How does anyone have the time to commit anything to writing with the demands of the House!
I knew this would be a big event for the House and every Councilmer or nosy noble. Still, I had no idea the acrobatics that certain Councilors would make in order to try and get their way.

Poor Tel had thought maybe they would stay on a day or two at most in order to finalize our arrangement. The had not expected for the House to reach out to their captain and demand a stay of leave. That they were somehow able to pull strings with the Temple in Vivec in order to ensure that Tel was not beholden to their normal duties until the House had finished negotiations and gotten a written contract agreement of exactly what duties Tel would perform as part of the arrangement.
For my part, I have been busy preparing the House for Tel's addition to the household. Tel's room is to be prepared. I had to do interviews with additional servants. There was the matter of furnishings. Everything has to be in place as though Tel will be living with us full time. First of all, thank you! This is an extremely well-thought out response that covers some of these concepts in more depth.
The context of this post was more about the growing trend of people who actively identify as counter-culture traditionalist types, and rejecting any form of birth control often comes along with a range of other ideals that includes: rejection of pharmaceuticals in general, particularly restrictive diets and focus on trending “super foods”, and a range of concerns about endocrine disrupters purposefully in Western society found in food/water/other products to decrease fertility.
Example of such posts below (this is from one particularly influencer who I know has quite a celebrity following currently so it was easy for me to pull posts up from - there are plenty of others, and some have more extremist views/slightly differing ones):
Obviously a lot of this content is designed to fear-monger or cherry pick information. I’m also very cautious about this movement because it tends to come with concerns about 1) decreasing “European” fertility and populations and 2) extremely anti-abortion beliefs. My main concern with this movement is pushing women to feel worry about the long-term effects of birth control -> offer bad advice/limited advice on how to track/chart fertility -> when this method ultimately fails due to misinformation, further scaring/bullying women into keeping pregnancies they don’t necessary want (which again, comes into play with the repeated concerns about population declines).
I do however agree with you that fertility and birth control would be an ideal next frontier. Many women do have legitimate concerns or on-going issues with managing their cycles and fertility, and I think it’s important we’re always scientifically pushing forward and providing the best options and relief available. If someone did choose to prefer charting compared to hormonal control, my main concern would be encouraging them to research in depth so they know what they’re doing + seek out medical advice from those with awareness and training to support them!
