Hey all,

I don't like to post about drama here, but frankly, the targeted harassment in this fandom is seriously out of control, and it's really disheartening to see that shit still propagating in this predominately queer fandom space on tumblr, even amidst the current situation with the Tumblr CEO and Predstrogen's ban.

I'm going to be honest here: It doesn't matter where you stand in the whole overly-messy poorly-defined "proship vs antiship" discourse, spreading 'callouts' is not okay. Pushing for mass reports is not okay. Accusing transfems of being 'child groomers' (jesus christ!) is not okay! These are the same tactics that TERFs and religious conservatives and the goddamn chuds on kiwifarms use to endanger, isolate, and oppress trans people all the time.

I know a lot of my followers here are young and queer, and I urge you all, please, don't fall for these cheap attempts at dividing our community. I promise you, with all my heart and soul, that the trans people in this fandom who make content you may find problematic or distasteful or uncomfortable are not your enemies. You're allowed to dislike or even despise their content, and if that's the case, then block them and move on (I do this extremely often and recommend it greatly) -- but you don't need to drive them out with torches and pitchforks, for fucks sake.

If the bigots of the world had their way, we will ALL hang together, no matter what we post online, and I'm frankly tired of people saying they support transfems and then turning around and trying to run us out of town as soon as anyone accuses us of doing anything problematic. It is a scary time to be trans right now, and it sucks that even in queer spaces we have to be constantly looking over our shoulders. This isn't how we address issues, it isn't how we cultivate safe spaces, and it isn't how we improve fandom. If you have a problem with someone, either message them privately and work it out like adults, or block them and carry on.

I love this fandom so much, and I know we're better than petty drama, callout culture, and harassment. The vast majority of the people reading this, I imagine, don't participate in that stuff, but I've received enough anons and seen enough callout posts that I thought this was worth addressing. I go on Twitter to relax, after work (or sometimes during work, if I have a moment) to look at beautiful art that interests me, to read some interesting and sometimes new comments to the series because ,,someone noticed something new", and among all these beautiful things, there is this shit..., I love Twitter because it is largely a free place, but it is one thing to be free, to enjoy life and the topics that interest you, and it is another thing to pour out your inner failures, boredom in private life, lack of purpose, etc. in the form of hatred towards real people who are here to take a break from everyday life and its hardships, although I am writing this post mainly in relation to the HH fandom, I have also seen it in other fandoms, although not on such a scale (maybe somewhere it's even worse, I don't know), people writing under someone's art that this character or ship sucks, or writing under someone's comment where they only express their opinion on the subject, some character or ship he likes, that he is wrong (by the way, how can you be wrong in an opinion..., an opinion is not a fact, but our own internal view of certain things) and this character or ship sucks, sometimes there is also the writing of how hopeless the person who writes the comment or posts the art is (or much worse) because he or she likes something... sorry, but the fact is that most such bad comments are written by people who, as I wrote, at the top, are adults are unhappy with their lives, or (which unfortunately happens more and more often) children, immature people who have too much free time in their lives and have no idea what it means to feel tired after work, to be overwhelmed by responsibilities home and have too little time in life... because people who are normal (I won't call someone who pours out their life every day on the Internet in a negative way a normal person) either lead too happy a life to make others unhappy, or are too tired everyday life, to have the mental strength to write comments that do not contribute anything (of course, there are also people who have a happy life and at the same time are tired of life, after work and responsibilities ;) ), which is what I am aiming for in this post..., actually it is nothing, it's my internal monologue that I needed to pour out, because every time I check Twitter lately it's getting worse... and I just want to watch cool art and read interesting comments, after a tiring day at work, when after all, I'm lying in bed at 20:00 and I just want to calm down and mentally prepare for the next day, instead I see a lot of dirt here and there's more and more of it, I personally have a rule that when I see someone's unflattering comment, it's the person from I immediately block it because that's what it deserves (or report it if there's something more serious), but if I see a topic that doesn't interest me, I mute words and people like this: "publish something that I personally don't like", and the tag muteer doesn't work..., ok, so I'm muting your account and I'm happy and you're happy", I'm begging people who are normal, mute accounts that don't interest you and immediately block people who write unflattering comments, no matter if they are about something you like or dislike, such a person deserves a permanent ban from every side, from normal people who want to enjoy the series and what they like in it, do not respond to trolls, just block them.

