the least loved kids in the show. And sometimes even by some fans.)
The actors are amazing, they all have so much untapped potential it's insane. And it's a shame we won't get to see them act in so many cool scenes.
Anyways, pardon my bitterness and and absolute lack of sense in this rant. <3

Bocchi The Rock - Season 1
I binged Bocchi The Rock. Here are some thoughts (spoilers below).
Poor Bocchi.
This is an old formula. The lonely will remain lonely until someone literally yanks them out of their loneliness. But I wish an anime had a lonely who put some effort and conquered their loneliness by themselves for once.
What.
Nevermind the comment why is hyper-socially-anxious Bocchi going around smelling people. Hypocrite!
Bocchi, you're really making this hard for yourself.
The scene where she plays for the first time caught me off guard.
She practiced a lot so that means she's really good, right?
She said she had confidence, that's a huge red flag, she probably sucks despite all her practice.
But she said she had only SOME confidence so what if the red flag is a fake flag and she is actually really good and this is the event that makes her life change forever?
In the end she sucked... because playing in a band and playing solo is different? THE WORLD IS UNFAIR TO BOCCHI!!! THIS WAS HER CHANCE. WHYYYYYY.
The manager notices it and casually makes her more anxious while thinking she's helping it lol
Interesting that 2 turns out to be sort of true for the other girl who practiced a lot in the wrong instrument.
Dark Flame Master????
Intriguing philosophical thoughts.
Rise up.
GIVE ME LIKES 👍👍 AND SLAP THAT REBLOG BUTTON!!!!!
Bocchi, are you daijoubu?
BOCCHI, ARE YOU DAIJOUBU????
This show is just too relatable. It's like everything they say is supposed to be relatable somehow. Or maybe that's just me.
Like I said, this show is just too relatable.
I love this creature. I haven't seen someone with such facial freedom since Shinchou Yuusha.
She looks pretty epic when she plays, so it sucks that didn't work in the final episode! The world is unfair to Bocchi!!!
While waiting for S2 I recommend watching Paripi Koumei if you like music or Handa-kun if you like black humor doses of loneliness (Watamote if you like it very black).

oh???? hell’s paradise huh? peakkkk!! honestly I was waiting for you to that you started watched or any spring anime that finished this (and last) week for that matter! another one I recommended watching is heavenly delusion! (tengoku daimakyou) it’s real good and honest real mysterious (I think you watch on pirated sites? bc this series is available on Hulu) .. I’ve watched a good fair share of animes this year and hell’s paradise has got to be my top animes this year lol… honestly I’m not too down bad but I do love gabimaru a tad bit! as far a simping goes!
aza is one interesting character and without spoiling much (I don’t know if you’re finishing up) but the way he adapts and how sharp his instincts are makes me think he’s gonna be here in the long run (not a manga reader so I may be wrong lol who knows. I have faith lol)
Girl ✋ I binge watch. I’m done watched the whole damn thing. The manga was short and has finished. I’m debating reading it. 🤔 Tbh Chōbei is a little out there for me, the whole drinking blood thing was a bit much… And yet the heart wants what it wants! 💘 And it wants the crazy feral bandit king!
Gabimaru is adorable and him just wanting to get back to his wife is so pure and precious! And the dynamic between him and Sagiri is really good, I hope they become besties. And the relationship is able to stay platonic, there isn’t enough male female non romantic relationships depicted in anime.
I use Crunchy Roll and Hulu (ty bestie @lhatake87 cuz I am poor and leech off her greatness) 🥰 !
🤪 Things I watched most recently: Hell’s Paradise, Ancient Magus Bride, Demon Slayer, Why Raeliana Ended Up At The Duke’s Mansion, Love Story with Yamada at lvl999, Dead Mount Death Play, Yashahime (unfinished), Paychopass (unfinished), Libra of Nil Admirari, Boruto (unfinished), I’m the Villaness So I’m Taming the Final Boss, Natsume Yujin-cho (unfinished), In//Spectre, Ghost Hunt, Blue Lock, IDOLiSH7, BSD…
😍 Stuff I’m looking forward to: JJK s2! Bleach TYBW s2! Classroom of the Elite s3! Sailor Moon Cosmos! BSD s5! BNHA s7! Rising of the Shield Hero s3! Devil is a Part Timer s2! Misfit of Demon King Academy s2! Horimiya s2! Demon Slayer s4!
⬆️ not necessarily for Summer but they’ve all been officially announced.
Remember people looking at that list and saying WTF: I am unemployed. 🙂 I typically watch subbed and mostly muted cuz my migraines are usually triggered by sound. I have no partner and no kids. I have graduated college. I have nothing to do but mindlessly watch anime and hope it dulls the pain. 💚

