If rape is fine because “it’s just fiction”, then where do you draw the line? Is there a line at all? Writing about your sick rape fantasies is no different than writing about pedophilia. It may be fiction, but it reflects who you are as a person and what you’re into. I just need to rant here for a second because OH MY GOD-

Stars Align is so fucking incredible. By the end, tears were streaming down my face and i just screeched, “What the actual fuck?!” Because this anime sent me through the five stages of grief within the span of one season. These boys need new parents and hugs, and fucking everything. I would give them my soul, okay, that’s how much these boys need it.

The worst part is that no one and their fucking mother talks about this anime because the fandom is practically dead, but i want to rant to someone about this so badly. You have no idea the inner workings of my brain that go absolutely feral when someone even mutters, “stars align.”

YES. TELL ME ALL ABOUT WHAT YOU THOUGHT OF IT AND I WILL BREAK DOWN EVERY CHARACTER EVEN IF THEY ARE A PATHETIC EXCUSE OF A HUMAN BEING.

I will pull an Oliver Wood and try to drown myself in the shower if someone supports certain behaviors from the characters here.

ALSO, DID I MENTION THAT THERE IS A CANON NONBINARY CHARACTER?!

They are literally one of the sweetest fucking characters in stars align and i would hand them the goddamn universe if i could.

So, if you haven’t watched Stars Align(available on Hulu and Crunchyroll if we’re talking main streaming services) please invest your time to do so because you will not be disappointed.

There’s only one season because of budget issues(not enough streams was the problem I’m pretty sure), but holy fuck you will not be disappointed i swear.

like yes, mechanically, she lost her tenth life. she jumped and died from fall damage. but that’s not how she ended the story.

shulk shubble (shulkble?) had just witnessed the death of the only other person properly remaining, the inverse of herself, shadow joey/shadow boy/shadow 2.0. the last thing she wanted to do was watch the sunset and have a picnic, the one thing she endlessly craved on her first life back when she was the shadow.

“everybody’s kind of.. long gone and dead. onto the next… life. after-afterlife?”

“…i don’t really know what comes next.”

and then she simply vanishes. she simply says this is goodbye, and then the camera is obscured by a stray leaf and she’s gone. it’s quiet, there’s just the sound of the wind as it goes dark.

Irks me a little bit whenever Dean torturing in Hell is positioned as his own fault, or even really his choice to do. We get given the solid number, 30 years of torture for him and 10 inflicting it on other people (which was also more torture for him because it’s Hell, the torture evolves, it doesn’t stop), and we get told that wasn’t long enough. That John held out longer. That angels were going to pull Dean out of Hell and if he’d just held on a few years more, the seal wouldn’t have been broken.

But that isn’t true, right? We know Heaven wanted the seal broken, ergo Dean wasn’t getting saved until it was. Until it, and he, we’re thoroughly broken and usable by Heaven to achieve their own ends (ie to make him into a good (obedient) Michael sword.) So, it wouldn’t have mattered how long he held out in Apocalyptic terms because the game (that he didn’t know he was playing) was rigged against him.

But more importantly for Dean, the amount of time he managed not to break literally does not matter. Because it was never going to be long enough. Thirty years, forty, a hundred, a thousand, it does not matter how long he held out because the breaking itself is the unforgivable part to him and the breaking was always inevitable.

Anyway. There’s my Dean meta for the year. Eat up, I guess.
