Real Animated Pets - Goat, Sheep and Llama

This project is our fruit of labour with @deedee-sims. I was looking for a way to have more "alive" pets in Sims 2 and approached DeeDee. Luckily for all of us, she liked the idea and helped me out with the most difficult parts. This project would not be possible without you, thank you DeeDee ❤️

From the technical point of view all animals are custom collars for large dogs (and only large dogs). In order for them to work as on previews, you need to assign your dog a transparent fur (a brand new creation by DeeDee that makes dogs' fur completely invisible, included in the archive) and then pick an animal skin you want from the collar section. If you'd like to change the appearance of an existing large dog, be sure to buy it a desired collar on a community lot first! Dog's breed is also important, it can make chubbier or thinner animals. If your fur doesn't look completely transparent, be sure to uncheck all the fur accessories. I'd recommend using a default white no name breed (looks best with animations).

We (especially DeeDee! ❤️) did our best making new animals move as smoothly as possible, but be aware that clipping is still present in certain animations. Also, these animals behave and sound like normal dogs. Hopefully we'll find a way to mute them in the future.

Animals come with a set of objects that are more appropriate for farm animals - new bed, toy, 2 "bowls" and deco hay. Objects have morphs and dirty states. Note that the feeders works like a pet bowl meaning they will randomly rotate but it won't prevent pets from eating normally.

All animals come with original Sims 4 textures (1024x1024 for llama and 512x512 for goat and sheep), converted and tweaked by me. Animal colors are separated so you can pick and choose only the ones you want. Collection file for objects is included. I also recommend these and these Uldum rug add-ons (if you want other sizes for the hay overlay).

Fixed toy's thumbnail - it's no longer empty. Added a custom version for the hay rug, I'd recommend using a custom rug rather than ULDUM because it has no outdoor shadow (ULDUM can't be fixed). Updated the collection file to include new rug.

“Is that…is that a bunny?”

Your eyes widened from you spot in the kitchen as you quickly grabbed the drinks from the fridge before rushing back out to the living room where Alex was currently standing. He was by the window, staring wide-eyed and shocked at the dead bunny lying on the small porch that led outside to your garden.

“Uh yeah,” you said as you handed him his drink, trying to stay as calm and casual as you could. “Poor guy must’ve had a bad run in with a fox.”

Alex frowned sadly. “Poor guy indeed. Are you gonna…dispose of him?”

“Are you asking me what I’m gonna do with the dead bunny on my porch?” You deadpanned, watching as the Brit grew sheepish.

“Well you haven’t moved it yet so,” he trailed off before shrugging his shoulders. His expression became a lot more teasing as he grinned at you. “Why do you not get one of your little boy toys to move it?”

You rolled your eyes, smiling. “They aren’t here right now, they are—”

Alex frowned at the way you quickly cut yourself off. “They are what?”

“Camping,” you said suddenly, frowning a little at your own excuse but you had already dug your grave, you may as well lie in it. “They, uh, wanted to get outdoors for a few days.”

“And you didn’t go with?” Alex asked.

“Pfft,” you let out a small laugh. “Nah, I don’t do the outdoors. That’s their thing.”

And that much was true, so very true in a way that you could never disclose to your best friend or anyone else for that matter. Your relationship with Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc was already constantly under question and scrutiny, the last thing they needed was another thing to obsess over.

And you knew they would love to find out you were practically dating two massive puppies.

“You can’t keep doing this,” you said with a sigh as you stood on the porch, a blanket tightly drawn around your shoulders to battle the evening chill as you watched the two wolves pad towards the house. “I can’t keep explaining the dead bunnies.”

Max approached you first, slightly larger than the two of them with light brown fur and narrow eyes that reminded you of a predator. Charles had darker fur, slightly leaner and smaller of the two.

The lighter wolf padded forward, dropping the small animal at your feet before looking up at you expectantly.

You huff out a small laugh, shaking your head. “I appreciate it, baby, but I don’t know how many more I can handle burying.”

The darker wolf let out a whimper, his head tilted to the side. It took everything in you to not roll your eyes as you leaned over, softly scratching behind his ears as he nosed at your legs.

It was rare for them to get like this, to crave their animal form. But it happened. Not very often, and honestly you hadn’t even seen it many times in the time you had been dating. It was just these deep, primal urges that made them crave the wolf side of themselves, that made them parade around the woods behind your house for days in their animal form until they were ready to come back home.

