Though i have no doubt that buddie stans lack cognitive skills and display extreme levels of cognitive dissonance, the montage that was shown where Hen and Chim had a whole celebration for Tommy's farewell, and the fact that they hung out at the bar after work, and Chimney and Hen called on/relied on Tommy twice when the 118 was in trouble, should tell you that Tommy apologized & sought forgiveness & redemption, and their relationship was soon mended.
