Which makes sense if they're the Pure Vessel. Just throw something comfortable and practical but still okay-looking by noble standards on them when not on duty and sew a shitton of these bad boys for them, it's not like they have an opinion or preference or even need to be fashionable. Basic stuff will do.

The side effect of this is the fact post-reveal they still wear the same goddamn thing 7 days a week

And also they're autistic/neurodivegent in general. Having a duplicate or two (or 20) of their favourite comfy outfit is handy, and finding new clothes that don't have Bad Texture or annoying tags is a chore and a half.

I'm running on 3 hrs of sleep bc i stayed up till 5am to make this and then i had a neurologist appt at 8 so!!! (i got officially diagnosed with adhd or add we win, i already forgot which one he said but i get my meds tmrw!!) I might take a nap after this im so exhausted. ANYWAYS.!!! i love. flowey and clover friendship no one start yelling at me abt how flowey didnt care!!! theyre best friends to me!!!! and it works out as im a clover kinnie nd floweys been my comfort character for years now. we win. I don't think monsters really had binders at first (dont use bandages btw guys, dont be like Starlo was!!11) I think the first time one fell into the trash dump or wtvr someone picked it up and then once figuring out its uses just!! boom!! business!! figuring out how to safely make more and!!! finding ways to accommodate certain monsters with different body types!! esp with the spikes and such. Ceroba def helped Starlo out with his bandages often before they were able to get him a binder. the one where clovers drawing is !! an idea of revived!clover or clover staying in the underground in hiding. Martlet got him that shirt :)) and obv the bell earring is from Ceroba. sorry to all my cotl followers i STILL have no colored the 5 body refs of both narinder and lambert. I picked the colors here on a whim so uhmmm it's not official!!! not yet anyways!! i do like what i used for Narinders fur tho, so that might stay idk yet i hte coloring BNJKNKSD i colored this whole thing on a wild impulse.. thus staying up all night. I think clover would really enjoy waterfall if they were ever able to visit it after or during the whole soul thing. geralt looked up from his book when he heard the door click shut and his husband peel off a soaked jacket. shoes were kicked; a bag was dropped; still, jaskier said nothing.

usually, geralt starts hearing his husband’s car radio from the moment it enters their neighbourhood. the quiet is alarming, to say the least, so geralt turns his book over and lays it on the couch, putting his reading glasses on his head.

“jaskier?” he calls trotting into the laundry room, where jaskier is shucking off his sodden work uniform.

“hello, love,” he replies huskily. “it’s raining.”

“it is,” geralt agrees. he turns the dryer back on, peering at the load of towels bouncing around. “why don’t you take a nice shower? warm you up,”

“‘kay,” jaskier acquiesced, slinking into the bathroom. geralt frowned after him.

typically, getting jaskier to shower right after work takes some cajoling, several bribes on both sides, all that.

today, the water turns on without any music to cover the sound, and geralt hears jaskier snuffle to himself before a small, broken sound escapes.

he won’t walk in on his husband crying. he won’t embarrass him when he waited until the shower was on and put on a face for geralt in the laundry room.

that’s what geralt chanted to himself, anyway, while he heaped blankets up on the bed and jogged back into the kitchen.

he took a small container out of the cabinet and double checked the instructions. only a bit of water and a minute in the microwave, and jaskier would have a sweet treat waiting for him in the nest geralt was building.

he gathered some water bottles, a sandwich, and jaskier’s favourite of geralt’s tee shirts that geralt thankfully had to save from the hamper. jaskier didn’t have geralt’s nose, but he could still scent his husband and it tended to calm him down plenty.

til his dying breath, geralt would deny that he rolled around on the nest blankets to make it warm and smell like him, but it was the quickest way and without music or the promise of geralt joining him, jaskier could be done in moments.

when geralt was satisfied that the clean blankets smelled a little more like home, he went to get a warm towel out of the dryer and swaddle his husband up for a trip to the nest.

he found jaskier sitting on the floor, arms wrapped around his knees.

he couldnt say anything that didnt feel too trite, too simple, too shallow, for what that image made his heart do in his chest. he simply got undressed and sat down next to him.