But even in these moods, your boys had an overpowering sense of caring for you. And unfortunately in wolf form, that meant hunting innocent bunnies as a small present (and probably dinner) in their eyes.

“I forget how cute you two are like this,” you murmured as you sat on the steps of the porch, both wolves curling up by your feet as they preened and flourished under your attention. “My lil’ puppies, hm?”

Max lifted his head up to glare.

“Oh hush, you’re the biggest puppy,” you smiled as you leaned down to softly pat his head. A smile that widened when he whined after you pulled away.

“But I seriously mean it, no more bunnies or you’re both staying in the dog house.”

outside preening and train displays for breeding season do peafowl show affection and bond with each other in any ways unique to them? do they ever engage in play or other activities?

They actually don't do a lot of preening each other, most of it is preening themselves in the same location. They inspect each others faces, and parasite pick (or sometimes pick loose feathers), but they don't do allopreening like parrots or some other birds do.

They don't have a lot of bonding activities, beyond just... hanging out. They loaf together, they walk around together, they talk to each other. Hens, even when they don't have babies, will sometimes pick up a "treat" and do the "good treat!!!!" call while holding it near the ground, until one of the other hens comes to get it.

The coolest thing they do for bonding is what I call playing chase. They have a stance where their chest comes down, butt comes up (but not "display" up, just raised), and their wings fold out slightly. It looks remarkably like a dog slapping their paws down into "play with me" stance, and it's much the same message- "Let's play!" They will hop/flutter in this stance, and then go bouncing and hopping around, and anyone nearby may join in chasing them or being chased. This tends to happen more when they're young, before sexual maturity, but the older hens do it when they have a close friend or two. I still see Eris and Artemis and Stella and Aris and Arcana, and OCCASIONALLY Stan doing it, just not as often/readily as the babies will do it (they do it almost every morning when I let them out of the coops and they are overcome with excitement about it).

I got a quick free-range game of it on film once!

That's Corona up front... she never plays. She's the most Serious bird I own. But you can see how they are bouncing and have their wings out and loose, and their brother comes RACING over to join them, and they both bounce up really high and dramatically when they see him, but they aren't flying away, they're circling around to him.

And here's the difference in another gif- when Stella's sister (right side, brown lady) comes running over, Stella thinks she's instigating play, so she starts bouncing and running to her brother, but he doesn't want to play right now, so he doesn't engage.

I have a few videos somewhere of my hand-raised babies playing chase with me. I want to get more videos of the outdoors ones playing, but it's so random and I don't have time to get my camera out, so it's like... if they do it while I already have my camera out and running in video. But it's my favorite thing they do, they look so silly.

They also will pick up and drop/throw around shed feathers, but I'm not sure if that's "play" behavior so much as "food testing" behavior. But, Beep had a bunch of cat toys, some of which she probably COULD have eaten (like her bluejay), but she would just pick them up and shake them/throw them, which is much the same as they do with feathers or small sticks.

Again, I don't know that I would classify it as play, and it may not be unique to them, but it is an interesting activity.

Last one I can think of off the top of my head is climbing things. They love jumping up and around on things. Games of chase that can include Being High Up are the best games. Corona, as serious as she is, still gets very happy to jump up and down on stuff. I think if I installed a fowl swing in her enclosure, she'd use it.

I'm sure there are others neat behaviors, but those are the first few I thought of.

So, you want to get a tommy

Great! Tommys are wonderful creatures and full of personality. But there are things you should consider before getting them:

Tommys have a very long lifespan compared to dogs or cats- 35-40 years to be exact. A tommy is a big commitment and if you're on the older side you might even need to pass yours on to another family member.

Tommys are extremely energetic, overwhelmingly so. By the time I finish tiring out my tommys, I'm usually sweating and exhausted (love them though)

The most popular breed of tommy (dsmp or canon depending on who you ask) are significantly more prone to anxiety than other breeds. Please do not get one just because you've seen them online

Tommys have diets that may be upsetting to some people- they eat bugs and shellfish (and fruit), if you're upset by either, don't get one, please.

All that being said, here's a quick and dirty guide to getting your first tommy!

Choosing a tommy

There are lots of ways to choose a tommy, there's plenty of shelters to choose from and most house every kind of tommy. I recommend going in person and picking whichever you feel the closest to- but picking a specific breed is fine too! I'll leave a guide to the two breeds I know best (feel free to add info about other breeds)

DSMP/Canon - As previously stated, a very popular breed of tommy. They form strong bonds with owners and other pets and generally mix well with other popular mcyts such as tubbos and wilburs. However, they are easily startled and can be very messy due to being burrowers. They're also known to experience strong 'play aggression' and can accidentally injure others if they get too riled up.

