I'm late to the party, but here's my take on the NoMae deleted hug scene! No background this time (thankfully, lol) and this piece is slightly more realistic (to an extent) than the other ones I made.

Is there like…a Beauty and the Beast-type fic out there with ascended Astarion?

Where he takes Tav into his palace and refuses to let them go, instead lavishing them with gifts in hopes that they’ll eventually fall for him? Maybe he’s not inherently evil—he’s sickeningly pleasant towards Tav and his servants. But Tav still despises him for, ya know, kidnapping them. Perhaps day by day, Tav starts to see pieces of spawn Astarion peeking from beneath his facade, and they begin to fall for that side of him little by little, hoping to catch glimpses of the man he once was throughout their stay.

Did someone write this? If so, please, please link me to it. 😭😭😭

I am intrigued by the Beauty and the Beast fic — where (did I read that right) Cloak has been cursed to be the beast?! :0 Could you please share more about it (a snippet or an idea or what inspired you to write it or anything else you want)? Thank you~!

Oooooo, tysm for asking, dear! 💖🥰 This idea was inspired by a gorgeous piece of fan art I saw a while back, featuring a stunning, red-haired woman who wore Cloak's epaulets as combs in her hair. I'm sure Stephen was also in the artwork, but I mostly remember the beautiful flow of her hair. Sadly, though, I can't access anything beyond what I remember right now as it's all locked in my flash drive, and since my laptop died, I have no other means to open that (or any 😔) files.

The gist of the story would be a beautiful, haughty Sorceress had been cursed for her selfishness, etc (as the Beast in the fairytale), and turned into the sentient relic, bound to serve other Masters of the Mystic Arts until she learns humility and selflessness--indeed, until her heart is changed enough to allow her to love another more than herself. And of course, she would finally achieve that miraculous change in her service to Stephen Strange,

experiencing firsthand his unhesitating willingness to sacrifice himself for the sake of humanity (Dormammu, the Endgame timeline search, etc). In her love and admiration for Stephen, she actually realizes she'd rather remain his relic, a helpmate to his work, than become human again--and that's the very thing that breaks the curse.

Truly, I can find no words to describe how much I'd love to write this tale for real, but as it has for nearly two years now, my writer's block persists. But I'm incredibly grateful for this chance to talk about it!!

This is the second smut swap fic I wrote. As soon as I saw the prompts, I had the idea of Tywin being the evil wizard, and wrote this pretty quickly. I ended up leaning hard into the fairy tale style, so the monsterfucking turned out pretty soft (though all of my smut seems to turn out pretty soft so I suppose it was gonna get there either way). I actually have about five hundred additional words of this fic that I had to cut for space reasons, about Jaime arriving at the castle and them growing closer. It was a good challenge for me to find ways to make their connection believable while not blowing past the word limit.

Saw a gifset of Morpheus and had the random thought that he'd make a fantastic children's picture book mouse character— and now I really, really want a fic where he appears in a kid's dream as a Kevin Henkes/Helen Craig/Beatrix Potter -esque mouse as to not scare them or something. I think it's something about Morpheus' usual mousey moue and big wet eyes that make it work in my head lolll Mousepheus!!

I know he's technically interrogating her, however, I have unofficially dubbed this as the "Beauty and the Beast" scene; because it just felt like something straight out of the fairy tale (and I am an absolute sucker for anything BATB related, heehee).

The lighting, the book shelf along the wall, Mae wearing something blue (and they both eventually wear blue near the end), and even Noa coming in from the window/hole in the ship wall.

"Raka said apes and humans lived side by side. Is that true?"

Noa is so angry at Mae for lying to him that it lasts just one minute 🥺 my baby boy haha we see you!

i never liked soulmates. i think it feels cheap, to some degree, if there is someone or something out there that picked you out and declared, “this is the one. there is only Them.” - i don’t want to love if it’s pre- determined or foretold or in any way guaranteed. i want a mystery. i want to be able to hope. i want to look at you and say, “i am choosing this on my own. i am the one who decides to love on purpose, and nobody told me to love you, and nobody taught me how, and that is the sublimity of it: i love you because we are not destined. i love the choice of you.”

no hate to canonically soulmate couples, some of my favourite fictional couples are, but honestly i love the idea that you find someone and care about them and decide to love them and make it work much more romantic then being 'destined' to be with 'the one'