And passing as well as the matter of opinions and facts, also distinguish them, an opinion is our internal liking or disliking something, our observations, and a fact is canon, something that is 100% confirmed and supported by evidence in the form of links, photos, etc., and not if someone writes "because it's canon!", the fact that you write that something is canon is not an argument, nor will it make your opinion (because yes, it's just an opinion until you provide evidence) become canon..., facts are facts and opinions are opinions, don't mix the two, facts are canon and opinions are just opinions, someone likes something and someone doesn't like something and that's ok, just like it's ok to write that in your opinion a certain a character is this or that because that's how you interpret him (the important thing is to check "IN YOUR OPINION" because it's still an opinion, not a fact), as long as it is not confirmed or denied by the creators 100%, it is still just an opinion, theories are also opinions, not facts, these are all opinions, facts are only the words of the creators or official photos or recordings, sooo..., that's it for my long post, I needed to get it out because I'm tired after work and frustrated and instead of enjoying the fandom, for once again I see the same crap, which I simply didn't have the strength for today and I had to say my piece, I'm sorry that this post was so long, thank you to everyone who persevered and read it to the end (and I realize that I wasted a precious half an hour of my life writing it), I wish you a nice day, evening, night or whenever you are reading this and remember: mute accounts that do not interest you and block accounts that write bad comments no matter where and on what topic, because either we ourselves will clean up this mess and make this fandom finally decent, or by not reacting we will make it fall apart in our hands, and then the joy of subsequent seasons of beloved series will no longer be the same, it is the fandom that always makes the series, without him they wouldn't be what they are and it's up to us whether this fandom will be worth our precious moments in life.

Friedrich Merz, Germany’s mercurial conservative opposition chief and a passionate hobby pilot, should be flying high these days as the country’s hotly tipped next leader.

One year before the next general election, his Christian Democratic Union (CDU) has enjoyed a comfortable lead for months with about 32% support, nearly double the score of its nearest competitors, as the fractious government led by Social Democrat Olaf Scholz plumbs new depths of disfavour.

But the chance at the chancellery Merz has been dreaming of since the 1990s has hit turbulence stemming from the country’s inescapable 20th-century history. Whether and how he can extricate his party from the dilemma posed by last weekend’s bombshell state elections will help determine Germany’s democratic health for years to come in the battle to win back voters from the pro-Russian extremes.

In this month’s polls in two former communist states, a far-right force became the strongest party for the first time since the Nazi period in one region, Thuringia, and in the other, Saxony, it finished a very close second behind Merz’s party.

The strong showing for the anti-immigration, anti-Islam Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) has left the mainstream conservatives navigating a minefield as all the democratic parties have committed to a ban on cooperation with the extreme right. A third election, in Brandenburg state surrounding Berlin, looms on 22 September, with similar results expected.

For the coalition arithmetic to add up to a majority, the CDU must now seek the strangest of bedfellows for a high-risk experiment in government. Cue the dramatic return of another of the most florid political characters of the post-reunification period, former Stalinist Sahra Wagenknecht, whose Kremlin apologist party came in a pivotal third place in both states.

Wagenknecht was known in those years for often antagonising – and perennially outshining – the members of her party, the successors to the East German communists who built the Berlin Wall. She finally broke with the far-left Die Linke last year and formed her own eponymous grouping in January.

The Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance (BSW, after its German initials) has shaken up the political landscape with stances tailored to pick up disaffected voters, particularly in the east, who are still angry about government restrictions during the Covid pandemic, dislike Germany’s arms shipments to Ukraine and are deeply anxious about immigration.

Wagenknecht, a bestselling author from the east who has never held government office, boasted to reporters on the day after the state elections that her young party had “become a power factor in Germany”. Polling at about 8% nationally, it now has every incentive to exact the highest price from Merz’s CDU during the state coalition talks, suggesting it will set an ultimatum on ending Berlin’s support for Kyiv and try to block plans to station medium-range US missiles on German soil.

After the state elections, Merz, a westerner and former BlackRock executive, warned that the BSW was “rightwing extremist on some issues and leftwing extremist on others” – a “black box” with uncertain and potentially explosive contents. He nevertheless gave each regional CDU chapter the green light to enter into coalition negotiations with the party, as there is no viable alternative. That decision, however, has now sparked a rebellion within the CDU just when the party hoped to be closing ranks around a flag bearer to lead it into the September 2025 national election.

