Ajit Pawar on fielding wife against cousin in Baramati polls
Underlining that politics shouldn't be allowed to enter homes, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has said he made a mistake by pitting his wife against his cousin Supriya Sule in the Baramati Lok Sabha polls.
Tumblr media
In an interview with a Marathi news channel, Ajit Pawar, who is on a statewide 'Jan Samman Yatra', said the decision taken by the NCP parliamentary board was wrong.
"I love all my sisters. One shouldn't allow politics to enter homes. I made a mistake in fielding Sunetra against my sister. This shouldn't have happened. But the parliamentary board (of NCP) made a decision. Now I feel it was wrong," Ajit Pawar said.
In the Lok Sabha elections, Supriya Sule won for the fourth successive time from the Baramati seat by 1.5 lakh votes against Ajit Pawar's wife Sunetra. Sule is the daughter of NCP supremo Sharad Pawar. Sunetra Pawar was later elected to the Rajya Sabha.
Pawar, whose rebellion led to a split in the NCP, said Sharad Pawar was a senior leader and "head of their family" and he would not respond to any criticism made by his uncle.

Pawar advises Shinde to make a new party election symbol as the tiff between NCP and Shinde becomes intense
NCP chief Sharad Pawar offered his advice to Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on the ongoing legal battle between the latter and Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena about the party’s election symbol, Pawar on Wednesday suggested to Shinde that he must form his party and have an election symbol.
“The ongoing battle over the election symbol of the party is sad. A bow and arrow were a symbol decided by the late Balasaheb Thackeray. It belongs to Shiv Sena. If Eknath Shinde has a different opinion then he should form his party and select a new symbol,” Pawar told the press in Baramati.
Pawar added that this is what he did when he left the Congress party to form NCP.
Pawar strike BJP and said that it was BJP that plotted the split in the party and Shinde was the helping aide. “The BJP president had recently said that regional parties would not be there anymore. (Bihar CM) Nitish Kumar has said that BJP was trying to finish his party. BJP’s old ally Akali Dal is losing its presence. The BJP did the same to Shiv Sena using Eknath Shinde,” he added.
Talking about Kumar’s decision to sever ties with Bhartiya Janta Party he said that it was a wise decision. “Nitish Kumar has taken a very good decision for his party and state.” The NCP chief also advised Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take note of the happenings in India’s neighboring countries like Sri Lanka, where people have come out on the streets to protest for basic needs.
“When the leadership fails to fulfill basic needs, then a situation like Sri Lanka arises. These questions arise when power is centralized. There are questions whether such centralization of power is happening in India,” he added.

Supriya Sule cements status in NCP after Ajit Pawar’s rebellion - india news
Tumblr media
Mumbai Over the past three days as the Nationalist Congress Party faced the prospect of a revolt and a split, Member of Parliament Supriya Sule was a constant presence by the side of her father and the party patriarch Sharad Pawar.Sule presence at every meeting was a sharp contrast to her usual role — a NCP MP who largely operates in Delhi. If the past three days are any indication Sule is now an important leader at the state level. She was part of party’s strategy meetings. She reached out to leaders from other parties when needed. She made the rounds of hotels where NCP legislators were housed.“She played a key role in the entire operation to prevent poaching of the legislators. She was keeping track of the developments and apprising her father. Wherever needed, she was giving her inputs,” said a senior NCP leader, who is part of core committee of the party and who spoke on condition of anonymity.“It was her idea to divide the legislators into two groups as it becomes easier to manage them if the number is less. Following this, the NCP discreetly shifted as many as 12 legislators to Hotel Sofitel in Bandra Kurla Complex on Sunday night while the remaining 34 remained at Hotel Grand Hyatt in Santacruz,” said a NCP functionary familiar with the development who asked not to be named.“The last few days were difficult for all the MLAs, especially first timers. Supriya tai made efforts to keep the calm and assured us that everything would be fine,” said Aditi Tatkare, NCP MLA from Shrivardhan assembly constituency.Sule was introduced to active politics in 2006 when she was elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha in a byelection. In 2009, she took over Baramati Lok Sabha constituency that was previously representedby her father. She is now three-term MP and has also formed Rashtravardi Yuvati Congress, a wing of young women, to connect with young people and built a network across the state.Despite speculation that she could be projected as Sharad Pawar’s political heir, Sule has often insisted that her role is in Delhi and that it is her cousin Ajit Pawar who looks after party matters in Maharashtra. There’s speculation that Ajit Pawar’s betrayal has only strengthened her status as the NCP’s next leader. Source link Read the full article

Public Meet by Mr.Chandrakant Patil at Jaisingpur, District- Kolhapur
Tumblr media
Revenue Minister Hon. Mr. Chandrakant Dada Patil emphasised on the Modi and Fadanvis Government’s attempt to make people happy, satisfied and secure.
