Revenge on @lapisdraws01 of her BX-series droid Dice! I realized I hadn't done any robots this year, shame on me! I'm a sucker for droids-turned-against-their-initial-function, I had to draw this guy.

nd-5 being made of tumblr-certified robot husband material is so fucking funny bc like. it's not a new droid. bx-series commando droids have been around for fifteen years. i've been spending my weekends cutting dozens these acrobatic pains in my ass into fourteen different pieces in jedi survivor. they've arguably been cool this whole time, but apparently all that needed to be done is give one a trench coat and a hip sway and everyone loses their shit.
I raised this question on Instagram, because truly it made me think.
Technically, we don’t know how he got his scar— a lot of us just speculate that it was an explosive incident and/or a deadly hit from a more powerful kind of droid (Droidekas, BX commandos, a tank for all we know)
I personally subscribe to an explosives incident whether intentional or non, idk if it’s canon by any means. It’s like Cody, no one knows where Cody got his scar. Or Howzer. It’s kinda irrelevant but like scar stories… like Wolffe’s happened due to Ventress. Thats a cool story.

Post-The Solitary Clone. It’s not until the next morning, getting ready to shave, that Crosshair realizes the brush with the BX commando droid had been closer than he’d thought. Lucky Cody was there, he thinks, gingerly examining the bruises around his throat, the burst blood vessels marring the whites of his eyes. I owe him. But then he remembers Cody’s unsettling words by the memorial.
He stares into the bloodshot eyes in the mirror. I was following orders, he reminds himself. The eyes stare back at him, hollow and unfamiliar.
He lathers up and shaves, but he does not look into the mirror again.