“Wagenknecht contradicts everything the [centre-right] parties have stood for since the founding of the Federal Republic of Germany: clear allegiance to the west, a united Europe and Nato membership as history’s greatest project for peace,” Christian Democrat Frank Sarfeld, who says he represents about 100 party dissidents, told the daily Tagesspiegel.

“Cooperation with the Kremlin offshoot is unthinkable,” added CDU lawmaker Roderich Kiesewetter, accusing both the Wagenknecht alliance and AfD of trying to “destroy” the CDU as a big-tent party.

Merz, whose impulsive nature sparks flashes of temper that concern even his allies, could now be looking more vulnerable with the revolt in his own ranks. The Munich broadsheet Süddeutsche Zeitung dubbed his predicament “Russian Roulette” as potential rivals line up.

“What will remain of Friedrich Merz when Sahra Wagenknecht is finished with him?” asked Die Zeit. “The electoral successes could plunge [his party] into crisis and cost him the chancellor candidacy.”

One key area where Merz and Wagenknecht overlap, however, is a hard line on migration – an issue that also plays to the strengths of the far right. Since 2015, when Angela Merkel allowed more than one million people fleeing war and turmoil to enter Germany, immigration has become one of the country’s most divisive political issues.

It prompted the rightward lurch in the AfD – then primarily a eurosceptic grouping – and opened up a civil war in Merkel’s Christian Union bloc, which led most of the West German and united German governments in the post-war period.

Merz, a longtime rival of Merkel’s who angrily resented several moves she made to consolidate power at his expense, has spearheaded an unyielding stance since she left the stage in 2021, which now appears to be gaining the upper hand in the country. But many observers say that the AfD, from the sidelines, is calling the tune. That issue, combined with a sense of martyrdom among far-right supporters because their party has been blocked from formal power, could prove to be explosive, said Ursula Münch, director of the Academy for Political Education thinktank in Bavaria.

“AfD supporters call it undemocratic that the party’s successes don’t result in it joining governments – they consciously overlook that you can vote for an extremist party but can’t expect that it will find coalition partners,” she said.

“However, not including the AfD will improve its prospects for the next election. That’s the big dilemma for the other parties.”

Political scientist Oliver Lembcke of Ruhr University Bochum said the state elections’ results leading to the upcoming coalition talks between Merz and Wagenknecht’s forces showed that the AfD boycott had at least, in part, backfired.

“The strategy of the firewall was to marginalise the AfD in the east by excluding it while pointing up the democratic parties’ steadfast principles,” he said. “That has clearly failed.”

Both Münch and Lembcke predicted that doubts about aid to Ukraine would grow as the national election campaign grinds on, potentially allowing Wagenknecht’s party to make greater inroads in the west. “Her success will drive her to gain further media attention and, at the same time, send the message to voters that it’s worth it to vote for the BSW,” Lembcke said.

Warning: Avoid Mod the Sims Forums

So, this has got to be the weirdest, most embarrassing turn of events for me, but I had to get this off my chest.

I've been on Mod the Sims forever. It's been the most helpful place I've ever been to in terms of troubleshooting issues, particularly with Create a World. Because of this, I am hugely indebted to the site and the amazing tutorials and advice that still continues to be a treasure trove to this day.

But as of 2024, I can't recommend the forums anymore. It's weird, because in the wake of EA announcing that it was closing the official forums for Sims 3, I was recommending making a jump to Mod the Sims. The reason why is that it has great regulars who are the most knowledgeable of the sims community, and the forum software is great.

However, I wound up with egg on my face. No sooner was I encouraging people to jump to the MTS forums, they became the epicenter of tons of drama because of several troublemakers creating chaos there. I won't go into too much detail about Problem Poster #1, because apparently, it's not politically correct to complain about someone who might genuinely be mentally disabled.

Problem Poster #2 was a straight up psycho, getting triggered because she got a dislike on her posts, which always happens at MTS. (Even the two popular regulars/retired mods at MTS have gotten downvotes.) She then started baiting posters by accusing anyone who disagreed with her about Sims 3 or Paralives as "working for EA/Paralives."

One thing led to another and her posts became increasingly incoherent, practically screaming with rage and throwing out paranoid accusations that people were "watching her", that the forum was full of "jealous bitches" and "whores."