Kolhapur district is a home pitch for Honourable Revenue and Agriculture Minister Mr. Chandrakant Dada Patil. Being a Guardian Minister of Kolhapur District, he has been always conscious about the development of the Kolhapur district and the city. Recently, he addressed a public meeting in Jaysingpur, Kolhapur District. During this meeting, he elaborated the importance of democracy, voting and different work achievements of the BJP government.
Agriculture Minister Mr. Chandrakant Dada Patil recalled and appreciated the world's largest democracy that is Indian democracy and he thanked Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar for building such a strong system for our country. He further added that in India each adult is secured with his or her one vote and people choose the government depending on the work of the government. In a democratic system, all financial class people are kept at the same level and people have the freedom to appoint their government on the basis of work achievements and popularity of that government.
Revenue minister Mr. Chandrakant Dada Patil said that this election is going to be a one-way election because there is no reason to deny the next term or tenure to the Modi Government. He further added that if we conduct a survey of 250 families from the typical Indian village, we will conclude that at least 150 families are benefitted due to at least one plan, or schemes launched by the Modi Government. People are benefited with loan waiver, gas connection, electricity connection, the low-interest rate for a home loan, toilet facility at home, own home or flat at a low rate and income tax-free slab up to 5 lakhs. Apart from this, the majority of the people are benefitted due to the newly launched Ayushman Bharat Scheme. Many families in India have been covered with medical insurance and health benefits up to Rs 5,00,000 with this scheme. With this scheme, cashless cards will be applicable for the 5 members of the family for the surgical treatments, post-treatment care, medicines, prior tests, and diagnosis. At least 80% of the rural people are benefitted with this scheme.
All these things are self-explanatory to further predict that – ‘Modi Government will be back’.  To support this statement, Revenue Minister Mr. Chandrakant Dada Patil referred to the previous proposal given by Mr. Omar Abdullah, Kashmiri leader. Mr. Omar Abdullah suggested that the 2019 election will be a one-way election or just a formality. It is better to skip this election and to save time and money. The next election can be directly conducted in 2024. In an amusing way, he further added that this advice is seriously taken by only Mr. Sharad Pawar but all his family members also ignored this valuable advice. Unfortunately, his daughter and grandson will come across failure in the upcoming election.
In the next section of the speech, Revenue Minister, Mr. Chandrakant Dada Patil explained various initiatives taken by the Modi and Fadnavis Government. He claimed that our government has tried for the betterment of citizens by making them happy, satisfied and secure. Through 12 rupees annual premium, people are secured with two lakhs insurance for any kind of accidental death or injury and treatment.  Farmers are secured with crop insurance and they will get help from the insurance company in any unfortunate loss condition such as droughts, calamities or low yield. For this cover, farmers need to pay only 2.5 Rupees out of 10. The remaining amount is paid by the state and central government.
The Baramati public meeting addressed by Hon. Prime Minister and BJP President Amit Shah was the biggest public meeting ever and spontaneous response from the public in that meeting assures our victory in the election. People have accepted the fact that Only Modi and Fadanvis Government can make them happy, satisfied and secure.
Agriculture Minister of Maharashtra Mr. Chandrakant Dada Patil also criticised the opponent’s candidate Mr. Raju Shetty for his attitude towards the farmer.  He added that this person has used different symbols in previous elections, but he has never shown any interest to resolve the farmer's problems and in fact, tried to make them more complicated. Being a minister in the current cabinet, I have seen his strategies closely, he has created hurdles in the process for increasing FRP to help farmers. In the same way when Hon. CM decided for 5 Rupees concession for the milk price, he tried to disturb the matter by riots and strikes.