September 21, 2023
Wednesdays, I think, are going to be the days that suck. Thursdays will also be tough. I start Wednesdays pretty early and have a lot to complete for Thursdays. I suppose Wednesdays will suck significantly less if I do a better job with spacing out my preparations. I should look into that. Thursdays this semester will always just require a lot of stamina.
Today (one of those dreaded Thursdays), I wanted to get another one of those synopses submitted, and I'd mostly finished it yesterday (with significantly less frustration) but didn't have a critique until midday today. I did end up submitting a synopsis that I was somewhat happy with. I took notes during today's discussion on some of the critiques and experimental methods suggested (I learned that the experiment I proposed in my synopsis is currently impossible lol) so I could use them when coming up with ideas for future synopses (I have to write six for this class). I also had a quiz today which I didn't study enough for (took for granted that I'd learned most of the content previously--will not be making that mistake again). I had a meeting with my PI late this afternoon, my first one since the semester began, it went well.
I still find that I'm settling in. Settling back into schoolwork (totally underestimated the difficulty of the quiz I took today (my first quiz in grad school (the part that sucks isn't going to be the grade or even knowing that I could've done better, but that my PI is the prof and there aren't tons of students in the class so I'm def not just a number and he could probably surmise that I didn't do my best on it (in our meeting today he asked what I thought of the quiz and I told him that I prob screwed up a bit and he was basically like "no worries that happens" ugh what a man)))), settling into my space (gotta admit, walls are still pretty barren (it's difficult for me to really think about putting things up because I'm fairly certain that I wouldn't like to live here next year (it's okay but that's really all it is, just okay, and I, naturally, have illusions of grandeur and high-roller living), but I also don't really vibe with the totally blank walls when I spent so much time thinking about my theme,,,, maybe I'll use this space as practice? idk)), settling into this city (still haven't gotten my library cards), settling into my role (gotta email my postdoc tomorrow). Settling, settling, settling, settling.
I met up with those three girls today for a free dinner at an event they were invited to. I'm glad I decided to go to that with them instead of going to the kickoff event for another club. I'm sure the kickoff would've been great and informative, but I'm really trying to put effort into community-building. We went to the nearby art museum for a free event to just kind of hang which was also nice. Might go out tomorrow night, too. Gotta rest up for that.
Currently binging Young Justice, started last Friday, it is very good. Extremely well-written. I watched the first season way way back when it came out originally with my dad, and it went off the air suddenly. It came back with a third season in 2019 which I didn't know about, then a fourth in 2021 which I also didn't know about. There's a very clear shift from the TV-Y7 rating in the first two seasons to the TV-14 rating immediately in S3E1 which was very interesting. I'm hooked for sure, it's a good time. Action-Adventure + Science-Fantasy is totally my favorite entertainment genre. I hope S3 can adequately follow how well S1 and S2 were plotted.
Today I'm thankful for my PI, he's great, he seems like he really does care. I'm also thankful for the free tote bag I got at the art museum tonight. I didn't need another tote. What I want is a tee shirt, honestly. But alas.
One actual negative thing: discovered that my favorite jeans of all time (Hollister High Rise Crop Boyfriend (vintage stretch)) which I purchased four years ago and loved immediately out of the package are developing a hole in the crotch. I've never mended jeans at the crotch before, but I must try to save my baby (perfect relaxed fit at the natural waist, perfect length, perfect button closure, perfect neutral light wash, perfectly big pockets in the front and back, perfectly soft fabric). I love these jeans so much that I haven't bought a single additional pair since. Taking a trip to a fabric store sometime soon to gather my arsenal.
Today was a (net) good day, despite the little annoyances. A long one, but a good one.

binge watched s2 of a/rcane today (rip 16 of my dollars to netflix) and I didn't think it was anywhere near as good as s1 tbh. things didn't feel well paced and they tried to deal with too many things. also fellow haters of sex scenes that really didn't need to be there rise
#i binge watched s1 when it came out too btw so don't say the pacing was bad because of that#idk s2 just didn't feel as impactful as s1 did. I literally cried multiple times during s1 and s2 was straight 😐#except the sex scene that had my cringing bc I was watching it while sitting on the floor w my laptop on the coffee table#with my dad next to me watching tv#even the music felt less...immersive?#god anyone who has also watched s2 tell me I'm not crazy

friendly reminder to please stream shadow and bone especially this week to the next if you want s3 or a six of crows spinoff
especially because of the literal two years between the release of the seasons
(i do believe i read somewhere that s&b's completion rates were higher than winx saga?)
It is still pretty early for the trajectory; but I think also that an SOC spin-off may be more likely than s3 of shadow and bone because for some reason, both siege and storm + ruin and rising were incorporated into s2; there's not much to continue it besides probably something like row, and they set the stage for SOC
if the views are bad though, i think they may mishmash row and soc into season 3, as well as involve alina and mal more since they changed the ending with alina still (?) engaged to nikolai — personally though i wouldn't want this; i want a pure six of crows ice court heist. this may be possible as the crows are marginally more popular, many good reviews focus on them, and their social media posts etc. do better
idk if there's data on if the crow scenes are more rewatched but i don't think it would be unreasonable to assume so
yes i also feel horribly guilty that i stalled watching the last two episodes for a few days because i didn't want to finish it (but i did binge watch them)