“bad day,” jaskier breathed. geralt, with soft hands and a softer heart, took the spray from the wall and began to wash jaskier’s hair.

jaskier began to cry again, but this time quietly. jaskier hated it when he cried, hated how much he cried, so geralt merely began humming for him while he threaded his fingers through auburn locks to remove the soap.

“i’m an artist, aren’t i?” jaskier finally asked.

“of course,” geralt said, cupping jaskier’s cheek to get him to look him in the eye. “of course you are. one of the best i’ve ever known.”

“i… geralt, i’m working at a fast food joint. i’m getting sandwiches thrown at me by customers, i’m getting barked at by my boss. i haven’t composed in almost a week.”

“you don’t have to always be writing to be an artist,” geralt said, sitting back on his haunches. “am i a witcher?”

“of course,”

“right now? when i’m sitting in the shower with you?”

“… quit it,” jaskier replied, cottoning on to geralt’s meaning and pushing his little head into geralt’s chest.

“i’m a witcher when i wake, and when i go to sleep, and every second in between.”

“that’s different,” jaskier mumbled as best he could with the hot water pouring down the back of his neck. geralt only held him, rocking him back and forth ever so slightly.

jaskier could’ve blinked and missed it. he almost wished he had; on one hand, he was on his feet before geralt even hit the ground.

on the other, the image of the kikimore’s leg bursting through his boyfriend wouldn’t stop replaying every time he closed his eyes.

his badass boyfriend that lopped its head off right after, mind, but still.

“don’t move!” jaskier chided again, handing geralt his water. “i’m right here, love. i’m ready and willing.”

“i just wanted a drink,” geralt pouted. well, okay. less of a physical, facial, or vocal pout and more of a slight tightness around the eyes, but this was jaskier. he knew geralt better than geralt knew geralt.

“and i just want you to get back to feeling better.” he countered.

“you can’t sit here and hand me my water all night, jaskier. you have an audience downstairs and you’ll get bored.”

“none of those people matter to me. you are what’s important to me right now.” jaskier replied, folding himself into his witcher’s side gently. “besides, i can think of a few ways to entertain ourselves.”

“i thought you didnt want me to move.”

“for this, you won’t have to.” jaskier said, waggling his eyebrows. “tell me a story?”

geralt burst into surprised laughter before he winced, clutching his chest.

“okay, okay. what do you want to hear?”

jaskier wrapped his arms around geralt, snuggling in close. he could hear the thud of geralt’s heart and feel him breathing, and honestly? that was enough for a simple bard like himself.

“anything, love.” geralt held him with his good arm, resting his cheek on top of jaskier’s head. “anything you’d like.”

Appearance

olive has long brown curly hair down to their lower-back, which will get cut off later on in the movie. their hair later goes above their shoulder once cut. they have fair skin and have freckles almost all over their body, especially on their face. they have light blue eyes as well. 

they’re about 5′3″ and wear gold circular glasses. they have a heart locket always on them (mostly under their shirt) containing a picture of their family + dogs and their lucky charm cactus, as well as several misc. rings and bracelets. they’re usually seen wearing a light brown sweater, shorts and combat boots. 

Personality

olive is very introverted and kept to themself, preferring to stray away from groups of people to be free in the wilderness. they really love nature and animals, and are often labeled as an “animal-whisperer”. they’re extremely protective, yet a scaredy-cat who hides behind gabe most of the time. 

olive’s actually very affectionate as well and tends to mindlessly put their hands on one of their friends’ arms/shoulders (more often than not gabriel tho). they tends to get distracted easily as well, and stares into space and most likely ends up staring at someone (*cough* have i mentioned GABRIEL).

Biography

they’ve known gabriel before his father left, and have been childhood friends with him since then. they lost contact during the time that gabe had spent in juvy, but reunited when at the summer camp & in the forest picking flowers to make flowercrowns. they stick along with the other four to assist them, as well as to find their own parents.

after the movie, they’re able to find their family alive and well in a shelter about 30 miles from JPL. also after that, them and gabriel finally “officially” got together. 