Agriculture Minister Mr. Chandrakant Dada Patil further added that I am privileged to announce that in our tenure no strikes, no riots, no scams were observed throughout the state. The Fadnavis government has always tried to resolve the problems with a discussion and, therefore, we could enjoy peaceful 5 years of governance. When Ahmednagar District’s Puntamba village farmers were supposed to start to strike for their demands, Honourable Chief Minister Mr. Fadnavis asked me to resolve their problems.  I immediately conducted a meeting with them and processed their loan waiver demand. Our government has offered maximum loan waiver and 52 lakhs farmers are benefited due to it. Our loan waiver amount is 34000 crore and Congress government loan waiver amount was just 4000 crores.
Experience Minister Mr. Chandrakant Dada Patil also appreciated the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance candidate Mr. Dhairyashil Mane during the public meeting. He said that this young talented person has a clear view of the issues of a farmer, youth and women. He has the ability to resolve the problems to assure the development of the society.
While concluding his speech, Revenue Minister Mr. Chandrakant Dada Patil said that the contribution of our government includes two milestones in the form of Maratha Caste reservation and Dhangar community reservation. He said that Maratha community reservation demand was a problem since 1968 and no previous government tried to work on it. While the majority of the academic institute belongs to Maratha community owners, but nobody among them offered free education to Maratha students. our government is successful in offering 16% reservation to the Maratha community in education and services and this decision will be beneficial to many generations of the Maratha community.
For Dhangar community reservation, the previous government used to send only request to the Central Government, but it was rejected every time due to the lack of supportive documents. Our government supported this request with the report given by TISS and now it is proved that in Maharashtra, Dhangad and Dhangar communities are same and all tribal community benefits are also offered to the Dhangar community till the court result comes to finalise on Dhangar community reservation decision.
Modi Government also offered the reservation on the basis of financial parameter and this is the first government to take such a historic decision. Families with an annual income of less than 8 lakhs will get the benefit of 10% reservation now onwards.
At the end of the speech, Revenue Minister Mr. Chandrakant Dada Patil urged people to vote for BJP- Shiv Sena alliance candidate Mr. Dhairyashil Mane.
In the 2019 election campaign, effective speeches delivered by Mr. Chandrakant Dada Patil will play a very important role because he is truly a common man and a man of deeds.

Mr Sunil Tatkare -An Inappropriate Plan to Divert Konkan Water
Tumblr media
Mr Sunil Tatkare has been appointed as the new Member of Parliament in the 17th Lok Sabha election for Raigad Lok Sabha constituency. He has worked as MLA and the Finance Minister and Water Resources Minister for the state. His skills and analytical abilities to understand the situation are excellent. He has always taken the stand for the betterment of the Konkan region and always supported the masses. If Konkan river water diversion decision is harmful to the Konkan region, Mr Sunil Tatkare was expected to react to this decision and he did it immediately. His warning to the State Government on this decision and the issues he has raised about this decision are research-based and worthwhile to think about. Before implementing the decision of Konkan river water diversion, the State Government should review Mr Sunil Tatkare’s thoughts on it.
Raigad district new Member of Parliament Honourable Mr Sunil Tatkare has criticised the State Government regarding their policies for the utilisation of available river water and different strategies associated with it. Mr Sunil Tatkare is the active leadership face of Konkan region and he supports the Konkan region with his strong leadership style. Recently, he criticised the State Government for their different policies regarding river water diversion of rivers flowing through Konkan.
Mr Sunil Tatkare targeted the current government during his interview with the journalists at Alibaug. In this press conference, Mr Sunil Tatkare informed that the State Government has appointed one committee for diversion of Koyna and Mulshi dam water to other areas. The committee has submitted one report to the government. According to this report, the government will try to divert Koyna and Mulshi dam water towards the east. If this happens, the Konkan region will get affected and due to this decision, there will be an enormous shortage of water in the Konkan region. Not only this, but it will also affect electricity projects in the region.