S/upernatural, T/een W/olf, and M/erlin only ever got as popular as they did because, much like with the B/eatles and women, the early 2010s were the first time gay people were allowed to be like publicly h*rny
#please feel free to ignore this#I can't think of the right way to phrase this but like#I feel like TV in the early 2010s was a combo of LGBT people clamoring for representation without like#knowing specifically what to ask for#combined with the rise of streaming leading to a shift in storytelling styles and the ability for people to get more involved#in the TV shows they chose to watch#T/een W/olf and S/upernatural were like the first things I remember binge-watching on Netflix#Like none of these are particularly great shows and I can't imagine any of them getting a s2 in the modern day#Even 16 year-old me was like 'could be better' in the back of my mind

T&B2 Thoughts: Episode 1 – A word to the wise is enough
OKAY I am slowly rewatching the new season after bingeing it on Friday, and scribbling out my thoughts and feelings in a slightly more coherent manner although still very much with the shrieking because, like. Wow. I was trying to keep my hopes manageable in the run up to the new season, but the show gave me everything I wanted and then some.
As before, these will be tagged “M watches TNB”. Unlike before, these rambles will be entirely behind a cut because WOW talk about spoilers. FAIRLY BE YE WARNED.
- Okay, first off, a criticism: this type of flashforward for an opening is one of my least favorite narrative tropes. It often feels like a cheap way to heighten tension and while it can be used well, it's often not. And I...don’t think it was necessary here. I think the only reason it's here is because otherwise, the beginning of s2 is nearly identical to the beginning of s1.
- That being said, I like that the beginning of the seasons match. For one, the first episode of the first season makes a great intro to this world and how it works, and y'know, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. And in this one, not only does it do that as an intro to Stern Bild and Hero TV, it also works for showing us returning fans how things are different. I love the (re)introduction of all the heroes, the subtle changes in the way the show is pitched at the beginning that tell us just how things have evolved since the end of The Rising.
- And nowhere, nowhere in any of the press for the show did they even drop a hint that FUCKING RYAN WAS COMING BACK. I shrieked when he came sailing up. I expected maybe a cameo, not that he’d be back as a main character.
- There are also a lot of changes in the way they treat the female characters in this series. Tiger & Bunny has always been pretty good about that, considering how anime women are usually treated, but they take it a step further now. Blue Rose isn't objectified nearly as much—her entrance in this episode is pretty much the only time in the series we see that pan up her body. Agnes has noticeably gained some weight, but it's only mentioned once and it's never made into a joke. Part of it might be the time—it's been 11 years since the first one came out, after all—and part of it might also be the influence of a female director. Regardless, I appreciate it.
- Kotetsu and Barnaby having a fight over Kotetsu drinking one of Barnaby's juices energy drinks and Barnaby refusing to talk to him over it is the exact level of petty married bickering I have craved.
- The show does such a great job of explaining the new system in a way that feels natural to the story. There's a lot of worldbuilding they have to cram in up front to get you ready to go, and they do it so well, while still giving you little character moments with our mains. Like Barnaby's utter offense at being called "old man." XD
- One of the things I have wanted since I finished watching the first series in 2017 is a photo of Barnaby on Kotetsu's shelf. And the show gave us one that is perfect.
It's clearly just after the events of The Rising, with Barnaby, Kotetsu, and Kaede, and it's right next to the photo of Kotetsu, Tomoe, and baby Kaede. It could not be more obvious that Barnaby is part of Kotetsu's family now, and while Tomoe will always be an important part of his past, Barnaby is an important part of his present.
- And then we go to Barnaby and the entire fucking jungle in his apartment, I cannot even with this man. This is so different from their apartments at the beginning of the first season, when Kotetsu's was a total mess and Barnaby's had absolutely nothing in it. They're both making strides to taking better care of themselves, and the places they live are indicative of that.
- I love that, at first blush, it really looks like Kotetsu's going off with one of his reckless plans that don't ever work. And then you realize, no, he's making himself the distraction to give Barnaby the chance to make a surprise attack. And they did all of this without speaking a word to each other because that's how in tune they are now. It's everything I've needed.
- LOOK AT THESE SOFT NERDS LOOK AT THEM.
- I admit, I was still a little worried about how this season was going to turn out throughout the first episode. And then the end credits happened, where Barnaby and Kotetsu are camping together with one tent and drinking coffee out of matching mugs while listening to a love song on the radio and that's when I knew everything was going to be fine.