No amount of reassuring her that nothing was going on could calm her down and that everyone gets dislikes. If anything, the more people talked to her, the crazier she got. Naturally, with someone making a spectacle of themselves, this brought even more dislikes (because you know how it goes when someone makes a mountain out of a molehill).

By Day Three of her irrational, crazed rampage, she was cackling about how the dwindling of dislikes was "proof" that blocking people showed that there was a group of "jealous bitches" following her, when the reality is that people had stopped wasting time with dislikes and were just reporting her to get banned. Then she started attacking me, calling me a bitch repeatedly, accusing me of "starting it" and stalking her for three days.

Instead of banning her, the admins at MTS didn't. They merely removed the posts where she went full blown Cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs and let her more rational posts stand to just pretend that none of this happened.

Then they allowed her to pretty much remain, with the illusion that she's a pinnacle of the community. But if you see the posts that the admins left standing to make her look rational, you can nevertheless see the signs of when she started to mentally unravel.

This is not even the first time this type of thing has happened, not just to me, but to another poster. I remember there being drama last year when a poster got a temporary suspension for supposedly being racist against Asians, when she was Asian herself.

So, that was it for me. I've been an active member of MTS since 2012, both as someone seeking advice, but also someone wanting to give back to the forum out of gratitude for all the help it had given me. I even gave a shout out to the forum in my latest world and posted links to it from my website. I don't know if the people who own and run the site have changed hands or just stopped giving a fuck in the wake of the pandemic or dwindling visitors and ad revenue, but I won't be posting at MTS anymore and I don't recommend the forums to anyone. When you allow an unhinged person to go off and then "cover their tracks," I can only imagine what other horrible, nasty things that posters have said that were also hidden from view.

An Important Message for the Pinky and The Brain Fandom.

Hello everyone! I know I haven’t been the most active in recent weeks, but I just want to discuss something with all of you. I’ve noticed that there has been a lot more toxicity and frustration in the fandom as of late. There has been some controversy surrounding certain pieces of inappropriate art being shared where minors can view them. I don’t think that this is a very good idea and I believe this should be stopped immediately. I'm aware that some artists tag their posts correctly, so this is not to put hate on them. I follow a few artists that post this kind of stuff, but I know that they understand what to post and what limits they have. To put my point-of-view out there, I’m writing something where I address recent events and what should be done about them. This is my attempt to keep this fandom alive and to make sure that it remains a heathy place for everyone to explore.

Posting/Re-blogging NSFW Art: Every fandom has NSFW art/fanfiction. It's basically a given to any community. However, there should be some limits to who and what can be seen/what can be posted to everyone. Posting this kind of stuff is fun, as long as you have made is EXPLICITLY clear that this is not intended for a younger audience. Some people as of recently have been posting this art to the public on sites like our very own Tumblr and Twitter. Posting and/or re-blogging this stuff where minors can view it is disgusting and very disrespectful. There are a lot of younger people in the PaTB fandom who adore and love these characters and this show so much. Showing them these things can have emotional and mental consequences of massive proportions. I get it, some people make mistakes. Some others I follow might accidently support this kind of behavior because they don't realize that minors are seeing this. But if this becomes a regular occurrence, then it needs to stop. I've seen gross things in other fandoms I'm involved in (The Owl House, Animaniacs), so I'd hate to see this become one of those. And if you're mad at the fandom, don't be mad at the entire fandom, get mad with the people who promote this kind of intolerable behavior. If you're posting NSFW art, be careful to who can see it and if you want to post it at all. Re-bloggers, BE CAREFUL! Make sure you don't allow minors to view your re-blog or just don't re-blog it. Also, the art you make might not be interpreted as inappropriate by you, but it can be interpreted that way by others. Don't get mad with those people for posting the art or for those who get uncomfortable with what was posted. Don't assume that what they posted was out of malice, they might've not seen it that way. Those who get uncomfortable by this, I get it. People have their limits. Others need to respect that.

Tagging NSFW Art: When tagging NSFW art, make sure you imply everything that's featured in your art in the tags and make sure that minors cannot see this. On Tumblr, mark your post as mature so that people under the age of 18 can't see it. Put tags down to allow people to decide if they want to view the art. If you don't mark if your art is mature, then you'll be on the receiving end of tons of hate from fans. Being respectful of others and what they like/dislike is one of the keys to a strong fandom of people. Putting what occurs in your art (similar to tagging things in fanfiction on AO3) allows people to make a decision on viewing something. Don't post something without using appropriate tags, it will only cause problems. I've seen a wide variety of people posting NSFW art without using the right tags, that could get you blocked, reported, or even banned. So, I implore every artist on this site, mark your art posts as mature if they are mature and if they have sexual themes, violence, or contain alcohol/drug abuse. Failure to do so will often spell despair and doom for your reputation in the fandom.