Origin(s) - I know much less about this breed, but I still feel confident speaking on them as I have fostered origins tommys in the past. Origins tommys are much more mentally sound than dsmp breeds and do not have the major caveat of having to eat bugs as they are completely vegetarian! However, they do have minor flight abilities, which may be a turn-off for some owners.

Setting up your home for your tommy

Tommys need an outdoor area of at least 25 sq ft for digging and general enrichment. Tommys who are let outside unsupervised should be belled to prevent damage to the local ecosystem and the tommy themselves, as they have a bad habit of eating birds and squirrels, fur and bones, which they cannot digest.

All tommys need a small, private space to hide and rest in. A cardboard box will do just fine under most circumstances as long as it is large enough for your tommy to stretch out in to prevent claustrophobic anxiety (which dsmp tommys are especially prone to).

Lastly, tommys need chew toys. Chewing is their main way of relieving stress and expressing joy and not having a consistent outlet for it is extremely upsetting for them.

Additional advice

Tommys cannot swim and should not be let near bodies of water deeper than knee-height.

Dsmp tommys are terrified of heights and should not be placed on counters or tables.

⭐CG!Lunar Headcanons!

🍼Lunar is pretty good with kids of all ages, but is best with kids between 0-4. He loves taking care of babies, giving them their pacifier and toys, holding them and reading them bedtime stories. For a baby regressor, he'd do exactly that. He has a bunch of age appropriate story books for you to choose from, and he'll take you into his blanket fort (filled with toys, stuffed animals, blankets and pillows galore, fairy lights casting a comforting and soothing light onto everything) to read to you.

⭐He has plenty of toys and stuff for you in a toy bin, along with a bunch of games and stuffed animals, so you'll never be bored! He's willing to play games and stuff with you, making sure not to go too easy on you, but not too hard. Great at playing pretend! You wanna be a knight and him the princess? Oh no, he's stuck in a tower, waiting for his knight to save him! Doctor and patient? Oh, doctor, his body is melting and he needs immediate help! Dinosaurs? Rawrrrrrr!

🍼He also has a bunch of art supplies for you. He knows that kids, especially younger ones, are bound to make messes. But if you make a mess on purpose, then he'll take the art supplies away for a bit. But if you're good with them, using them as intended, then he'll tell you how awesome/pretty your art is, and how much of a good little artist you are! If you give him a drawing, then he'll hang it up in his room on his wall <3

⭐He's great at bedtime! He'll dim the lights, turning on your nightlight if you have one and protecting you from the scary monsters. Then, he'll turn on either some lullabies, background noise (think ocean noises, outdoor noises, ect,.), or he can keep it quiet if that's what you want. Anything that'll help you sleep, he'll get/do.

🍼He's pretty good with rules and punishments, of course if you don't feel comfy with any then he won't make them. If you do want them, though, then he'll be good to enforce them, making sure you're good. Of course, sometimes he'll bend a rule or two for you, getting you that extra treat after dinner or something. But most of his rules are for safety, and those won't change. His punishments consist of fifteen minutes in the timeout corner and grounding you. Nothing extreme, of course. Puppy dog eyes and crocodile tears don't work on him, but he isn't above bribing you with candy (unless you can't have candy).

⭐He's very affectionate, but only if you're comfy with that. If you do feel comfortable with it, then he'll hold and hug you, giving you forehead kisses and telling you how precious and adorable you are. He loves cooing over you, giving you compliments and praise. You know he loves having you as his kiddo, he makes it very clear.

🍼He's great with kiddos that have disabilities. POTS syndrome? He's got salty snacks on hand and knows exactly how to comfort and help you if you do pass out. Chronic pain of any sort? He's got heated blankets, stuffed animals for comfort, heating pads, and cold pads! You're deaf or partially deaf, and prefer using a form of sign? He's fluent and uses it all the time around you.

⭐This applies to mental health, too! You have OCD? He'll help you do your checks if he can, and helping you through any rougher times. Autism? He always makes sure that you're not overwhelmed and that you have your headphones and stuff if you have any. ARFID? He'll make sure he always has your safe foods on hand, and whereas he'll encourage you to eat at least one meal a day, he won't force you, nor will he put you down for not doing so.

