"Why live life from dream to dream.... and dread the day when dreaming ends?" Cover to go with a piece I rendered bc I still think that the dynamic between Satine and Christian applies so beautifully here too ( hopefully without the,, y'know, part where he CAN'T save her tho )

This point in the relationship is kind of a dark dramatic time for the pair. Sophia assumes her feelings are unrequited here, that her dream is unattainable both because of that and because she can tangibly sense the way she's being pulled by two different worlds and Sportacus sees the end result of that- her giving up hope of starting a better life and resigning herself to the despair and agony of a past about to repeat itself. For someone he's gotten to know as a visionary and a dreamer, hearing "what's the point?" sets off just the tiniest red flags in his head.... ...Not that her choosing a 20 foot tall billboard to hang out on doesn't XD
