i think steven was just trying to be funny bc he was following the trope of "take on a spanish persona so no one will recognize me" (which idk if it's a formally named trope but i've seen it happen a lot). Obv this fails because it doesnt matter what his background is, /he's human/

the delivery was just so awkward for me tho, and yeah i think it was mostly bc they were in homeworld and the only thing steven had to be aware of was his last name and his geM jushfsug

Omg, NEVER apologize for bringing up homestuck. I LOVE homestuck very dearly even though it's no longer my main fandom, and I am literally always willing to talk about it.

This is such a good question and I wish that I had more to offer you. I really like Kyle and Cartman as derse dreamers and Stan and Kenny as prospit dreamers, but I am very open to being convinced otherwise - and I spent a lot of time ruminating over whether Kyle specifically was derse or prospit. I really enjoyed freesterart's southparkstuck when I scrolled through their blog, and they've obviously thought it through much more than I have - their intro pages for the characters are so good and so funny. If you have any thoughts PLEASE share them with me anon - and I'll definitely post about it if I have any more of my own!!!

1-4, 15-18 Derek and Welkin? :o

sweet alright !1.) Briefly describe your OC: Appearance, personality, role in a story, ect             Welkin: sky blue and pastel yellow palette for pretty much everything on his “main” character design (eyes, hair, shirt, pants, gloves, shoes, you name it) has spiky hair (LITERALLY hair was based off of Dirk Strider so if you need a close enough ref just look up him!! ) has lots of freckles (is naturally a redhead) and has a round kinda bulbous nose, and wide, alert eyes! can get discouraged easily. (He’s my very main character!)Derek: dark fuchsia/wine colored hair (undercut) and has light pink skin! Has                sleeve tattoos and a neck tattoo (sleeves are accidental inside joke and neck is family tattoo) very tall, left eye is black (pupil is white) and right eye is like a cat eye! has 3 pierces on each ear that line up (ALSO another family thing!) has a very angular and sharp face, pointy nose and less exaggerated eyes? (he’s one of my main characters also!)

2.) Briefly describe backstory/childhood          Welkin was brought up comfortably, learning to explore with his abilites and cooking. Derek, on the other hand, was brought up learning how to fight and do illegal underground shit with his dad and twin, which was very draining and took away from a lot of things that interested him much more. 3.) Describe their family life/friends          Welkin’s family is loving but not as close knit as it could be, he’s distant with his sister and doesn’t get to see his mom and dad as much as he’d like to. Derek’s family is much more involved, though now both Derek and Tex are on neutral terms with their dad. their mom, however, is their rock, and they constantly are together and have a very good relationship. Friendwise for both, its a group of 6 and they all get along pretty well.4.) What is the world they come from like?            Im not 100% sure, but its not like a replica of earth, there is other history and species and magic is normal but not like…. insanely normal. Its not like Spirited Away with talking and walking blobs as the norm :P15.) Would they live in a city area, rural area, or suburb?Id say city ! I don’t wanna say how and why bc Webcomic but city!16.) Which actor would you like to portray your oc? (or voice actor)            For Welkin, I said last year that adam perkins was my ideal voice for welkin, but with the growth of him, Id say maybe its not as perfect as i thought it was.. And for Derek, im honestly not sure :’P17.) Sexuality? Gender Identity?            Theyre both cis dudes but Welkin is gay and Derek is Bisexual? If im remembering right18.) What inspired you to make these characters?             Welkin was originally part of a “create an oc and pair it with your friend’s oc” sorta deal but then a year and a half later I decided to not do that anymore (the action/process was really bad on my part and I could’ve done it way better but. i didnt and here i am now)              Derek was my idea for a best friend of another character of mine, he was originally a nonbinary dfab weak oc and was concentrated 2014 tumblr talk but then he got renovated into Complete ASSHOLE who had a hatecrush on welkin and then he got renovated AGAIN into childhood bestfriend who is also in love with said bestfriend (and theyre dating) and uh hes not such an aggressive dick but actually more level-headed (not saying he isnt full of energy bc he is but more appropriately so)