Keeping the Fandom Safe (especially the minors): The previous two things mentioned are only a few ways to help keep the PaTB and other fandoms safe for the younger crowd. A few other things that you can do include communication and having respect. Make sure to mark your posts as mature and to also express to your audience that this post was not intended for minors. Re-blogging these posts will also put others at risk for viewing NSFW content. So, please tag all sexual or mature posts with the appropriate tags and make sure to communicate with those who follow you about the nature of your post. Respecting others is also important. Don't get mad at people who do post NSFW art but have all the correct tags. Those people have their limits too and they know that minors won't be allowed to see it. Calling others out for just being themselves is wrong, especially when they are doing all they can to make sure minors don't view what they make. However, posting/re-blogging this art without proper markings and tags is horrible and must be stopped. Minors can view this stuff and can become confused/concerned/mentally scarred. Condoning this kind of behavior is unacceptable and tragic. Also, don't target certain people who post this art but make sure that it's tagged correctly. These people are emotionally affected by these words and it can really hurt their appreciation. I personally know someone who's been going through some serious crap as of recently. I want to tell this person that they don't deserve this. They did nothing wrong and if others can't see that, than it's their fault. I'm hoping that they stay within the fandom because I want to see them shine. I hope that they understand that a ton of people in the fandom truly support them. Let's all work together to keep the Pinky and The Brain fandom a safe and welcoming place for everyone. I get that it's not as popular as it once was, but let's please not let it end up like other fandoms out there.

What to do if You See This Happening: If you see someone posting or re-blogging NSFW art without the correct marks/tags, please don't stay silent about it. Report it immediately to the site, maybe something can be done about it. You can also acknowledge what occurred (DO NOT USE NAMES OR CALL SPECIFIC PEOPLE OUT! It will make everything a million times worse!) and try your best to stop it. If the issue persists, do everything in your power to cease what happened. These harmful actions can cause people to leave fandoms, which is awful. These ideas might not work for every situation, but it can help.

Conclusion: I'm absolutely devastated about what I'm seeing. I encourage others to not mimic the behaviors of these people who are doing horrible things. I also encourage others to hold onto the fandom. It may be difficult, but avoiding these people could lead to a great experience. There are many talented and amazing individuals that aren't toxic and actually respect and admire the fans of the show. Trust me, the PaTB fandom isn't entirely made up of bad people. I've interacted with many others who are awesome. If you can't tolerate this behavior and want to leave, I'm not stopping you. But if you want to stay, please tag any NSFW post with the right tags, respect other people and their limits, and don't frustrate others in the community who are trying their best to leave a positive impact. I don't want this fandom to die a slow and painful death. I want to make it last. So, to any person who is posting these works without the right tags, please stop. Minors will view this and won't understand what is happening. It will lead to emotional and mental scars and that's not something that should happen. Don't harass others who tag their art appropriately. I hope that this will help to relieve some of the pain of recent events. I'm not trying to call anyone out or spread ill will, but I'm hoping that these individuals will understand how their harmful actions are affecting others. I'm not leaving the fandom just yet. I'll be trying my best to promote a friendly and fun community with my regular posts. I´ll leave everyone with these final words: if you are promoting these to minors, whether it be accidentally or intentionally, I'm encouraging you to please cease this behavior immediately. You are harming people in various ways and are leading to the harassment of innocent fans. I'm hoping we can resolve these issues so we can continue to support a great show that we all love. I'm glad some people are taking responsibility for their previous actions, and I can only hope that this is only a short-lived thing. Let's re-shape the PaTB fandom to be better and stronger than ever.

On Section 230 (Or: How to kill the internet in one court case)

This isn't going to be quite as long as the last lengthy post, but I thought I might talk for a moment about Title 47, Section 230 in US law. Now, I myself am not an accredited lawyer nor even American, so take this with a grain of salt, but I have some experience with its implementation and how necessary it is for a site to function.

