#BRING ON EPISODE 6

Since episode 5 apparently people DO now understand why Ashoka is the way she is. Even though it was undeniably clear to anyone with a mind that it's INSANE (and problematic) grown ass people expect a 40 something woman to still be like she was as a teenager. All that has nothing today with 'bad writing' or 'bad acting' that was an expectation an awful lot of people had even before watching Ahsoka and IT IS problematic.

Now apparently there is issue with Hera being force sensitive even though there was no problem accepting the explanation that Han Solos amazing piloting skills probably meant he was unconsciously tapping into the force. Hera IS canonically an amazing pilot. Is it easy for her to consciously tapp into the force? Probably not. Would she want to make the enormous effort it would take for her to do that? Hell no! Hera is not interested in becoming a jedi or using the force.

These same people didn't have a problem accepting Baylans obvious stiffness, stoicness and calm. Actually they admired and applauded him for it but punished and judged the hell out of Ahsoka, I'm sensing a pattern here 🤔🤔.

That is also why it really bothers me when people say Ahsokas eyes weren't Sith they were a reflection. Following with an explanation that she was reflecting HIS emotions and that she had to move passed that or whatever. Or maybe not even an explanation but that is not my point, this wasn't about reflecting anything.

This lesson was NOT ABOUT ANAKIN. This was about Ahsoka and her emotions within her. Her OWN PULL to the dark side, her attachements (which includes her attachement to her padawan because she clearly cares about Sabine a lot), her traumas that is partly Anakin but isnt just about Anakin. Ahsokas was pulled to the dark side because that is within HER that was the whole point of the excercise and lesson. To accept who she is fully and that she is not responsible for Anakins fall to the dark.

Anakin knew that. This lesson was for Ahsoka and Ahsoka alone.

Part of the reason I think this wasn't in Ahsokas mind because that IS about Anakin and his development. He is there for Ahsoka, this isn't about him or his ego.

I just had a thought… Eddie doesn’t know that Buck was clawing his way through wet mud to get to him right??? So what if that’s one of the confessions learned while on the call like how they told Eddie he couldn’t get down the well this time around in the preview for episode 6 we saw at the end of the episode like again the show itself is drawing the parallel between this well call and the well call from the “Eddie Begins” episode like when he did last time go down a well to rescue a kid that was trapped and what if someone mentions that Buck was clawing his way through wet mud trying to get to Eddie once he was trapped underneath in the well and Eddie learns again just how insane Buck reacts whenever he gets injured on calls

Cosplay tutorial: Billy’s Crown

In case anyone else looked at Billy’s outfit and thought ‘yeah I can cosplay that in time for Halloween,’ I thought I’d share what I learned about how to make the crown using just paper, hot glue, and paint

Step 1: Draw the design (or print my template)

Should be to scale for the size of your head (mine is 8” wide)

I used construction paper, idk if it matters

You can print and use mine since drawing this was time consuming af

Step 2: Trace over the lines using hot glue

If your hand isn’t that steady, you may want to simplify the pattern a bit

Pro tip - take breaks! I gave myself nerve compression holding the hot glue trigger too long lol

Step 3: Remove the paper backing

I used a combination of sandpaper, a toothpick, water, and my fingernails

Just do your best, the goal is just for it to not show through the holes

Step 4: Paint with metallic blue paint

Step 5: Attach to your hair with bobby pins

Done!

I’m feeling very optimistic about a 911 Halloween episode I know I have seen others think it’s going to a be a skip week especially with ABC if they don’t want to air an episode on a holiday per say, but again with the way episodes 5 and 6 are being talked about in interviews recently and how each episode is important to Buck and Eddie’s character storylines I don’t think they would skip a week in between episode 5 to then wait a week and air episode 6 like yk what I mean if that makes sense like to me it makes sense to skip the following week after episode 6 if they are going to do a week break of airing the episodes if they leave episode 6 on a cliffhanger and ABC has aired episodes on Halloween before like with Grey’s Anatomy with prior seasons and yes rankings do go down on a holiday completely understand that, but 911 has been doing a lot better ranking wise since changing networks to ABC and even doing so well ranking wise compared to the shows that have been on the network for years so that’s just what I have been thinking. Again it would be very cool to get that Halloween episode on Halloween it would be very cool and the 911 holiday themed episodes always leave us with amaizng scenes that are very special so I’m excited

You can tell there was much more interference in this season in terms of those who control the IP because if this had been a true sequel to the first season rather than a quasi-sequel being held at gunpoint to push IP then Warwick wouldn’t have made an appearance.

Bringing Vander back is a cheap attempt to smooth over the fact that his death will rot between Vi and Jinx forever in Arcane and a cheaper ploy to introduce more IP.

If they were going to bring back Vander, they should’ve played a Cerberus and made it both Vander and Silco which would’ve driven natural conflict between sisters, the creature itself, and anyone’s decision on how to handle the creature. Or best of all; no one at all! Just leave it out! Let the haunting continue to be done by ghosts, as it should be.

The story of Arcane diverged from LoL’s existing canon to the point where Warwick existing had to be driven in tandem with empty plot device Isha to pull off something resembling movement.

Warwick existing does not satisfy exploring VI’s suffering the way they so desperately want it to. It certainly doesn’t address Jinx’s suffering. Episodes 4 through 6 could’ve been driven by character conflict and gotten the job done 1000% better. Right down to Vi and Cait having ACTUAL conflict driven by stunted conversations and flashbacks and attempts to reconcile that can’t penetrate their mutual hurt just yet.

Like something that Episode 7 does really well is impress upon the audience that loss doesn’t have to equal tragedy. And that the tragedy of the character’s current world is that the main players can’t let go of their loss enough to see or understand each other (even Ekko!!).

Warwick, especially as he was used, is like a bandaid over a grievous battle wound. He addresses nothing and is honestly insulting to the story.