Mr Sunil Tatkare further informed that the government has planned to divert the river water from the Konkan area, but they will not allow doing this. Newly appointed Member of Parliament, Mr Sunil Tatkare has warned the State Government that the diversion of river water from Konkan region will not be tolerated.
Mr Sunil Tatkare proves that he is a strong and efficient leader from the Konkan region. The State Government's policies to politicise the issues of water distribution are observed recently with different decisions such as diverting Baramati belt water portion to Solapur area. On this decision also, Mr Sunil Tatkare reacted that these policies are implemented to politicise the issue of water distribution and it is beyond his understanding. In this situation, the state government has also planned to divert the water flowing through the Konkan region to other areas. This type of decision will harm the Konkan region to a great extent because already the Konkan region is deprived of water. Also, the Koyna electricity project is one of the most important power generation projects in the country. Mr Sunil Tatkare has pointed out that this type of water diversion decision can affect the power generation project in the future.

BJP-Shiv Sena script spectacular saffron success
Tumblr media
Mumbai: The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party-Shiv Sena combine marched to a spectacular victory in Maharashtra, leading in or bagging (as of 6 pm) 41 of the state’s 48 Lok Sabha constituencies here on Monday. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis termed the success by saying: “Its not just a ‘Modi-wave’, it’s a tsunami.” “There are no differences between us (BJP-Sena).. The people have given us a clear verdict. We shall go among the people and work for development and other issues,” Fadnavis said. Shiv Sena President Uddhav Thackeray, who warmly welcomed Fadnavis at his home in the evening, attributed the results to the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his policies. “Our alliance will continue further, even after the upcoming assembly elections in October…” Thackeray assured. To question on his estranged cousin Maharashtra Navnirman Sena President Raj Thackeray’s famous campaign (“Laav re te video” Play that video), Thackeray declined comment, but said mockingly: “Laav re te fataakde” – ‘burst the crackers’. As per latest trends, the BJP was on way to winning 22 seats and the Shiv Sena 20 seats, of the 25 and 23 seats respectively, they contested, which Fadnavis termed as well within their expectations and which “increased the responsibility thrust by the people on the saffron alliance”. The electoral bloodbath in Maharashtra claimed at least two union ministers – one from the BJP (DESK: Final announcement awaited) and one from Sena – falling to the Congress and NCP respectively candidates respectively. There are two former chief ministers – Ashok Chavan in Nanded and Sushilkumar Shinde in Solapur – both from Congress who were felled by the BJP surge. However, the Congress is still pinning hopes of winning one seat – Chandrapur, while its ally Nationalist Congress Party has bagged four seats so far – Baramati, Raigad, Shirur and Satara, one opposition-supported independent, south Indian film actress Navnit Kaur R. Rana – Amravati. In Aurangabad, the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen candidate Imtiyaz Jaleel Syed who was leading with significant margins since morning, suddenly trailed in the evening behind his Shiv Sena rival Chandrakant Ahire, and the ding-dong battle between them continued in each round. NCP President Sharad Pawar said he humbly accepted the peoples’ verdict, while a bewildered MNS chief Raj Thackeray termed the outcome “as beyond rationale”. For the state’s numero uno political clan, the shocking defeat of Parth Ajit Pawar in Maval was first ever tasted by any family member in any elections in the past over five decades. Another former chief minister and President of Maharashtra Swabhimani Party Narayan Rane’s son and former MP Nilesh Rane was trounced by the Sena candidate Vinayak Raut in Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg, with the Congress controversial nominee Navinchandra B. Bandivadekar faring a poor third. The country’s commercial capital saw the Congress-NCP dreams crumble once again after 2014 when they lost all the six seats in Mumbai, stunning the recently-appointed city party chief Milind M. Deora. Similary, the much-anticipated Dalit-Muslim unity experiment of the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) was totally rejected by the people, with VBA President Prakash Ambedkar – grandson of Architect of Indian Constitution B. R. Ambedkar – losing in both Akola and Solapur seats which he contested, though the AIMIM candidate in Aurangabad held out hopes of a victory. Bouyed by the outcome, a confident BJP Minister Chandrakant Patil even announced that the state assembly elections would be held in mid-October and that month, the BJP-Sena alliance would again rule Maharashtra.