I see a number of people arguing for its removal, largely, as far as I can tell, to screw over tech companies. Now, I can certainly understand disliking Meta, Twitter, Reddit, or other such companies but I want to just explain the legal framework behind how modern social media and other content hosting sites (such as Sufficient Velocity, Archive of Our Own or tumblr itself) operate.

As a content host, you are the publisher of any content on your platform. That's why Terms of Service inevitably include language such as "you agree to grant us a non-exclusive, permanent, irrevocable, royalty-free license to Your Content as described above".

Without that license, sites simply don't have the right to publish anything you post. How does this tie into Section 230? Well, by default under US law, you are liable for anything you publish. Section 230 carves out an exception for this, as described with the following language in section(c):

"(c)Protection for “Good Samaritan” blocking and screening of offensive material

(1)Treatment of publisher or speaker: No provider or user of an interactive computer service shall be treated as the publisher or speaker of any information provided by another information content provider.

(2)Civil liability: No provider or user of an interactive computer service shall be held liable on account of—

(A) any action voluntarily taken in good faith to restrict access to or availability of material that the provider or user considers to be obscene, lewd, lascivious, filthy, excessively violent, harassing, or otherwise objectionable, whether or not such material is constitutionally protected; or

(B) any action taken to enable or make available to information content providers or others the technical means to restrict access to material described in paragraph (1)." To de-legalese that, subsection(1) means that we, the content host, are not liable for user-generated content, while subsection(2) means that we are not liable for any good faith (though this is a very fuzzy term) attempt to moderate any given content. In short, subsection(1) means we don't all get arrested if someone posts CSAM, while subsection(2) means that people can't, for example, take us to court for violating their First Amendment rights for deleting a 'phobic screed or banning them as a result.

In other words, without these carve outs, we get shut down the second someone official notices illegal content on the platform — even if we ourselves are unaware.

I mention CSAM because it is by far the most common rhetorical bludgeon used to attack Section 230 — the argument is that it means content hosts are allowed to let it proliferate on their platform. And the answer to that is... well, not really. There's already a law for that.

As described in Title 18, Section 2258A, content hosts have a duty to report CSAM — I won't quote the whole thing as more-or-less the entire text is relevant, rather than a specific section, but this is the text describing the duty to report:

"In order to reduce the proliferation of online child sexual exploitation and to prevent the online sexual exploitation of children, a provider—

(i)shall, as soon as reasonably possible after obtaining actual knowledge of any facts or circumstances described in paragraph (2)(A), take the actions described in subparagraph (B); and

(ii)may, after obtaining actual knowledge of any facts or circumstances described in paragraph (2)(B), take the actions described in subparagraph (B)."

I'm not going to break down precisely what those paragraphs are referring to because that would make this post way, way longer, but to summarise: as soon as we find out about it, we have to take specific steps including reporting it to the relevant agencies. We are also granted certain exemptions from the usual restrictions on user data to report identifying information we may have on the offender(s).

To whit, we are already legally compelled to do essentially everything in our power about CSAM (as defined by US law) that we learn about. Blowing up Section 230 isn't going to improve this situation, it's just going to obliterate social media and the internet as we know it. The answer is (must be) technological, rather than legal.

As is something of a theme in my posting, content moderation remains the great unsolved problem of the digital landscape, and any seemingly-easy solution, isn't.

Because of that person starting argument on my blog, losing argument & cannot accept logical criticism... because of my own personal opinion in my own blog hidden under “Read More”.  Wow... how classy. 

As classy as junior high school kid.. reporting to school principal because of trouble that person cause from the start.

That person started the argument first after all.... although I wrote warning: 

Do not send ignorant comment. Will be deleted and your account will be blocked.

 Yet that person misunderstood my word which is supposedly EXAMPLE. 

“[that person name] is b****ing on my blog. F***ed off. What do you feel if somebody calling you insulting word, you must be insulted, right?”

As actual insult. 

No, I didn’t intend to insult that person, at all. That is example!

After I left Tumblr for one month due to real life then logged in again, what a surprise. My comments on comment section are removed, messages are gone, cannot reply comment at all. Obvious enough somebody reported my comments as “Spam” or “Offensive” due to “Controversial Post” argument on personal post that Sims community mistaken me a girl. 

Ahahaha no. That person started it first. You started the argument, you should have responsibility of your own comment, but proceed to reporting my comment because you lose argument and cannot accept the criticism, probably you used fake accounts and asked other people to mass-report my account. That is very cowardice, you know?  