🍼Long story short, Lunar makes for a great caregiver! You're lucky if you have him as your cg.

Medieval Recolors of Objects Dump, part 1

There isn't enough maxis match medieval cc, so here is a little set of recolors, making some game items look more appropriate for the era. Not everything is pictured, but apart from the Ye old cookbook oven, everything on the pictures is included. As you can see there is enough to furnish a house (apart from the bathtub: I found enough good cc bathtub options, and the base game wooden one can work fine, so I didn't bother with it).

This set contains 21 items, please read the item description (below the cut) because not everything is base game compatible!

Also, as you can see, this is part 1, there is a part 2 planned, and some CAS items too.

⚡️ » I feel like this Jolteon in particular adores a good game of hide and seek, but usually with it being the seeker! It always gets excited when it sees you and jumps out from its hiding spot on accident ^^;.. Fortunately, it cheers right up seeing just how much you giggle about it afterwards.

⚠️ » If one of your beloved toys end up losing its battery, guess who can charge it right back up? Jolteon, of course! Jolteon finds no trouble in doing it, that is until it’s 8 pm. If someone’s regression involves a lot of meltdowns, tantrums, or other such reactions, it’ll let you hold it until you calm down for bed.

⚡️ » If you feel like you need one, this Jolteon is trained enough to classify as a service dog! It has a bunch of vests decorated in cute patches and, of course we cannot forget the most important, ‘Service Pokémon: Do Not Pet’ patch to make sure it can help you at best performance.

I got an email from my local shelter with tips for keeping pets safe this holiday. So I just want to spread the word:

July 4th Fireworks can trigger anxiety in pets

Fireworks can cause anxiety in our pets that may last for a long time. Signs of stress include: shaking, drooling, howling or barking, pacing, trying to find a place to hide, and loss of bladder control.

When scared, some dogs may show aggressive behavior, and some may be so scared they run off.

Here are 3 tips to make sure you and your pet are prepared for the holiday:

Make sure that your pet is wearing a collar with identification tags; if they are microchipped, ensure that the contact information is current and correct in case they become lost.

Set your pet up in a quiet, temperature-controlled room with some of their favorite toys; turn on some soft music, a television, or a white noise machine to help drown out the noises caused by fireworks. A room with no windows can also block out the bright lights.

There are medications to help reduce stress and anxiety, so speak with your veterinarian to determine which, if any, medication would be appropriate for your pet.

Additional Summer Safety Tips

Keep your pet safe and healthy by following these important basic guidelines:

Prevention is always your best bet. Whenever possible, leave your pet at home in a cool humidity and temperature-regulated room.

If your pet must be outdoors, find a shady spot with ample air flow to prevent overheating.

Hydration is key, so keep a bowl of cold water accessible at all times.

Limit exercise to the morning or evening hours when temperatures are at their coolest.

Never leave your pet alone in a parked car — even with the air conditioner on or the windows cracked. Remember, when the temperatures rise, it’s Too Hot for Spot®

Big girl gifts and big girl rooms.

The first gifts

Isabela and Dolores are excited to finally get their very own big girl rooms. Both girls had been in the nursery with Luisa who was only a toddler at the time and sometimes didn't understand what Isabela and Lola were doing.

Plus both girls started school in September just after their fifth birthday. They deserved their own room to play and sleep.

Bruno came home the weekend before isabela's birthday and had the month off and could celebrate with his sobrinas. Bruno drove large forty foot supply trucks across the country. This meant he had a sleeper truck and hardly ever came home. He usually made an appearance for birthdays and holidays. Sometimes it wasn't plausible but he tried his best not to miss too much.

Pepa was working on starting a small business between her job as a waitress in the most popular restaurant in town, and being a mom to her daughter and an aunt to her nieces. Julieta was running a small catering business out of their home kitchen which so far had made excellent money. She was always left with large tips for excellent work. Agustin was a carpenter and Felix worked at his brother's outdoor company, usually installing pools and mowing lawns, it made good money so he couldn't complain and Pepa certainly want complaining when her man came home from work all sweaty and hot. She found the sweaty hardworking man attractive usually joining him in the shower before dinner.

The day of Isabela's birthday came and they kept it small, family only. She was showered with love and treated to new toys and dress up costumes. She had her favorite cake, red velvet with chocolate mousse, and she got her bedroom. The door glowing just like the triplets' had five years prior.

