yknow I was obsessed with this movie as a kid and even as I’ve grown up I still feel really fondly towards it despite knowing it’s objectively terrible and I’ve always wondered why, until now I’ve realized that Aleu’s character arc of noticing she’s not like the others, feeling painfully outcasted and confused about who she is, struggling to accept herself, and going on a literal journey of discovering her identity and finding a community where she truly belongs feels so unintentionally queer-coded that it stabs me right in my sad gay heart

I named them (from left to right) Taku, Sedna, and Kallik in my AU. Of course Taku is already a popular fan name for the red and white wolf, the other two I named myself