Then you started saying that “Men playing the Sims is rare, probably”, No offense, that is kind of insulting, ignorant, and sexist.  You must be never play real hardcore games on Steam, never visit ModTheSims discussion forum, never visit any Sims forum other than Tumblr? You will see how many masculine username playing The Sims. See your own mod folder, how many masculine male name being the modder? Nraas, Ahmad/Bella3lek4/Dramatic-Gamer, Simrods, SimsMatthew, BlooM, Buhudain, TummyZa, M.M.A.A., gamefreak130, Quackgames, Consort, Buzzler, Darkcloudwalker, nikel23, mikey, CyberBob78, Deaderpool (MC Command Center), TURBODRIVER, Lazy Duchess (confessed he is a man and open to any pronouns) 

You see how many modding tool plug in programs are created by men? TSRW (The Sims Workshop for The Sims Resource) creators are men. Milkshape Plug in is Weshowe, obviously a man.  I know many famous dudes on ModTheSIms forum, like AGuyCalledPi, Wojtek, and there are many more but I cannot mention due to privacy and too many.

Imagine the reverse if a man saying, “Women playing GTA, basketball, football, being developer, architect, engineer [insert male-dominated activities & profession] is rare”. I bet I got called as sexist & misogynist man hating woman. Or probably if I send comments such as “Hug” “Sexy Babe”“Pretty Girl” “Kiss” “❤❤❤❤” to female blog accounts I will get my account banned for being pervert. What a double standard. 

Do I hate women? No. I dislike ignorant and rude people in general, no matter what gender. That case is a specific girl/woman, insulted me “Bitching” and “Fucked off” I had reported to Tumblr staff several months ago, because I was kindly reminder her to mention my username because she reposting my Mod without mentioning my username. 

There are ignorant and rude comments I got from (unemployed low class) dude and teenage boyzzzzz as well on Tumblr. In 2018, there’s a dude mistaken “I will find you and I will kill you” meme under my Term of Use as death treat.

 Aahahaha, is that dude never watch Hollywood movies? Don’t know movie Taken? Don’t know meme, never played video games? Why are you minding other people’s writing very much, focusing on negativity instead of giving me support that my CC got monetized (I was the victim)? You must be sad jobless unemployed dude, don’t you think?  

I explained on Private Message that my writing “I will find you and kill you” is a humor. But that dude misunderstood, then proceed to accuse me making death threat, lecturing me I am the bully, and didn’t listen to my explanation that “CC thief will monetize no matter what T.O.U. says” at all. He was accusing my explanation as attacking him. 

???  

There’s no way educated Asian person like me making death threat to people, what kind of baseless accusation is that? Death threat is only said by low class uneducated people. There are people making ignorant and stupid comments, I just blocked them. 

This is as proof there are men on Sims community on Tumblr.  Now that I criticized man as well, I show my proof here that I do not hate targeting specific gender. 

Furthermore, I’m CC creator who had created a lot of CC. How many? 100+ including mods. But it’s kind of ironic that people only focusing on “Controversial” and “Mistaken as negative” as 1% part. The rest of 99% are positive. I usually give compliment, click love, reblog other people’s CC and content. And have given donation to somebody’s mother whose in hospital. 

sims3hasstoppedworking has left the community, so it’s safe to reveal the Private Message. I donated because I was being generous, not because Frankie’s CC or getting attention that I was donated. 

Is that how to repay kindness of CC creator, who had created free of charge CC & Mods, to accuse with harassment and report to get our account being banned? 

Enough with this kind of childishness, alright? Seems like I need to left Tumblr to get some fresh air and I probably back with new CC and mods. If only I will be back.

General Rules 

Anyone and everyone is allowed to participate in this ship-friendly, censorship-free event!

Please be kind with one another. We will not tolerate any sort of hate or harassment towards the mods, the participants, or the works created for this week. No matter what metric, be it ships, tropes or something else, if someone made something you dislike, you're more than free to click away and move on with your life. Anyone found in violation of this rule will be auto-blocked and banned from the event.

About Works

The works don’t have to be stand-alone, you can put all the prompts into one fic, or use the prompts to make new works in a long running series, those sound great! 

While this week focuses on Dick Grayson and his maternal nature and instincts, we encourage the inclusion of ships or other characters. Our simple ask is that the content submitted is:

A) Brand new

B) Mainly about Dick acting as a mother / parental figure

C) Tagged appropriately 

D) Follow the prompts.

