random billy interactions with other characters that I would have absolutely sold my left kidney for:

billy & robin —> the only reason they did not interact was because Steve would have thrown himself under a bus after an hour spent in their combined presence (they would have 100% ganged up on him)

billy & nancy —> it’s not a super popular duo and it makes me so sad because I could totally see them being academic rivals. and the fun thing is that Nancy could never that coming in a MILLION YEARS, but then during a class the teacher asks a question to hargrove thinking he was distracted and guess what!! most eloquent speech that class had heard in ages (except for when Nancy was the one to make them ofc). She is furious and a bit thrilled at the prospect of having met someone with the brains to match her in class (but she would NEVER in a million years tell him that, because he is still an asshole, of course)

billy & will —> the Williams 😔 they would have bonded so much over the many traumas they had in common:

• abusive dads

• a crush for an oblivious idiot (which they think it’s unrequited)

• possessed by the mind flayer

• cursed with being the ones who attracted the most number of girls in the show

billy & joyce —> listen, THAT’S HIS MOTHER !! I won’t take any criticism

billy & johnatan —> and that’s his brother. with whom he would have 100% argued with over music tho.

billy & lucas —> a storyline about understanding and change of perspective with them would have been soooo important in order to show the audience that you are not forced to believe the prejudices you grew up with for the rest of your life, and that the world out there is so much bigger and different than the one your family taught you about. also billy could have 100% been lucas’ basketball coach during the period of time leading to season 4, as an offer of peace after apologizing.

billy & hopper —> billy would have reminded hopper too much of himself, and hopper would have reminded billy too much of his dad. Not because he was like Neil, but the association would have been inevitable at first. I don’t exactly know how their relationship would have worked out in canon, but it certainly would have taken them a looooot of time to even stand being in the same room together, let alone to start learning more about each other.

When Billy comes up for breakfast the livingroom and kitchen are all decked out in birthday decorations as is tradition for an Anderson birthday. Hank is busy making his special French toast. Gifts are set out on the kitchen island. Hank gifts Billy another ugly button up shirt to go with the one from last year. Lana gifts his a Diseny Princess shirt that matches one she already owns so they can have more matching outfits. Mayson, without Hank's knowledge, somehow managed to get a pocket knife for his brother. Cole, with Hank's help and some of his own allowance, got Billy a gift card to his favorite restaurant. Hand made birthday cards are also given as sell as some spending cash from Hank. (I meant to send this before his birthday and here I am doing it after but what is time in rp or even irl? Just soup so it's fine!)

Billy woke up on his fifteenth birthday feeling excited. It’s been a little more than a year since Hank took him in and he finally feels like he’s part of the family. He can smell the delicious scent of French toast from the kitchen so he put on his shark slippers and went to greet the day.

“Morning, Dad.” He’s still not very confident saying it but the more Hank accepts him the easier it’s getting. The pile of gifts was tempting but Billy opted to eat breakfast first with the family before opening anything. Once that was done he opened each one with a smile on his face. Even the pocket knife got Mayson a hug though he sent a worried look Hank’s way.

“Thanks for all the gifts, guys. I love every single one.” He especially couldn’t wait to use the gift card for that restaurant; maybe he could ask that boy from science class out to dinner sometime..
