Childe is a family man.

Of course he loves his current family—so much that he spoils them everytime he comes home to Snezhnaya.

But recently he’s come to a point where he’s thought of making a family of his own. Sadly, he’s been too busy with his work as a harbinger to even find someone he wants to get to know better.

That all changed though when he saw you comforting Teucer at the lake nearby his family cabin.

When he came to the lake, he wasn’t expecting hearing the sad sobs of his younger brother Teucer. Instinctively, he began to run through the snowy terrain and towards where the cries were coming from.

There he saw you, panicking and reassuring Teucer (albeit timidly). Teucer had clung to you, hugging you tightly as he cried his eyes out on your shoulder, and there you were—knelt to the young ginger’s height as you embraced him, softly patting his back to soothe whatever was ailing him.

Something ticked inside Childe’s head, and before he knew it he was walking towards you with a glint of interest in his eyes.

Childe called out to Teucer, and Teucer let go of you to rush over to his older brother. It put a smile on Childe’s face knowing he was still his younger brother’s favorite. You stood up, and both of you introduced each other.

You say that you were new, having just moved into the neighborhood from Liyue. Currently, you began to work as a tutor for the neighborhood kids, adding that you’ve always liked kids and wanted to help and see them grow up. It gave you such a fulfilling experience.

Oh, you had no idea how that statement made Childe’s blood rush to his head… and pants.

He smiled, saying that he also liked kids, his younger brother Teucer in particular. He asks how you managed to meet Teucer since he usually just stays inside playing with the Mr. Cyclops toys that Childe gave him everytime he returned. You reply that you visited his family cabin because his mother invited you over after helping her with some groceries before.

Teucer randomly began to mention how his brother was single—much to his own brother’s surprise. Who taught him that? Childe thought as he awkwardly laughs it off in front of you, though he secretly hoped you’d take interest in such a topic.

Before any of you could even say another thing, Teucer began to go off again, talking to his brother how pretty you were, and how he liked and wanted you to be another one of his big sisters. You were flattered of course and chuckled at the cute ramblings of the kid.

You asked Childe if this was a normal thing, and Childe responded that he doesn’t usually do this. You began to talk to each other, and Teucer seemed to notice how the two of you got a long so well so quickly.

So he asked you the million dollar question.

“Hey, will you marry my big brother Ajax?” He asks abruptly, stunning you and Childe momentarily.

A blush forms on your cheeks as you began to laugh bashfully, scratching your cheeks with a finger, unsure of how to respond to the child without sounding too bad.

“Uhm… Teucer, we just met.” You say to the young boy.

“But you’ll marry him, right?” He seemed so excited at the thought, and Childe was as well, though he decided to laugh it off.

“Teucer, don’t get too excited now. No one’s rushing for me to get married.” Childe tells his younger brother kindly, though Teucer only pouts.

Oh, but the plans that Childe began to have in his head after Teucer mentioned marriage. He definitely saw a possibility that he could spend a future with you.

Maybe give him some time, get to know him. You’ll definitely find yourself spoiled rotten in the future by this handsome Snezhnayan bachelor.

Prompt: Just before the events of the Liyue Archon quest, a toddler who is very obviously a de-aged Morax attaches himself to a very oblivious Tartaglia. Hilarity ensues when Childe (himbo that he is) doesn't recognize the toddler and fruitlessly attempts to reunite the tot with his (dead) parents so he can go seek out Morax.

He liked kids—adored them even—but this was quite inconvenient for him. After all, the tot kept scaring away his targets! How was he supposed to find Morax like this?

He comes from The First Descendant. Free-to-play Sci-fi PVE shooter Korean game with gameplay mechanics very similar to Warframe, Destiny 2 and a bit of Halo (also story-wise. Something something ancient artifacts from humanity's ancestors, something something humanity is losing a war against aliens that want said artifacts something something. Also there are ancient biomechanical kaijus. From the Void dimension. In space.).

Ajax is one of the playable descendants, a military branch of super soldier that use weird space magic tech. He is a 60 years old tank-class fire team leader, he wears a pretty old armor made for the purpose of traveling through the Void dimension that was made before he was even born.

He gained his "powers" when his armor power system failed in the Void (it got overcharged with the weird energy-magic from there and he eventually learned to use it to create energy shields), while he was trying to rescue his former partner Aisha and her team, almost killing him (he got rescued out of luck, but he was lost there for over a decade. He never found Aisha).

TFD is very much a pornbait game full of half naked stereotypical hot white women. I'm here for the men, but keep that in mind lol

Apologies for the shitty flash photos, but I'm actually making progress on my brutalis dreadnought. Still needs a matte varnish spray before working on targeted glosses and weathering/paint chipping, plus the whole base is barely at base layers, but the bulk of it has come together well enough. Especially for how crummy my initial prime was. There are still some areas with too much detail clogged by spraying from too close, but hopefully I can hide the worst of that with paint.

i'm haunted by the detail that big ajax uses hector's sword to kill himself. after their duel in book 7 hector and ajax trade the sword and a belt, respectively, in friendship but the cycle of violence goes inevitably on, revenge is enacted from beyond the grave, and hector gets one last kill even after he and achilles are both dead.

it fucks me up even more in the versions where hector is tied to achilles' chariot using ajax' belt. not to mention the possibility of myth variations where the chariot-dragging IS the method of execution, and not something done to hector post-mortem, which would make ajax directly complicit in hector's death.

it's a spiral of dominoes: hector kills achilles' closest companion which makes achilles kill hector which makes hector's brother kill achilles which makes achilles' friend kill himself with hector's weapon. doesn't thinking about it make you crazy!

Childe & Ajax/Tartaglia are actually separate people, specifically identical twins. Childe is primarily a toy maker and unofficially a sort of 12th harbinger, who occasionally acts as his brother’s body double/alibi on missions. No one in Liyue knows Tartaglia is a twin, so they don’t question him.

While Childe is wining and dining Zhongli and rescuing the traveler, Ajax is figuring out a way to raise Osial, and laying low. Ajax is the harbinger the traveler fights in game, not Childe.

Childe pulls up to the gnosis handoff perfectly uninjured, and the traveler is like “hey wtf? Didn’t I just beat the shit out of you?” and Childe is like “I’ve never fought you before tho?? Btw, Signora, have you seen Tartaglia? I need to head back to Snezhnaya, and I’d like to say bye.”

Also, Zhongli didn’t know either, and is very confused on who he’s engaged to. (Neither boys know they’re engaged ofc.)

So a thought occurred, you know the way Childe in his Foul Legacy form has one eye (or at least looks like he does)?

What if the reason he choose to tell Teucer ruin guards were the heroes was in hope that if Teucer ever saw him in his Foul Legacy, he wouldn't be terrified and would instead think of the one eyed giants who are his favourite toys??
