New York City at 10:44 PM ET on September 10, 2001 (via WPIX)

Benjamin Keefe Clark wasn’t a police officer or firefighter on September 11, 2001; he was a chef, preparing meals for the Fiduciary Trust Company on the 96th floor of the South Tower.

When the plane hit, instead of trying to save himself, he focused on guiding others to safety.

A former Marine, Clark made sure everyone in his department and the 96th floor offices evacuated.

According to Fiduciary senior vice president Bibi Conrad, Clark likely helped hundreds of employees escape. After ensuring many had fled, he even went back to check on others.

He was last seen helping a woman in a wheelchair on the 88th floor with three maintenance workers. Clark sadly perished when the building collapsed.

Terrorist Marwan Al-Shehhi's boarding pass for United Airlines flight 175, the aircraft that crashed into the South Tower.

This NYPD badge belonged to Moira Smith, who assisted evacuees in the South Tower. In the photo on the left, she is seen helping Ed Nicholls into an ambulance before going into the South Tower's lobby to help others. 10 minutes after this photo was taken, the building collapsed with Moira inside.

A postcard pictured with the Twin Towers lies amid the rubble of the World Trade Center.

This recovered phone belonged to Ramon Suarez, a Puerto Rico native. Suarez was a member of the NYPD Transit Bureau District 4, he responded to the towers on September 11th. He was 45 years old.

This recovered firefighter helmet belonged to Michael T. Weinberg. A member of Engine Company 1, Weinberg was off duty on the morning of September 11th but self-dispatched upon hearing about the attacks.

This photograph, taken by Robert Sabo on September 11, 2001, at 6:23 AM, captures the New York skyline with the Twin Towers. Just over two hours later, at 8:46 AM, Flight 11 crashed into floors 93 to 99 of the North Tower. Seventeen minutes after that, at 9:03 AM, Flight 175 struck floors 77 to 85 of the South Tower.

You were able to see the core structure of the twin towers during sunset.

Harrowing photo shows FDNY Chief Assistant Gerard A. Barbara looking up at the burning World Trade Center on 9/11. He later lost his life when the South Tower collapsed while he was inside.

Genelle Guzman-McMillan was the last person rescued from the rubble of the World Trade Center after the September 11 attacks in 2001, having spent 27 hours trapped in the rubble.

Speaking about the incident Genelle said: “The dust and the sound and everything came crashing down. I braced myself, fell to the ground, and laid there until it came to a complete stop. Then there was this deathly silence.”

“I was trapped there for 27 hours. It felt like I was there forever. I couldn’t move and it was excruciating. I just kind of prepared myself to fall asleep and not wake up because of the pain, but every time I drifted off, I’d realize that I was still breathing and still alive.”

Genelle spent nearly three months in the hospital, but she survived against the odds.

400 years later the poet Andrew McMillan investigates Michelangelo's poems, talking to Dr Ambra Moroncini, who, as Senior Lecturer, teaches them at the University of Sussex; to Professor Konrad Eisenbichler who, as well as literature, taught a course on sexuality and gender in the Renaissance at the University of Toronto.

Colin Matthews, who was Benjamin Britten's assistant, talks about his 'Seven Sonnets of Michelangelo'. The composer's setting was a love gift to his partner, Peter Pears.

McMillan discovers growing interest in Michelangelo's poems today, especially among queer writers. Alex Cocker has just published 'Say, Spirit' in which they make versions of the sonnets, each three times, in the voices of three imagined translators.

They all talk of Michelangelo - the poet - and we hear his poems, translated by James M. Saslow, read by Sir Simon Russell Beale.

Big Shadow by Marta Balcewicz

I LOVEDDDDD BIG SHADOW SO MUCH!!! Everyone please read this book! :) It's published by a Canadian indie, and Marta is SUCH an excellent writer (I worked with her on Minola!). This is the best book I've read all year 100%, and one of my all-time faves.

2. I Got A Name by Eliza Robertson

So y'all already know I admire Eliza so much as a writer, and this is her first nonfiction book (true crime). I've never read a true crime book (but used to be really into true crime), and this book was so well researched. I also listened to the audiobook that Eliza narrates, and it was fantastic!

3. Pageboy by Elliot Page

Y'ALL this book was written SOOO WELL!!! I read it in like 2 days. Also nonfiction!

4. The Immortalists by Chloe Benjamin

This was a reread--I originally read this book when it came out! This is like one of the only other books I know of that's written in third person present tense, so I re-read it to reinvigorate some inspo while I was writing BODY BACK. Loved!!!!

5. A Hundred Lovers by Richie Hofmann

This one's poetry! I LOVED this collection so much. Give me gay poetry and I die <3 so many Lonan and Harrison coded poems it's not even funny.

6. Physical by Andrew McMillan

This is also queer poetry! One of my viewers recommended this one to me SO THANK YOU TO THAT PERSON!! This collection feels like it's in the family of Hofmann's (they even have a similar cover???), and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Basically if I come out of a poetry collection with a ton of potential epigraphs, I loved it!

And for bonus angst or crack, depending on your feelings: on this night, due to a lack of covers, Macavity's two minions who carried off Deuteronomy were none other than our favourite two orange stripey kids!

(Look at the shoes: hers are almost white, his are almost black. We also get a glimpse of orange and white under his mask in another frame but it's too blurry to translate well into stills. The only other cats offstage at this point are Plato (who is Macavity), Misto (busy getting ready for his solo), and Alonzo and Gus (Mac decoys).)

Since Rumpelteazer had to participate in the 'Macavity' song, Mungojerrie brought fake Deut in alone... but honey you're not subtle we see that orange and black wig under that mask.

Usually I assume the henchcats/minions are completely separate characters, but this time? Oooh this is too juicy. I'm gonna call this canon for this night: that was actually them under the disguises!

M&R carried him off, then Demeter sang I might mention Mungojerrie with Rumpelteazer right there onstage with her. Guys, they're onto you. They know where your silly little side gig has led you, even though you didn't mean for it to go that far...

... and now where's it got you?

Jerrie's day keeps getting better and better. Look what you did. You messed up a perfectly good tribe protector is what you did, look at him, he's got lacerations.

... and Teazer is on the other side of the stage. Is that an incitement to cowardice ("she isn't by my side, I am paralysed by indecision") or bravery ("I must get to her somehow!")? Who knows, but eventually....
