Sirius: when the doctor told me that some people got a tummy ache from taking antidepressants, I laughed.
Sirius: I thought to myself 'what type of fucking loser gets a tummy ache?'
Sirius, near tears and lying in a ball on the ground: it's me. I'm the fucking loser

Okay, ow. Chongyun’s known pain, they’ve gone against some tough foes and received many severe injuries. But a simple clumsy accident is something far more rare, and Chongyun is falling to their side in complete shock.
They hadn’t meant to smack their knee into the shelf. Thankfully, nothing spilled from the shelf, but that doesn’t matter right now; Chongyun’s brain is taking tunnel vision focus on the pain.
Even just feeling the injury tells Chongyun that their knee is swollen. With a wince, Chongyun tries to get back up, though not successfully.

Aiden and Ben were moving.
None of them really knew where, but they know that this hangout would be the last time they see eachother. It felt unreal, the simple fact of how none of them knew the next time they'll be able to meet. Maybe in a month, maybe in a year.
The hangout was fun, it was like all of their other hangouts. It was like nothing was wrong, like nothings going to change. At the end was when the tears started to flow. The cousins were leaving early in the morning, so none of them would get a chance to say goodbye.
Ashlyn despised physical contact with people. She hated the way it made her skin crawl and how people would do it without asking her first. But this time, she clung onto Aiden almost as if she let go he would disappear. As embarrassing as it is to admit, she was crying. They all were. They knew that the group would never be the same again, not without their presence. The group will no longer be complete.
After they all said their goodbyes, Ashlyn stayed up in her room, not saying a word. They were really gone. No more of Aiden's bad jokes and no more of Ben's baking. Sobs shook her body, as the realization finally set in.
They were gone and she's never felt more alone

some people in this fandom are going to be really disappointed when winds of winter comes out.
you guys. you cannot treat the POV characters as stepping stones for other characters/other POV characters.
the POV characters must have a fitting end according to their character arcs, themes, foreshadowing, etc.
to clarify, the POV characters chapters are about THEM. their storylines are about THEIR journey. you cannot use their hundreds of pages of character development as a brick to build the castle your fav will live in.
this is especially true for the key 5 and for the other younger POV characters. their endings have everything to do with them, they do not revolve around your fav.
us readers out-of-universe reasons for wanting x or y characters deaths does not matter. what actually matters is if you can support your theories with textual evidence from the chapters of the POV character that you want dead.

right after will comes back from the ud he doesn’t sleep v well bc of nightmares so he’s tired all the time and one time in class mike notices it and goes “hey you can sleep through this class if you want to i’ll take notes for you” and will looks at him blearily and goes “are you sure” bc he’s just too tired to argue and mike gives him this smile and says “yeah, of course i am” and will falls asleep on his desk almost immediately after and when he wakes up to the gentle feeling of mike’s fingers in his hair and a whispered “will!” he realizes that it’s the safest he’s felt since before he disappeared. do you see the vision.

just realized my situation in college is so funny rn. heres why in a greentext format
>be gumy's parents
>you are Good Christian Parents who want your daughter to Walk In The Ways Of The Lord
>when she wanted to go to a secular college you were Very Worried that your Impressionable Daughter would get Radicalized By The Godless Atheist College People (this one is actually somewhat justified- i AM very impressionable and got radicalized in junior high in a way that was very very hard on my mental health and my relationships with my family)
> be relieved when she chooses to go to a Good Christian College instead (it was my own free choice and i had my reasons).
> surely, with her environmental science classes being taught from a God-Fearing Perspective, and with no Godless Atheist College People there, she won't get radicalized!
> she gets radicalized anyways

About the random chest that flashes over MK in the memory scroll:
I‘m pretty sure it‘s Azure. You can see the tips of his two… loose ponytails? (The hair that frames his face anyway) hanging down from his shoulders. Later, in his emperor form, we can also see he has the defined musculature.
And since Wukong was reliving all of his regrets in the scroll, the biggest ones flashing on the screen in that scene, one after another, it would make sense for Azure to appear.
Both because Wukong betrayed the brotherhood and lost his friends, and also because- well, Azure was the main antagonist of the season. It would make sense for him to be of importance for Wukong in this scenario especially.
I can‘t believe you failed to identify one of your favorite characters by chest alone. Smh. Fake fan, I think I have to unfollow 😔
(/j)
So. I had typed out this whole answer pointing out how absolutely shredded the silhouette was compared to every character in the show, and then I had this really good point, like (quoting my og post):
"And it's not that you're wrong, it would make complete sense for Azure to appear as part of the memory flashes—but then why not show his face? Why not make it obvious that it's Azure? Why be this weird about it, and have it framed so that when it fades it reveals MK? You gotta think why the writers and storyboarders would make those kinda decisions."
But then. But then I realized anon.
There's a line. Like Azure's fur color line
BUT HERE'S THE OTHER THING ANON. AZURE'S PAST OUTFIT (Presumably what he would have been wearing when this memory took place) IS ALSO DIFFERENT:
So I legitimately don't know. At the end of my og post, I had written a pretty funny joke: "Anon don't challenge my ability to identify my lego characters by chest alone ever again", but you were right to. I have no clue who this silhouette's identity is. I can't identify them off of pecs alone. Is it Azure? Maybe! Is it MK? Maybe! (Like, the fact that we get the pecs flash, and then later MK is revealed to have a war form that he has had NO prior training in makes me question some things. Like most of his abilities MK's learned to use, he just does it, and it's all weird.) Like:
BUT I DON'T KNOW.