the reason i created this blog was to keep myself from creating a manifest nbc blog. (or manifest netflix)
i binge watched the seasons like most everyone in the world and... it got me. i slipped and the devil got me.
i have no conspiracies or projections for the fourth and final season, but i have wishes and of course, complaints.
- BENVI RISE. yup, your bitch is benvi stan. in s1, benvi had a very nice setup,, s2, not so much and s3 none at all really but now that it seems grace is definitely gone, benvi has promise. also, it seems that no one likes grace or something and i don’t go to that church. i liked grace, i understood grace and i’m sad that she’s not gonna get a happier ending. but i’m really excited for the ben and saanvi progress i think we’re gonna get because of it.
-it kills me that saanvi has little to no background on this show. all we know is that she is a brilliant bi doctor with a crush on ben who was on 828. like we know nothing about her parents, except that they exist. i think it would’ve been more interesting to see her interactions with her family post 828 because she was the only one in her family who experienced the time-jump, whereas 1/2 of the stone family are experiencing this so, there had to be a tolerance there. but i think the isolation she had to be feeling because of that should have been noted better. does it show that saanvi’s my favorite character? because i hope so.
-end this goddamn michaela/zeke/jared triangle. first of all, i almost can’t stand jared. he had some redeemable parts but mostly, he can go. don’t get me wrong, michaela’s no prize either but how obsessed and weird he was in s1 was just too much, bro. in fact, i think they try too hard to pair michaela with another guy, as if it’s gonna solve her problems. she’d be best on her own or with that cute new partner whose name i forgot.
-nothing against cal or the actor that plays cal but this show solidified my dislike for spooky kids, any kid that has supernatural powers or something. (no, i don’t watch stranger things). it just makes me cringe and i think it’s so creepy and i know that’s the point, but nah.
- i just need to say that in the s3 finale when michaela gaslit grace into staying in this insane situation, that really pissed me off. grace has been through enough trauma and she’s one of the few characters who do have an out, she should be allowed to take it especially when ben is showing his ass like he did all s3. anyway, this is just me saying i wish that baby was danny’s.
let’s go s4.

it's so hard to pick one 😭
The one i like to binge/rewatch the most is Rise because it's paced in a way i find more palatable to my energy if it makes sense. I absolutely love the liberties they took, like the ninpo, the fact that they are all different turtles, Splinter's backstory, etc. They all have a very distinct personality and it is great
i'm not as much of a fan of the 1987. i still find it funny and fun to watch but there's nothing (so far) that brings me back to it. like i don't get that "i need to continue" feeling i get with the others. But honestly that might just be the early seasons lol. In all honesty i have not finished the show but i did heard someone qualify it as a "10 seasons long toy commercial" and honestly that's basically all of the animated tv shows that came out in the 80-90s lol (p.s. Raph is my favourite in this show, he's just so relatable and adorable and funny lmao) Fun fact, in french (i'm canadian) this serie was name "Tortues Ninja: Les chevaliers d'écaille" which translates to "Ninja turtles: Scale Knights"
I finished 2012 recently (i had occasionally watch parts of it on TV back then, but i was in college so sticking to a TV schedule was impossible lol). It took a moment to get fully hooked to it. Like i binged it, of course, but i started to get seriously intrigued more at S2-3. I absolutely love all of them, they are so imperfect and slightly hotheaded and dumb (/affectionate) but they love each other so much
And i'm currently watching 2003. This one, i had seen the most of in my childhood (i was literally the age demographic when it came out). Being extremely action-focus (imo) i often need a break from watching it lmao but it's a great show and i absolutely love how the 4 of them act together. absolute siblings (even tho they seem to me to be elder-teens rather than just 15, then again, teenagers then and teenagers now are def not the same, so that's fair ig lol)
----
i don't want to get into the movies as well as i believe the plot and character development in movies do not have the same potential as a tv show, + some of them are directly linked to a tv show (like Rise) and i havent watch them all. Though i did love the Bayverse ones, surprisingly. Especially the first one. and Mutant Mayhem was so great as well
also not including Next Mutation, i haven't watch it)
sorry i didn't give a more simple answer LOL
Hiiiii!
hellooooo!!! :3
How are you?
🤙🧪🐢 Thank you for your ask 🐢🧪🤙