There is no maximum or minimum word count, or any other restrictions on your piece. This means that you may have SFW, NSFW or even Dark themes. So long as everything is tagged properly (see below), it will be allowed. You may submit a NEW multi-chaptered work (including a WIP), but the entire work must be new. A new chapter for an existing work does not count.

The work does not have to be a written fic, if you want to approach these prompts from any other creative angle, go for it! The event has been designed with fanfics and fanart in mind, but go wild with your creativity!

About Tagging

If your non-fanfic creation is NSFW, you must tag it as such and follow Tumblr posting guidelines. Also, please tag all ships in the # with the common ship name so that those wishing to filter out certain tags may do so. 

 Fanfics must be rated and tagged per AO3 policies, whether or not you post them on AO3. 

 On Tumblr, please rate your work above the cut line (G, Teen, Mature, Explicit/NSFW). Post the content of mature and explicit fics below the cut line.

 All ships must be tagged above the cutline and in the # with the common ship name. 

You must also EITHER tag for triggers OR clearly indicate that “author chooses not to use content warnings” at the beginning of your fic.

When is Mama Dick Week happening?

When will the Official Prompts be posted?

We hope to have them out by 12th of July. We will take prompt suggestions from around 28th of June and then the community will vote to determine the final prompt list.

How many prompts will be posted for each day?

Three

Do I have to include all the prompts in my work?

Not at all! Feel free to combine them or to only pick one. We simply ask that you note on your work which Day/Prompt you’re creating for.

Is there a certain structure I have to follow with the prompts?

The prompts are up for interpretation! Create whatever sparks your inspiration, so long as your work is mainly about Dick and his motherly nature / instincts. 

Am I allowed to create anything?

You can create fanfic, fanart, comics, mood boards, playlists, aesthetics, headcanons, meta, dolls - almost anything you can think of.

The EXCEPTION: You may NOT take photography of human subjects (including in cosplay) as we have no way of verifying the age and consent of human subjects. Want to take photographs of your Legos or action figures? No prob!

Do I have to make something for every single day?

Not at all! You’re free to crank out all seven days, or only pick and choose which days you create for. So long as you have fun, it’s all good! No need for stress.

What type of contents are allowed and what isn’t?

There is no restriction for this event! Anything goes for this particular week. You can use any canon, part of canon, or AU centric plots for your work. There is no limit to what rating or relationships for your work, and you may write Dick as any gender(s) and/or orientation. It’s up to you as long as your work is tagged properly and you’re at least 18+ if you’re posting a NSFW work.

“Where there’s smoke, there’s fire.” Absolutely. But is the fire wild and destructive; or safely contained and being used for something?

“Being into dark and disturbing media is a red flag.” I can’t disagree with that. Most people who are okay with committing crimes in real life are okay with viewing disturbing things for entertainment; however, many good (or neutral) people are okay with things in fiction that they wouldn’t be okay with in real life. If you don’t know someone at all — who they are, or what they do — you cannot judge their motivations for liking or disliking something. But absolutely exercise caution online when dealing with any group of people.

Some online communities may be so rife with actual illegal activity that it is best to stay away from them, despite much of the content within them being legal and — for the most part — morally neutral. As a result, the illegal activity may fly under the radar and be allowed to remain on the internet. In these cases, it is your responsibility to report the community to higher authorities, as people and/or animals will be adversely effected if you do nothing.

If you are comfortable pursuing the issue, do not block the content before you’re done reporting it, as you may need to try several times before someone does anything about it. You don’t want to cut off your access to evidence that can be used against a harmful group.

Do not leave comments or engage with the individuals within the harmful community in any way, shape, or form. You may want to tell them “go to hell you fucking degenerates,” and I understand how you might feel that’s the right thing to do… However! This is the kind of behavior that will get you blocked and banned; thereby cutting you off from any plans of reporting illegal activity after they’ve seen your comment. If you have no access to the content; you cannot report it. The best thing to do is go in silently.

Do not report — or even look at — any artwork or fiction; hurting and embarrassing yourself is all that will accomplish. If there is nothing “blatantly illegal” (such as photos or videos of illegal activity), look for other evidence of the members engaging in actual illegal activity (such as requesting photos or video of illegal activity, or confessing to crimes they’ve committed for others’ gratification), and report these instead, since that is precisely the conduct you are trying to prevent.