Trivia

they carry their dad’s pocket knife with them everywhere in their pocket, along with a little cactus lucky charm on a chain somewhere on their body.

they never leave home without either of these things, because both has saved their life at least once. especially the lucky charm. 

they’re Really protective of the other kids, especially alex + zhenzhen + dariush due to them being (presumably) younger than olive. 

they brought their esa along and his name is bear!!!! he’s a border collie/australian shepherd mix!!!! and no, he doesn’t die bc fuck that.

when nervous, they fiddle with their necklace, earbuds, rings, or gabe’s hands.

their canines are sharper than the usual person’s, but they’re only noticeable if you come close enough to olive’s face.

and uh bonus last ref frommm maybe dec 2016? under the cut !

soo things have changed haha fhr starters her cl closer to silver’s sticks upward over her headband instead of lying flat against her fringe. i always bounce back on if the edges of the sweater are light or dark buut ig theyre dark for now. i drew good shoes for once but they’re still basic combat boots. 

the main sweater color became a little lighter? what happened was i brought home my n4, n6, and n8 colors, and i used my n8 which i usually use for the edges of the sweater for the shorts, so i had to move down the colors to keep them from blending in. uh i don’t dislike it though. 

i think it was all the time that the sweater cuffs matches the edges in color, but i couldn’t remember if the button straps did as well? ig they do now ! ive been going back and forth on the buttons on the cuffs for such a long time now, but they do have buttons in the end. maybe next time they wont?? for now, they do. also the pockets arent rly a different color from the sweater, i jus lines them like that bc i was lost in thought.. its supposed to be a depth thing, but you can interpret as you like. 

aaand i added some stitching to the shirt, bc when i pictured the cut i always had in mind the shirts that guys used to wear several years ago? the low cut on the tall guys, so not like a v cut on girls but like.. still low. she has no chest so it never mattered, but alot of ppl like to interpret the length as higher so hopefully this helps to acknowledge it goes down far.

the key is silver! the strap is black! i always forget, but i remembered this time to include it!

and lastly, the headband has grown darker over the years. i didnt bring a color to shade the crimson so i ended up going back to my r37, but the red in the palette section is the correct red - a dark, deep crimson. and as usual shes pale af.

sweet alright !1.) Briefly describe your OC: Appearance, personality, role in a story, ect             Welkin: sky blue and pastel yellow palette for pretty much everything on his “main” character design (eyes, hair, shirt, pants, gloves, shoes, you name it) has spiky hair (LITERALLY hair was based off of Dirk Strider so if you need a close enough ref just look up him!! ) has lots of freckles (is naturally a redhead) and has a round kinda bulbous nose, and wide, alert eyes! can get discouraged easily. (He’s my very main character!)Derek: dark fuchsia/wine colored hair (undercut) and has light pink skin! Has                sleeve tattoos and a neck tattoo (sleeves are accidental inside joke and neck is family tattoo) very tall, left eye is black (pupil is white) and right eye is like a cat eye! has 3 pierces on each ear that line up (ALSO another family thing!) has a very angular and sharp face, pointy nose and less exaggerated eyes? (he’s one of my main characters also!)

2.) Briefly describe backstory/childhood          Welkin was brought up comfortably, learning to explore with his abilites and cooking. Derek, on the other hand, was brought up learning how to fight and do illegal underground shit with his dad and twin, which was very draining and took away from a lot of things that interested him much more. 3.) Describe their family life/friends          Welkin’s family is loving but not as close knit as it could be, he’s distant with his sister and doesn’t get to see his mom and dad as much as he’d like to. Derek’s family is much more involved, though now both Derek and Tex are on neutral terms with their dad. their mom, however, is their rock, and they constantly are together and have a very good relationship. Friendwise for both, its a group of 6 and they all get along pretty well.4.) What is the world they come from like?            Im not 100% sure, but its not like a replica of earth, there is other history and species and magic is normal but not like…. insanely normal.
