I got this idea in early September and was DETERMINED to see it through! Being British, the Traxtons don't typically celebrate Thanksgiving, but they have a lot of American friends, so they hold a dinner as an excuse for them all to come hang out for a day. This particular Thanksgiving takes place a few months after Muriel finds out she's pregnant with the first (yes, FIRST) set of triplets, so she wants to do a big, pull-out-the-stops special meal that year where most of the guests don't even know she's pregnant yet.

Unfortunately, the carving knife went missing (Traxton probably used it on a hunting trip), and he isn't above using Excalibur to carve the Thanksgiving turkey, seeing Muriel loaned it out to him so often back when they were courting. Muriel did NOT expect him to come out with her brother's heirloom sword and completely disrupt the mood she'd set for the dinner. Don't worry, they'll laugh about it later and she'll forgive him after fuming for a few hours LOL

I snuck in as many characters connected to the Traxtons as possible! L - R:

Sora, the lab rat child they adopt, Neassa and Nolan Knight, Muriel's adoptive parents | Agent Kala Lani, Traxton's junior agent at Jade's Hall, Lukas Walden AKA Javelin, another Jade's Hall agent who becomes friends with Traxton (against Traxton's wishes at first, but the guy grows on people).

With all the Missing Numbers Doodles popping up today, I finally found it in me to actually doodle and not care about how it looked. Anyways—

Here is Aster’s Halloween Costume! I didn’t color it, but Aster is Little Red Riding Hood and Del is the Werewolf. He’s not trick-or-treating, by the way—he’s just handing out king-sized chocolate bars to everyone he passes while walking around!

It’s not much- Just a goofy little thing to celebrate the holiday. Happy Halloween, everyone!

#Yippee!! I did a thing!#FINALLY-#A part of me is wondering if I should ramble about the Sanctuary AU a little bit…#Screw it why not?-#SO-! In Sanctuary all of the major holidays exist and are celebrated (Ex: Thanksgiving Christmas Fourth of July Halloween etc etc)#However because my AU is essentially set up to be one massive town/city/community #EVERYBODY celebrates things together in the form of what I can only call gigantic festivals #The denizens of Sanctuary (Yes the town is called Sanctuary too- I’m not good at naming things but it was what I wanted the place to be)#go ALLLL out on holidays- especially Christmas where they decorate the city centre like something straight out of a Disney Christmas film #Other holidays don’t slack though- There are games and vendor stalls and fresh food being made and just all around a community-#coming together to make something special and beautiful. Friends. Found Family. Coworkers. Neighbors. Everybody cares about everybody—#The people who live in Sanctuary didn’t always have the best lives #So most go out of their way to ensure that the newcomers really feel that sense of hope and belonging that Sanctuary was built to provide.#Hence why Aster doesn’t do tricks on Halloween—he just goes around giving out the best candy he can find to everyone he sees!#Even on spooky holidays everyone deserves to smile—that’s what he thinks. He especially likes to give out candy to people he’s never seen-#before (which is rare mind you-) so that he can make sure that they know someone cares about them.#Thats all for now though- maybe I’ll write more another time haha #Hopefully my rambling isn’t too nonsensical-

#I also stumbled upon the extremely delulu side by accident #no idea if its ragebait or what but someone was just like EXTREMELY AGAINST ALASTOR IN ANY SHIP #which is valid you have your own opinion I respect that BUT THEY LITERALLY SAID ITS BECAUSE ALASTOR HIMSELF TOLD THEM?#Alastor is a fictional character and HE BETTER STAY THAT WAY #reminded me of those creepypasta kids who would pretend that Slenderman was real and be edgy #I was friends with one of those #they were... not the healthiest friendship like I'm not super traumatized by them but they definitely left a mark #took me like two years to not jump at the mention of their name #it's like 5 am for me rn I gotta get up in a couple to babysit children which is fitting because todays fic is a daycare au fic thats very #wholesome and I'm having fun writing it IT HEALS THE SCARS #i want corn bread again #my mom makes this really good cheddar cheese cornbread and it's tasty #she also makes like this honey one which is just corn bread with honey drizzled on it and popped into the air fryer #I'm also lowkey craving this casserole I made once with corn bread #I forgot what it's called but it had ground beef+ taco seasoning mixed with like vegetables and a TON of cheese and #it's just so TASTY i love it #like my all time favorite casserole #speaking of casseroles i can't wait for thanksgiving to roll around #I'm allergic to rice but theres this cheese rice and broccoli casserole that gets made #I sometimes sneak a bite #I'm not like deathly allergic I just break out in hives like with tomatoes #OO PLUS THANKSGIVIN' TURKEY my dad makes like a GREAT gravy to go with it #I look forward to it every year #and I'm from the south so we also have sweet potatoes mashed potatoes with marshmallows and cinnamon roasted on the top #and depending if my moms side is visiting we GET PUERTO RICAN FOOD #my mom makes the best food ever #i remember I had macaroons and me and moony were sneakily eating them in the kitchen because they were just for us #and my younger cousin walked in like “Ph macaroons! i want one” and I #without missing a beat just told him “Sure but their pumpkin spice flavored” and he left #it wasn't pumpkin spice it was mango I jsut didn't want to share with him Because the macarons were a reward I need to sleep now goodbye

Yknow guys. I have my moments but honestly I’m really glad to be alive and get to experience this beautiful world... like the birds outside my window or my beloved beast bella (there is an animal!!! In my house!!! And she LOVES me!!!) and getting to see my best friend and watching tv and movies together and engaging with media and taking long car rides. Life is so beautiful and I’m so glad I never forget it too long. Every little thing that makes you feel joy is a reason to be on this earth, so cherish every last one, because you deserve it. You deserve to feel how beautiful the world can be. Even if it sucks dick sometimes. Sometimes everything sucks and then you see a cardinal out the window competing with another for a female and everything’s okay again. Theres joy in every day, so please go out there and feel it as hard as you can, embrace everything that makes you happy. Live. We deserve it.

To me #Just a year older than me #But again his dad heard how much he preferred us to him and stopped letting him come around. Even on the holidays #The last day I saw him was halloween. 2018. Also the last time I saw my non-relative bestfriend at the time #And I can’t even remember if I gave him a hug goodbye. I hope I did.#He died in January the next year after his dad threatened to take away his job. His like last refuge #A lot more fucked up shit happened to him I won’t divulge but. That man made him miserable.#That man killed him. Even if he didn’t use his hands #And I miss him so much. Every day but it hurts so much around my birthday #And every year I’m so scared to age and feel so bad because I’m getting older and. He’s not #He’ll never get any older because he’s dead. Hell never see any more marvel movies or shitty b movies. Never play red dead 2 again #He doesn’t get to have those little joys in life anymore. And it makes me so fucking sad #So please please please just always remember the little joys. The birds out the window and the things and people you love #Because there’s a lot of fucking hate in this world. But there’s so much goddamn love in it too #And wonder and whimsy and things worth living for. Even when life sucks every day. There’s always something. Being open about your mental health can be so funny sometimes. I offhand mentioned to my boss and a coworker that I spent Thanksgiving 2021 in the metal hospital and both of them went "wait what?? Mental hospital?? What?????"

I was just like yeah so my ex and the teenager he left me for spent that whole year gaslighting me and actively trying to drive me insane and I ended up in the mental hospital twice. It was a great Thanksgiving tho the food there was really good!

I love this post. It explains nothing. Anyways, homemade cranberry sauce recipes also like to include??? horseradish???? for some reasons, and I like horseradish but not in my cranberry sauce. Sweet cranberry gel is the one good gelatin and I highly recommend. Served can-shaped, circular slices on plate.