As soon as Isabela touched the doorknob the door glowed and engraved itself with a floral design. Brunos eyes glowed green and yet another message tablet from their father.

"what does the tablet say?" Pepa asked curious to see what their father had to say about Isabela.

"it says, 'to my first born granddaughter, you may not know me but I know you. A beautiful little girl waiting to blossom into amazing things as she grows and learns. Isabela I grant you the gift to help grow plants by simply touching them, and the ability to make blossoms appear in your hands. May you use this gift to help the people you love. Your grandfather, Pedro.'" Bruno read.

"Who? I don't have an abuelo?" Isabela asked.

"You do, he just never got a chance to meet you. He protected me and your mami tia and tio when they were only bebés. Before you were born I came to grace this house for your mami tio and tia, by some miracle after lighting the candle it granted them gifts. Your tio Bruno has the gift to see the future and show small pieces of the past. Every time a new gift is granted he gets a message tablet like the one he read. It is his magic that grants these gifts and even in death he gives us messages so we understand the magic." Alma explains to the child.

"so I will get a gift on my birthday?" Dolores asks

"I believe so. The magic is still new to us so I don't know how it all works just yet," Alma tells.

Regardless Isabela opens her door to see the best bedroom a five year old in 2000 could possibly have. She has a Clifford themed room. It had decals of the large red dog and all his friends on the walls, and everything was themed around Clifford. The bed was made with brand new bed sheets that were Clifford themed with a red blanket that matched everything.

Julieta knew the room would need a facelift in a year or two but indulging her baby with a bedroom themed around her favorite show for her birthday was more important.

Pepa smiled knowing Dolores would love her bedroom just as much as Isabela loved hers.

Three weeks pass and many sleepovers are had in Isabela's new room. Until the day came and it was finally Dolores's birthday. Her new bedroom door glowed with potential, and after a trip to the beach to celebrate Dolores was excited to see what was behind her door.

She touched the knob and watched the engravings swirl around and make sound waves. Then brunos eyes out up in their signature green and a tablet placed in his hand.

"to my second oldest granddaughter, many words describe your wonder but I often describe you as an owl. You have bright eyes to see the potential, and a smile that lights up a room like the sun after a storm. Your gift is the ability to hear even the tiniest of sounds when you need to. May you use this gift to help the people you love, your grandfather, Pedro" Bruno read immediately, knowing if he hesitated he'd be asked what the tablet said.

When Dolores turned the knob she found her room decorated with strawberry shortcake. Just like Isabela's room she had decals of strawberry and all her friends on the walls. Her bed was made with strawberry shortcake sheets and a pink blanket similar to her cousin's.

The room is likely to grow with Dolores at least for a few years but by the time she's 10 her room will need a redo. But like Julieta, Pepa didn't care because her daughters happiness was all that mattered.

Following Dolores's birthday, Julieta announced her third pregnancy.

She knew it was only a matter of time until Pepa announced her own pregnancy since she overheard a conversation between the married couple a few weeks prior.

Not even a month an a half later and Pepa finally announced her pregnancy, and so the cycle begins. Again.

After having her for a few days, I’m completely enamored with my new doggie - her name is Treasure and she responds to it well, but I might shorten it to Tess - but, it hasn’t been easy for either of us. She’s just bursting with love and desire for affection, but either she’s so overwhelmed in a new environment that she’s forgetting her training, or she was pretty untrained to begin with. It’s like she just doesn’t really get the “rules” of being a pet dog and interacting with humans. And I think she got used to being a mostly-outdoor dog.

She gets really mouthy when she’s feeling playful and has torn through a lot of her toys as well as my weighted blanket - what a mess, beads everywhere! She pulls hard on the leash, I’m gonna buy her a harness instead of a collar (the rescue told me to get her a martingale collar but she’s choking herself on it) to see if that helps. And, she’s had several accidents in the house. So I’m contacting local trainers to get her in for obedience training, there’s actually a dog trainer really close to where I live which would be really convenient, and I’ll take her for lessons ASAP.

For now, she actually does do some things really well, and has responded to assertive “no!” and being ignored. She’s even good off-leash, doesn’t stray too far and comes when called. She gets along well with the dog I’ve been dogsitting (my parents are watching her), and is usually really good in her crate. And she’s curious about the chickens but doesn’t seem inclined to chase anything - she won’t even chase a tennis ball because it means leaving my side!

