Swan princess wars (swan hero?) Wars is odette, so whos prince derrick? Wars seems like the type to be almost accidentally killed by a loved one while being mistaken for the very monster victimizing him. His avenger killing him.
And then he gets impersonated and falls dramatically and beautifully out of the sky when his doppelganger gets allegiance pledged to them instead of wars himself. sassy animal companions! AND THEN- the loved one realizes their mistake and theyre crying over a dead swan and THEN-
I’m not familiar with this story at all but it seems really cool 👁️👁️

Percahalia Swan Lake (1994) AU
Percy is the cursed prince who turns into a swan every day due to the evil magician Delilah Briarwood and her husband who have a special interest in him
Vex is the princess/huntress searching all over the kingdom for her missing fiancée who suddenly disappeared with the help of her brother Vax’ildan and Keyleth
While captive Percy makes friends with other cursed individuals Grog, Pike, and Scanlan
When the Briarwoods find out Percy is meeting with Vex they enlist the help of Saundor as evil Percy doppelgänger to make Percy lose hope in ever escaping
After defeating the Briarwoods and a possible Orthax appearance Vex tells a dying Percy that her heart has always belonged to him- “I should have told you. It’s yours.”
I have been thinking about this all day
#percahalia#vex'halia#percy de rolo#this might be one of the most coherent fics i’ve ever thought of#percy is definitely the swan because there is no way in hell you can tell me otherwise that vex shouldnt be prince derrick#shes practically a hunter and percy fit so much better as odette#percy would still be pretty badass though#i would not make him a damsel in distress#this is basically an excuse for me to use swan lake which i loved as a kid#vox machina

Ok, but like, Ironstrange but The Swan Princess AU. Tony as Odette and Stephen as Derrick. (reference the video 'This Is My Idea'. Its hilariousif you think of Tony and Stephen in that situation.)
I can’t belive I’ve never seen this movie! (and I finally found out were that one "Is beauty all that matters to you ?", " What else is there ?" meme came from)
anyway
I love that AU idea especially that one scene from the video imagine the ancient one and howard talking about important political issues and their kids just fighting in the background or stephen face of disgust kissing tony’s hand XD
they would be adorable as kids ♡♡♡

Swan Princess RotG AU
I've loved the Swan Princess animated movies since I was a kid and could absolutely see Pitch as Rothbart kidnapping Jack as Odette and asking him to marry and inherit the kingdom. He would totally bust out singing about being a bad guy, but I also think he would try to romance Jack a lot more too.
Or Pitch would be prince Derrick, falling hardcore for Jack and professing his everlasting love~
All of the Guardians would absolutely be Jack's menagerie of animal friends! North would be Puffin, Sandy would be the tortoise, Bunny would be Jeanbob the frog, and Tooth would be a hummingbird.

Is Swan Princess public domain? I need someone to rewrite it for me, preferably still as a musical, but instead of falling for Prince Derrick, Odette falls in love with the young peasant girl who feeds her every night when she's a swan, and is her friend during the day.

Okay but seeing Steve as Derrick and Eddie as Odette, imagine Neil as Rothbart and Billy as Odile.
Only in this William wouldn’t be as true to the role because he hates his father, Cornelius and wants the love of Princes Steven and Edward. So perhaps he’s able to break the curse on Eddie only for him to be forced to take the appearance of Eddie and nearly kill him with Steve’s love confession.
… Now I want a fuckin Swan Lake AU FUCK!

Swan Princess AU where Derek and Odette are step siblings instead of lovers.
Okay, so YouTube randomly showed me a clip from The Swan Princess (1994) and I remembered a detail that has bugged me since childhood about the film. Derek’s mom and Odette’s dad are implied to have already been widowed by the time their children are formally introduced. + The adults seem way more into each other than the kids for at least a decade after that. Therefore, it would have made more sense for them to tie the knot to unify their kingdoms than wait for their kids to grow up, especially as it’s implied that the kids got the final say whether they’d be married, even if refusing would severely disappoint their royal parents.
Now that I’m older, I think it would have made even more sense for the parents to get married because of the royal preference for sons, and the fact that Odette was an only child. Realistically, her dad would have wanted to conceive another heir.
Most of the film would be unchanged if the parents had gotten married at the start of the song This Is My Idea and sang about their own love.
The step siblings still could have bickered their whole childhood, but come to realize their (platonic) affection for each other over time instead of suddenly realizing the other was hot one day.
Derek could have still insulted Odette by implying that she was nothing more than a pretty face, before she and her father left to go somewhere.
Derrick still could have been devastated by the loss of his step father and sister and vowed to destroy the beast that killed them while still hoping his step sister was somehow alive.
The evil wizard could have still wanted to marry Odette, and become king. In fact, her need to be at the ball at all costs would make more sense if it was the night her captor planned to murder the rest of her family so that he could take the crown uncontested. Frankly, that would make way more sense than the Princess literally dying if her BF married someone else.
She still could have been resurrected at the end by her brother holding her close and telling her that she was so so much more than a dumb pretty blonde and that he’d miss her forever.
Sibling love is a form of love too, and I personally think that Derek’s arc would have been better if he’d gone from seeing Odette as an unwanted and annoying little sister, to admitting she was one of his closest friends and that he loved her unconditionally despite their differences.