Thinking about it with a clear head it’s really pretty obvious why she’d act this way. I contacted her first foster to tell her I’ve adopted her, and the foster was ecstatic! Apparently, Tess was found scrounging for food in a dumpster in Alabama, with no fur from nasty skin issues. She’s 7 and only just got spayed this January, and she’s got swollen nipples so I’m sure she’s had puppies before, if she was a stray probably more than once. Her ears are all torn up, and she had heartworm when they found her. Her old foster had her for 8 months, nursing her back to health, and said it took 4 months for Tess to become comfortable with her. But she definitely touched the foster’s heart, even after 10 years of fostering she said Tess was something special. The whole community got together to help her, and Tess came with a huge bag of toys, treats, and sweaters/coats that had been donated just for her.

Then in early May she was shuttled off to a foster in Vermont, a very nice old man took her in but it seems he kind of just let her run loose with his other fosters and be a farm dog. He didn’t correct her when she jumped on him, he seemed like he adored her but might have been too permissive since he was busy with lots of other stuff. I can’t criticize him though, I’m a pushover and I’m sure that’s not helping. I’ve always been bad at boundaries, with animals and people. Treasure and I have a lot in common I think, we both just want to be loved but get confused about the Rules of Society™️. So I’ll stick by her, believe in her, and help her out as best as I can, treat her the way I wish I would be treated lol.

My dad gave me a good pep talk yesterday, telling me that I need to be more assertive and not to let her be rough with me. My dad’s been a big help - I think it’s actually that he wants a dog himself, but probably won’t get one himself since my little nephew is allergic and visits often. But he says once she has better leash manners he’ll walk her for me if necessary, and my mom will help too. We’ll set up an invisible fence for her eventually so she can run around outside more safely, but I think for now as long as I’m watching her she’s okay to run off leash to get out some of her energy and jitters. Right now, she’s sleeping soundly next to me on the bed, listening to the rain falling. We’ll work this out together. She’s really a good dog, no aggression, fear, or anything like that. She just has Big (Happy) Feelings and doesn’t know how to let them out in a healthy and safe way. And she’s been through so much, it’s a testament to her character (and the hard work of her fosters) that she’s so willing to love people.

But if anyone here has experience with dogs or dog training, or helpful tips or anything, I’d love to hear it! I’m a beginner with dogs too, I know how this stuff works in theory but in practice it sometimes feels overwhelming for me.

Appearance: Young, around average height, stocky build with strong shoulders, and thick thighs. Shoulder length wave, dyed black, faded ends, green eyes. Wears glasses, prefers darker clothing varying from practical and comfortable to standard rock girl fare: boots, jeans, band shirt and jacket.

Occupation: Retail at a Outdoor and Hunting Store. (long story)

Family Members: Dad: Stephen, tragically and very recently deceased. (right in front of her). Mum: Alice. Alive but estranged but currently taking her daughter in. Also has secretive reasons for leaving that are plot/worldbuilding related. Paternal Uncle: Bazza (Benjamin), an absolute rough-nut of a human. Handles pest control on farms and shears sheep, helps manage livestock Kind of a nomad. Maternal Grandmother: Linda. Kat doesn't remember her Grandmother well or fondly. Might have something to do with that boatload of trauma.

Pets: Crocbait, knowns as Croc, Crocca, or "Absolute mongrel". Service dog for panic attacks, anxiety and PTSD and the like. Is a mutt, seems to be some combination of Blue Heeler (aussie cattle dog) and Labrador mix. The result is an energetic, friendly but fiercely protective companion that knows how to be adorable on demand.

Best friend: Back in Aus: Rachel - Roommate and bestie, athletic playing Netball on the weekends, degree in business and working at a call center to make ends meet. Taught Kat crotchet and his a small side business making crochet stuffies. In the US: Alex: Very neurodivergent, transman and just a practical nerd. Shoots for fun/hunting. Introvert, but sees a fellow outsider in Kat and offers the kind of friendship they wished they had. Strong problem solver and a stable rock.

Describe his/her room: More of a guest bedroom with en-suite upgraded. At one point her Mum hope she'd visit and use it so there's still some younger vibes, a few of Kat's favourite toys untouched for years and pale colours. Kat's touch is limited with darker bed spreads, personal photos and a books. It's early days yet and she isn't sure how long she's staying around.

Way of Speaking: Wry sarcasm, and quick wit, casual and slag filed until she's pissed off then it gets precise and impersonal and a little condescending. If it suddenly starts raining hard, she's likely to ask "Think it'll rain?" while getting soaking wet.
